Automation Values in Groups: Fader Drags vs. Node clicks

Thanks in advance helpful people, I'm sure this is obvious or not possible... one of the two. I'll just explain it as an example.
I have 4 drum tracks (Kik/sn/l&R) selected as a group with what I think are all the correct group settings. All four fader values are starting at different levels, and when I raise and lower a fader, all raise in relative level.
Now I put it in Automation mode. When I change automation levels via the fader (in touch or latch) as the tune plays, the levels differences stay same (Ex: track1> 1.5db up to2, track2> 2.3db up to3).
I want to be able to do this with adding a node click as well. When I click on one of the group's region with Automation enabled, all the track fader levels snap to the same db. Is this normal? I want the relative differences to stay the same, but raise all four in their relative level.
Any help would be appreciate... this along what seems to be an UNDO bug is driving me nuts. Thanks

Here is my example: I have two GTR tracks from two different mics, I have them panned just the way I want, and the volume difference just the way I want. Your suggestion makes sense about changing both in volume... but is there a way to keep the placement in the stereo field the way I like it... cause whether the Aux channel is clicked as mono or stereo... I loose the Placement.
The reason that I need to keep the stereo placement is that it's causing the good type of phasing. Thanks... I didn't feel like a newbie until today!

Entering Automation Values

The Auotmation features are great, but is there another way to enter in the value changes rather than clicking/drawing/dragging them? or can you enter in more defined values similar to the way you enter values into the Event Lists window? The standard method seems a bit imprecise (not that anyone would hear the diffrence a few ticks here and there would make)... just curious.

That is correct. And you can use this window in conjunction with the Marquee Tool if you wish. Mark the area around the node you want to adjust, open the Automation Editor window, adjust the value of the node and it is updated immediately. Handy feature, but I´d probably just drag the node itself... But anyway, nice trick it is.

In PI 7.1 Integration Directory there is one section as "Value Mapping Group".I suppose that it is used if and only if value mapping is used.But I am not using any kind of value mapping so can I skip that section?

Actually I am having the Process Order coming in the source with 5 to 6 relevant fields.Out of these Process Order fields Status is one of the fields.Based on the the StatuS field the BAPIs will be called at the receiver.So can I skip Integrated Configurations as I am imposing the condition on the data in the payload(Source Structure) as Integrated configuration will not be helpful in my scenerio.?
Or shall I skip Sender Agreement ,Receiver Agreement?

HP QTP10 cannot read Automation values of Advanced DataGrid

Hi everyone,
We're an Automation functional testing team, testing a flex application with HP QTP v10. So far we've successfully automated many parts of the application. Now, we're struck at a serious issue.
The issue is QTP cannot read automation values specified for an Advanced Datagrid (ADG).
While trying to read row data of the ADG, the automation name of QTP shows like,
"lblData | someGroup | | ** | | | | | | | | | | lblData"
The screenshot of Object Spy while spying ADG is also attached.
Other than the Automation Index, we are not able to populate any automation values of a row data.
The ADG is a custom one. Our development team has customized it in some way, and we dont have access to the code. They are using an External renderer or Custom renderer to render values into the column.
As there is no possiblity for value-based recording, we tried to access the ADG with index-based recording. Then, we 're able to perform operations like Click, but cannot read contents of the row/cell.
We're using:
HP Quick TestProfessional v10.0
Flex plugin 4.5
Internet Explorer 7
Flash Player v10
Our Questions are:
How to get automation values for these custom ADG?
Is there any other possible ways to access the custom ADG components other than these automation values?
Do we need any patches/plugin upgradation to perform this?
Is there any other tools in market that can recognize and access these custom ADGs?
Without these automation values we're unable to proceed further work. Any replies/comments/help are welcome.

Note that this sort would be unstable so you might be better off using a second field to get stability.

Value not available in the context node

Hi,
I have created one custom component through BSP_WD_CMPWB with only one view called u2018partneru2019 with sample button.
In this view partner ,then created one model context node with reference to u2018 BuilHeaderSearchu2019 search component with only one attribute u201CPartner IDu201D.
When I test the component , WebUI screen shows partner id input box, and sample button. After entering partner id value in the input box, then I am pressing sample button. But entered value not available in the context node. Please help me, how can i get this value?

XI30 - Value Mapping Group ?

Inside XI, I need to create several conversions.
I want to use a "Value Mapping" and not a "FixValue".
I succeed with a simple test with a value mapping...
But as I need to create about 30 value mappings, I need to know exactly what is a "value mapping group" in order to integrate it correctly?
Example of conversion table: UnitMeasurement (like table T006B of R/3)

Currently inside XI30, I have created this value mapping:

A Value Mapping Group helps you to keep values of different systems together and it is useful, when you want to maintain values for three or more business systems.
Example: You have three business systems A B C and have different values for Company Code in each system
A B C
0001 T100 A-01
0002 T200 A-02
0003 T300 A-03
Now you can maintain the values as pair of agencies:
A B Group Name
0001 T100 T100
0002 T200 T200
0003 T300 T300
And you can maintain the values belonging to the same group:
A 0001
B T100
C A-01
You need not maintain values for groups, so leave it empty, when you have only two different columns of values.

Problem with Assigning more than one value to GROUP dynamically

I have a problem with assigning more than one value to GROUP varible dynamically.
I am able to assign only one value dynamically through Initialization block
I have even tried with the ROW-WISE initialization blocks..
using this query..

if GROUP_1, GROUP_2 are two groups to be associated,
through this, i'm getting " GROUP_1;GROUP_2 " into GROUP variable ( seen from Narative view )
And the properties and securities of this Groups are not inherited.
Please let me know if there is any other way to Populate the GROUP variable dynamically with more than one value.

i finally got in this way..
i had created a function which takes USER_NAME as input and returns a string that contains the GROUP names with semicolon delimeted..
Though it is same as that of ROW-WISE initialization,
the properties of those groups are also being inherited..
Now, i can assign more than one groups and its properties to a user dynamically.

Get value of field object when I double click on any column of report

We are converting our projects from .NET 2003 to .Net 2008 and upgrading reports10 to crystal reports 2008 and changing our Active x report viewer control to crystal report viewer.
We donu2019t use reports just to see and print the data. Our use is a bit more.
As we were using Active X Control (CRAXDDRT) to perform different operations
Following are some functions which are included in our requirements:
1-     We need the columns width to be flexible which we can changed in the code dynamically according to the users wish
2-     Setting text of some fields dynamically from .Net code
3-     Hide and show the columns dynamically from .Net code
       Upto here we are done using crystal report 2008 and .net 2008
       Now we are stuck with problem
4-     When we double click on fieldobject at runtime we are able to fetch the value of field object by using e.objectinfo.text.tostring, so far it is perfect
But we have different situation here and need a solution for this
I have two fields like Account ID and Account Description
I need the solution so that when user clicks either on Account ID or Account Description I should be able to fetch the Field object value of Account ID Column only so that i will be able to open different forms and reports based on that ID
As we were doing it before using Active X Control the code snippet is giving below

I am getting value of that cell where I am clicking. But I need the value of other columns also in that particular row where I double clicked. For this I gave one example also that suppose I have a report where there are two columns. One is AccountID and other is AccountDescription. Now if I click on Account ID I get the value of AccountID and when I click on AccountDescription I get the value of AccountDescripiton This is oK n good but I want that If i double click on AccountDescription I should be able to get the value of AccountID also.Please tell me is there anyway to do so?

Pass values to parent report's parameter when click "Return to prev.."

We have one report A which has parameters(use prompt to select value, not URL) to filter data, A has drill across action to report B(replace current report), we now can pass A's parameters to B.
But if we click the "Return to previous Report" in B, all parameters in A dismiss. A report lose parameters used before, and we do not know how to pass parameter to A again, (all action must replace current report)

While creating prompt for Report A, you can set its default value (in prompt window before the last step where it lists all the values from the data object, you can click on the value and then click the arrow button). This way, when you return to A from B, at least it will open up with the default prompt value.

How do you add artwork in itunes 11.0.4.4?It was easy on previous versions by either drop and drag or right clicking the song and pasting the artwork in the box...Is there an easy solution?

I recentlydownloaded Itunes version 11.0.4.4 and am having difficulty adding artwork to any new folders of music i add to my ipod classic.In prior versions you could either drop and drag or right click on the song,go to "get info" and paste and image into the artwork tab.Can't do either of these now.How do you add artwork in the latest version of Itunes?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem and i came up with a very simple solution that worked for me.
Step 1 Look for the folder where your mp3 is stored. (example My Music Folder)
Step 2 Right Click on the music file and select properties
Step 3 On the General tab UNCHECK read only and click OK or Apply
Step 4 Go to itunes and rightclick the music title
Step 5 Select Get info and paste or drag your Album artwork at the Artwork Tab.

Value in input field of Hier.Node variable displays tech.name of the IO

Dear all,
we are facing an issue with Hierarchy node variable(auth.) in the selection screen of webReports.
After selecting a hierarchy node value,it is displayed along with + sign and tech.name of the Infobject in input field .
example: lets say we have Country Hierarchy and i have selected Country group 'NAM' node..This is displayed as "+NAM(ZCOUTRYGRP)". where ZCOUTRYGRP is tech.name of the InfoObject Country group.
Expected value is just "NAM" which is Key .Does anyone have solution for this? This Problem occuers when we select Level 01 value of hierarchy and we do have hierarchy node values from same INfoObject.

Two resource groups one on each node.

Hi I am setting up a sun cluster with two nodes and storage.
I want to run oracle and weblogic.
I dont want to run both on the same server as the load matters and there are two boxes which can be used.
I am planning to setup two resource groups with logical hosts one on each box and buind oracle to one and weblogic to second logical host on the other box.
Now my requirement is,,
I want first box to be primary for oracle resource group and second box to be primary for weblogic resource group.
Can you please tell me how to configure different resource groupes to start on different boxes?

Hi, This document talks about bonding the resources in different ways. But doesnot suggest setting dependency between resources in different resource groups.
To make it little more clear.
I have box1 and box2 as nodes of cluster.
the resources are distrebuted as follows.
-----Box 1-------------------------Box2-------
resourcegroup1--------Resourcegroup2
logicalresource1-------logicalresource2
Weblogicresource-----Oracleresource
I will configure the resources to start on different nodes on startup by providing node list in different sequence for each resource group.
But I want to set the dependency here..the "WeblogicResource" should not start before "Oracleresource".
Can I straightaway set the dependency as we do for resources in same group or is there any other method to do this?
Since I donot have a ready/usable test cluster I am unable to try it before posting the question.
Please let me know the possible solution for this.

How to get the name and value of an attribute on a node/element that is not a child

Can someone shed some wisdom on how I can compare 2 xml nodes for differences.
My main challenge is I need to use the attributes/values of 'ProductDescription' and 'Features' as 'key' to identify the same node in
another doc with the same layout, but different content.
I am having trouble getting the name of the attribute on the node, 'ProductDescription' and 'Features'. I can only seem to get the node names, but not the attributes on the node. I need the name, because it can be different from doc to doc, so
I can't hardcode this.
Can someone please help with how to retrieve an attribute name/value on a node that is not a child. Here's an example of what
my xml looks like:

I need to compare the attributes of 'ProductDescription' and 'Features' from @mydoc1 against @mydoc2 to see if they are the same based on those 2 nodes first. If they are, then i want to show the difference in the child elements.
This will eventually be an outer join to give me the differences betw the 2 docs based on those key values (node attributes).
I used node('//*') for the path, and value('local-name(../.)', 'varchar(50)') as element
,value('.[not(@xsi:nil = "true")]','VARCHAR(255)') AS new_value
...etc...
but that only gives me the node names, and the child elements. It does not give me back the attribute names and values from the node itself.
