Available Capacity not updating

This might be an easy fix, but I'm not too familiar with my iPod yet. According to iTunes, I have used 8.86 GB of my 30 GB iPod's capacity. But when I go to my iPod's Settings\About screen, it says that the capacity is 27.8 GB and 27.7 GB are available. Is there any way to update that? All of my songs and videos work fine, but the capacity thing is bugging me to no end. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have them backed up yet to another location
other than the iTunes folder but they're all in my
iTunes library if that's what you mean.
If I do the restore, it should just be a matter of
syncing again afterwards to get all of my music back
on the iPod right? Is there a rate chart somewhere
so I can determine how long that will take for the
8GB I have on there so far?
The only other thing I'm wondering if it's worth it
as the problem may come back somewhere down the
road?

Yes, if you restore all you will have to do is re-sync your music/videos/pictures/files back onto your iPod. I doubt that the problem will come back later down the road...

Capacity Utilisation rate = Actual Capacity / Theoritical Capacity
Theoritical Capacity= Shift period * No. of machines available
= 8 hrs * 2 = 16 hrs
Actual Capacity value depends on how the company decides it. Say if the break 30 mins has to be considered, then the actual capacity will be 15 hrs for 2 capacities and hence,
Capacity Utilisation rate = 15 / 16 = 93.8%
So, decide the utilisation rate based on the Company's requiremnt.

Nokia PC Suite 7.1.30.8 is available!!! You can install this pc suite from europe.nokia.com/pcsuite, anyhow from your existing pc suite, if you try to check for updates, it will not show as new update available as it may not be updated yet .....
Kindly do have a backup of all your old pc suites(in case if you feel you should have sticked with existing pc suite itself it will be hard to downgrade) So kindly have a backup of your older pc suites, then if you like to update to the latest one, kindly uninstall files related to Nokia PC Suite as well as PC Connectivity Solution,,,, install latest pc suite and then do reboot your pc and look for newly improved pc suite.... You can view your SMS in Group wise, say, if you want to store only sms received from a person, you can sort using
Open Nokia Communication > View Arrangeby > Show in groups

I had this problem as well but found the soultion on another post from turingtest2 - it worked for me:
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or by right-clicking the downloaded installer and selectingRun as Administrator.

HP Driver "Can't install because it is not available from Software Update Server"

Proplem: Can't use my HP Officejet 6500 E709n on my MacBook Pro, even using USB connection.    I click on sign, get add printer window showing the HP 6500 printer as USB Multifunction. I select and press 'add'. I get 'setting up ...' window. After a while I get the error window, "Can't install the software for the HP Office jet 6500 E709n because it is not currently available from Software Update Server." Only option is cancel.
HP site says that it supports Mountain Lion and the only way to get the driver is through Apple's Software Update.
Apple's site says Mountain Lion supports HP 6500 printer.
The Windows 7 computer on the netword prints fine to it.
I would really like to get this connected. Does anyone have a clue why the driver is not on the Software Update Server what the fix is?

Fantastic, Mene1 & John. Thank you. I deleted the HP Folder, deleted trash, reboot, and reinstalled. USB installed like a charm. Was able to print and scan.   I even noticed that the Fax printer came up for both USB and 192.168.1.65. I installed the fax printer for the network and it works great without USB.
However, the network for the printer never showed up in the list. I tried IP option and entered the address. It correctly identified the printer in the "use" field. However, when I click on 'add' is has a window that says, "Unable to verify the printer on your network. Unable to contact to '192.168.1.65' due to an error. Would you still like to create the printer?"   I choose Continue, and it creates the printer. Printing, it just sits there trying to connect with the printer.    Again, the printer is hardwired into my home network and I am using my AT&T U-verse Wi-Fi connection to my MacBook Pro (which works for Fax on the printer).
Any ideas?

Quick update, the duplicate of the comic-con episode downloaded succesfully, and so has the first episode of Supernatural season 8. Blue dots appear to their left in the library.
All the Vampire Diaries episodes (except the bonus comic-con double) have vanished, but I paid for them !
They're not anywhere on my harddrive either.
Which is new by the way, this is a new MacbookPro, literally set it up today.
So it would seem this is a case of purchased and pseudo-downloaded episodes that ended up beinge gobbled up by some iTunes black hole, leaving me with no money, and no episodes.

I have been having the same issue for the last two weeks. No real indication as to why it ever began other than I had turned off my router and Airport Extreme Base Station off for a weekend while I was away from my place.
iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, all have no issues at all with my Airport Extreme Base Station. Can stay connected throughout my living room, bathroom, bedroom, no issues whatsoever.
My 5 month old MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Core i7 Airport is sometimes perfect, able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue. Then, for no reason, I won't be able to join my wireless network, or when I can join, I can't pick up an IP address. And then it will connect, pick up and IP, and then it won't browse. No real rhyme or reason to when this will happen, or when it works.
I thought that it was an issue with my MacBook Pro, but then my sister visited with her brand new MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo, and while a month ago she was able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue, this weekend she had all of the same issues I was having.
My XBOX 360 and MacBook Pro have absolutely no issues with the wired connection. Only my WAN seems to have this issue.
Did you ever find anything more to this?

Sorry for being unclear.
When I am using the update in the App Store App, there will be a list of various applications that have updates to be installed (Final Cut Pro will be in this list). I will already be logged in with the Apple ID I use for everything (my dev account). I will be able to update all of the other various applications needing updating except for my Final Cut Pro. When I click the update button next to the FCP update, it will give me an error saying "This download is not available for this apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled"
I have not had any applications refunded or cancelled and this has only happened since my update to Yosemite. FCP was working fine until the upgrade. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

HT5958 Existing projects will not update and are not available for Final Cut Pro 10.1.1?

I have updated to Final Cut 10.1.1 but existing projects from previous version will not update and are not available. Have tried to re-install Final Cut as well as bring the projects to another computer which has the update, but they still will not update. Has anyone else encountered this problem and is there anyone who can assist?

In the Finder take a look at the path where your old projects and events are stored. They should be in Final Cut Projects and Final Cut Events folders respectively. Those folders need to be in Users/user/Movies on the boot drive and/or at the root level of other drives for FCPX to see them.
If that's indeed the case, then you should be able to get them updated ny using the Update Projects and Events command form the File menu and then clicking on Locate.

Why is quicksilver not updating available credit after payment?

I paid off my balance on my quicksilver before it's due so that I can keep using it (just got it a couple weeks ago so haven't had a statement yet or anything) and it says my payment is posted. It's not pending anymore. But it still shows that I only have $58.00 available credit instead of the whole amount even though it says I have a 0 balance. What am I missing here?

What Niel said. However, an iPad 1 should not even be aware there are any updates past 5.1.1; where are you seeing this notice, in iTunes?

Available capacity is incorrect (videos are not counted)

I recenly bought an iPod Video 60GB black. The capacity is 55,6 GB. When putting on pictures and songs the available capacity is decreasing as it should. In my case, I have 754 songs and 7907 JPEG picures - a total of approx. 10GB. After that, I put on some 25 DVDs = approx. 20 GB and the total available capacity should now read about 55-10-20= 25GB. BUT the iPod still tells me that I have 45GB of space available!!! In iTunes, the count is correct, i.e. it tells me 25GB available.
Has anyone encountered the same problem??? It might be a software bug.....

According to the Apple web site, you can save space by organizing your playlist as well as the format of the music makes a difference (WMA, AAC, etc). Hope this helps.
