Autosaved has been added to my Excel file name....and i can't save anything new in it......

i was working on a file of excel and light turned off...so later when i turned on my computer and opened that file again.... ......autosaved...has been added to its name. and its making me very problem ....i can not save anything in it now....it hangs
when i save something in it.......what could i do .....?....Thanks in advance

iphoto has been importing photos for over n hour and I can't get it to stop. Can't get out of iphoto and can't shut down computer.
iPhoto works best when the source (Pictures folder) is on a different disk drive than the iPhoto Library is on.
And you need to have enough free disk space to work with, the faster the better.
Also, do not keep your media folders and those in your home folder on the same drive as the system, also another bottleneck.
Until or unless you have everything on 1400MB/sec SSD PCIe controller, you want
System boot drive
Media and data folders and such
scratch
backup
etc
I put iPhoto on an SSD off an SSD PCIe Sonnet Tempo card
If you stop- it, you will need to trash the Library it was creating.
Reading and writing to/from the same hard drive will be slow.
You don't mention which Mac, or how large you are trying to import etc

Take a look in Activity Monitor. See what the % being used for iPhoto, how many pageouts, how much free space on the various disk drives, and how much RAM do you have installed?

the last update on my apple tv has been going on for like a week and i can't stop it even if i unplug it. it shows a pic of the tv connecting to iTunes, what do i do?
If ATV is unplugged and you are still seeing an image that is not coming from ATV.
If the update failed then you will need to connect ATV to a computer with iTunes via a USB cable and restore the software from iTunes. -
Firefox seems to be adding " .part " to the file names of files I downoad. Here's an example:
YuT9iNv8.pdf.part
I cannot open this file because it can't find an application.
If I back out the .part, I get a box asking if I want to change the extension to .pdf I check yes, and everything works fine. It doesn't happen with other browsers (Safai).I get the error message saying the file could not be downloaded due because there is no enough disk space.
How large is your HD and how much space do you have left? -
Why can I no longer find my iphotos? Updated from 10.6 to 10.8.2 recently... The iphoto logo in my dock has been replaced with a transparent, grey, question mark... why? How do I restore my iphotos? Have you verified that the iPhoto applications is not in the Applications folder or somewhere else on the hard drive?
To do so download and use Find Any File to search for "iPhoto.app" because FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't. If the application is somewhere else on the HD FAF will find it. However, I doubt that it will be there but it's worth a search.

I have a document that has been "uploading" to icloud from my iPad for a few days and I can not access it from any of my apple devices including my iMac. Anyone else having this problem?

I want to remove BAIDU from my Safari browser search engine choices. I read to go to "applications" select "toolbars" and select "uninstall Baidu" . The problem is "toolbars" is not on my list of "applications". How do I remove Baidu? I don't know how it got there. My niece sent me an email partially in Chinese and perhaps it was installed when I opened it, Thanks for any help.
There is amazingly little on the web about this unwanted software regarding Safari. Also just noticed I repeated the same nonsense removal instructions you found. Sorry for being a parrot.
Couple of things to try.
1) Close Safari. Open the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ folder. Press Command+2 to change it to List view, then click Date Modified to sort them by time/date. Newest date should be at the top. If there's anything there with a date of just the past of couple of days, move it to the desktop. Launch Safari. Is it gone?
2) There are actually three folders named Internet Plug-Ins. Check the ones in the System folder, and in your user account Library folder. Again, looking for anything added just recently.
I saw the same page Linc posted to, but it didn't dawn on me at the time what the relation may be. Open the System Preferences and click on the Language & Region icon. If you see any Asian languages in the list as shown below. Highlight it and press the minus button to remove it. -

The issue that I am having is that when I view a Visio file hosted on SharePoint. The file was created in Visio 2007 and when it is opened by Visio 2007 and Visio Viewer in SharePoint. The file name field object and date
modified object show the information. The issue is when the file is opened by a device that has Visio 2010 the information does not show. Is there something that I can do for these users to have it show correctly.Hi，
Which way did you open the Visio 2007 file in SharePoint？Opened it in the browser or downloaded it to open？ I had test in my environment. Insert a text box>Add a data/time field, it worked fine both in Visio 2007, 2010.
Thus, let‘s do some test to narrow down the issue’s reason.
1.Download the Visio 2007 file and open it with Visio 2010.
If it worked fine, the issue seems more related to Visio object and sharePoint connection.
If it does not display the information in Visio 2010 by a device client, the issue was more related to Visio 2010 client.
2.Create a new drawing included file name and Date
field in Visio 2010.
If the new drawing displays correct, the issue is more related the original, please try to repair the file or re-create the file name and Date filed.
If the new drawing still displays incorrect, please try to start Visio 2010 in safemode, some third-party add-ins my be casued the issue.
If the issue still exists, try to repair Visio 2010.

Hi guys..
I've spent the last 3 hours wrestling with this.
I'm using flexbuilder 4.6 on pc, with air 3.1.
I'm using my mac to do the installation on the device.
I used to be able to deploy the ipa files output by flashbuilder 4.6 to my ipad, and iphone. I cannot anymore. I don't know if it's because of ios 5, or lion, or what..
I could never install the ipas in windows,
I always used the iphone configuration utility in os x to install; but now I get "A signed resource has been added, modified, or deleted." every time I try.
Same thing happens in xcode organizer.
If I try via itunes it just creates the app icon on my ipad in loading state and never finishes.
Things I've done:
I've created entirely new provisioning profiles and app ids,
I've verified that the profiles are indeed valid: I did this by changing app identifiers for some of my cocoa/xcode projects),
I've turned on/off devices/computers etc.
I can't tell you how utterly frustrating a night it has been, especially seeing as the turn around time to verify in xcode for cocoa apps is about 20 seconds, but the workflow with air is like 5 mintues a time. and each time ends with no hint whatsoever as to what is wrong.
Is there anyone else out there who's had this and worked around it - or someone who can put me out of my misery.

1. Can you confirm that this is iOS 5 specific? (I mean do you see app being installed on iOS 4.X but not on iOS 5?)
2. Can you tell us what all things are you packaging along with App Descriptor and App SWF?(And overall size of assets?)
3. your mobileprovision file is not modified. If you havent done this already, you can try by downloading the provision again from store. -

It's a royal ache going through each one, clicking to see if it will play, getting a 'cannot locate the file' message, delete, etc etc.
Showing duplicates just shows I have a lot to tidy up.
<Edited By Host>Apple's official advice on duplicates is here... HT2905: How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.
