[AUTOSCALE FAILED] - Autoscale task failed for [domain] due to no metrics available

Hi,
AutoScale on my cloud service is not working due to no monitoring metrics avaiable.
I set the AutoScale scale by CPU metric.
For the Monitoring, I use Minimal Monitoring.
and from the Monitoring tab there's one metric of CPU percentage.
The strange things, I can see the graph if 24hours but the graph only reach 5 hours behind.
so.. If I change the monitoring to hourly, the monitoring graph display nothing.
I have tried to delete the autocale, delete the metrics and recreate them.
Please advise.

Hi,
From my experience, this may be azure server issue. It may be fixed some time later. You can try it again now to see if it works. You also can try to stop the cloud service then restart again (click cloud service>> click dashboard >> click restart).
Hope this helps. if this didn't give you help, please feel free to let me know.

  • Trying to use Variables with the Unknown Computer collection to prompt Task Sequence for Domain, Join Account, Join Password, and Join Location.

    I want to use SCCM 2012 R2 and OSD, to boot a bare metal machine, install and OS, and bind it to Active Directory. The catch is that I want the deployment process in SCCM to prompt for the following pieces of information, and then use that information to
    bind the computer to Active Directory (W/O using MDT) instead of supply the data in the task sequence.
    Computer Name
    Domain
    Domain OU
    Domain Join Account
    I am approaching this in a similar fashion as stated in this blog.
    http://osdblog.com/2013/06/26/add-a-prompt-for-a-computer-name-in-your-sccm-deployment/
    I have added the following collection variables to the unknown computers collection:
    When I launch the task sequence, I am prompted as I would expect. I input the desired information, the deployment competes, but it does not bind to the domain.  Here is what my TS looks like. I intentally disabbled  the apply Network Settings step
    because it forces you to enter specific information if it enabled. I don't want to that, thus why I am trying to use the variables.
    My SMSTS log does not have a whole lot of meaningfull data, but I can post it if someone wants to see it. The only possible thing I could think of would be drivers, their are some driver errors in the log. However, if I turn on the Apply Networking setting
    process in the task sequence and turn off the variables, the machines bind fine. With that in mind, I would not think my problem would be driver related. Anyone out there have expertise in using a process like this, that could assist?
    --Tony

    Awesome! Thanks. One more thing, how should I supply the OSDJoinPassword variable? Should I just enter %OSDJoinPassword%
    for Password and Confirm Password? I can not tell if it will actually read it as a variable or try to use "%OSDJoinPassword%" for
    the actual password.

  • Event ID 1008 The Open Procedure for service "BITS" in DLL "C:\Windows\System32\bitsperf.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code.

    I keep getting the above error on all my SQL 2012 deployments (standard and enterprise) on all Windows Server 2012 Standard machines. I have already tried the following commands in administrator mode to resolve without success:
    lodctr bitsperf.dll
    lodctr /R
    Any other suggestions?

    Hi Diane Sithoo,
    You post the same question 2 times. Please avoid this practice on Forum, I
    have merged the same thread. Thanks for your understanding.
    According to your description, we need to verify when the error occurs, and if when the error happen, your SQL Server does not work, right ? If yes, we need to you help us to collect the detailed error log in SQL Server management Studio (SSMS). Please refer
    to the following steps for collecting the error log.
    In SSMS, expand Management, and SQL Server Logs, then
    right-click a log and click View SQL Server Log.
    If the SQL Server can run well, there are some error on Windows Server service, I recommend you post the question on the Windows Server General Forum(http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/home?forum=winservergen
    ) , It is appropriate and more experts will assist you.
    In addition, about Event ID 1008, you may need to reload the
     performance library when it is not properly initialized during installation. Then you can use Windows Reliability and Performance Monitor to verify that performance counters are properly collected and displayed in a Performance Monitor graph. For
    more information, you can review the following article.

  • Windows 2012 Verification of prerequisites for Domain Controller promotion failed

    Windows 2012 Verification of prerequisites for Domain Controller promotion failed and gave the below error(In computer management local group and user option is not there as suggested by a solution!)
    "Verification of prerequisites for Domain Controller promotion failed. The local Administrator account becomes the domain Administrator account when you create a new domain. The new domain cannot be created because the local Administrator account password
    does not meet requirements.
    Currently, the local Administrator password is blank, which might lead to security issues. We recommend that you press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, use the net user command-line tool, or use Local Users and Groups to set a strong password for the local Administrator
    account before you create the new domain."

    OK, the reason you see this error is because when you set up and configured your Windows R2 environment you may have logged into the OS with an account other than Administrator. So, if you created your log in account named Bob, this is throwing off the Server.
    So, hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete, and look who you are logged in as, and then change the account you are logging in as and use the local Administrator account. What you may find is that the default Admin account password has not been set.
    Check that out and see if that is what you are experiencing.
    Best wishes

  • Retrying a particular failed Process Task for all the OIM Users

    Hi,
    We are using OIM 11.1.1. On a particular day one of the systems was unavailable hence all the process tasks for that system failed for a number of users. Is there any way of viewing all the failed process task and retrying them together, there are over 3000 users and it is not possible to go through them one by one.
    Any method either through the console or doing it programatically would be very helpful.
    Thanks in advance.
    UZ

    The OTI table has all the rejected task information. You can use it to link to user and resource instances through the OIU table as well.
    You can then take the SCH_KEY and then use code like this to process them:
    public void completeTask(){
    long[] task = new long[] {123123,3242134,23432,43534,34656,456456};
    int counter = 0;
    for (long key:task){
    try {
    counter++;
    provIntf.retryTask(key);
    System.out.println(counter + "|" + task.length);
    } catch (Exception e) {

  • Oracle BI Office Add-In for Excel (Failed to insert Oracle BI view due to )

    Dear all,
    I receive the following error message when I change the Prompts in Oracle BI Excel Add-In:
    Failed to insert Oracle BI view due to processing query error.
    I think it has something to do with the performance of the development database.
    Is there a configuration file and a parameter the eliminate this error message?
    Regards,
    Stefan

    I've seen this error occur when the Flash ActiveX control is not installed on the machine that is viewing the Excel content because the charts views use Flash. You can fix this by downloading the Shockwave Flash control from www.adobe.com

  • GPP Scheduled Task Fails in Group Policy Modeling depending on DC

    We have multiple domain controllers running at a 2003 functional level.
    We have 1 DC running Server 2003 x86 SP2 and the rest run Server 2008 (maybe R2)
    I created a GPO that includes a Scheduled Task Group Policy Preference under Computer Configuration.
    In order to test this I used Group Policy Modeling in the GPMC on a 2008 R2 Machine where I am editing Group Policy.
    If I run the modeling (perform the simulation on the 2003 DC it fails. (Note I am modeling the GPO for a different computer, not the 2003 SP2 DC, I am running the modeling for a Workstation)
    Information from the Component Status on the Summary Tab of the Modeling Report
    Component Name Status
    Group Policy Infrastructure Success
    EFS recovery Success (no data)
    Group Policy Scheduled Tasks Failed
    Group Policy Scheduled Tasks failed due to the error listed below and failed to log resultant set of policy information.
    Additional information may have been logged. Review the application event log on the domain controller on which the simulation was run for events between 2/28/2014 10:07:36 AM and 2/28/2014 10:07:36 AM.
    Registry Success
    Security Success
    Info on the Settings Tab of the Modeling Report below.
    An error has occurred while collecting data for Scheduled Tasks.
    The following errors were encountered:
    An unknown error occurred while data was gathered for this extension. Details: Invalid class
    If I run the modeling using a 2008 DC to perform the simulation it works fine.
    Per the instructions on the Summary Tab regarding the scheduled task failure I look at the event log on the 2003 domain controller and this is what i find.
    The event I get on the 2003 DC is 8196 and I will place the details below.
    Event Type:   Error
    Event Source:           Group Policy Scheduled Tasks
    Event Category:        Disk
    Event ID:       8196
    Date:              2/27/2014
    Time:             4:48:47 PM
    User:              NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
    Computer:     <computername>
    Description:
    The client-side extension caught the unhandled exception '0xC0000005' inside: 'threadEntry : client main' See trace file for more details. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
    So, should I be concerned that this is failing on the 2003 DC, does this mean that if my workstations authenticate to my 2003 DC that the preference will not process?
    I was reading that in 2003 client side extensions were not there and can be installed, would this make the modeling succeed?
    How do I get verified, I tried to post screenshots, but I could not. :(

    Hi Jonathan,
    As you have found the reason, I want to confirm whether the issue has been fixed.
    In fact, for Windows Server 2003 to apply or process Group Policy Preferences settings, we must install client-side extensions of GPP for Windows Server 2003.
    Although this is not related to this case, for your information, if our clients are Windows XP or Windows Vista, to use GPP, we must install client-side extensions for these
    workstations respectively.
    Regarding GPP, the following article can be referred to for more information.

  • DAC ETL tasks failing with Error Code

    Here is a copy of just 1 of the tasks that fail. I did search for this and found reference to increasing DB Processes to 500 but that had no effect.
    I have tried to reduce the number of Maximum Sessions in Setup to but it had no effect.
    Some of the tasks completed. The remaining stay as Failed even after re-running ETL.

  • Failure to install SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU8/9 with a "Failed to retrieve data for this request." error

    Hi all,
    Has anyone come across SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU8/9 failing to install with a “Failed to retrieve data for this request.” error.
    The error is too generic for a useful search on web, for me at least anyway.
    Had no problems patching a whole bunch of other servers in the same environment.
    I’m no good at reading these error logs. For some reason the primary replica is referenced in the detailed log???
    The CU8/9 patch has been run by both Domain Admins and local Admin with no luck.
    We are trying to patch a secondary failover replica. (SharePoint 2013 is installed on this server.)
    This is from the summary log:

    Hello SQL Ranger,
    Thanks for posting the detailed log. I dont have exact solution for this but I can give you some hint what could be reason patch has failed below message points to fact that there is some issue with account which is used to install CU patch.Have alook at
    below log.It says that when patch was trying to get details from other node in cluster it was not able to.

    IMO I strongly feel it is issue with the account. Microsoft has also documented about this for SQL Server 2008 .Have a look at following links
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-US;2000257
    Please also assign privilege mentioned in below link

    Hope this helps

  • How do you complete or re-attempt failed provisioning tasks

    Hi All,
    If a modify operation has been perfomed, and subsequent provisioning tasks failed, is there a way to get IdM to go back and attempt to complete the failed task and remaining tasks.
    For example, when the MX_VALIDTO attribute changes we call an event task to determine if MX_DISABLED should be set or not. This task is a generic pass which executes some logic which evaluates other attributes. This step failed because we caused an error to be raised due to an unexpected value in one of those other attributes.
    We have now modified the logic in the script and want to 're-provision' the failed task without triggering a new change on the identity.
    I know about the uRetryPrivilegeAdd and uRetryPrivilegeRemove internal functions, but it seems as if these only deal with cases where privilege assignment had failed. Is there something similar that will reconcile and clean up failed task heirarchies where it is just attribute / entry modifications rather than privilege assignments.
    Regards
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
    Hope all is going well with your project, the two bits of code you need for this are:
    Find all the failed privileges for an Identity
    var sql = "SELECT MSKEY,aValue,provstatus FROM MXPV_Priv_AddStatus WHERE (MSKEY = " +V_MSKEY +" and (ProvStatus = 1001 or ProvStatus = 1101))";
    sqlresult = uSelect(sql);
    This will give you a load of pairs of failed MSKEY - identity and aValue - privilege, which you need to split into strings via an array and then into values, and you can then retry using
    retry = uRetryPrivilegeAdd(provmskey,provavalue);
    I've put the full code on http://sap-idm.blogspot.com/2011/01/retrying-failed-provisioning-tasks-in.html in case you need more information.
    Good luck,
    Ian Daniel

  • Task failed with unknow error

    Hi all,
    I made some changes in a mapping. I validated it and checked it in succesfully. When running the task in the dac, it gives me a unknow error. So i ran the workflow in the workflowmanager to see wich errors and warning he come up with. The mapping still fails. See the error log below.
    I have bold 5 lines wich i think are important.
    The first bold line is a little bit strange, cause a few rows below you see that he can find the parameters from the parameterfile
    Anyone have a clue why the task failed? Hope someone can help... tnx in advanced.

    Tnx for helping all... you all think is must be something with the parameter file?? This was what i did...
    The parameter file was copied from the parameter files the dac has generated. This was from the folder: /ora0/app/dac1013/bifoundation/dac/informatica/parameters
    The original file name was: ORA_R12.DataWarehouse.Custom_SDE.SDE_ORA_ProjectCostLine.txt (<connection_source>.<Connection_taget>.<informaticafolder>.<workflowname>)
    I changed it to Custom_SDE.SDE_ORA_ProjectCostLine.txt (<informaticafolder>.<workflowname> )and copied it to the folder /ora0/app/ipc861/server/infa_shared/SrcFiles
    The file i'm using is posted below.

  • ETL Tasks failing Database driver error...Function Name : Execute Multiple

    HI,
    We have Installed OBI Apps V796. Below are the details.
    OBI Apps V796
    OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1
    DAC 10.1.3.4.1
    Informatica 8.6.0
    We are getting the below error for the task "SDE_ORA_PartyPersonDimension_Customer" when we run the execution plan related to supply chain and order management analytics.
    Severity     Timestamp     Node     Thread     Message Code     Message
    ERROR     6/23/2009 8:25:54 PM     node01_obiee     WRITER_1_*_1     WRT_8229     Database errors occurred:
    Database driver error...
    Function Name : Execute Multiple
    SQL Stmt : INSERT INTO W_PARTY_PER_DS(PARTY_TYPE,FST_NAME,FULL_NAME,MID_NAME,LAST_NAME,DEPARTMENT_NAME,CONTACT_ID,CONTACT_TYPE,FAX_PH_NUM,PAGER_NUM,MOBILE_NUM,WORK_PHONE,SEX_MF_CD,ETHNICITY_CD,MARITAL_STAT_CD,BIRTH_DT,BIRTH_PLACE,DEATH_DT,ST_ADDRESS,CITY,STATE,ZIPCODE,COUNTRY,EMAIL_ADDR,JOB_TITLE,ANNL_INCOME,SUPPRESS_EMAIL_FLG,PROF_TITLE,STATUS_CD,ST_ADDRESS2,ST_ADDRESS3,ST_ADDRESS4,CREATED_BY_ID,CHANGED_BY_ID,CREATED_ON_DT,CHANGED_ON_DT,AUX1_CHANGED_ON_DT,AUX2_CHANGED_ON_DT,AUX3_CHANGED_ON_DT,AUX4_CHANGED_ON_DT,SRC_EFF_FROM_DT,SRC_EFF_TO_DT,DELETE_FLG,DATASOURCE_NUM_ID,INTEGRATION_ID,TENANT_ID,X_CUSTOM,CUSTOMER_NUM) VALUES ( ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?) ".
    As a work around we tried by changing the Target load type option to normal(previously it is bulk) and still the task failed. Also tried by enabling the Constraint based loading option and still the tas got failed.
    Any suggestions............
    As
    Regards
    Venkatesh.

    Exactly same problem I'm also facing. The log is not showing any exact error information for the cause. And the surprise thing is when i'm running the debugger its inserting all the records. But when i run the task it is failing. Here is the log.

  • Underlying task failed on exit?

    I've recently been having troubles with my main drive, which is a raid mirror of two 250GB Maxtor drives which were pulls from G5's. when I would startup the computer, startup would take forever...it would just sit on the grey apple screen for minutes before starting up. when it did start up, before I'd have a chance to open anything at all, the screen would fade to the blue shutting down screen.
    after getting started up on another drive I had as a scratch disk, I got a "device was removed incorrectly" warning, and my raid disappeared. I could see it in Disk Utility, but it would not mount. I could not verify it, and I couldn't repair it. it would report "Underlying task failed on exit."
    I somehow got the raid back online, but I've not yet been successful booting on it. today it mysteriously disconnected itself again, and I found that i could verify the disk. I tried that, and it said the disk needed minor Volume header repair. I repaired that, and tried to set up the raid, but it failed, again due to "Underlying task failed on exit."
    does anyone have any insight as to what is going on, or what i can do?
    Zack

    Since you do not say how the RAID is mounted, I am going to guess it is in the G5 internal dual bays. In that configuration I have seen problems between two Maxtors in the past. If it was my Mac I would remove the RAID and use one of the Maxtor 250GB drives as my boot drive. I would remove the second Maxtor while setting up the first one. After the first drive is configured as the boot drive I would install the second Maxtor and reformat it. This fixed my problem with two Maxtor SATA hard drives in the Apple bays in a G5.
    When using the Apple SATA bus I have not seen a huge improvement using two drives as a striped RAID set vs using a single boot drive with a second drive for user files. The only time the RAID will be faster is when copying or duplicating large files on the boot disk and I do not find this to be a frequent activity for me.
    I hope this helps,
    Michael
