Availability of the Lumia Denim update in South Af...

I'm a proud user of cyan and a Nokia Lumia 520 here in south Africa.. Denim had ruled out January 2015 but still I haven't received any software update but here's is what I know that denim is available in south Africa cause a friend of mine has the same phone module but registered on MTN and had successfully updated his phone to denim whilst on Lumia phones registered on VODACOM and CELLC haven't yet received the update.. Can anyone explain what's going on is there a way That i can get denim or will this be the same case with windows 10

If your phone has Vodacom's customised software variant then it could be waiting for Vodacom's testing and approval.

Request for information regarding the Lumia Denim and WP 8.1 Update 1 for Lumia 920

When can those of us with the Lumia 920 get the Lumia Denim update and the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 Update for our phones? And does AT&T have a time fram for getting us Lumia 920 owners the update or are we not going to get this update until Windows Phone 10 comes out?

Lumia Denim update has started rolling out to selected devices and markets, and will continue to rollout in several waves. A wider rollout of Lumia Denim to all Lumia devices running Windows Phone 8.1, is expected to begin in early January, following partner testing and approvals.

"Lumia Helps+Tips" is usually the more relevant one, containing product specific support articles as well. "Helps+Tips" on the other hand is a general app for all Windows Phone devices, containing only platform level support materials.
Did you manually download the "Helps+Tips" app from the Store or did it appear to your phone along with the Denim update?

Nokia Lumia 822 Lumia Denim Update from Verizon

Hello All,
I have enrolled in Developer Preview on Nokia Lumia 822. My WPhone got windows 8.10.14219.341
The firmware version is 3051.40000.1352.0042 and it shows Lumia Black in the extras + info.
When I got the Verizon update, i tried to update several times.
It successfully downloads and prepares to install.
When it reboots and try to install the patch, it finishes quickly.
I get the message:
It's probably a temporary problem. To Try again, go to settings > Phone Update 0x80188308.
What should I do to get Lumia Denim update on my phone? Reset the phone ?
Please advise.

Lumia Denim performacnce is not good as Cyan. I have lumia 925 and it is heating more after upgrade.
What OS giant??
I reset the phone but still it is worst.
It heats like a hell.
Lumia is like wired phone. very poor battery performance.
So many Apps are not able to start.
I was happy with Cyan. Denim is not so great as expected.

I believe that is the way it is supposed to behave with battery saver On, so nothing to fix.

You cannot.
Unless you have done as you should and have the old facebook app on your computer.

Greetings, I have an nokia lumia 1020 produced in HK and I live in Romania. The denim update is released in HK and in Ro too, but my phone doesn't found any update, help me if you can.

No sir, I unistalled that app after microsoft started to release wp 10 preview for dev because 1020 it's not on the list for preview at this moment.

Lumia Denim update for Lumia 630DS

Microsoft told that all the Lumias will get denim update by the end of February but till now there is no denim update for Lumia 630 dual sim in India.

should be soon hopefully as other regions in Asia and Europe have already received the update. sit tight its coming.

First time poster. I've been reading these boards for a week now trying to figure out, from the various posts and their many sub-pages, whether this update is
a) available (UK)
b) effective
My wife and I both like the Lumia 800 but are put off by the very concerning battery and sound issues. We are happy to get one provided we can be sure the recent fix is precisely that. We were looking at O2; has anyone on O2 got the update yet, and what are your findings?

Well I'm on Vodafone UK; 12070 update appears to have significantly improved mattersfor me.. These days I ignore the 'estimated time remaining' figure, as it seems to be based on tour usage in an unspecified previous period so now merely provides mild interest. However the 'remaining battery life' definitely reduces noticeably more slowly.
Usage-wise, I use functions as I need them.. I don't need 24/7 web connection so turn Cellular or Wifi on as and when. While I'll turn Cellular off asap, I'll often leave Wifi on if I'm not leaving the zone. The phone is almost always turned on; I've never yet used flight mode. Listen to music in the car, but often hook up to a charger while doing this, as I would with any mobile.
I might charge every day, sometimes every couple of days.Depends how much I've been doing.
To put it in context, my netbook (Wifi always on) battery lasts 45 MINUTES if I'm lucky!
I like it, anyway.. 12070 has definitely enhanced my experience :-)
I also got the latest version of Drive, and while I still don't really 'do' satnav it seems to be improving by degrees. Satnav regulars have other threads going on that one I think.

Nokia Lumia 638 Denim Update

I purchased Nokia Lumia 638 a couple of weeks back from Amazon India. The phone came preinstalled with Lumia cyan update. Therefore I checked the availability of Lumia denim update for my device. When I checked Microsoft's website it was mentioned that firmware not yet available for this device(Screenshot attached). This same phone has been updated with Lumia denim in China(Screenshot attached). Therefore I decided to use Software Recovery Tool. When I connected my phone it is showing that "You have the latest available software version"(Screenshot attached). Just before posting this I checked phone updates and it showed that "Your Phone is up to date".What should I do now to update my device to Lumia denim?

Hi, vasudev99. We suggest waiting as software updates are being released in a gradual manner. Your phone will notify you once an update is available. It is also worth checking our website frequently to get the latest info about the availability of the Lumia Denim update. BTW, welcome to our community.

Will Lumia 1020 ever going to get Denim update, is...

I was googling about Lumia Denim update rolling out in india for 520 and 525 handsets. this update has some cool features, however, every other device is getting this update (now or in future) but lumia 1020 is not showing up?
is there a possiblity for getting Denim update for 1020? i think it has a similar chipset and processor (dual core not a quad) that of 520 and 525. then why ?
someone please let me know, if they received this update, or any workarounds to get that?
