Automatically logged out from SQL tool on update queries

This is a local instance configuration issue. Our current setup has the unfortunate feature that whenever you attempt to run an "update" statement in the SQL query tool, you get automatically logged out. I was guessing that it's a permissions issue , but the DBA says it's not. Has anyone else seen this behavior and know what causes it?
thanks

  • Preventing automatic log out from Apex Developer session

    Hello,
I've noticed that I am frequently being logged out of my Apex Developer session whenever I am tryng to 'return' to application builder after running/testing my application (using Apex Developer). It seems quite random as to whether it happens or not, but since migrating to Apex v4.2 it appears to be happening more frequently ( based on my first week of using this version). Is there any setting that can be applied to prevent this happening or to extend the timeout/inactivity period before it does happen,
    thanks in advance,
    Kevin.

Login as INTERNAL / ADMIN and go to Manage Instance > Security. There, you can define the maximal
    Maximum Session Length in Seconds
    The help says:
"Enter a positive integer to control how many seconds an application session is allowed to exist. This setting is superceded by the application level setting. Leave the value null in order to revert to the default value of 8 hours (28800 seconds). Enter 0 to have the session exist indefinitely. This session duration may be superseded by the operation of the job that runs every hour which deletes sessions older than 12 hours."
    and the
Maximum Session Idle Time in Seconds
    The help says:
"Enter a positive integer to control how many seconds a session may remain idle for Oracle Application Express applications. This setting is superceded by the application-level setting. Leave the value null in order to revert to the default value of 1 hour (3600 seconds). Set to 0 to prevent session idle time checks from being performed."

YAY!!! Saved it in my Mac's Firefox Bookmarks for easy future access!
Hope you are having a lovely afternoon today! I'm about ready to go bobo....I have an early meeting, and I don't want to oversleep! The nice part is that I work remotely, so I only have to wake up 15 minutes or so before the meeting.... I don't even use an alarm clock anymore (really, my iPhone alarm, which is much more pleasant), unless I have to get up at 6:30 or something....

  • Automatically Logging out of my web hosting service

I am using my web hosting service with Firefox 3.6.13 and I keep getting automatically logged out of the web hosting service. I contacted tech support for the web hosting service and they said it was a problem with the browser - cookies/settings/etc - I couldn't find any solution. I need to be able to set Firefox so I can stay logged into my web hosting indefinitely. Thank You.

  • When I open tabs, I am automatically logged out of all tabs.

Firefox is having problems with certain web sites
    == Description
    ==
On a certain website, I like to work in tabs. I mainly am on the forums, and will have multiple threads up on tabs. However lately, every time I open a tab I get logged out.
If I stay and work in ONE tab I am fine, but if I open a second tab I am automatically logged out.
I have cleared cache, cookies, and all browsing history.
I have gone in and deleted/renamed the cookies.sqlite file, restarted Firefox, and that still doesn't help.
I upgraded to the newest version of Firefox, and still doesn't work right.

  • Automatic log-out after 20 minutes working in a layout

    Hello
We have an automatic log-out of the layout after 20 minutes of work. The time out is set up at 58 minutes. Does anyone know of a paramater in a 3.0B that would trigger this log-out ? Something separate from the main time-out ?
    Regards
    Fabrice

It is not different from main time-out as per my understanding.
As step 1, pls check your patch level to SEM. The current patch level is 12.
Step 2: The time-out/idle time parameters are set by the Basis consultant. Please explain to your Basis person and he/she will help you out.
Step 3: Have you checked that whether you are locked? whether your transactions take longer or longest time to excute? or hangs over? Then it may be a software bug. Please take-up with SAP OSS support.
PS: Please award suitable points if the answers provide direction and clue.

  • Opening OEM for two Oracle 11gR2 Databases in the same web browser automatically log out.

    Hi to everyone,
I have an issue regarding Oracle Enterprise Manager in 11gR2. I have two database (SWPROD, PDPROD) in a single server. When I open the OEM URL for  SWPROD it is successfully logged on but when I open the OEM URL for PDPROD and successfully logged on the other tab for SWPROD will automatically logged out. And when I switch to the other tab for PDPROD it is also automatically logged out. Both OEM URL is open in a single web browser like Mozilla Firefox. What would be the reason why both OEM URL will be logged out when I open them at the same time?
Thank you for your incoming response.

Well it seems the only way to clear these out of EM was to shut BOTH RAC nodes down and power them up one at a time.  Now the updates aren't shown as required and my compliance score is where it should be.
Is this a bug ?  Seems pretty stupid to have to shut down both RAC nodes to fix this.  Powering a single RAC node off and back on did not clear this.
    Unless i'm missing something??

  • I get unexpectedly logged out from my mail box and and recieve the following message: "The custom error module does not recognize this error."

I am repeatedly and unexpectedly logged-out from my mail box when working on a document. It frequently happens when I choose Send or Save, but it could happen any time. The file that I worked on disappears completely. Before, the file could be found in the draft box or some other place categorized as Auto Recovery. Now, instead, I get the following message: "The custom error module does not recognize this error." I am working at home, connected to a university server. The same problem appears with both of my computers, which are connected by a router. I have a MacBook Pro and am working with Firefox 6.0.2. I have a wireless broadband connection with Internet. Hi Phil,
Generally, when a user sends an incoming request to an Exchange 2010 Client Access server using Outlook Web App and the user’s mailbox is on an Exchange 2010 mailbox in a different Active Directory site,
Exchange 2010 determines whether the Client Access server has the
ExternalURL property set in that Active Directory site. If it is and the cross-site silent redirection has been enabled, the user will be automatically redirected to the specified URL.
Thus, please make sure the External URL property is set properly in your environment. And also
disable the WindowsAuthentication for OWA VD to have a try. If the issue persists, please try the following KB to reset the Outlook Web Access-related virtual directories:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941201
    Thanks,
    Winnie Liang
    TechNet Community Support
Sorry for the late reply.  Yes, the ExternalURL is set; otherwise, it wouldn't work at all.  98% of the time everything is fine.
My issue described a problem that appears only during session timeouts.  I've pretty much verified that this is the case; Exchange 2010 does not appropriately handle the timeouts sometimes when using cross-site redirection.

  • Majority of library gone after automatic log out?

So today I opened iTunes to find I had been automatically logged out - not a big deal, I didn't think. But now almost all of my music except for a small handful of songs and all of my pictures/apps/the like are gone.
I haven't made any changes to anything lately - no downloads or updates on either my computer or iTunes. Can anybody tell me what happened or how I could possibly get everything back?

Can someone tell me what the time limit is to stay logged in. I bet I have logged in 9 or 10 times today and am getting tired of it. I don't notice right away and look for a 'reply' tag and ....... grrrrr - gotta go log in again.
Oh, and is there a way to stay logged in maybe that I am unaware of.
    Thank you

    buz --
    It could be two things:
    1.  Automatic log out after 30 minutes.
No one has announced this change from the old AD boards.
    2.  The servers can't handle the load.
Again, no one has announced a problem with the servers.
It would be great if the Hosts here would just tell us which it is, eh?
