After looking over the product documentation, it sounds to me like a hardware problem, i.e. you got a unit with a broken volume control knob. Is it too late to try an exchange from the dealer? Next in line would be discussing an RMA with CL Tech Support.

If you only restored from backup, restore to factory defaults/new iPod. If you then still have the problem it is likely a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Works on my iPad 3rd Gen and iPhone 4S.

Me too. A complete restore didn't help at all, either. Doesn't control itunes, Pandora, nuthin.
Also, my bluetooth controls in my car don't work, though music WILL play via bluetooth. Can't control from the steering wheel anymore.

Satellite U500 - The volume buttons do not work

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite U500 two days ago, and already having problems :(
It has a touch sensitive control buttons, which includes the eco utility, media buttons, and volume control (+ and -)
The volume buttons do not work, and sometimes the computer freezes upon touching them. Once I touch the -, it keeps turning the volume down until it reaches zero, and even if I turn it up using windows, it returns to zero (like if the button is still being pressed). The + one doesn't work at all.
Please help. Any way to reinstalle their drivers ?
The only solution I found is to disable them using HWSetup...

I just had to uninstall the Toshiba Common Modules, and reinstalled them. It worked.
I hope it doesn't happen again.

Hopefully I do not have that GPU killing fan problem with the other two big side fans on it that I hear some have had from newegg reviews. The fans all run great and kick up to about 50% on full load at 60C (it's cold here) . The other cards that have the problem killed their GPU's because the side fans would only stay at 25% no matter what the temp of the GPU was from what I am hearing (although it could be the PWM temp frying). The vga fan control software works (from what I have seen from various videos and demos) with all three fans and the PWM/GPU temp showing numbers. The bottom fan (fan 2) slider which controls the middle yellow fan was active. In my vga fan control software the middle fan control is locked and cannot be moved although the side fans can be unlocked and controlled manually. The GPU temp and side fans speed(s) shows but not the PWM temp or the middle yellow fan speed. The fans only go up to 50% at best at a full load temp on the GPU at 57-60C due to the stock fan profile in MSI afterburner. If I go 100% by adjusting the fan curve at 60-70C, the noise is immense and sounds like a vacuum cleaner. I played around with it a bit and got temps down 1-2C by setting a 75% or lower curve at 60-70C. I believe this only controls the side fans and not the middle yellow fan as I cannot read the PWM temp or adjust the middle yellow fan. The card is a MSI Lightning 4GB R9 290X.

When you say they don't work, what are you trying to do? When you say the ring switch, I'm assuming you are referring to the mute switch that turns the ringer off/on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
The standard troubleshooting procedures for the iPhone are:
Power off/on
Reset
Restore, first from backup, then as a new phone.
IF that doesn't help, then you make an appointment at the nearest Apple Genius Bar and have them see if there is a hardware issue.

Beats audio controls not working

Using my beats headphones this morning with my MacBook Air and iTunes. Everything is up to date. Although today now the audio controls on the cord won't work. Normally I can pause iTunes or control the volume. I do this multiple times a day but no go today.
Is this another 10.10.2 bug? Illustrator 2014 CC no longer works properly with my external monitor. I'm getting frustrated with all these bugs.
Also, in my 'About This Mac' info window, it shows my OS as "135122" instead of "Mac OS X" - I'm sure that's not normal.
Any thoughts, anyone?

I did a reboot and repaired permissions, which solved the beats headphones controls not working.
Still concerned about the Mac OS version display though. Curious to know if anyone else has that as well.

if it tells that DB Control is running so what you've got when You are trying tu run db console (http://host:port/em/ ) ?
if it's not runnig type 'emctl START dbconsole' and try again
anyway, if something doesn't work that there have to be some errors :)

minutes> that's all it took, the volume & off button didn't work when she gave it back to me. call it coincidental...who knows, and know one seems to know the FIX. but i can tell you that if your sound setting is ON, then that's not going to fix the problem. i've even reset my phone from settings, but that didn't resolve the issue either. the next step would be to plug into itunes & do a factory restore.....but i read someone tried that and it didn't work either, so good luck getting a resolution for this...:)

I have a brand new wireless keyboard... so it's never going to work. BUT... I found a sort of work round!
Since it's eyeTV that I want to control the volume more than the system volume I discovered cmd and up/down arrows do the job. I gess I'll forgo the brightness function.
I'm a little frustrated that it appears Apple seems to want to push me towards an upgrade of a perfectly serviceable iMac G5. I'll be keeping it to watch TV, surf the web, wordprocess and let the macbook pro handle photos & video.
