AV Edge NAT Configuration for UDP 3478 with Federated Partners (FTURN)

For A/V media to be relayed between two (NAT'd) federated partners edge servers over UDP 3478 "Tunnel Mode", must the NAT be configured so that the source port not be changed on an inbound packet.
In Converse:
If the NAT changes the source port of an inbound packet, will it break/prevent UDP "Tunnel Mode"? (thus forcing media connectivity by other connectivity points)
Edge Server  Sends  (source) x.x.x.x:3478 (dest) x.x.x.x:3478  ---->  NAT Device ---->
(source) x.x.x.x:6000 (dest) x.x.x.x:3478 ---> Received at Destination Edge Server.

I don’t think this can work.
On the other hand, if the remote Edge server sends the traffic to your Edge server, how the traffic reaches and communicates with your Edge Server ?

  • Server 2008 configured for PXE boot with UIU and GhostCast

    Right now, I am in the process of switching over from UIU 4, to UIU 5, and the implementation is completely different.  We used GhostCast to push images out before, but the new UIU uses WIM files to pull the drivers off the server.  I had a few
    questions about reconfiguring the new server.
    Currently, we have a server 2003 machine running ghost cast.  It pulls its images off of a server 2008 machine.  The server 2008 machine can be accessed remotely.  So my first question is, can this be configured to allow remote connections
    with the new setup?
    The things I have been reading have said that you need to enable DNS, AD, and DHCP, however if we connect this to a WAN, will it conflict with that?  Or can we configure only one of the ethernet ports to see this?  Sorry kind of new to this.
    I guess my main concern is, can we set up a separate domain for GhostCasting, while still being connected to an external domain?

    I’m not sure what you really want to do. For PXE boot, I think DHCP is always required just like Microsoft deployment solution WDS and MDT.
    The two products are third products, so I don’t know the detail information about how they work. Based on my experience, they should be based on broadcast or multicast.
    If so it could be a bad idea if you install it on a server facing the internet.
    I think you can also ask in the third party forums that provide the products.

  • Configuration for best performance with concurrent access

    Could someone tell me the flags I need to specify to achieve the best BDB performance in a multithreaded (concurrent) environment?
    I am using Hash type and have simple access protocol. Just key/value get/put and delete. I don't need transactions or recovery
    I tried DB_CREATE | DB_INIT_MPOOL | DB_INIT_CDB | DB_THREAD env. open flags and DB_CREATE | DB_THREAD db open flags, but I can only achieve 10000 requests per second.
    I can get up to 40000 RPS with a single thread and just DB_CREATE | DB_INIT_MPOOL for environment and DB_CREATE for database. That should be sufficient, but I need that performance in multithreaded environment.
    I tried EnvOpenFlags = DB_CREATE | DB_INIT_MPOOL | DB_THREAD and DbOpenFlags = DB_CREATE | DB_THREAD, but I am getting the following errors on Put:
    page 29778: illegal page type or format
    PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery
    PANIC: Invalid argument
    If I add DB_INIT_LOCK to the EnvOpenFlags, I get deadlocks. I am not sure why I even getting them based on my access schema.

    I am running test on 64 bit Windows 2003.
    Data is accessed randomly, but in the test, I do only inserts. Data is just a list of key/value pairs. Key is int and Value is byte array or size 50 (but it could vary up to about 50000).
    In production it could be around 30 database files (one database per file), but for the test I use only one file.
    I don't have config.log file. I built only db_dll and db_stat projects in VSN2005 and I use it form C# code through managed C++ wrapper.

    How can I open my nat type on the xbox 360 with my wrt160n?
    Currently it is on moderate..........

    I had this same problem, I had to enable three things. enable UPnP, enable Allow users to make congiguration changes, enable Allow users to disable internet access. You most likely have the first two I mentioned enabled but the last one is the one I didn't have enabled and once I enabled then I had open NAT

  • A/V and Conferencing don't work with federated partners

    Hi Guys.
    I hope someone can assist us.
     We have Lync Server 2013 installed and have a unusual error.
     This is what they have:
    Internet -> Firewall -> TMG 2010 -> Lync Edge -> Front End
    The Edge Server  & Front End server is Windows 2012 Standard Edition.
    So we are planning on moving the Edge server to the DMZ soon.
     As for Lync functionality this is currently working (Note that the client did not opt for Enterprise voice.)

     Both users AD and Federated user do have permission on their own Lync policies to use these functions.
     The error that we get from the federated partner logs is as follows.
     ms-client-diagnostics 26 reason a federated call failed to establish due to a media connectivity failure where one endpoint is internal and the other is remote.
    Any Ideas???

    Based on my experience, you should check your TMG and Firewall settings and verify the required ports are opened, the required access rules are configured correctly.
    Also please check the ports of Edge Server  that you defined  in the topology.

    If I am using source nat in ACE (One IP address 10.10.10.200) used for all client address translations.
    What would be the difference between the nat-pools configured with different netmask.
    What is the recommended netmask for pat, 255.255.255.255 or Vlan interface's Mask (/24 in this case)
    and why?

    > There will be Source NAT configured for all Serverfarms.

    I am trying to use POF to serialize one specific named cache only. The client nodes are configured for near caches with no local storage. I ran into a problem where I got error log complaints that another node in the cluster was not configured for POF serialization for the DistributedCache service. So, I created a new service PofDistributedCache service for use by the pof cache. That changed my errors but didn't get me very far.
    Q1: If I have mixed pof / non-pof caches, to they need to use different DistributedCache services?
    Q2: Does the server (back-cache) also need a <serializer> block?
    Q3: Does the server need all the object classes and the classes needed to (de)serialize the objects?

    If you want to deserialize the objects, then certainly they do. But with POF you don't necessarily need to deserialize entries from partitioned caches to define indexes or run entry-processors/aggregations on them. You can leverage PofExtractor-s and PofNavigator-s to do all your server-side logic, although for complex data access it may be less efficient. You do need the key classes (on cache NamedCache caller side) for being able to do operations on a partitioned cache, though.

  • Php update/configure for Server 4.0

    I had working Apache2 + PHP 5.6 running perfectly locally for development.
    Web Docs were located in /Sites folder in user directory.
    After Installing Server 4.0 all my setup is messed up. I can configure website again but it not uses PHP I have upgraded to.

  • Coming home for two weeks with unlocked 3GS.  advice?

    i bought my 3GS in taiwan unlocked and i've been using it with my carrier over here. i'll be coming home for two weeks and i was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get a pay as you go plan for when i'm at home. i'll be in portland. any advice would be appreciated.

    Not sure if there is a local/regional GSM carrier in that area but if not, the only other GSM carrier in the U.S. that comes anywhere close to AT&T in terms of network coverage is T-Mobile, and I don't believe T-Mobile's 3G network in the U.S. is compatible with the 3G and 3GS, so it would EDGE or slower for data access with T-Mobile.
    You can get data access with a pay-as-you-go plan, but data access with AT&T's network via pay-as-you-go will be expensive. AT&T is the only official carrier for the iPhone in the U.S. at this time.

  • Issues with source NAT configuration in VNMC

    Before coming to the questions/doubts let me explain the ASA 1000v setup that I have
    ASA 1000v
    -          inside interface with ip 10.1.1.1 (attached to a network with subnet 10.1.1.0/24 and vlan 515)
    -          outside interface with ip 10.147.30.236 (attached to a network with subnet 10.147.30.0/24 and vlan 30)
    On ASA running ‘show route’ outputs following:
    C             10.1.1.0 255.255.255.0 is directly connected, esp-in
    C             10.147.28.0 255.255.255.0 is directly connected, management
    C             10.147.30.0 255.255.255.0 is directly connected, esp-out
    S*           0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 [1/0] via 10.147.30.1 via esp-out
    On VNMC I created edge firewall with inside interface as ‘esp_in’ (10.1.1.1) and outside as ‘esp_out’ (10.147.30.236)
    Now I want to configure the following scenarios through VNMC:
    1.       Source NAT : 10.1.1.0/24 -> 10.147.30.236. While trying to configure this I see the following error in VNMC

This working for me initially and I was able to ssh from a VM attached to subnet 10.1.1.0/24 to an outside VM. But after I did a re-assign with the same ASA appliance this stopped working and there was a configuration error:

    -          How to enabling logging/debugging on ASA or VNMC to see packet details and how rules are getting applied?

  • Getting SPWeb.CurrentUser as null with Windows Authentication (AD), when configured for Claims Authentication

    Hi All,
    We recently migrated to SP 2013 from SP 2010. We are using most of the OOB features, with a few custom code. We have implemented a custom ASP.NET Membership Provider that authenticates against a web service. This was working fine on SP 2010.
    The entire code base was migrated to SP 2013 (with .net fw 4.5, etc) and any issues Compile / Runtime were fixed. However, we are stuck at one bug, which seems to be occuring only while trying to login with Windows Authentication. When a user tries to login
    with Forms Authentication, the error is never noticed.
    Scenrio: Login as Windows Authentiction.
    Result: The user is signed into the system and is authenticated against the AD. For random page loads - it throws access denied (even though he is a site collection admin). While attaching a debugger, we found that, at times the SPWeb.CurrentUser is null (weird).
    At the same time, the HttpContext.Current.Request.IsAuthenticated returns true. Which means the User is Authenticated, but not available in the SPWeb.CurrentUser object. 
    Attached are couple of ULS Logs that we found. The line which says IsAuthenticated=True, UserIdentityName=, ClaimsCount=0 is a little disturbing. Can you please let me know what is happening here? I am not able to access the root site (http://win2012d2:1234/)
    however, i am able to access (http://win2012d2:1234/SitePages/Home.aspx) just fine, without any issues.
    Please note, this error is only when the user is logged into sharepoint as a windows user. The forms user faces no such issues.

    According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when users login with Windows Authentication.
    From the error message, I recommend to check if the anonymous access is enabled for the web application.
    And please also make sure that the users all are available and have permission to access the site.

  • Doesn't play songs, "itunes is not configured for use with mac-formatted"??

    Hi, new ipod shuffle. Seems to charge fine, all indicator lights function as expected. Everything looks fine in itunes. But it doesn't play songs. I have the most recent versions of itunes and the ipod software. Re-set, updated, and restored, nothing works. Even restored using the restore utility. Re-started computer. Checked for volume control. Won't play songs. Tried different file types. Songs play fine from itunes library and from the device's library within itunes. Tried different headphones. Hooked it up to computer speakers. Turning volume all the way up on device and speakers, heard some very faint rhythmic static, so my guess is the jack socket (or whatever you call it) is just messed up, but it seems weird that it can transfer power and data to the device but doesn't work for sound...
    The only other issues that have come up is that the drive disappears in explorer once it syncs with itunes. Other people who've noticed this seem to have completely different problems so I don't think it's related.
    Also, I have MacDrive on my computer. And when it starts up with the ipod plugged in, MacDrive offers the message "Itunes is not configured for use with Mac-formatted ipods." It offers to automatically reconfigure itunes so it can read mac-formatted ipods. Since I've restored the device, I don't see why formatting should be an issue so I say "no."
    Should I try letting macdrive do its format thing? Should I try formatting the ipod disk on the My Computer menu? Or should I just email apple and tell them the jack's busted?

    Well, I have had my iPod for about 3 years, it is a 4th generation non-video 40 GB. One day it just stopped working, and now it does not play any songs. when I turn it on it makes this odd whirring sounds that computers make when they try really hard to do something. I cannot charge it, and it is not recognized by iTunes. Also when I turn it on, I get the apple.com/ipod/support (or whatever it is) screen. Needless to say, my warranty is expired, and so I cannot do anything for it except get a new battery, or buy a new one. Is there any way to fix this problem, or anyone out there who is experiencing the same thing?
    I'm having the exact same problem with my wife's iPod. However it will play about 3 seconds of a song and go onto the next song.

  • Reports are not posting with report repository webserver configured for Sin

    We have configured Single Signon on our Test environment (UADB1) using Sun Authentication Manager. Everything went well, we can login using our LDAP accounts except for one thing. The reports are not posting to the report repository.
    Our setup goes like this. We have used only one webserver for login and for report repository purposes. SSL certificate was configured in the webserver and we are using https in the report node. Both URLs https://dv001.test.com:8450 and http://dv001.test.com:8400 were configured for Single Signon.

  • Process flow with configuration for online payment of vendors

    Dear friends,
    I need the process flow with configuration for online payment to vendors through rtgs or neft.
    Please help me in this regard. One of my client wants to implement online payment process instead of cheque payment.

    1) Payments are initiated at the corporate SAP System using APP and converted into IDOC
    Could you please tell me the steps in converting the app into idoc.
    There are standard Idoc used for the same , for APP it would be PAYEXT, You need to use this Idoc type.
    You define the EDI payment method and assign the program in FBZP (RFFOEDI1)which would created payment medium.
    i believe in the app we will create the proposal and run the payment run, after payment proposal created what are the config steps involved in createing the payment run. for example for checque payment we will maintian variant for cheque printing.
    The payment run config is done in FBZP, which would include definf check PM and assigning house bank sub gl etc.
    2) PI at Client End receives the input through IDOC for the payments
    Pl means? and how the client will recieve this idoc what is the set up has to be made?
    PI(Process Integration) middleware which will send bank files from sap to bank and vice versa.
    3) Bank PI receives the payment and converts the same RTGS/NEFT format
    4) Payment Data is received at the Bank RTGS/ NEFT server for further processing
    how the payment data will be recieved by bank what is the process?
    This is again via PI or any thoird party tool which will send bank files to sap as Idoc, The idoc message type is FINSTA.
    or this in SAP you will have to configure the following:
    *House bank with partner profile
    *Outbound parameters                      what is meant by outbound paramenters and how to create and where to maintian
    *Inbound parameters                          what is meant by inbound paramenters and how to create and where to maintian
    The outbound and Inbounmd idoc's are the one which we send(PAYEXT) and rec from bank(FINSTA).  you create partner profile in WE20 and create partner profile once you create you assign outbound and inbound message types in there.
    *EDI Compatible payment methods        how to know about the compaitable payment methods
    Please goto house bank FI12 and you will see this in there, assign the PM used.
    *APP config                                        i know the app config for cheque payment, for this scenairo any additional settings?
    It would be pretty much same, you will have to define the PM used and Payment medium and remaining configuration in FBZP.
    *Bank details in Vendor :
    You will have to maintain the bank details of the vendor in vendor master.
