Automatically change datasource for several workbooks

Hi all,
is there any possibility to change the data source (source system) of several workbooks at once? We have several BW systems with lots of queries with only one test BO Machine. Each BW system has the queries, but with different data (for example for tests of large projects).
Example:
BW-Query Q123 on BW systems BW1, BW2 and BW3 (transported with BW-Transport)
Analysis-Workbook W123 with connection to Q123 on BW1 on BO System BO1 (transported with the promotion management from development system)
This Workbook has to be copied to:
W123-2 with connection to Q123 on BW2 on BO System BO1
W123-3 with connection to Q123 on BW3 on BO System BO1
We know that we can make a copy of the query and change the data source manually, but for let's say 50 workbooks or even more that's too much effort (as it has to be done several times if there are new versions).

did I get you right, you like to exchange the datasource name (within a workbook in my case Workbookname is Test_1)like in my (figure) example ReportDistributor_Q001?
Or do you like to copy the workbook( Excel) in DEV ( Test_1) to quality system as Test_2 (including the same datasource
Or do you like to change both , Workbookname ( Test_1 => Test_2) and name of datasource(ReportDistributor_Q001 =>ReportDistributor_Q001_2) ?
Just let me know what option you are looking for

Hi,
Pointing to an existing application to a new database means you are going to lose your forms, security, task lists etc. Instead, I suggest 2 options:
1. first make a duplicate of your app, use LCM to export everything, deploy duplicated app and import exported LCM profile back into this app. It's very straight forward.
2. Simply migrate & deploy the existing application to a new one. (right click on app in app library, select migrate). Although this is even simpler, this only applies to epma apps.

Some more information would be nice (how many computers are in the domain?), but I think I have what you're looking for.
What you need to do is change a registry key in the client computers. It's located in the registry at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation
The string name is DynamicDaylightTimeDisabled and the value for this item is
0 (Kind of weird - by entering 0, you're saying "No, I DON'T want to DISable daylight savings time).
Of course, you'll need to deploy this registry information to the clients from the server. There are several ways to do it, but the first one I'd try is to create a registry preference item on the server and deploy it as a GPP.

You can do this using a meta refresh but the problem is you have to add it to the html file for the page very time you publish changes.
A better way is to create a splash page and upload it to the server outside of the folder produced by iWeb. Example HERE.
The meta refresh is added to the head section of the html file...

Note - if your older apps needs an update it will use your old apple id and password, as Apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase it.
You can't merge apple id.

Thanks for the suggestion, Chris. I actually did not resolve the issue which is why i did not post an answer.
it turns out that my iphone seems to default to an incorrect User ID (it defaults to an @me account, which is not something that i have ever used).
even when i change the User ID in my settings for the iTunes store, it still appears when i attempt to get updates for my existing apps. however, it does seem to use the correct ID when i attempt to purchase new apps.
If someone actually had an answer to correct this, i would love to update my existing apps.

Is there a way to automatically change tabs with different times set for each tab?

I found a few add-ons that will automatically change tabs based on a configurable time. But all the tabs use the same time setting. What I need is the ability to have tabs displayed for different amounts of time. Ex, Tab 1 for 30 seconds, Tab 2 for 10 seconds, Tab 3 and 4 for 5 seconds. Ideally, I will have the ability to modify these settings as the amount of tabs and the content will change a couple times a week.
Currently I'm using Tab Slideshow with each tab displayed for 15 seconds. But it sounds like Tab Rotate and Auto Toggle Tabs essentially do the same. If there is already a solution that would be great but if not is there someone available for hire to help modify one of the existing add-ons? Thank you in advance for your time.

Because asset need to depreciate upto 70% of its net book value on the basis of SLM percentage base as per phase 1.
After that it must shift to phase 2 ,where depend upon remaining useful of that asset , balance value of asset need to be spread over.
But while testing in, it is not automatically shifted to phase 2 directly once asset reaches its 70% (ie.once condition given phase one get exhausted)
Then pls guide me what to do for automatically change over of PHASE from 1 to 2 ??

Hi Manjusha,
To meet your requirement, you have to mention changeover in T code AFAMA-changeover method "2" and the changeover % 70 and in second line you can give phase 2 changeover within planned life and give your depreciation methods after changeover.

Okay, I'm going to try and make as much sense as I possibly can without confusing people. I hope someone can help! So when I downloaded the iOS 7 update one 'major' change I noticed was that my album art in iTunes had automatically changed for me. It was really cool, more up-to-date, and overall enjoyed how it looked. Made it look a lot neater than my own album art I had put on there. Now, when I downloaded the new iOS 8 update I notice that all my album art when back to its original picture which I had put on there. How do I get it back to where it was when I downloaded the iOS 7 Update?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I know this isn't the most "dying for help" question, but I'm curious anyways to why it has changed. Thanks!

The Ps CS6 public beta version contains the same camera support as found in Ps CS5/5.5 compatible CR 6.6. There will be future updates to CR 7 for Ps CS6 to pick up more camera support. The Nikon D800 NEF files are not supported, yet.
If you like to work with your D800 files in the public beta build now, you'll have to get the DNG Converter 6.7 from here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/cameraraw6-7/
and convert your files to DNG.

DITA + FM: How can I change the automatically insert text for the element info?

when I insert the element info in a topic, FrameMaker automatically insert the text "ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:".
How can I change that?
I know how to change it for the elements result, postreq and prereq. I change the text format rules for the elements in the topic.edd.
But the element info has no text format rules and when I search in the topic.edd for the text "additional" or "info" I dont find something.

thanks a lot for your reply! I've found the code in the EDD on page 65.
"... is using the @type attribute value ..." - I have changed the values in the DTD (Structure\xml\DITA\app\dtd\commonElements.mod), but that didn't had any effect, not even after a restart of FM. I also changed the note attribute values in "dita-map.edd.fm" and "topic.edd.fm". Nothing. When I insert a note tag FM still inserts the original values.
Did I missunderstand something? Further tips?

Change a migrated DataSource for DB Connect Source System

I have created a DataSource for a DB connect Source system with transactioncode RSDBC as follows:
1. select database TableView
2. choose Edit DataSource
3. fill in the field Application Component (default stated NODESNOTCONNECTED)
4. generate datasource
Result: the datasource has been created in the right application component. As I want to migrate to BW 7 I have migrated the datasource (with export) and afterwards activated it. Now we need to add more fields to the database TableView. After the fields have been added I want to make these fields also available in the DataSource created before.
How can I do this ?
When using transaction code RSDBC I found out that the application component is stated again NODESNOTCONNECTED instead of the application component filled before. Is it possible that changes in the TableView will always lead to create the DataSource all over again (new InfoPackage, new Transformation rules, new DTP).

We have basically the same problem. An existing data source from a DB-connect client and now need to add a new field but edit mode BW does not provide the ability to add or delete existing fields.

Automatic change of data selection for full update

I have created datasource for full update and load data mannulay on weekly basis by date selection in infopackage.
If I want to schedule the job on weekly basis, is there any way to change the date selection in infopackage for each data load.
i.e. if the previous range was 1st to 7th for full update, then next it should become 8th to 14th.

Go to that infopackage - dataselection tab - calday field - there will you will type (near to TO value ) - there enter 6 for abap routine and give the name..
Eg :
data: l_idx like sy-tabix.
          read table l_t_range with key
               fieldname = 'XXXXXX'. " XXX- techname
              l_idx = sy-tabix.
data : date_low like sy-datum,
        date_high like sy-datum.
        date_high = sy-datum - 1.
        date_low = sy-datum - 5.
        l_t_range-low = date_low.
        l_t_range-high = date_high.
        l_t_range-sign = 'I'.
        l_t_range-option = 'BT'.
          modify l_t_range index l_idx.
          p_subrc = 0.
Here in the above eg , we are loading daily data from the interval of last 5 days.. ( from 03.02 to 07.02.08)
