I'm facing a problem with my Availability Status functionality in the member List Iview...it doesnt work properly...meaning, when I choose Auto Detect Status it shows that Im offline while Im online...how to make this functionality work..please advise

Because we have the same problem and it seems to me like a bug. The answer for this problem from SAP is everytime patching (to Patch 33 then to Patch 35).
Now we have Patch 35 and the problem is still there. So it is interesting to hear that anyone has the same problem.

2. You can create group with 3 DB Instances as it members.
    The Group homepage would display the availability of all three instances
     Create group following Section "Creating and Editing Groups" in Managing Groups .

Vehicle availability status doubts

Dear sir,
Here they are using customized tcode to see the vehicle status(i.e if it is green-vehicle available,if it red-vehicle is breakdown).we could not able to find that in which table they have status information.
Now customer required management level report to see month wise vehicle available status.
how to take each day wise vehicle status-please let me know how to process
I have tried in JCDS table its not showing exactly day wise staus

This query is technical centered. As you told this is a Z report, the traffic light status field comes from the logic in the program. This might be coded in a way that the code finds the User status/Sy Status of the Equipment (tables JEST, TJ02T/TJ30T etc) the depending upon that it assigns the green, red traffic light signal to a Zfield of the internal table. If this is the logic, you need to develop a program for management level report using the above tables (also EQUI). So this is an ABAPer's job.

Availability Status seems not to be functioning

APEX 3.0.0.00.20
Oracle 9.2.0.7
Solaris 8
When I set the Availability Status to "Restricted Access" and use an account that is in the "Restrict to..." list, the application cannot be run.
Logging on with an account that is marked in APEX as a developer account does not allow the execution of an application set to "Available to Developers Only".
In both these cases the application cannot be run.
I'm likely not understanding all the implications of these Availability Status settings.
How might I be confused here?

Thanks for the test case. You've found one of the least used nooks and crannies of the product.The main problem is that the app uses database authentication. In this mode, all users are the public user so neither the Developers Only nor the Restricted Access tests will succeed, even if you run a page from the Builder run links.
The other problem is that even with named-user authentication hooked up (which I did in your test app), if anyone accesses a public page before they login, they are known as "nobody". However if they access a non-public page, they can login and all should be well, even if they then visit a public page. (The login page has a special status and does not have this problem.)
So you need to put nobody in your restricted list to make the Restricted Access feature work for the public pages. However the Developers Only feature won't work unless developers login first.

Java 7 General Availability Status

Hello,
What is the current general availability status of Java and JRE 7 (browser plugin mainly)? In java.com there is a reference to a page saying that it is not available to the general public yet (http://java.com/en/download/faq/java7.xml) but I remember getting prompted for an automatic update back last summer. Also from the Java pages at oracle.com it would seem as if it is generally available and I could not see anything that said it was not meant for production yet.
If it is not GA yet, what is the time frame for this?

ok. let's try:
the availability of a vehicle is changed by a VMS action that is executed.
This is caused by action matrix configuration in the VMS:
IMG -> logistics execution -> VMS -> control data -> define action controls ...
Here, select an action matrix (right side), and then click twice on the field "availability, locations and planned delivery" (left side).

Note: when definining the action matrices for the availability, make sure that the availability is not unforeseen overwritten by other actions. The best way is to define the availibility only by one matrix, as long as the actions of assigned matrices to the vehicle model don't interfere with each other in regards to the availability.

If the Calendar account you’re using displays your status for an event, you can change the status at any time and still be available to meet during an event.
By default, Calendar sets your status as free during all-day events and as busy during all other events.
Double-click the event, then click the event’s date.

Jabber For Windows - Available Status on Hibernation

We're running Jabber for Windows 9.1.1 ansd see an issue which I think is casued by hiberantion.
A laptop user will be at their pc and and Available, then on leaving their desk, they would typically just close their pc lid, hibernating the pc, and leave the building.
Their status stays as Available, when of course thay are not. I understand that CUP has not received a specific state change event to update their status, but does any one know if their is a timeout/keepalive that would eventually indicate the user is offline?
I've not had chance test this in detail yet, I've just noticed it a few times when users near me are no longer at their desk, but still show as available.
Has anyone out there come across this? Or do I need to be telling our users they should sign out of Jabber before hibernating their pc's?

We have also been suffering from this issue ( I supect) - Running 9.1.2 client but it is also in 9.1.1. Same CUPS 8.6 version etc.
Closing my PC lid - PC Asleep
I can been seen as Away from another PC.
Opening my PC lid - I am still seen Away - both on my own jabber and a watcher client. I haven’t logged out and my status does not change even when I am back on the keyboard etc.
I can change it manually and then its appears correct both on my PC and the other PC.
Or
If I log out of jabber and back in – the correct status is shown both locally and remotely.
This appears confusing to the end user who thinks presence isn't working correctly. we have a number of jabebr users that move between locations for meetings and hence often just close thier PC lid and move locations. FYI - this also happens within the same site.
can you advise if there is a TAC case and if so if we can get an update ?

How to set the Availability Status globaly

Our database will placed in Restricted mode for a major upgrade. How can I set the Availability to a status of Unavailable(Redirect to URL) and add the URL to redirect to for all of our APEX applications without going in one by one?

Sorry, did NOT see the database going down message, since APEX runs in the database, it would be rather hard for it to redirect anywhere, however as the other poster said, if you are using mod_plsql you could have a redirect rule built..

Availability status and avatars

hey guys Web Beta is working pretty well for basic messaging needs - nice job. However, I don't know if it's just me on Chrome/PC - but no avatars display for contacts and more importantly, no sort of Availability icon/status indictator? It is very helpful to have that little green overlay available icon or whatever. Is there something I can do or is that not working right now? cheers

Why the LMS topology Service takes long time to reflect the device availability status?

In the topology services map, the color status of the router takes long time to move from red to green and vice versa.
i have already configured the time interval in the fault monitor poller setting to 6minutes but the only thing reflected the little mark at the top of the icon itself. anyhow the topology service still believe that the devices are unreachable. i have waited almost 45 minutes and nothing happened.
please let me known the trick to make the topology services act more quicker .

Topology Services isn't really designed to be a near real time network device up/down tool. It will an change icon's status as a result an ANI engine polling cycle or an admin operator-initiated manual device rediscovery. While you can increase the frequency of polling cycles, that's not usually such a good idea as you could make the server be polling constantly and never completing a job.
To ascertain near real time fault status one should refer to the Fault Dashboard.

Has anyone updated an app via the store only to have the app stay in Update Available status?

Uupdated the app called ChordProBuddy and the update remains in the ready to update status on my App Store Dock Icon and in the update window of the App Store. It will not go away after the download is completed.
Any Suggestions?

Thanks for the fast reply. I have done a restart and deleted the app. That resulted in not having the app and still having the problem. The vendor support was great. He sent me another app and I installed it and the app is now working but the "update " just stays there.

Query Data availability Status Display

We have a Requirement wherein we need to show Traffic status against Query. The Status " Green" would indicate that all the underlying infoproviders have been loaded, the data load is up to date & query is ready to use.
I have explored BI Technical content, but i am not able to find anything which meets this requirement.
we are on BI 7.0 SP15.

This is not what i require. We wanted to show a traffic light status indicator against Queries.
Basically the user wanted to have a Web Entry tool in which they would like to see Query status & not the infoprovider status. The query status as i mentioned earlier should correspond to the latest data avaliability in all the underlying Infocubes/ODS.
