Automatically Uncheck Podcasts?

I sync my audio podcasts to my iphone but don't sync my video podcasts. Is there anyway I can make it so that when video podcasts automatically download the default is that they are unchecked?

Small update, yes I realise I can still play an unchecked song in iTunes (stupid me).
And this is weird - Looking at iPod in iTunes, I can see all these episodes of an unchecked Podcast, and the iPod claims 5.25gb free. I recheck the podcast, and it recopies the exact same files, but now I have 4.8gb free.

Automatically uncheck selected items in selectOrderShuttle?

Dear ADF gurus,
Is there an attribute in af:selectOrderShuttle tag that will automatically "Uncheck" the selected items after they are moved from the heading list to the trailing list?
I read through the online document and search in this forum and I couldn't find a solution for this requirement. Your help in resolving this is greatly appreciated.
I use the jdeveloper 11g r1 (build 5407) downloaded from the otn website.

I cannot check or uncheck podcasts in Itunes 12.

I am having trouble checking and unchecking podcasts when I want to sync my ipod. Usually I have to check the box beneath the one intended. Often can't uncheck a podcast at all, or another completely random box will check when I check a certain box. Does anyone have a solution to this? I never had this problem until I "upgraded" to Itunes 12.

I have had this same problem since ITunes 11. When I click the podcast I want to add, the button above that podcast is clicked instead. If there is only one podcast available, it will not click on that button at all. I have been clicking the podcast button under my device, clicking add, and dragging them over manually. However, due to continued syncing problems, I have to plug and unplug my iphone at least three times for it to work. I also have to reset my iphone. I have had this clicking problem since before the IOS change so that is not the problem. The syncing problems started with the IOS change. The last time I was able to sync podcasts normally was iTunes 10. I have an iphone 5.

Unchecked Podcasts Showing On Smart Playlist

Since the last iTunes update unchecked podcasts are showing up on the smart list. I have checked the match only checked items box. I have tried adding checked is true. Nothing has worked. The podcasts are not checked, but show as checked on the smart list.
Any ideas how to fix this?

I tried that and it worked. I already had the media kind as podcast and match only checked items set for the podcast. Your post helped in regards to unchecking the podcasts. I noticed that in the playlist that the podcasts that are checked that are actually not checked had the iCloud download symbol. I deleted all that had the iCloud download symbol and that took care of it.

Thanks for the prompt reply. The interesting thing is that my Macbook Pro was upgraded today to Yosemite and I still have the spinning wheel on the start up screen before the login page comes up.

I recently redownload all of my purchase Item on my computer, and today I bought the Iphone 4, my problem is that when I try to sync the Apps I have on my computer, Itune automatically uncheck the apps after I press the Apply option, so im unable to install the apps on the iphone

Automatically downloading podcasts - issue!

Ok, I have had an unfortunate situation.
I only have 5 gig on my peak d/l from my new isp of a week.
I have SERVERAL podcasts that I download each week.
I have NO internet service unless I use the off peak as itunes downloaded all my podcasts without me knowind - taking the bandwith.
How can I stop this and manually download when I want??

It's probably related to the quality of the Wi-Fi signal between your MacBook and AirPort Express. Launch AirPort Utility, invoke "manual setup" mode, pull down the Base Station menu and select the "Logs & Statistics" item, then select the "Wireless Clients" tab. That will show you information about that connection, including whether the times when the signal cuts out correspond to drops in the signal strength.

I can't remove an unchecked podcast from my iphone

Hello all,
I have my iTunes set to only sync checked Podcasts, but for some reason, some of my Podcasts are not being removed from my iPhone, even though I uncheck them on iTunes. Yes, I can swipe aqnd delete them manually on my iPhone, but before the software update, I was able to uncheck a Podcast, and it would automatically be removed from my iPhone, without me having to swipe it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think this problem occurs when you download podcasts onto your iPhone from the web, not via iTunes. I too had a bunch of podcasts that would stay on my iPhone after I'd listened to them. I tried upping the play count, deleting them in iTunes, even unsubscribing from the podcast, but they still stayed on the iPhone.
Anyway, eventually I tried swiping across them (like you do for email), and the Delete button appeared. So I deleted them manually directly on the iPhone, and finally got rid of them.
I guess this has arisen thanks to iCloud and you not needing to have a computer anymore to manage podcasts, etc. But still, you'd think the options you set in iTunes would be applied globally to all your podcasts, no matter how they got onto your iPhone.

Automatically download podcasts directly to iPod?

I'm trying to find a way to have my iPod automatically check for a new podcast (via my home WiFi), download new content, and shut itself off again. Does anyone know of something like this?
The reason I want this is that I would like to keep my iPod in my car's glove box connected via USB. When I drive to work in the morning, I want to listen to the most recent CNET podcast. Currently, I have to manually remove it from the glove box, navigate to the podcast page, select download on the latest one, and wait 4 minutes while it downloads. I want this to be automatic. Ideas?

ITunes automatically deleted Podcast file location?

I recently had an interesting situation that I can't seem to solve so I thought I'd turn to the community for help. I currently subscribe to a particuar podcast and have the iTunes settings configured to ONLY keep the two most recent episodes before iTunes automatically deletes older episodes. Everything was going smoothly until this week when I realized that I actually wanted to keep an episode that was automatically downloaded (the episode that was deleted was deleted today and I started serching for it today).
The simple answer would be for me to just re-download the episode that iTunes automatically deleted...but that is not possible. Unfortunately, the episode that I was saving is no longer available so I can't re-download it (yes, an episode from three weeks ago is no long available to download because the podcaster changed the episode and re-uploaded a new shorter episode in it's place). After checking the trash, I noticed the file wasn't there so I turned to a file recovery program (Disk Drill). After running the utility, I was able to locate all of the podcasts that I had manually deleted, but the podcast episodes that iTunes automatically removed (due to the settings I put in place) are not included in the list of files.
I'm assuming that iTunes must delete the files in some other method, but if that's the case, the files have to go somewhere, right? Any ideas on where these files may be located...or any thoughts on how to recover the podcast episode?

Seuleument si je n'écoute pas un Podcast pendant un certain moment Itunes arrête de me télécharger ce podcast de lui-même. Je dois donc ensuite cliquer sur le petit point d'exclamation pour me "réabonner" à ce podcast. Ce n'est aps vraiment gênant, mais je me dis qu'il y a peut-être une astuce.

If you aren't getting the reset link then you don't have a rescue email address, and you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions - you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use steps 1 to 7 half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

ITunes automatically unchecked "Manually manage music and videos"

Hey all, hope everything is well.
I have a frustrating problem that I don't know how to fix on my own.
So last night when I plugged my iPhone in to put some songs on, everything worked normally. I was able to edit the info and all that jazz, but today when I plugged my iPhone in...I noticed that I cannot add/delete/edit any of my music. I went into the Summary tab and seen that the "Manually manage music and videos" box is unchecked?! When I check it and apply, it says my iPhone is synced with another computer and all my data will be erased. I have spent 2 days doing album art and editing every single track info and the reason why it p*sses me off is because all of the edited songs on my iPhone are not edited in my iTunes library, so...if I do erase and sync, I would have to do everything over again for approx. 780 songs.
I guess it`s kind of my bad that I didn`t do all the editing/album art in the library THEN put the songs on my phone.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone maybe knows why iTunes decided to uncheck "Manually manage music and videos" for me.

You should be able to extract any media not in your library with the tips in this post from forum regular Zevoneer but I'm not sure what the implications are for your application settings.
If your IPhone has previously been managed from this library then application settings and data should be alright. If you transfer any missing purchases into the library with iTunes, recover any other media using third party tools and then backup the device you should be able to immediately restore the device from the backup to make sure that the device and library are properly paired.

Automatic Delete Podcasts in iTunes

I have iTunes set to only keep unwatched podcasts. But if i look in the folders iTunes stores these items, played files are still present. How do I get iTunes to delete them after they are played?

So I'll assume there is no way of doing this besides deleting them manually?

Yes and No checkbox - Automatic Uncheck

I use checkbox items for Yes and No questions in an application-type of application. The user is asked a series of questions that are acrossed several pages. There are several Yes/No questions in the applications.
The customer does not want to use radio buttons, they want to use checkbox. I want the checkbox to be handled in a similiar way (i.e., mutual exclusive capability). I want the system to uncheck NO if the user checks YES (and vice versa).
I want it to happen on the client-side, so I think I need to use javascript for this. I am not too savvy with javascript. I usually get my javascripts from articles, white papers, ApEX demo application such as Denes Kubicek's. So can someone provide me with a javascript to use? I believe it should run on the "onchange" event.

You can create additional pairs by changing cbox_yes_1 to cbox_yes_2 and cbox_no_1 to cbox_no_2 etc
In this example the Yes boxes are ticked by default. Whenever they change the No boxes are toggled. Whenever the No boxes change the Yes boxes are toggled.
