Automatically Coping e mail messages

I have put a mac on my network in my office I want my employee’s e-mails that they send to be automatically sent to me. Is this possible?

I can set a per folder reading pane in Outlook 2013. Its a little weird, you have to sort of toggle it off and then reenable it again. I assume its the same for 2010, but I could be wrong. I have not tested it with a delegated mailbox however, you may have
to do the same thinng and toggle it back and forth.
Might be worth asking in the Outlook Forum to see if its even possible

Well, I was going to suggest using a mail rule. If you have already tried that I would think that the rule you have created didn't match the messages. I think if you still need help, you will probably need to post some more information about the type of messages you are receiving and the rules you have tried, then someone may be able to assist.
There are many guides to using rules in Apple Mail, I'm assuming you are familiar with them, but if not, Googling "apple mail rules" will bring up some examples.

Can I write a script to automatically clean out mail messages on server?

I have a serious mail.app difficulty where the program does not successfully erase all messages on my mail server.
Can anyone give me a hand on how to write a script that would automatically delete all already downloaded messages from two POP servers?

The issue is knowing what's already been downloaded - the mail server doesn't keep track of that, only the mail client.
That said, it should be possible to do - at least to delete all mail, but it might not be necessary. In most cases I've seen the mail client fails to delete messages because your scheduled check is too short - i.e. if you're set to check once per minute but you have so much mail on the server it takes 2 minutes to delete them all, the mail client fails. If that's the case just turn down your schedule to check less often (e.g. every 10 or 15 minutes) so that it has time to delete the messages.

Not automatically marking e-mail messages as read in outlook 2010

Our office has a user with an assistant set as a delegate in Outlook
(Exchange 2010 environment). Currently, if the assistant views an email in the
user's Mailbox, it is set to "Read" status, which can lead to confusion as to
which items have or have not been read by the mailbox owner. Is there a
setting (both users have Outlook 2010) that will stop items viewed
by the assistant from being set to "Read" status?

Is there a way, it can be done so that if the assistant(delegate) just goes to her manager's mail, it will be unread as long as she does not mark them read manually(Ctrl + Enter).
But, for her mailbox if the focus is on a message for five seconds, it is marked as read.
So, can the option to mark items as read be disabled for manager's mailbox, but not for the assistant? Does Exchange 2010 allow this?

Attachments not automatically viewable on mail messages

Hiya, I have recently updated to Mavericks & at the same time updated Adobe Reader.
Before the updates I could do this...
Receive an email from my suppliers with a PDF invoice, I would just click on the message & the email with the PDF invoice would both be open & viewable from the mail browser, I could also type in the search box with a product code & the email invoice would be shortlisted so I could find it easly, this product code could be found in seach due to the PDF already being open & readable in my mail box, It was great!
Now I receive the emails with a 'question mark' box for the PDF or a PDF symbol, I know I can quickview it ( in 3 different ways) but this is slow & I cannot search my email list for purchased products as it cannot read an unopen document
I have tried preferences on Mail, Reader & Preview to see if there is anything, even a terminal entry of....
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool no
that I found posted but no joy.
Any help would be greatfully received!

If you created as an Exchange account on the iPhone (not IMAP or POP) and you have Push on it should all work smoothly; Reading a message on either client should mark the other read (it does on mine). Try deleting the account from the phone, rebooting the phone (to clear out old settings), then go to Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendar, add an account and tap Microsoft Exchange and add the account back.
There is a fundamental difference between BB and iPhone that you should be aware of; on the BB you do not sync directly with Exchange; you sync with the RIM server which then syncs with your Exchange server. The iPhone syncs directly with Exchange using Microsoft's ActiveSync protocol. So in some ways they will behave differently. But ActiveSync should manage marking messages as read correctly.

Voicemail is through your carrier and on their equipment.
It's function and features is set by them, not your phone.

Quit the mail app then reset your iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
Also, when looking at the list of your emails that have already been delivered tap and pull down on that list then let go. This asked the Mail app to check again.

How do I get Apple Mail to NOT automatically check for new messages?

Under General, I have it set to Manually, under each Gmail account (2) I have UNchecked the "include when automatically checking for new messages" under "Advanced", but it still checks automatically. Are there other settings that effect this behavior? I want it to ONLY check manually.

It seems to be impossible to stop the automatic push - I found another email client that permits me to access gmail via pop3, and that permits several things that Apple Mail is deficient in (as far as I'm concerned) - permits delete of email on Gmail without having it deleted on my laptop, and does not permit autpmatic push. I need access sto ALL my email under MY organization structure on my laptop, even when I do not have internet access, and Apple mail does not permit me to manage things my way (neither does gmail).

I just started having this issue as well. I recently downloaded my NHL hockey teams ICS calendar file into my exchange account. After that, when I read an e-mail on my iPhone, it would close the window and go back to my inbox on my iPhone. I first turned off calendar sync on my iPhone. At this point, I could read e-mail. I then moved the NHL hockey team's calendar events into another calendar in a separate PST, then turned calendar sync back on on my iPhone. I can still read all my e-mail.

Why when I Attached a pic (jpeg) to a mail message it automatically down sizes image?
I want to send the acatual jpeg (3meg) not a down sized representation.
(I dont want to put in iphot as it's not a photo it's a good-resolution artwork image.)
Please please, how do i attached afile without it automaticlly being downsized??

I have same issue , no matter how I attach an art image from iphoto and choose actual image it automatically downsizes it , I cant send a 3mb picture and it has to go out in jpeg , I also use mobile me , nothing works, any help thanks

Please Help. I received 4 emails from 1 person with the same message heading. The emails were automatically grouped Apple Mail. I replied to the latest mail in the conversation. Once sent the other messages in the conversation disappeared. I NEED THEM BACK! They all had very important attachments. I have tried looking for them in deleted items, even though I didn't throw any of them away, still cant find them. Never had this problem before. I'm pretty sure its a setting somewhere. Also tried expanding all conversations, no luck. Searching for the mails under the sent email address, no luck.
I'm sure they are not deleted but have somehow been hidden by Mail. Very frustrating.

I have found found out what has happened. I had requested a statement dating back to April 2012 from a supplier. They replied back with the latest statementof 2013 only but used the same subject heading as the previous monthly statements. Apple Mail automatically grouped these and I thought that they were sent altogether. As soon as I replied to the last email all other the previous emails ungrouped from the conversation leaving me lost as to where they had gone. They were all still sitting in my inbox but no longer part of the trcked conversation. I searched under the subject heading and all individual mails were all still there. (feeling stupid - )

Outlook can not display htmldb mail message correctly

We are using some applications which constructed by HTML DB. All mail messages from HTML DB applications can not be displayed correctly in Outlook, but they are displayed very well in Netscape mail client. This issue happens in both HTML DB 1.5 and 1.6. Therefore, I am not sure this is HTML DB mail package issue or outlook issue. Have anyone experienced this issue. Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This was not well documented, but we have improved the doc for the next relase. Essentially, you need a carriage return / line feed every 1000 characters. This is part of the SMTP spec. The package does not do this automatically for you, so try adding them yourself. You can use utl_tcp.crlf for the crlf.

How do I mark an e-mail message for followup on a specific date?

I want to mark an incoming e-mail message to be followed up on a specific date/time. When that date arrives I want a reminder to pop up on my desktop. I can do this in Outlook, but would rather use the native Mac Mail if possible.

For some reason the Drag-and-Drop to the Calendar followed by Drag-and-Drop to Reminders does not work for me.

Thanks to Chuck Kalish for contributing the code. Now I can create the reminders with a single keypress, and I can also modify the code to tailor the exact text of the reminders to suit my needs.
