Hello Experts;
We will do upgrade to ECC 6.0 at near time.
Our basis team will give us sendbox systems.
And then We will enter the all z or y programs and check "Unicode Checks active".
I want to do automatically "Code Check" and "Compile/Generate" with program.
But I don't know "which use function or program"
Please help me this point.

we just made a system copy. After the system copy we recognize with the
TA: rsrv: "Check if the generated programs of an ODS object are up to date"
that the generated programs of ODS are not up to date.
Can the reason be the system copy? We don´t really know the reason.

isn't there a repair button to fix it? I can only imagine to do it manually with checking the last change date of a ods and the last change date of the update program.

You cannot just download and upload module pool programs .
There are 2 different ways.
1. Copy all the includes and and create the same in the target system. You can download and upload the the Screen.
But GUI status you have to manually create.
2. If you have completely saved the module-pool program in one Workbench request(including Z tables u have used) in the original system ,just release the workbench request and copy the data file and co file and upload to the target system ( use CG3Y & CG3Z).
If the workbench is a Local Request save it in a Transport of copies and then move.

Automatic Inspection Check and Release to use

My client biz is manufacturing Electric Instruments. He wants an automatic inspection check whenever there is goods in the Plant and not all the quantity to transfer in the Inspection; the percentage of total Goods Received like 2% on total GR and that quantity of goods should be released from Inspection or Quality Check automatically and should transfered to Unrestricted use stock to use. Please guide me how to make this automation?

I think you can do this using Physical samples. You set up a sampling drawing procedue that calls for the quantity you want to inspect. In the QM setup, make sure the indicator "post to insp. stck. is clicked OFF. In this manner, all the material not rquired for inspection should go to unrestricted inventory. The sample qty will be in the inspection lot.

Automatically shut-off and restart LabView program, and Auto-run at PC restart?

Hello,
I am trying to periodically, say every two weeks, to close and restart a LabView program (stand-alone executable) that is running on a PC. That PC has only the Labview run-time engine installed from the LV program installer. I knew I can have Windows to do a "Scheduled task" to turn off and on my program, but I am trying to see if there is any alternatives?
Second question is, when creating the LabView installer (so others can just do regular installation to run the executable), can I somehow include a function/option such that the installer will create a short-cut in the Windows Startup folder (in Windows XP, Start -> Program -> Startup). What I want is that my LV program can start running automatically every time if the computer get restarted or power-cycled.

UNICODE and sap generated programs

Hi folks,
we're just in a project unicode-conversion of R/3 Enterprise, now we figured out some problems:
a lot of programs which are generated from info-structures like S0* structures reside in the sap-namespace and these are local objects, not transportable.
As these reports don't have the unicode-flag, they make syntax-errors in unicode-systems. So how to deal with them, do we have to generate these sources from customizing - or is there one report from SAP how can do this job????

To get it on your Mac Pro just copy the aplication from the aplication folder on your MacBook. You can do this via a thumb drive or over a local network connection.

Compiling and running Java programs on my laptop

I have just bought a new laptop but I can't run and compile Java programs using the javac filename.java command in the command prompt. I know I have to download something but I am not sure what link. I would be grateful if somebody could send me on a URL. My O/S is Windows XP. Can somebody advise please?

If you just want to run java applications, you just need the JRE: J2SE 5.0 JRE
If you want to compile java source code, you need the JDK: J2SE 5.0 JDK
It includes also the JRE. Recommended is also the J2SE 5.0 Documentation that contains the javadoc API that describes all the Java classes.

Automatic Delivery, PGI and Billing

Hi SD gurus,
Will appreciate the feedback on this. In standard SAP, upon creating and saving of sales order, we need to create outbound delivery ( and do picking for picking-relevant item ), then do PGI. Upon that, create billing document and save.
My question is, if upon creating and saving of sales order, I want to make the subsequent processes runs automatically, how can it be done ?
The triggering part from saving the sales order - can that be done via userexit ? If so, which userexit can I look into ?
For the automation of delivery, PGI issue and billing, are there any BAPI or userexit that can accomodate that ? If so, can anyone be kind enough to pinpoint to me how to locate it and if possible, what are the key things I need to look into ? I believe it can be done via BDC as well but I'm not too sure how to go around it.

   You can also create a BDC program where everything would be created on its own.You can take the help of ABAPer for this purpose.
It will also do the availability check and in your program you can create the logic that PGI would be done only if the confirmation date in the schedule line is today's date.
We ourselves have created the same scenario in our own project and it has worked really well.
                                           OR
Configure the sales order such that the delivery is created on saving the document. This can be achieved in sales order type.
Create a Batch job which does the subsequent steps.
On creation of delivery, use the function module 'ws_delivery_update' or 'SD_DELIVERY_UPDATE_PICKING_1' or 'BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CONFIRM_DEC' [take the Help of an ABAPer] to perform the PGI. In the end use the transaction for billing due list to create the billing documents.

Tax Jurisdiction Code Check as part of a Sales Order Partner Function

Hi,
I have a scenario where we modify partner information directly in the sales order. These partners are simple addresses and are not tax relevant. We have set them up as one-time customers. Every time when we modify the address information, Vertex kicks in and tries to match the address information (street, city and state) with a tax jurisdiction code. In our case the address information is high level (only city and state) which is not enough for Vertex. SAP issues then a blocking error message.
We try to find a way to ignore Vertex for these specific partners. In the documentation we have found a user exit, as well as a BADI, but our developpers were not able to make it work in the sales oder.
The user-exit is the following: EXIT_SAPLFYTX_USER_001
The BADI is the following: IF_EX_ADDRESS_SUBSCREEN
In EXIT_SAPLFYTX_USER_001, I've found a parameter (EXEMP_IND) which could enable to bypass the tax jurisdiction code check and the RFC call to Vertex.
In IF_EX_ADDRESS_SUBSCREEN, I've found a parameter (CHECK_ADDRESS) which could potentially bypass the check as well.
Did any of you already experience this scenario or would you have an idea about how I could make this work?

Unfortunately, the sales order is created through an interface (using iDOCs), and the external system feeding the iDOC for the sales order creation does not have any Zip Code information. Besides, even if the Zip Code is entered, it is still not enough for Vertex to choose automatically a Tax Jurisdiction Code, most of the times, it is also requiring a District, which again, will not be passed from the interface.
We went through this analysis already and we came to the conclusion that we need to bypass this check, as this partner function is not tax relevant.

Extended Program Check
Use
You use this function to perform static checks, which are too time consuming for the normal syntax check. The extended program check returns both errors and warnings and it is possible to run either individual specialized tests or one whole standard check.
Procedure
1. You access the extended program check by means of transaction SLIN. You can also choose Program ® Check ® Extended program check.
The system displays a list of possible check options. By default, all of them are selected. For detailed information about a particular option, position the cursor on it and choose F1.
The extended program check takes considerably longer time than other checks but it uses a buffer and the process speeds up after the first run.
2. Select any options you need.
For each option you have selected, the system displays an overview of the number of errors, warnings, and messages.
Only the especially critical warnings are displayed before the standard check.
3. Choose an entry to display the corresponding detail screen.
From that screen you can jump to the appropriate point in the program and correct the error.
Code Inspector The Code Inspector is a tool for checking Repository objects regarding performance, security, syntax, and adherence to name conventions.
Use
Using the Code Inspector (transaction code SCI), you can check individual objects or sets of objects for performance, security, syntax, and adherence to name conventions. You can also determine statistical information or search for certain ABAP words (tokens). In the Code Inspector, you can define inspections that, with the help of check variants, examine certain sets of objects. As the result of an inspection, you receive information messages, warning messages, or error messages on different properties of the examined objects.
Integration
You can call the Code Inspector using transaction code SCI or through the menu path SAP Menu à Tools à ABAP Workbench à Test à Code Inspector. Also, you can call the Code Inspector from the following transactions:
·        ABAP Dictionary (SE11) for DDIC tables
·        Class Builder (SE24) for classes and interfaces
·        Function Builder (SE37) for function groups
·        ABAP Editor (SE38) for programs or reports

Features
The range of functions in the Code Inspector is limited to checking static object definitions and can therefore only point out certain problems.
