Available HTTP delivery options for Flash Access encrypted content

Dear colleagues,
Could you please clarify available HTTP delivery options for Flash Access encrypted content.
Standard HTTP DS scheme with Apache web server getting chunks of video from segmented with f4fpackager file.
HTTP Progressive Download of encrypted with Flash Access file (non segmented).
Is it possible to use byte range delivery in this case in order to start playback from custom position (seek)?
Are there any pitfalls in this case? Is it required to make encryption blocks aligned with keyframe intervals or something like that?

Thanks for your response, seems though that only the encrypted videos appear to have a problem because when I tried some un-encrypted videos (again from adobe http://drmtest.adobe.com/content/unencrypted/Indesign.f4v ) it played fine.
Maybe is has something to do with the decryption process and the hardware of the mobile phone after all.

You have hotlinked the (jive scn.sap) images in wiki. This is not the correct way to embed images.
The image needs to be first uploaded there(atlassian wiki.scn.sap), and then embed to wiki page.
I believe you are able to see the image because they are hosted on scn.sap, you are logged in, and the images are part of your "draft" space.
When your access issue with wiki is being corrected. also get access to upload images in wiki.
There are tutorials available on how to embed images to new wiki platform.

How to use auto-increment and search option for MS Access DB

I have configured our invoice in Adobe Livecycle and connected it to MS Acess 2007 as per http://forms.stefcameron.com/2006/09/18/connecting-a-form-to-a-database/.
All is working fine, I can insert, retrieve data from DB to invoice and vice versa.
Now I want few things to be implemented on our invoice.
When ever I open our invoice, it populate the first entry from DB, Is it possible to populate the last entry ?
Auto increment invoice number from MS Access DB every time we open our invoice after save.
How to implement search option from DB for invoice number ?
Please let me know if someone can provide me help on my scenario, so that I can share more stuff related to invoice and DB.

As far as I know there is not any auto increment data type in Oracle. Instead of this you should create a sequence and get the next value of the sequence while creating a row in your table.

Best strategy for flash access to an image in a protected folder

hello all,
i'm looking for a good strategy for my swf to be able to load
images in a password protected directory. since flash can't access
a file behind a protected folder i figure i'll use php to get the
image and pass it to flash.
how best to get an image from php to flash since i can't just
send a path to a file and have flash execute a Loader() to retrieve
it since the Loader won't be able to get behind the protected
folder?
is it best to have php send the file binary to flash that
flash will receive via URLLoaderDataFormat.BINARY? is it best to,
at runtime, have php move the requested file from the protected
folder to an unprotected folder and after flash loads it then
delete it from the unprotected folder? maybe it's best to leave the
image folder unprotected and let an .htaccess redirect restrict
outside access to the folder?

The built-in Firefox Sync service allows you to store your settings, including bookmarks, on a Mozilla server. This isn't accessible as a file like Google Drive; it can only be used by connecting another copy of Firefox to your Sync account. The cross-browser Xmarks service is more focused: it just does bookmarks. http://www.xmarks.com/ (I've never tried this one either)
If you prefer working with files and you have a Dropbox or similar account, you could in theory back up your Firefox profile folder, or more particularly, the bookmarkbackups subfolder. I haven't tried that myself. To find the folder:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button
A window should launch showing your currently active settings files. The bookmarkbackups folder should contain dated .json files which can be used to restore your bookmarks to another copy of Firefox.
Alternately, someone might have created an add-on for saving Firefox bookmarks to the cloud another way, but I haven't heard of one.

Jpeg A is not available in format options for redering

Hello everybody , I am using AF CS3 running in a new iMac with the new OS snow leopard, I also have the quicktime pro with all codec and I am trying to render my work. I would like to do that using the compression type Jpeg A. Unfortunately when I go in the render window, to format options and click in compression type, it is missing a lot compressions including the Jpeg A. I was wondering if somebody know how can I fix my problem?? I already had this problem before in another computer. I have fixed that going into the system preferences, in the quicktime icon and allowed it to use the previous codecs. This time there is no quicktime icon in the system preferences!! Does anybody can help me???

I just tested it on a MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.3 and QT Pro 7.6.6 and it worked fine.
To confirm the process:
open terminal window
enter the text
qtdefaults write LegacyCodecsEnabled yes
and press enter/return

How to create installer for flash app where content is distributed by chapter?

hi everyone,
i wanted to create an application installer (per chapter) like the one implemented on the product on this site: http://www.thelandofme.com/ .. can someone pls guide me on this? i have no problem creating flash apps but i'm so lost on making installers , like update installers for the same app.. the idea is that on first installation of my app, other contents are not available until the user downloads it from my site and install it on their pc. and that installer will just update the existing one with the new downloaded content..
i hope i have explained the idea clearly.. i need a guide or advices on how i can make an app like this..

Android AIR with DRM Flash Access 3 (workflow DRM client side) ? HELP

I'm trying to manage DRM encryption for video with Flash Access 3.0 on Air for Android (or mobile device profile). I looked around and haven't found any awnser so far.
I know that Flash Player on Android devices is not supported by Adobe Flash Access, but it seems a bit different on Android AIR application, but where there is some point that I don't understand and I don't find any answer or exemples.
How to manage the DRM API workflow for Android AIR with Framework AIR?
Until now, i made a custom AS3 video playback (like StobeMediaPlayback), and i am trying to play:
an encrypted video ->           http://drmtest.adobe.com/content/anonymous.f4v (encrypted) and its metadata http://drmtest.adobe.com/content/anonymous.f4v.metadata
and a no encrypted video --> http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/Content/unencrypted.f4v on Android device with AIR framework.
What I understand in accordance what i found this this forum, there are some differents workfows to manage DRM :
#1 - FMRMS (Flash Media Rights Management Server) before Flash Access :
     -NetStream.play()
     -NetStream.authenticate()
Adobe said tha that the workflow above is no longer recomanded, as we have Flash Access now
#2 - Flash Access for (Flash Player or AIR desktop):
(without token authentication) anonymous
(with token authentication)
1. Get drm metadata
2. Create DRMContentData class from drm metadata
3. DRMManager.loadVoucher()
4. NetStream.play()

3. Identify from metadata that this video requires authentication
4. Prompt user for credentials and call DRMManager.authenticate()

Both case use DRMManager class in which you can use loadVoucher to apply the DRMContentData object from a DRM-protected media file
#3 - Flash Access 3.0 for (AIR 3.2 mobile device):
But in AIR environnement for mobile device, I don't found any informations toward a workflow for DRM Flash Access. The official documention say that the DRMManager class "it is not supported on mobile devices. You can test for support at run time using the DRMManager.isSupported property" (source: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/net/drm/DRMManage r.html ). For now, when I test my player DRMManager.isSupported, the return is "false".
Is there a way to manage a DRM player for AIR mobile without DRMManager class ? What is the right workfow for this? Or maybe, I mistaken something. I think some people have succeed with DRM implemtnation on AIR mobile...

On my side, i tested other devices like Google Nexus One (Android 2.3.4 + AIR 3.1), HTC Flyer (Android 3.1 + AIR 3.1) and Samsumg Galaxy tab 10.1 (Android 3.2+AIR 3.1), All support very well the DRMManager service.

License for Flash Builder 4.6

Currently I am using the trial version of Flash Builder 4.6 and I would like to purchase the product.
Before doing that, I would like to know if the license, that is given to me, is given only for the development environment or also for the compilation process.
To be more precise:
Do I need a special (and different license) in order to compile my code from the command line?
If I want to use an open source continuous integration tool (for example Jenkins) in order to compile the code, do I need a special license for that?

Ubuntu 11.10, Flash Access and DRM

I'm attempting to play a video download I purchased at a British video-on-demand service called Digital Theatre. The service uses a player which is an AIR application:

DigitalTheatre uses DRM with Flash Access.
I have Ubuntu 11.10 64bit and flash plugin 11. I successfully installed both the latest available Adobe Air version for Linux as well as the player. For Flash Access support, I followed the findings reported in the last post in this thread:

The adobe-flashplugin package and HAL are installed (I also tried the flashplugin-installer from Ubuntu repositories). The test video mentioned in the first post of the thread works fine, and DRM events show no errors. However, when attempting to play the video purchase I get "Unfortunately the playback has failed. You are not authorised to view this production". I can't see anything informative in the Adobe Air install log, and running the player from command line gives no data. Previously I had Arch Linux installed, and there in command line I saw DRM error id 3344.
Attempting to launch the f4v file of the purchase in Firefox, it complains that the following two plugins are missing (and cannot be found in the search):
video/x-gst-fourcc-encv decoder
audio/x-gst-fourcc-enca decoder
I have a 32 bit Ubuntu 11.10 on my netbook, the same version of flashplugin and with HAL installed, and there I can play the video purchase without problem. This would indicate that it's a 64 bit issue, but I'm puzzled as to why it is not working on my 64 bit machine, since the writer in the above thread apparently was able to solve the problem with HAL and adobe-flashplugin and since I can play the test video just fine.

Yes, I have done as instructed. Flash version is 11.1.102.55. I had tried deleting the contents of the NativeCache before. No change.
I am noting that the test player in http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/SVP/SampleVideoPlayer_FP.html# with test video http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/Content/anonymous.f4v also gives the error #3344 but then upates the drm module and the voucher files. However, for whatever reason, the player is unable to update them either in Ubuntu 11.10 or Arch Linux.
For further info, in Arch Linux the player shows "Unfortunately the playback has failed. You are not authorise to view this production" and in command line I see the following:

I used AIR for the GUI and native process for communication with the jar fp access packager.
I was impressed how fast i can develope a GUI for our customer with the latest flash builder. The hard work was to communicate with encoders like rhozet carbon coder on windows and episode on OSX.
I first thought that i need about 2 days for a stable watch folder function, but if you want toDo a stable watch folder with error and retry managment it can steal you maybe more then 2 weeks of your lifetime for developing.
anyway, i record 2 tutorials and i would like to share how to build your DRM pipelines with other encoders or media assets management. The very interesting part is that it seems to possible to pack h.264 encrypted content into .flv. I think some of you know what this means. I got some examples ready, but need to proof more the flv specs if we transmux everyting right.

Add a link to page option with flash animations??

Hello, I see that you have an option for images if you insert an image, you have a link to html page option
But if you insert a flash animation , there is no link option?
as some research i have found that I have to do it i flash itself.
Why did you not create a link option for flash animations? as you have with images, a link option would be great for flash animations also
Is there a code I can do in dreamweaver to link flash animations to a page.

Don't know what phone you use or if what you're seeing is actually Flash, but Apple iDevices don't support Flash. Never have and never will.

Using Flash Access Pro 3.0 ref-implementation tools?

I'm adding DRM support for Flash Access to my company's products. I've just installed a Flash Access Pro 3.0 server with a 90-day Trial license issued 2012.07.26, using the "quick-start guide". The verification step (browsing to http://localhost:8080/flashaccessserver/flashaccess/license/v2) reports "License Server is setup correctly".
I've added the license (.pfx) file path and password to 'Reference Implementation/Command Line Tools/samples/com/adobe/flashaccess/samples/licensegen/GenerateLicense.java', and compiled using "ant -f ./build-samples.xml build", then ran the app as shown below. I've double-checked that the password matches the license file using "using "openssl pkcs12 -info -in my_certificate.pfx". I also tried using the scrambled password, but that issues the error "Unable to load credential from my_certificate.pfx -- possibly wrong password", which seems to indicate that it's successfully using the plaintext password.
Has anyone used GenerateLicense successfully? And if, so, with a Trial license, or a regular license?
What does "Flash Access Professional License server certificate required" mean? Does it means the server is actually not running correctly? Or is there another problem?

I don't know about other things using FileMaker files but if you do use many scripts, I bet that won't be easy…
However, if you can find one somewhere like e-Bay, FMP 5 can read 3 files, works perfectly in Classic and includes installers for 9, X and even Windows on the same disk.
If it matters, I seem to remember the reason my FMP files are now stuck with single-user access instead on networking is that networking late X with Windows requires FMP 6… and presumably, that doesn't much matter.

Flash Access implementation

Hi,
I am presently modifying my video player so that it can play Adobe flash Access protected content.
Is it mandatory for me to use the OSMF component in my video player in-order to play protected content?
Also i have started making a few changes in the player referring to the steps mentioned at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/as3/dev/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7ce3.html
When i tried to play a video for which the authentication method was username/password required,the login fails and nothing happens thereafter.
When i tried playing a video for which authentication method required was Anonymous,i am able to download the voucher and view its contents.
But the video file does not play.None of the DRM errors or Netstatus errors are displayed.The application just freezes there.
What could be reason for this?

Can you verify that your configuration was successful? Please take a look at Step #4 of the "Flash Access Quickstart Guide" (http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashaccess/index.html).
Please pay particular attention to the step describing the usage of Validator.bat and how to validate (via a browser) that your license server was properly set up.
