Hi all
If user-company already has their own "Anti-Virus Server" or "Windows-update Server", can CAM refer to their servers(not Cisco's policy-update-server) to get current update files?

How do i make sure that cisco clean access manager does indeed access internet to get or check updates for Microsoft definitions.?
Secondly, is there any way to clear or delete the nac agent cache that might gather due to prolonged use in cisco folder under program files, if at all this might happen.

I know what you said. It looks like that something conflict after these updates are installed.
I don’t experience this problem.
From my view, TMG loss the connection toward internet. There must be some information on TMG.
We need to know how do these updates impact on TMG and we need to know if the issue is only related to your environment.
If the issue is not special case, we intend to submit it to MS support.

Windows Updates for SharePoint 2013 Environment

I created a visual machine for SharePoint 2013 development by following steps mentioned below.
--Install Winows Server 2008 R2
--SQL Server 2008 R2
--SP2 for SQL Server 2008 R2
--SP1 for Winows Server 2008 R2
--Sharepoint 2013 Pre-Requisites
--Sharepoint 2013 Setup
--Sharepoint 2013 Designer
--Installed March and August 2013 Cumulative Updates for SharePoint 2013
--Installed SP1 for SharePoint 2013
I want to ask do i need to install Windows Updates after installing different updates as i mentioned above because everty now and then windows updates message keep pops up and i did'nt install windows updates yet.
Why is it necessary or what impact window updates would have on my environment if i need to do it??

Windows Updates cover security updates as well as stability improvements, and so on. You're simply patching SharePoint and SQL in the above case.
It should be noted that any SharePoint patches that come down through Windows Update need to be manually handled as you'll need to run the Config Wizard (e.g. MS14-022 and MS14-050 which are SharePoint updates).
When you're installing SharePoint 2013, you only need to install SP1 if that is your target. There is no requirement to install March 2013 or August 2013.

Update for Root Certificates for Windows 7 [March 2014] (KB931125) Expired

Hi All
Today i wanted to deploy the security updates of the month march 2014 to my production environment.
I noticed that the update "Update for Root Certificates for Windows 7 [March 2014] (KB931125)" is Expired
Strange last week I added this update in our Acceptation environment with no problems.
Someone knows what happend to this update , i cannot find it on the microsoft site

I don't understand what you're trying to say.
Why do you quote that old information from the KB article? It's not really relevant to the update Johan asked about because the December 2012 version of KB931125 is not the same update that was released on March 11, 2014 which then immediately expired.
It's not only the server updates that have been expired this time. It's the Windows 7 update and the Windows XP updates as well. I don't have any other OS versions in my managed environment so I don't know which other OS versions it affects but my guess is
it's expired on all of them.
It would be nice with some real information about why this particular version (March 2014) was recalled.
If there is a problem with it I would like to know what kind of problems I'll be facing on the clients that did install it before it expired.
And if there is a problem with it, will there be an interim fix available? Will a new update be released and if so- when?
Can you please see if you can provide us with some relevant information?

Will Firefox be configured to update for non-admins on windows 7/8

We are considering allowing Firefox in our 5000 user hospital and are currently all Internet Exploder. None of our users are admins on the hospital systems so, is it possible to push updates to windows 7/8 systems? I am not looking for help doing the push, just wanting to know if the updates available for download as MSI or EXE?

hello, since version 26 firefox is able to auto-update on windows even for non-admin users (when the mozilla maintenance service is getting installed in the original configuration): http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/26.0/releasenotes/#whatsnew
those would be the auto-updates provided by mozilla directly - so i'm not sure if this is something that would fit in your environment. installing the .exe file of a new version (available at [https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/]) on top of an older version will also update the program.

Failure(s) to install a particular update for Windows 7

Several times now, I've tried to use Windows update, but it keeps failing... giving the error code:
"WindowsUpdate_80070103" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"
I've searched the Windows website for an appropriate and useful answer, but so far I haven't found an appropriate answer :-(
Windows help just gives the result:
0 results for "WindowsUpdate_80070103" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"
What's going on, and why I can't find an answer to this problem, I have no idea at all.
This has been going on for several weeks now.
So unfortunately, I'm now "forced" to ignore this so-called "important" update option :-(

Microsoft all ready has an update for Windows Phone 8.1 Verizon customers still don't have WP 8.1. UGH!

Microsoft has all ready released an update to Windows Phone 8.1. Us Verizon customers don't even have WP 8.1. *** Verizon? My contract with Verizon is up in November this is the tipping point. I am not going to renew my contract. I will just buy the phone out right and sign up for Straight Talk. Then I don't need to have the "Nanny service provider (Verizon)" telling me when I am able to obtain a device update. Thanks for nothing Verizon.

On one side, I can understand that maybe (and that's a BIG maybe) Verizon wants to make sure they have enough data (pardon the pun) regarding the successful adaptation of the update for it's customers in order to make sure everything goes smoothly. However, I find that Verizon likes to keep customers in the dark regarding time frames. It's interesting to see on some of the similar titles message boards entries on this topic have Verizon monitors ready to wipe out entries if they violate terms of service on the forums. But, when asked directly about time frames for Windows updates, you either get a link to some Verizon news page (which is of no help), or nothing at all. A number of people called Verizon customer service and get varied answers like: "Sometime this summer", "Soon", or even an "I don't know, they don't even tell us either"...which is the answer I got one time. Very discouraging. I had a choice between the Windows Phone, or a Samsung Galaxy phone. I chose Windows because of it's features. Beginning to regret it now, since support for it on Verizon appears to be dismal at best.

I suspect if you're trying to open a file in 08 that's been opened in 09 the file has been updated to 09 and will not open in 08.

Helps if I give the correct link ! <br/>The press shift button appears to still work, but the option to start in safe mode from the programs listing of a standard install I do not think exists anymore.
Safe mode will start from a command line, (or a shortcut) and in some circumstances you may need to enter the full path name on a command or shortcut detailed instructions are at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
Remember (at least at this stage) do not make changes when you get the options list, just click on the continue button.
If you think that RealPlayer is causing the problem you could uninstall that for now.
Firefox recent versions are 3.6 4.0 (and 5.0 in beta). There is some debate as to whether creating new profiles or re-installing Firefox is the simplest method of troubleshooting and solving some of these problems, personally I use multiple profiles and multiple versions of Firefox, and tend to forget the required procedures are less than straightforward. For now at least try [[safe mode]] again.

Hi mcclausky, you may need to manually remove a policy setting from the registry. You also should scan for malware that might have created this problem.

My new one is a Windows 8 OS so I bought the 13 and downloaded it on the new laptop. Our desktop had died so I downloaded the 13 on the new desk computer also. Not thinking I downloaded 13 on my old laptop as I hope to get it patched up enough to be a backup for my photography. When I tried to activate it I realized that I had downloaded it too often. I didn't know you could only use it on two computers. Learn something new every day.. Any way I removed it and now my PSE 12 does not seem to be working. Now it could be something that I did or something that is an issue with the laptop. this laptop has all the previous editions on board as I always tried to update, except for the year I got a really good deal on Black Friday. I also notice that the new laptop has a copy of PSE 12 in the program list. To my knowledge I have never deactivated any of my PSE's except the extra 13 downloaded. Bottom line, do I need to go in and deactivate previous PSE versions and removed them from my computer? I could certainly use the space and secondly, can I deactivate the PSE 12 and then go back and reacitivate it and install it again on the old laptop or the desktop, whichever I deside would be the most appropriate place for the newer program. For the PSE 12 since it is an updater for 11, does the 11 still need to be on the laptop? thanks for anyone who can understand what I am trying to say and can advise me as to my next move. ITunes Update for Windows Vista 64 bit

Does anybody know when this is going to be released. I got an iPhone and can't sync it with the latest version of Windows Vista. The friendly staff at AT&T forgot to tell me that I would not be able to use my iPhone until iTunes came out with an update for Windows Vista.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
