Automute microphone, when Jabber is controlling the Deskphone via CTI ?

Does anybody know a way on how to mute the Microphone of the Deskphone when controlling the Phone via CTI. I want to have a true human interaction with the hardphone when controlling it via CTI. Otherwise the Deskphone could be easily used as a remote Microphone.
Thanks a lot in advance
Björn

Hi Mohammed,
Thank you for your answer- I hoped for a more native way than implementing it on my own via JTAPI. I cannot imagine  that i am the only one feeling uncomfortable in letting all people remotecontrol their Phones/microphones in this CTI Way. If i am sitting in a neighbour Office- i could still call my own and remotely listen to the remote office. There should be a simple way to prevent users from doing this.
Does anyone feel the same- or has a hint for me on what to do ?
thanks again.

The add annotations field shows as not allowed in the security options. So how do I send this form back with the changes??

I think you you need to click 'save' first, then it is saved to acrobat, where it will prompt to send.

  • Selecting microphone when capturing video from the webcam

    Using Final Cut Pro X
I want to capture video from my webcam into Final Cut.  I have a USB microphone (Yeti) with which I want to record the audio.  I cannot find an option to select my input source for audio when capturing this footage.  Final Cut seems to default to my microphone on my webcam, which causes echoing and noise. I can select the USB mic when doing a voiceover, but when I capture video I cannot find an option to select my input.  I've made my USB mic my default device in Sys Prefs, but that doesn't work.  Any other ideas?
    Options
    1.  Figure out how to change the default input for webcam capture in Final Cut
    OR
    2.  Use another program.  I've also tried to do the same in both QuickTime and iMovie, and they both capture audio only from the webcam as well.
Everything I've found online talks about voiceover.  I don't want that.  I want to capture video with it.
    Suggestions are appreciated.  Thank you.

Thanks.  Don't know why I didn't see it.  That arrow is pretty small.
I do still have an issue that I cannot figure out.  I'm using the same mic for webcam recording (now in QT thanks to Luis) and in Final Cut for voiceovers.  Though I'm still on the same Mic the sound is not the same.  It's close, but the sound on the voiceover sounds cleaner and clearer.  I'm sitting in the same spot speaking the same way, but the sound quality difference is noticable.  Not sure why.
It seems that the difference is in how each software deals with it.
It may be that QT is sampling audio differently from FCP X somehow, or using a different audio codec or whatever.
Just guessing, I really have no concrete knowledge.
Oh, wait: there are a few things that I can notice, after trying a small example: the QT audio is AAC at 44.1 KHz,
the FCP X is AIFF at 48KHz. Compression and sample rate are different.

  • How can I use my TV as a display for FaceTime and the camera of my MacBook when connecting it to the TV via HDMI?

I can connect my MacBook to my TV via HDMI and when I FaceTime everything works normally except I would like the display for the MacBook to be turned off so I can see video only on my TV. Closing the lid is not an option since I am using the MacBook's camera to FaceTime. Is there any way to achieve this?

    Not that I could find.
The easiest workaround that I could find is a trimmed piece of Black Construction Paper taped over the Mac's display.
Alternatively, you could use an external Mac Compatible Web Cameras and then close the lid, but that is a higher cost option.

  • Jabber Cannot Control Desk Phone

I know, I know.  A well-worn topic.  But it's just not happening for me, and I'm new to Presence 9.1  This is a new installation. Also using CUCM 9.1 and Jabber 9.2.6.  I don't even know where the Jabber error logs are.
Anyway, when I try to get Jabber to control the desk phone, it doesn't work and when I look at the connection status, I get an error stating that there is a connection error to the CTI server.  That server is my CUCM Subscriber.  I am LDAP integrated, but we are pointing the a global catalog.  The CCMCIP service is running, the profile is created and the user is associated with it.  On the CUCM user, the phone is associated to the user, the line is set up as the primary extension, and the user is in the Standard CTI and Standard CCMUSER groups.  The user is configured to use IM and Presence, and the profile is selected.  On the phone, the user is set as the owner and the line appearance is set to the user.
The two things I've seen that might be issues are that we are using the following LDAP filter:
    (&(objectclass=user)(!(objectclass=Computer))(!(UserAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2))(|(ipphone=*)(samAccountName=adm-*)))
I didn't create this and I don't know enough about filters yet to know if this is good.
Secondly, in my past experience, the configurations for the CTI service (i.e. "cti_1.1.1.1_cti_tcp_host_synced_000" - not the real IP) have always been created automatically, but they had to be created manally for this install.  I don't know if that's a function of 9.1 or if there's an integration issue.

    Hey Refran,
I had the same issue when doing a LAB installation.
My problem was, that I sometimes used DNS names and sometimes IP Addresses.
After I changed everything to IP Adresses, Jabber was able to connect to the CTI Server.
How did you configure your Servers of CUCM (System--> Server) and the Integration of CUPS and CUCM?
    Here a log of Jabber:
    REGISTER sip:172.20.10.56 SIP/2.0

  • Controlling the swf timeline (swf is in captivate)

i am making a swf (in Flash) that I want to be sequencial. in other words i have a (for example) expanding and shrinking sphere in frame one. then in frame two i have an arrow that will point at the sphere. then in frame three I have a 'hi' blinking. I want it to go 'play frame one' then have some audio over top, then when it plays the next audio i want it to go to frame two. when that audio is over i want it to go to frame three and play more audio.
    how do i do this?
do I control the frames via captivate, or do i control the captivate via the swf?

I would think that you could create individual swf's and bring each one into your timeline.  I did not see that the student was interacting at all, so you could tie audio to the objects (object audio) as they are introduced to the stage.
    My first thought.

  • How do I control the sampling rate of a PCI-6602 counter

    Labview version: 7.1
    Processor: Pentium 4 1.8 GHz
    Hello All,
I have two avalanche photo diodes connected to two counter entrances on a 6602 (ctr 0 and ctr 1).
As can be seen in the attached VI, I'm generating a signal on ctr2 and using that as an external clock for the counters.
My objective is to accurately read the counter values at a rate of ~100KHz (i.e. 0.01 ms between measurements) and to be able to control the rate via the front panel. This should be possible (80MHz timebase), however when I run the program it is only able to actually sample at ~5 ms intervals. Also I'm encountering error 200141 even though I set the rate in the counter to 1M, which should buffer enough.
What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks a lot,

    Hello Aadam,
After looking at your code, I would not use the DAQ assistants to implement this. The DAQ assistant are best to be used for simple acquistion and since you are looking to use more lower level properties of you card, I would suggest to move to use the lower level VIs. It will be easier to understand where the problem is occurring at and will run better than using the DAQ assistant.
I have done some initial research for you to implement this design. I have described each of them below and how they will assist you.
The first example I have found is the Change Counter Output Frequency While the Task is Running. In this example, it will show you how to change the frequency and duty cycle of a counter output frequency task. One thing to remember about these counters are that the frequency will not change until the period has finished. For example, if you changed the frequency in the middle of a period of frequency of 1 Hz, it has to complete the 1Hz period before changing it to the next frequency.
The next example I would investgate is in the NI Example Finder called Correlated Dig Write With Counter.vi. The NI Example Finder can be found in Help » Find Examples... This VI will explain how to use the counter as a clock for another task. You will need to combine the concepts of the first example with this to make sure that you can vary the sample clock.
Finally, in the NI Example Finder, there is an example how to count digital events with an external clock called Count Digital Events-Buffered-Continuous-Ext Clk.vi. With this example, I first suggest to add the counter task and make sure you can get the external clock to work. After this, I would then implement changing clock.

  • Is it possible to control the cursor of a XY-graph via Keyboard and read the y value of the curser x-position?

I have following problem when I control the cursor via an attribute note, it is neccersary to free the cursor, but then it is not possible to read the y-Value of the cursor position. I want to control the cursor via keyboard and buttons, but with the funtionality of attribute setting "cursor fixed to plot".

You know the X position so just read the Y value by reading it straight from the Y array instead of from a property node...
Alternatively unlock the cursor if the position control has changed...and lock it again if it is constant for n milliseconds; to produce the Y value from the Y property.

  • Control a VFD via cDAQ 9178

    Hi!
I want to control a Variable frequency driver through the cDAQ-9178.
I got an analog input module NI 9201,analog output module NI 9263 and digital output module NI 9472.
I have never connected analog modules and digital modules together and was wondering if anyone could help me. How do you connect a my VFD to these inputs and outputs?
I have attached the connection diagram for my VFD
I would like to add a knob to control the frequency via labview so i can increase/decrease the speed and also turn it ON/Off.
I know this is possible solution, but I don't really know how to wire it up to my VFD.
If I succeed with the wiring to my modules, could I then use DAQ- assistant in labview to wire a knob to it to change the speed for an example, or is there another way to do it?
    Best Regards - Maurlind!

    Hi!
Could you take a look at my wiring, (se attached picture). I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly before I'm plugging in and starts messing around with LabView.
I don't know where to put T3 +10v reference output.
Should I connect B3 instead of B2 Vsup, (Voltage supply).  I don't know what "NC" stands for or what it does on the modules NI 9263 and NI 9201
As far as I have understood, I can control the frequency from the VFD by making a DAQ assistant function via the analog outputs AO0 and AO1.
What does B1 do? It is Analog output (motor speed), if wired to AI0 can i monitor the speed then, like in a graph?
Can I connect as i have done with T1 (0volt, ground) to the COM ports, from the same ground? (In reality just put a lot of cables in T1 and the connect to all of the corresponding COM ports?
With the analog output I control the motors frequecny, the speed. With Analog input I can get the motor speed information. With the digital output I can control the motor direction, start stop, enable the VFD and so on. This i have got right I think.
Since I have never done this before I just want to be sure I'm doing this right, or if I have to change something.
    Best Regards Maurlind!

  • Playing off the Timeline via firewire( XdCam pal) Monitoring Issues

    Hey,
I have just switched to FCP and have found that when recording the from the FCP timeline manually via firewire into a Sony XDCam PDW530 I experience 4:3 flashes in the Camera monitor and viewfinder as the timeline plays down Video Transitions. All effects have been rendered (Blue line above transition)
However the Camera appears to record correctly to disc. I played the recorded material from the camera via an XD deck into a wide screen monitor and all appears fine the 4:3 flashes are not present on transitions. play the disc back in the camera and the 4:3 flashes for the duration of the Video Transitions return????
when playing out of the Camera via SDI and Analogue Composite outputs into a wide screen monitor all appears ok as well.
It's a little odd that you cannot monitor the output correctly on the XDcam. If i change the pull down settings from 2323 to 2332 it monitors the transitions correctly but the video aspect is somewhere between 4:3 and 16:9.
Shoot in 16:9 Capture DV Pal, Edit DV Pal, Playback Output Apple FireWire Pal (720 x 576)
    Any ideas????

    Thanks Shane,
We have been down the PRINT TO VIDEO road with the same playback issues in the XD Camera's LCD screen. We still see the 4:3 transition on the 16:9 image when playing off the timeline / playing back the recorded media in the camera and viewing on cameras screen .
I guess this is only a monitor issue. If you don't include any video effects it plays down 16:9 perfectly in the cameras monitor
What is recorded onto the disc is fine.
Also my understanding is the what's coming off the timeline is a DV stream so not sure how the GOP format comes into play. Recording onto a XD Cam off the timeline thru other edit programmes has never been an issue. I have come from Avid Pinnacle and the monitoring of transitions was never an issue when streaming back to the xdcam.
    Thanks

  • XP doesn't recognize the K1 via USB cable

Lenovo replaced my previous K1. When I got the new one, I updated to 1017-US.. When I plugged in the K1 via the cable to the XP desktop, I got no response from XP. The device manager shows "Lenovo ADB devices" BUT no "Portable Devices". I have tried to have Windows XP find a "new" device. .  NOTHING. . .
I have the check mark in USB Debugging (I have tried it without the check mark.) . I have tried all of my USB connections. NOTHING. .I can connect to the Desktop via Wi-Fi to move files back and forth.
LeTools and Lenovo Mobile drivers are installed on PC.

Have you tried to uninstall "Lenovo ADB devices" to see if it would reinstall correctly? I would try that if you have not already.
