Automatically load mobile version of Blogspot blogs?

How do I force Firefox to load only mobile versions of Blogspot blogs?
Adding "Mobile" to a custom, site-specific useragent override works for Wordpress but not Blogspot:
general.useragent.site_specific_overrides = true
general.useragent.override.blogspot.com = "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:17.0) Gecko/20100101 Mobile Firefox/17.0"
I can force the mobile version by appending "?m=1" to a Blogspot URL, but could I make Firefox do this automatically? I tried some URL regexp plugins, but to no avail…
thanks

Try an iPhone or Android override instead.
Firefox for Android is too new, and websites may detect it as desktop Firefox.
Try iPhone user agent for example:
Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/1A543a Safari/419.3

  • [SOLVED] Loading mobile version by default with Qupzilla

Is there a way to load the mobile version of all websites by default with Qupzilla?
I can achieve this manually when the mobile version of the website resides in m.webaddress.something, but there are some sites that do not use separate addresses for mobile versions.
I think this is related to setting the browser agent, but in Qupzilla I only see agents for Desktop browsers.
Any hint? Are there other browsers with this feature?

Can you make your own user agent? The one above will get you mobile pages.

  • Stop 'mobile' versions of webpages

I have looked all through the settings for Firefox Android version, and can't find it: Is there some why to stop Firefox from loading 'mobile' versions of websites, when there isn't a "show full site" option on webpage.

Use the Phony extension and set the option to desktop Firefox.

  • Using My Yahoo desktop (not mobile version) as home page on iPhone4

Since IOS 7 was installed, the 'my.yahoo' I use for my home page changes from the desktop version to the mobile version on occasion, causing me to have to sign in again and change back to the desktop view.  ATT says this is a function of IOS7 which automatically uses mobile versions of software by default.  Can this be circumvented?

Look you can customize it very easily.
Press Alt+V to have the View Menu -> Select Toolbars -> Click on Customize -> Now drag the Home Button to anywhere on the toolbar and pick the Bookmarks Button from the available icons and put it in the toolbar.

  • Firefox automatically loads certain websites' mobile phone version.

Gawker sites (io9, lifehacker, gizmodo, etc.) are automatically loaded as mobile versions. Browser cache is cleared, firefox has no extensions or addons. 5 minutes prior to the problem arrising, everything was OK. Nothing was installed, nothing changed. Seems my firefox thinks my laptop is a phone.

  • Blog pages to show on desktop and mobile versions

I have a domain hosting separate desktop and mobile versions.  I need to have the blog posts show on both versions.
Posts such as http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1217947 state that I can define separate mobile and desktop templates for the Announcement module (although I can't see the option anywhere).  Is there something similar to the blog module?

    Hi,
You need to upload the mobile or tablet version of your template along with the desktop version as mentioned in this article and based on the device, the corresponding template will be served automatically :http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/creating-mobile-tablet-friendly-templates .html

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. • All websites automatically going to Mobile versions when using safari and firefox (likely started after mavericks update) Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Not exactly all websites but many seem to be defaulting to their Mobile versions when using my Macbook Air... this is not dependent on browser type (Safare, chrome and firefox have been tried)... this is a new problem and may have started after the  Mavericks update (although I am not 100% sure about the timing).
Has anyone had this problem? Any idea how to fix this?

  • Mobile version of community

    Hi Everyone
I am pleased to announce that based on the feedback we got from community members we have decided to reinstate the mobile version of the community.  So you can now access the forums on the move again!
It is important to remember that the mobile version does not provide all the forums’ features and functionality, but it is a scaled- down mobile-optimised version.  This will allow you to access the community and perform key tasks on the move, such as reading, creating and replying to posts.
See below for our Frequently Asked Questions about the mobile version of the community.
    Thx
    Kerry
Frequently Asked Questions for accessing the community on a mobile device:
How do I access the community on my mobile device?
You should use the same URL you use to access the main community – www.bt.com/community
What devices can I use to access the community?
You can use any mobile device to access the community, but the user experience is optimised on devices which use a WebKit browser, including AppleWebKit for iPhone and Android, S60 Webkit for Nokia, and  IE Mobile for HTC.  To optimise the mobile experience on Blackberry and other devices, Opera Mini can be downloaded, which will enhance the way the community looks on your device. Further details on device compatibility and suggested browsers is included at the end of this FAQ message.
What tasks can I complete on the mobile version?
The mobile version is intended to keep you up to date with the community when you are on the move.  This means that key functionality is available, but you cannot perform all functions that are available on the main site.  Key tasks you can complete are as follows:
    Sign in/out of community
    View boards, threads, and  messages
    Create new thread
    Reply to existing threads
    Mark messages as read/unread
    Give ratings
    Send and receive private messages
    Search the community
Follow other members (add to friends); See who is following you
    Change certain mobile settings:
    Turn on/off private messages
Subscribe to topics I post to
    Create a mobile specific signature
    View your profile
    View existing bookmarks
Link back to main bt.com site and Help site
Why can’t I do everything on the mobile version as I would on the desktop version?
The mobile version is intended for ‘on the move’, easy access to key functionality of the community.  Access on a mobile device needs to be quick to load and easy to read on small screens, so we have removed some of the extra features and functionality you normally see on the main site in order to achieve this.  For example, the modules you see on the right hand side of the main site such as ‘top rated posts’ are not available on the mobile version as there is not enough space on the screen.
How does it work?  If I post on the mobile version will it update on the main site?
Yes – the mobile version links directly into the main community site so any posts, replies, and PMs that you send will automatically be updated on the main site.
Do you plan to add any more functionality to the mobile version in future?
There are no immediate plans to add any further functionality than what exists in the current version.  However, we are always looking to make improvements to any services we offer so if you have specific feedback on additional functionality you would like to see on the mobile version, please send me a PM.
What should I do if I have any problems using the mobile version?
If you have any problems using the mobile version we would recommend posting your query in the Forum Guidance and Ideas board when you’re with your PC so other members can give support and advice.  The moderator team can also respond here if needed.
    How secure is my data?
User details are stored securely and encrypted in the community system.  The mobile version of the community is subject to the same tests as the rest of the community site and was implemented using the same security best practices.  Members are reminded that they can control what profile information is viewable by others via their user settings.
    Device compatibility chart
This table shows which device and browser combinations are supported and provide the best mobile experience:
    Device
     Browser required
    iPhone
    Apple WebKit
    Android
    Apple WebKit
    Nokia
    S60 WebKit
    HTC
    IE Mobile
If you have other mobile device/browser combinations we suggest that you download Opera mini as your browser to get the best mobile experience of the forums.

    Why isn't this working?

  • How can I turn off inherent features of Firefox? (Specifically, it automatically loads and displays the next page, but it will load OVER the current page)

With this version of Firefox, it automatically loads the 'next' page. When I'm reading blogs, when I click to go back, it automatically loads the first page of the blog as the 'next' page I want to go to. However, it will load this page OVER the page I am on, so that I cannot see it. With some blogs, it is so extreme, I cannot use Firefox on them at all. This isn't an add-on or anything, and I cannot find it in the preferences panel. Can I turn it off somehow/is there a way to in Firefox 4?

That is not standard behavior. You may have installed an extension that causes it.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]

  • Mobile version of the forum now available!

I am happy to tell you that we have just launched a mobile-friendly version of this forum!
It works automatically by detecting your device and browser, so just visit www.nokia.com/discussions (or any local Nokia site's forum url) on your phone, and you should get this lighter and faster version.
You can use all main forum functionalities: register and login, browse all topics, start new ones and reply. You can create your own mobile signature that's only shown to other mobile users.
This is our first version and we haven't tested it with every Nokia model, so please tell us what you think - do you like it, is something not working, what would you like to see added in the future..?
EDIT - Seems like we just found our first bug - for some odd reason some of the text was displayed white on a white background, so some of the posts were unreadable.
We're working on this, and I've just switched off the mobile view for a while.
I wrote all my posts from 2005-2011 as an "Admin" for this community. I still work for Nokia as an external consultant, so my rank in all posts is now "Employee".

    phonehacker wrote:
i've also tested the mobile version of the site on my N82.. it seems nice but when i login, it directs me for a little to the full version of the site and then automatically to the mobile version.
We've noticed the same - it seems that the Nokia site's header is loaded before the browser is detected and the mobile version is switched on. I hope we can do something about this.
