Automtic Cache Update is not done !!!

Hi all,
I read some articles that state the Cache Update is done automatically when "the Object Change list" on ID is activated.
In my case, after activating the list, the cache update is still with status "waiting for starting" even if all notifications have green light.
Is anyone know how the cache update from ID to IS is technically done ?
Is there any setting to change or to activate to perform the automatic cache update ?

This URL is very helpful for analysis...but I am still investigating.
In debugging mode, I got these messages:
com.sap.aii.integrationserver.serviceuser.language not found
com.sap.aii.integrationserver.serviceuser.pwd not found
com.sap.aii.integrationserver.serviceuser.name not found
I assume these parameters are taken from Exchange profile but they are all correct indeed.
My SLD system is not part of the XI system, it is standalone J2EE engine...do you think it could be a problem to retrieve communication parameters ?

Updates in Notes don't get saved iOS 4.0.1

I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 4.0.1. Some of the time when I make updates in Notes the changes don't get saved while sometimes they do. I did a "restore" in iTunes this morning and magically the changes that had disappeared from Notes before were there again - as if it "remembered" the newest version. But as I continue to use notes - some of the changes stay in the notes - and some disappear. Anyone else have this happening? Any way to fix it?

My brother had this same issue. He would add text to a note and tap Done. He would go out to the list of notes and then reopen the note he just edited to find that the newly added text was not there.
We solved his problem. Hopefully this will help you, too.
We found that after updating his iPhone from OS 3.1.2 to iOS 4, the Notes setting in his Yahoo account in Mail, Contacts, Calendars was enabled. Also, notes were set so they were not stored locally on the phone any longer.
He never stored or synched his notes with his Yahoo account and did not want to begin to do so. In other words, he wanted to keep all his notes stored on his iPhone.
(Notes which existed before he updated the phone's operating system were stored on the phone. For any new notes created after the update, the iPhone was trying to store/sync with his Yahoo account. Apparently, since he did not set up his account to sync notes, the sync was unsuccessful and the iPhone rolled back his change to the notes, thus deleting the text he added. At least, this is my guess as to why this problem suddenly started and why it affected some notes but not others.)
He did not care about preserving the modification date of the problem notes that wouldn't keep their updates, so this is what he did. On his iPhone, he went to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. At the bottom of the screen in the Notes section, he changed the default note location from his Yahoo account to On My iPhone. He quit the Settings app.
In Notes, he tapped the Accounts button and selected his Yahoo account. This displayed nine notes -- the same notes that would not keep their updates. One at a time he copied each note's contents, switched accounts to On My iPhone, pasted the contents into a new note, saved it, and switched back to his Yahoo account to copy another note.
Once he was satisfied that all his content was in new notes and he could save changes in these notes, he switched to his Yahoo account and deleted the nine notes "stored" with that account.
Finally, he went back to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. He tapped his Yahoo account. Then he switched the Notes switch to Off so that notes would not be synched to his Yahoo account. Since doing this procedure, he has not had any problems with notes.
I hope this helps you to at least understand what's going on. The solution was easier to implement than to write out! And, I'm doing this from memory, since this was his iPhone not mine.

Cache update / Missing objects

Dear all!
Since two days we have following problem:
After activating changes in integration directory sometimes the changes are not transmitted to the Runtime Cache, sometimes they are. The Status is everytime "green". A manually (full and delta) refresh is not succesfull (means status is still green, no error message is displayed but the objects are still missing). I.e. i can see only five of eight configured communication channels.
I read the thread "Automtic Cache Update is not done !!
Any ideas?

Hi Klaus,
Which parts are showing up yellow.
For me it was the Integration Engine - adapter component.
In my case I had to reset the password for the SAP XI AF CPA cache component in the visual administrator.
Also make sure you haven't changed any of the standard users in the exchangeProfile. Because they didn't have enough authorisations I once changed them over there, and that also caused similar problems.

Last update was not completed

Hi,
One of my data load in process chain has the error status in red saying that the last update was not done.
So can I go ahead and make staus of both into red and delete them?
My question is after this load failed the are some loads from the same data source.
So if I delete the red status request from the cube will there be any loss of data.
will that pick the missed deltas.

I will suggest your clear steps.
Your process chain failed wiht error showing last update was not successfull,
So what you need to do is go to previous run of the process
BEFORE Deleting Make sure that you MAKE THE TECHNICAL STATUS TO RED( In Staus Tab of Process Monitor) MANUALLLY TO AVOID MISSING ANY DELTA
So what you need to do is go to previous run of the process chian and Delete the red request form the targets.
Be carefull that you are delted the correct RED Request only to confirm that you are delteting the right request see the First tab of the Process monitor which contains Requst No.
AND the Request No of the red request should match the request no in Request tab of the Targets.
Once Deleted Repeat the failed step in Previous run of IP then IT SHOULD COME AS ""REPEAT OF LAST DELTA"".
This shows it is taking the last delta again if it comes as ""DELTA"" then records are lost.
Once successfull with previous run come to present one and repeat the failed step.
Then it will work fine and No Delta records are lost.

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.
If extensions aren't causing the problem, see below.

There is a world of information in these forums if you use the search function near the top right of this page. Just type in NAS for example and you get many threads on the subject (marked with a green checkmark if it solved the question) another example would be Airport Exterme and sound system. Once you formulate your ideas better then specific questions can be addressed one at a time. You may find that a less expensive choice for a server might be a mac mini. Good luck with your project, ask more specific questions and update you systems profile.

Update to near cache value is not reflected in the other near cache

Hi,
I have a cluster of two weblogic servers running within them tangosol cache. I also have two seperate tangosol servers running on the same two servers.
When I make an update on the tangosol cache on one of the weblogic application, unfortunately the update is not picked up by the other weblogic application tangosol cache.
What do I need to do so that all updates are available in all the tangosol cache?
example below:
initial:
server1: weblogic tangosol near cache, key = "One", Value = null
server2: weblogic tangosol near cache, key = "One", Value = null
update on server1;
server1: weblogic tangosol near cache, key = "One", Value = "New York"
server2: weblogic tangosol near cache, key = "One", Value = null <- still null (?)
Why is the value on server2 not updated also?

Cache update not yet started In PI 7.1

Iu2019m using PI 7.1, facing the issue with Cache Update
Under Integration Builder -> Environment -> Cache Notifications
Central Adapter Engine, Mapping Runtime Cache (Central Adapter Engine) both are in gray color status (Cache update not yet started) .
Cache Connectivity Test in RWB
RWB -->Component Monitoring --> Cache Connectivity Test
For both Central Adapter Engine, Mapping Runtime Cache on Central Adapter Engine
Showing the warning
      "--Attempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory not yet started or still in process"_
Please help me out to update the Cache successfully

Must be serious because you have stated the problem 4 times now.
Here are a number of things that you can try and maybe one of them will help.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
You can also try going to the App Store, find an app that needs an update, tap on the app icon to bring up the description page, then tap on install that way, rather than using the Update option from the app updates screen.
And ... You can always install the updates in iTunes on your computer and then sync them to the iPad.

Caching service only works for OS X updates and not for Apps

Hello,
It seems that my OS X Server Caching service only works for Apple OS X Software Updates (in Mac App Store updates, when the icon of Mountain Lion appears). I see it in my logs in verbose mode when I download an Apple OS X Software Updates and not when I download an app in Mac Appstore.
So I'm sure my Caching service works but not for all downloads.
Why ? What's wrong with my server ?
I read in some blogs that Caching Server can work for iOS devices appstore too. I try to download some apps with my iphone but nothing happens in logs ...
Can somebody help me about the Caching Server ?

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

There is also a good chance that the .avi is simply corrupt as often hapens with this format. I have often had .avis that simply will not open, no matter what program or converter you try using. It's a bummer, but being an older format, it is becoming more common.

Try each of these in order until one works:
Open App Store and click on your Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept them, then do so.
Put the old ones into the Trash, temporarily. Open App Store and see if you can download them for free from their individual product pages. If asked to buy them, see the next option.
Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.
You will have to purchase them using your Apple ID.
