Automaticly exit fullscreen in browser

Right now I have a swf that has a FLVPlayBack with full
screen in a web page. Everything works great with it except that
when the flv is finished playing, the player remains in full screen
mode instead of automatically exiting.
Is there any methods of exiting full screen mode when
playback is complete?

not at the moment no. i would love this feature but it doesn't exist.
QooQee or MuseLayers has a widget that you can use to make a "header page"
which works like a bootstrap page,
you make a page that you want to be fullscreen (Page A) until you scroll
and then drop the widget into the page you want Page A to show up on (widget goes on page B, and you change the settings to have Page A show up first)
Very confusing workaround, and i used it for a website and when i clicked any nav links, it would keep the whole home page under it and duplicate the nav bar.
Hopefully they include this soon.
Only other workaround is to pin the rectangle to top of the page, and make it really long, and have everything else scroll over it.

In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:
#From the Firefox window click the Firefox button at the top left and select ''Add-ons'', or, if the Firefox button is not shown, click the ''Tools'' menu and click ''Add-ons''.
#Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
#You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
#To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the ''Remove'' button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
#Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.

• Dual Monitor Exiting Fullscreen!

I have tried really hard to find a solution to this, but latest news is from 2010?!
I use 2 screens, I have 2 screens!
And most often the main thing I am doing is only needing 1 screen, so the other one is perfect for watching a movie, watching youtube, watching streams.
But 2 days ago, something that makes me wanna gnaw my face off started to happen.
So
1. I go fullscreen on my secondary
2. I click anywhere on my main screen
3. This is leading to secondary fullscreen is exiting <,<
Please help me, I have tried the solutions from 2010 but obviously those ask you to mod outdated versions of Flash Player.
PS. This allso happens if I AltTab, so anything that makes the fullscreen not being the top window will make it exit fullscreen. Please help!

I finally solved it, it was in fact Google Chromes fault, no idea why.
There was no setting, that I chould find. But by reseting it all fullscreen started working like it should

After I upgraded to Firefox 5, I had the same problem and I did a work around temporarily. I went the tools menu, then Add-ons, then clicked the "Plugins" on the left side (4th one down). I "disabled" both Adobe Acrobat 8.3.0.280 and Adobe Acrobat 10.1.0.536 using the disable buttons on the right side. PDF files now open again. However they are outside the actual browser.
My guess is that Adobe didn't catch up yet with a new update to work with Firefox or vice versa.
Hope that helps!

This works great in firebox and opera, but when I exit fullscreen from Internet explorer the flash document is displayed at a 45 degree angle. I am doing this project in as3 and flash cs5. • Can't exit fullscreen DVD playback

Hello, I'm working on my first Director/DVD project, but have
found that I can't exit fullscreen playback mode when the project
is compiled as a projector (I can exit out of fullscreen fine in
the authoring environment). In fact, it seems as though the
application stops responding to all user input (mouse&
keyboard) when playing back fullscreen (the cursor disappears also,
although since it is playing back DTS I would imagine that is
normal?).
Is there anyway to interact with a projector in fullscreen
DVD mode? thanks

I see nobody answered you on this, but if you figure it out,
could you
provide the answer for future reference?
Thanks!

• Firefox exits fullscreen with 2 monitors

I am using 2 monitor, identified as display-1 and display-2.
I split 1 window of the Firefox in the display-1 and another in display-2.
I set display-1 to full screen (using the HTML5 video API), then I focus in the display-2. Just after focusing on display-2, display-1 exits fullscreen with the Title Bar showing on top.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/995644 don't helped me.
navigator.userAgent = "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0"

So if you zoom in and out on the second screen the first one goes out of full screen mode.
I also noticed on the bug that was references that the feature full-screen-api.exit-on-deactivate is no longer visible in about:config. It is possible to add it back. Right click on the about:config page and add a new entry.
Does adding it back make a difference?

• MozCancelFullScreen() not working and firefox not exiting fullscreen even though this function was called on document

I have a container which gets into full screen mode using mozRequestFullScreen() API but I want to get back to non-fullscreen mode after one of my custom event is fired.
As soon as my custom event is fired, I call mozCancelFullScreen() API to exit full screen but this seems to be not working. Firefox is not exiting fullscreen even though this function was called on document.
I have to press "Esc" to get into non-fullscreen mode.

• S:VideoPlayer not 100% size after exiting fullscreen

Hi,
I'm having a problem with the VideoPlayer size shrinking down when exiting full screen.
I have the VideoPlayer included with width 100% and height 100% which fills the browser window nicely. However after hitting the full screen button and the Esc, the VideoPlayer shrinks down to a tiny size (seems to be the size of the original video file, or perhaps the VideoPlayer "default" size).
This simple appplication produces the error:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<s:Application name="Spark_VideoPlayer_skinClass_test"
xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"

width="100%"
height="100%" />
</s:Application>
I'm using FF3.6.3, Flash Player 10,1,52,14 on Mac OSX Snow Leopard.
Is this a known issue? Does anyone have a solution? Presumably there is some sort of "re-initailise" call or something I can make?
Thanks,
Mark

Yes that is the same issue.
The problem still exists for me. The closest I have gotten to a solution is adding a stage resize handler the video. Although I was having issues with the video not scaling back down after the foolowing steps were taken (I'm not ruling out a bug in my code being the issue in this case):
1. Load page to see video fill the browser window
2. Resize the browser window smaller and larger to ensure the resizing is working
3. Hit the full screen button to see the movie go full screen
4. Exit from fullscreen by clicking the button or hitte Esc key
5. Observe the video still fills the browser window
6. Enlarge the browser window to see the video expand to fill the window
7. Resize the window smaller to see the video DOESN'T skrink back again
My sample code is now as follows:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<s:Application name="Spark_VideoPlayer_skinClass_test"
xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/halo"
applicationComplete="init()">
<fx:Script>
<![CDATA[
* Initialise the app
private function init():void {
stage.addEventListener(Event.RESIZE, resizeVideoHandler);
* Keep the video size at 100%
private function resizeVideoHandler(event:Event = null):void {
if (videoPlayer.videoObject) {
if ((videoPlayer.width != applicationContainer.width || videoPlayer.height != applicationContainer.height)) {
videoPlayer.width = applicationContainer.width;
videoPlayer.height = applicationContainer.height;
]]>
</fx:Script>
<s:Group id="applicationContainer" width="100%" height="100%">
<s:VideoPlayer id="videoPlayer"
source="http://helpexamples.com/flash/video/cuepoints.flv"
width="100%"
height="100%"
updateComplete="resizeVideoHandler();" />
</s:Group>
</s:Application>
Any further advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,

• "ESC" event keycode not detected in document.keydown listener while exiting fullscreen mode

I have a code to fire on exiting full screen mode.
Therefore, i bind it to :
# (window.document).keyup(function(e) {
# if(e.keyCode === 27 ) {
# // do something //
Now, When i am in fullscreen mode,
1. When i press "ESC", Fullscreen mode exits but my function does not gets fired.
2. When i press "ESC" after fullscreen mode have exited, My function gets fired.
That means "ESC" event was not propagated to code when browser was in fullscreen mode.
( * This works correctly in chrome )
3. This is bit too much too ask, but can i bind browser's exit full screen button which appears at the top ??

If you are using HTML5, I think the way to do is to bind with the fullscreen APIs that are still in''progress''. You could try these two links to see if that helps you
#[http://www.sitepoint.com/html5-full-screen-api/ HTML5 Full screen API]
#[https://wiki.mozilla.org/Gecko:FullScreenAPI Mozilla support for fullscreen]
#[http://www.sagarganatra.com/2012/05/using-html5s-fullscreen-api.html HTML5 fullscreen API]
You could create an event listener for the document.cancelFullScreen() and then see if that helps.
Any specific reason why you want to bind to the button and not to the event?

POSSIBLE SOLUTION!
I am using Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium SP1. This same problem has frustrated me to no end. I have been searching the web for answers and spending hours trying to troubleshoot this problem. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, disabling all of my browser plug-ins and nothing worked. I contacted Apple Technical Support and spoke to a product specialist who also didn't really know how to solve this problem but he did point me in the right direction - Internet Explorer 7's security settings.
I read that one person had success in changing Internet Explorer's "Internet" security zone setting from "Medium-high" (the default) to "Medium". To do this, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security tab -> Select "Internet" zone -> Slide security level bar down one notch to "Medium" -> Click "Apply" (You may need to restart your browser). If that works for you, then great, no need to do anything further (it didn't work for me), except I would recommend once the iTunes store links are loading okay for you, to put the setting back to "Medium-high" for security reasons. To understand more on why it should continue to work on "Medium-high" from then on, please read on...
I believe the cause of this problem is related to one particular setting (Out of only a couple that are different) in the "Medium-high" security level which is different from the "Medium" security level. That is the "Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt" setting which is diabled in "Medium-high" but enabled in "Medium". Basically, if set to "disabled" (As it is in "Medium-high"), then this setting says that if an ActiveX control (such as the iTunes ActiveX control that loads those iTunes links) has never been used before, don't let it load. Since iTunes installs this ActiveX control into Internet Explorer without causing it to be used yet, then the "Medium-high" setting prevents it from running. However, once the ActiveX control has successfully operated, even once, it is no longer considered a "previously unused ActiveX control" and will operate from then on, even when you set the security setting back from "Medium" (to allow it to run) to "Medium-high" again (once you've got it to run).
Unfortunately, for me, as I said earlier, setting my settings to "Medium" didn't solve the problem. I still kept getting that download pop-up that says "Browserredirect" "Unknown file type" with the "Find", "Save", "Cancel" buttons which do me no good.
_Here are the steps I took to get it working for me. Maybe it will be of help to you._
1. Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security tab.
2. Select the "Trusted sites" zone and slide the security level bar down to "Low" and click "Apply".
3. On the same tab, click the "Sites" button.
4. In that pop-up, uncheck the box at the bottom "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone".
5. In the "Add this website to the zone" field, highlight what is in there and delete it and type in "http://*.apple.com" (Exactly but without the quotes) and click "Add". (This will mark all apple.com webpages as the only safe sites for this zone).
6. Click "Close", click "Okay". Then close your browser and re-open it.
7. Go to www.apple.com/itunes. When you do this, IE will want to load it in another window, click "yes" to continue.
8. In the new window, scroll down to the bottom of the now open Apple iTunes webpage (www.apple.com/itunes) where it has links to items in the iTunes store, and click one of them (a movie link/picture, a song link/picture, app link/picture, etc.).
*It should now load up iTunes from any iTunes link. If it does, please follow the rest of these instructions to put things back to safe levels* -
9. Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security tab.
10. Select "Trusted sites" zone and slide the security level bar back up to to "Medium" (Which is the default for this zone) and Click "Apply".
11. On the same tab, click the "Sites" button.
12. In the websites list click on the "http://*.apple.com" entry and click "Remove".
13. Click "Close" then click "Okay".
14. Restart your browser and try loading an iTunes store link from any webpage such as the aforementioned www.apple.com/itunes site. It should now continue to work, even with your internet zone set to "Medium-high" (It's default) and your trusted sites zone set back to the way it was before.
I don't know why these were the exact steps I had to take to resolve this, but I thought I'd post them in case it is of help to anyone else.
Something else that might help if you're still having difficulty is to go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security tab and click the "*Reset all zones to default level*" which will make sure you're not running on any modified security settings which might interfere with the above steps. Note that any custom changes you've made to these security zones will be lost and will revert back to Microsoft's defaults.
If anyone needs any further help with this issue, feel free to write in this thread and I'll try my best to help further.
