Automation of Smartview Connectivity check

Hi Friends,
I have few Smartview URLs ( http://server:port/workspace/SmartViewProviders, http://server:port/hfmofficeprovider/hfmofficeprovider.aspx ) using which I use sometimes to check only connectivity through MS Excel.
Is there any way I can automate this Smartview connectivity check (any command line option, any Web-Url access method etc. which can be automated.)

Check and see if the EPM validate tool give you the information you seek. If so you can schedule the .bat job for checks. http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epm_install_1112200.pdf p.303. There are URL checkers (3rd party as well.

Have you tried re-booting your WiFi router ? It may seem OK on your PC, but a re-boot may help.

I have I pad 2 and every time I try and get on message or FaceTime it says cannot connect check internet but I have full signal I have tried everything but no luck

SmartView connections using load balancing

Is there a way to create a connection in SmartView to the Planning application that uses the load balancing functionality? When we log into the Planning web application we have a connection that provides load balancing between the 2 Planning servers. It appears that the only connection you can provide in SV for Planning is a direct connection to a web server like this: http(s)://<servername>:8300/HyperionPlanning/SmartView.

I did a second look at my configuration and it actually looks like Workspace is the only Smartview connection that I have load balanced. For Planning, once connected to the Hyperion Provider Service URL the Planning applications show under the Common Provider Connections. The Planning connections point to the URL of the APS.....which is just like what you use. http://servername:8300/HyperionPlanning/SmartView
Reading through the EPM High Availability Guide, it appears that it can be done for APS but it seems that might no longer support Planning:
The following list specifies supported clustering methodologies for EPM System product and components (with sublists for components) and options for removing single points of failure from the architecture and maintaining consistent performance through load balancing.

MDM connection check

How to check the MDM connections and services from Enterprise portal

Hi,
You use the System Connection test to check connectivity of all the system objects that you created to the system defined in the portal, for example MDM.
First of all server and repository should be up and running in MDM BOX.
Then
       1.      Log on to the portal as a system administrator(who have sufficient rights)
       2.      Navigate to System Administration - System Configuration - System Landscape
       3.      In the Portal Catalog, navigate to the folder in which your system object is located.
       4.      Perform a connection test for all system objects that you created.
A confirmation message appears if the test was successful.
so you can make out that cannection is successful. or from MDM side you can also check as Priti suggessted in upper post.
         If the test does not succeed
○       Check network connectivity
○       Check that the MDM Server is running and that the repository is loaded
○       Refer to the Builds Default Trace File Logs to review error messages.

im trying to add a node to my 11.2 grid infrastructure and the cluster verification is returning error
Check: TCP connectivity of subnet "152.15.123.0"

Result: TCP connectivity check failed for subnet "152.15.123.0"
this happens when i run cluvfy with pre nodeadd option, there is no other failure ...
any idea what it could be ?

Please note that inode2:127.0.0.1 is using loopback IP, please check your network configuration and retry the cluvfy operation.

E66 "internet: unable to connect check connection ...

I recently did a hard reset on my e66. It overwrote all my userdata and settings. since that day i cannot use my WLAN connection anymore. whenever i try to start browsing using my WLAN connection it takes around a minute and then times out saying e66 "internet: unable to connect check connection settings"
i tried a firmware update and everything.
The AccessPoint is configured properly on my pohne and worked with the same settings prior to the reset. I checked all the settings on the phone. Whenever I try to establish a connection to my network it times out. i willingly changed some settings to wrong values. all lead to the corresponding error messages. but when i enter everything correctly i always get that unable to connect message.
I have the problem with or without SIM-Card.

Might be a router or accesspoint problem.

Outlook is a mail client for PC's and Macs. There is no such thing as "Outlook" for iOS.

Disable "Estimated network bandwidth on one of the connections" check

I have several Windows clients that hang at applying computer settings when starting up. All computers that show this behavior have 2 network adapters. One is the physical adapter another is a virtual adapter created by 3rd party software. Virtual Network
adapter always stays enabled (even if you disable it, it comes right back to the enabled state) and has an APIPA address assigned to it. The OS sees the adapter in connected state and attempts to estimate the network bandwidth on that connection,
but since no traffic is being passed through on this link it's forced to wait for the time out, which causes the delay. So the question is, how do you exclude a specific network adapter from being checked for bandwidth at the OS start
up?

HFM Smartview connection issue. error 404

Hi,
I am getting error while connecting to the smartview to my HFM Applications
error" Can not connect to the provider.Make sure it is running in the specified host/port.Error: 404

SmartView Connection to Shared Services Error

I have installed 11.1.2 on Windows 2008 (64bit) in stand-alone mode. I also have Excel 2007 installed on the same machine. I took all of the default ports when setting up the server instance. I installed SmartView(32bit) on the same machine with no errors. When I try to connect to "Shared Connctions" through the SmartView home window, I keep receiveing an error message: "Connection to Shared Services failed Error Message: 'Cannot connect to provider. The server name could not be resolved.' I have tried replacing the server name with it's physical IP address,; I have tried all of the typical ports; but cannot seem to resolve the problem. My URL reads as follows: "http://testsys:13080/workspace/SmartViewProviders' I have a 11.1.1.3 instance on another server works fine, but the URL is a bit different (http://server:13080/aps/SmartView). Any help would be appreciated.

Did you assign your Hyperion Provider Services URL?
I am guessing that 11.1.2 hasn't changed that much from 11.1.1.3.
In 11.1.1.3, it's under Options and is in the lower right hand side of the Options form.
When you have that set, and then click the Connect button in the Data Source Manager, and then Connect to Provider Services, what happens?
You should see: Oracle BI Server, Oracle Essbase, and Oracle Planning. Do you get that far?

Smartview connection issue

While connecting to Smartview, the connection gets hanged. Window for User Id and Password never pop's up . There are no error messages displayed and no errors in Smartview log file. This happens for all the users.
Any idea's what could be the issue here?

We just upgraded from 11.1.2.0 to 11.1.2.1 and are facing the same issue. I haven't found any reference to ER 8246706: CANNOT SUBMIT DATA FROM ADHOC VIEW FOR A MULTICURRENCY DATA FORM in support.oracle.com or a patch for 11.1.2.1.
Are you aware of any patch available for release 11.1.2.1?
