Autorun html

I am trying to use the autorun to open an html file but it
won't work. I've used this with the .exe file but this is the first
time I've tried with an html. Does it only work with an .exe file?
Thanks for the help.

This link will probably help you :)

    Hello! I got a fresh new dell and started up: 45 processes running! OK now I started deinstalling everything until there are only 25 processes ruinning after startup. But still there is "creativelicensing.exe" and "cl0000.something" running at startup. I may kick them and everything is fine. But I'd like them to never startup again. Does anybody know how to do that?
    I've already deactivated "Creative Labs Licensing Service" in msconfig. I threw it out of the registry, and even the "Services"-dialog. It keeps coming every startup :[
    I know the creative labs software that was installed like that player and media-center stuff could have used this service but its all deinstalled. The only thing left is the soundcard driver itself. But everything works well without the .exe. Does the driver initialize the "creativelicensing.exe"?

  • X-FI SOUNDC

    I also had the same problem with the cracking and squealing. This was my fix. Disable the CTHELPER FILES. To do this go to the program files and locate both files and simply rename them (I just put an X in front of the name. Now locate the files DLLML, rename both of them. No more problems on my system!
    It seems that all the problems are being caused by these four files. If this doesn't work for you just go back and rename the files to their old names.

    EDIT: I only find the CTHELPER.exe in my win folder. I dont find the other ones.
    Don't mess around with the files themselves, just disable them being loaded.
    Use [url="http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/autoruns.html">Autoruns[/url] from SysInternals to disable them - it's probably the most convenient way.

  • Sound Blaster Crashes, error screen says win32 crashed, p1 svch

    My computers sound dies after about 20 min or when i load a program with sound (games that go full screen mode,media player, etc) it crashes all together. I've checked devise management, the sound cards are fine or it just uninstalled. I check the sound/audio setup file and there is no sound card to check, everything is just dulled out. I used my CD but it says soundblaster is not installed and cant install.
    I've defragmented, error checked, virus checked, spy sweeped and even formatted and it still doesn't work. Every time it crashes it says win32 has encountered an error and has to shut down. i look in details and it says p svchost.exe.
    I've tried to shut it down but there are 8 of them and most of them i cant delete. even shuts down the computer if i delete it. I've done msconfig but svchost isn't in there.
    Can anyone help?

  • Help needed in creating an autorun CDR

    I want to create a CD that will play in both a PC and a MAC, that is basically an offline copy of a website I have built and will automatically open the index.html page of this website when loaded into either a PC or a MAC.
    I have created an autorun feature that works in a PC but don't seem to be able to do the same for the MAC.
    I gather (from reading this discussion board) that autorun was disabled by the Apple Engineers in a past OS upgrade... Is there any sort of way I can do this?
    (I have Toast that will allow me to burn a CD that can be read by both a PC and a MAC).
    Any help greatly appreciated...
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I dont know the solution for this, but heres a work arround
    //create new label some where else in the excel sheet as shown below
    Label lblcmbdata;
    for(int i=0; i<1000; i++)
                 lblcmbdata = new Label(75, i, (i+1)+" satish", format);
                 sheet1.addCell(lblcmbdata);
    }//set the validation range as shown below
    writableCellFeature.setDataValidationRange(75,0,75,1000);
    Label cmb = null;
    cmb = new Label(0, 1, "Select",format);
    cmb.setCellFeatures(writableCellFeature);
    sheet.addCell(cmb);this will create a combo list with 1000 values
    also you can keep the data to be populated in the different sheet in same workbook by creating a named range as below
    workbook.addNameArea("cmbdata", sheet1, 0, 0, 0, 1000);
    // then fill the data in sheet1
    Label lblcmbdata;
    for(int i=0; i<1000; i++)
                    lblcmbdata = new Label(0, i, (i+1)+" satish", format);
                    sheet1.addCell(lblcmbdata);
    //set the validation named range as below
    writableCellFeature.setDataValidationRange("cmbdata");
    Label cmb = null;
    cmb = new Label(0, 1, "Select",format);
    cmb.setCellFeatures(writableCellFeature);
    sheet.addCell(cmb);Thanks and Regards

  • GetURL works on exe but not html

    Hi -
    I published my project out as a Mac Projector, PC exe, and
    html and burned it onto a CD. I didn’t want to use autorun so
    I instructed the PC user to launch either the exe or html. Every
    thing worked fine except the btn that opens a browser and web page
    with a getURL command.
    When the user viewed the project using the exe, the btn with
    getURL worked. When the user viewed using the html, the same btn
    did not work...no browser, no webpage. On the Mac side the btn
    worked when viewed on the Projector or html.
    What caused this broken link on the PC side and how can I fix
    it?
    TIA your input,

    How do I create an Lightroom HTML Gallery and preserve the - in the file name?
    The hyphen (-) is more search engine friendly, so I label all my photos using hyphens (-) to separate the keywords in the file name
    Here's a sample file name - it's for the "Guess Where Berkeley" flickr site
    guess-where-berkeley-serkes-xx-s-curve.jpg
    I created a Lightroom HTML Gallery and posted it to the following link.
    http://www.berkeleyhomes.com/tests/lightroom/lightroom-test-1/
    Though it looksl like the HML gallery shows the original file name in the web page, it looks like Adobe Lightroom modified each photo's file name by changing the - (hyphen) to an underscore (_)

    InDesign's interactive PDF support is a small subset of what you can do in Acrobat Profesional.
    I think you probably want to create a button (or change an existing button) in Acrobat Pro that causes Acrobat to close the document -- that should be analagous to "exitting the CD." I assume your autorun file is opening the PDF in Adobe Reader? You have not included it and are not specific, so it is tough to say.
    I believe in Acrobat Javascript you can close the document with this.closeDoc(). You'll probaly need to ask on the Acrobat forums (possiby Acrobat Scripting) for more detail.

  • Bridge CS4 Flash Gallery Autorun

  • Autorun for CDs run on both Mac and MS operating systems?

    Hello,
    I have built a website that runs from CD-ROM. In the root directory of the site it contains three extra files which enable the disc, when it is inserted into the CD drive, to fire up the web browser (on my computer this is Internet Explorer 6), open the HTML home page of the CD website, and change the CD drive's icon to an icon of my choice. To do this, I use a self-executable file called "runner". All of this works OK on any Microsoft Windows platform, but not on any Mac OS.
    The three files are:
    autorun.inf
    runner.exe
    An icon file (say, "myicon.ico")
    (The icon file isn't compulsory - it can be left out if not required.)
    The "autorun.inf" file can be opened in Notepad, and the text contents changed and saved to account for the name of the HTML web page that needs to be opened first in the web browser (in this case, "index.htm"). The text in "autorun.inf" therefore looks like this, containing three lines of text:
    [autorun]
    open=runner index.htm
    icon=myicon.ico
    "Index.htm", in the above case, is in the same directory as "runner.exe" (i.e. the root directory of the CD drive).
    Is there anything I can do, perhaps with the addition of some sort of Mac-compliant file, so that the CD will self-start in the way described above, regardless of whether it is run in Windows or a Mac OS?
    Thanks,
    RMS-link

    You can't get a CD to autorun on a Mac in the same way you can on a PC.
    What you can do is to get the CD to automatically open a disc window. So that users can then just double click and open the index file.
    You can modify the auto window size and look quite easily as well.
    In order to do this you will need however to create a hybrid disk, Toast can do this quite easily.

  • Autorun CD-ROM with flash content on website

    I have two websites with Flash content that I need to put on
    a CD-ROM for a presentation on a computer with spotty internet.
    I've created the autorun part fine, but here's my issue. When the
    html page pulls up in a browser and the link to the Flash content
    is clicked, I get a security warning that " Adobe Flash Player has
    stopped a potentially unsafe operation." Everything is on the CD -
    nothing should be trying to access the internet - and I'm looking
    for a way to override this security warning without having to
    rebuild the flash files. So far, most of the info I've found deals
    with changing something on the user's computer, but is there a fix
    that can reside on the CD (so the user doesn't have to do anything,
    or ever see the warning?)
    Thanks!

    The basics of what you are asking is pretty easy to do in
    Director. To
    make a menu, just import your graphics including buttons.
    Create a
    frame label on the timeline for each video. On each button,
    add the
    behaviour named 'Jump to Marker Button' (it is in the Library
    under
    Behaviours, Controls). Pick the appropriate label for each
    button in
    the resulting popup. Then import your video and place one on
    each
    frame. Put the 'Go Loop' behaviour on each of these frames
    (in the
    frame channel). That behaviour is in the Library under
    Behaviours,
    Navigation.
    Depending upon how your movies are setup, the rest will be
    different
    (i.e. are the Quicktime, avi, wmv, RealVideo, etc?). But the
    Library
    has behaviours for a lot of them, and building custom scripts
    is pretty
    easy as well if you can put forth the effort to learn Lingo.
    It is
    actually among the easiest to learn languages in my opinion.

  • Captivate5 Autorun opens Adobe Flash download page

    I have developed an education package on Captivate5.
    After publishing and choosing the settings "autorun CD & HTML", I cannot play the CD on my own computer.
    When inserted into  my computer, I briefly see the title of the education on the browser tab, then the Adobe Flash download page appears. I cannot access my presentation and I already have Flash installed. My publish settings are set to Adobe Flash 9, and I am being prompted to download 10.3.
    The autorun works fine on 2 of my colleagues computers.
    Any suggestions? Is this likely to occur for any of our users?

    Have you checked whether or not the publish location has been added to your own PC's Flash Global Security as a trusted location?
    Your issue might also be security related.

  • Autorun from CD

    Hi all,
    Thanks in advance for your help with this one. I know it is
    quite an elementary problem but I just plain don't know the
    answers.
    I need to create a website that will be stored / run from a
    CD rather than online and will be used to browse the contents of
    the CD. My queries are:
    1) How do I set the webpage to autoload by default so that
    after the CD is inserted into the drive, the user is greeted by the
    webpage rather than by the usual Windows' window? I assume it is a
    script of some kind. Can anyone advise?
    2) I've seen examples on CD/DVDs that autorun in a window
    that doesn't look like a browser window because all the usual
    browser menus at the top are omitted. (Although, I assume that it
    is a browser window). Can anyone advise how that is done?
    3) Are there likely to be problems with broken hyperlinks on
    the CD? I assume I can create a local site directory and then
    seamlessly transfer it to CD without compromising hyperlink
    integrity. Is that right or should I expect problems with
    hyperlinks / how do I resolve them if so?
    Thanks again for your help with that.
    D.

    Google AutoRun Pro.
    It consists of an .exe file and .inf file -- both of which
    you add to the
    DVD or CD at burn. When disk is inserted, autorun.exe
    launches and opens
    the page or application and file you specified in the .inf
    file.

    I want to create a cd on my mac that autolaunches an .html-page after inserting into a pc or a mac. Is that possible?

    Solving this requirement on a modern Windows system is going to be problematic too, as the autorun mechanisms are increasingly being locked down over there, if not by the end-user or the system installer, then by the usual anti-malware tools that are installed.
    Given this is one of the most vulnerable populations here in terms of operational security, you'll probably want to target online distribution, or to distribute a signed application that can be installed on the target (akin to a managed system) and that then accesses your data on external storage.  All that app might do is access the disk, verify that the contents of the device are trusted and valid, and launch the browser.
    I'd likely target online distribution or pre-loaded distributions and iOS, as that's where all of the older folks I'm dealing with are headed, too.  If not a native app, then maybe a web-app here, and download the contents into the HTML5 local storage.
