What are all the services(applications) provided by MDM standard Business Package? Are there any links which clearly states the list of services supported.

Are you asking about the Standard Business content provided by SAP or the Standard Business package?
Standard Business Content:
SAP has provided Std Business content with the MDM 5.5 and 7.1 MDM server.These are nothing by predelivered SAP repoitories archives for different masters like Customer,Material,Vendor,Article,Product,Employee etc.All you have to do is unarchive these rep contents on to your MDM server and then you can work with them .
The Services that they provide are:
- You will get teh entire MDM rep ready to use
- With this comes the XML Schema,Import and Syndication Maps
- Remote systems and ports
- And all such configurations predefined
- So your data modelling work is almost done and you can work with your master data directly on the repositories.

The other thing is the standard Busines Package:
These are the SAP predelivered Content to be used with MDM and other Netweaver components.
- Like for example you have some predelivered sca files and Business contents to work with portal and MDM
- SRM -MDM Buisness content to work with MDM and SRM catalog
- MDM with GDS
etc
The features provided by these business packages is taht it enables easy to connect and use efficient integration between MDM and the other components.

Hi
I need to change the web dynpro component supplied in stanadard business package. These web dynpro component are called from portal Iviews.
Should i make the Z copy of the webdynpro or starightway change to standard business package.
How will it effect during upgrade or modification by SAP

Hi Naresh,
when you create a z copy you must change the business package at least at the point where the WD application is called. So there are two points where SAP modifications will impact your changes.
My suggestion: if you can't avoid using the portal at all, avoid at least making modifications.
In the backend use the enhancement framework in order to be independent of SAP modifications. I put an example in the WD4A book, that shows how to work with the enhancement framework.

Print functionality in MDM Standard Business Packages iViews

Hi Experts,
I have successfully connected MDM repository and EP and created system objects and system aliases and suitable user mapping. Now I am having a page with 5 iViews - Text Search, PickList search, Hierarchy search, Resultset and ItemDetails.
The requirement is to have a print button in the page which when, clicked will generate a user friendly (preferrably a PDF) page and will allow the user to take a print out of the resulting PDF page generated.
I have gone through the following links

To be more specific, I am still not sure how to add a custom button and action to a standard iView - the deployed portal content is not a Web Dynpro application =, although I am not very sure what exactly is it.

Question 1: How to add default search criteria to Search iViews in
MDM Portal Business Package
Ans. You can make use of Named Searches. Open the Data Manager Create a entry in the Named Search table, select the desired Supplier as a search criteria and save the search in the Named Search created and assign this Named Search to the user in MDM Console. Now use this user while performing User Mapping step. This will limit the Records to the search criteria of the named search and whenever you create new records satisfying the search criteria, it will get added to named search automatically.

I tried this in MDM 5.5 SP02, but no luck

Language for Service Map of business packages

Hello All,
I am using service map for Recruiter business package. In the SAP delivered contents the description for the workset/pages ect. which appears over the service map is specifed in french language.
Now when the end users are accessing the service map, the text appears in french only and NOT converted to english.
Is there any configuration needed so that the service map descriptions for the links changes according to the user language settings.
Currently all the users in my landscape are having english as the language set in the UME.

W2 is not available in our ESS Business Package

Hi All,
We are implementing Employee Self Service(ESS 600) to our client, our client needs W2 in our ESS Portal, but i haven't seen any W2 iView in our ESS business Package default iViews, if any body knows how to get w2 in our ESS Business Package through Portal.

Usage of Standard Business Package for Project 50.3

Hi Friends,
We are mplementing Standard Package for Projects 50.3.
SAP R/3 PS as backend for this package.
Does any one have already implemented the same package? If so would appreciate can share their experiences?
Would like to know, how much standard package can be utilized with minimum customisation / enhancing to users requirements.(we are developing entirely the funtionality of CJ20N Transaction in EP)

For SRM 7.0 there are 2 Business Packages available -
- BP for SAP SRM 7.0 - BP SRM 7.0 (Refer notes : 1232945, 1178469, 1178470)
This business package contains content for the following areas:
SAP SRM Core
Harmonized Procurement for SAP ERP & SAP SRM (Procurement Business Package for SAP ERP & SAP SRM)
SAP SRM on One Client in SAP ERP
SAP SRM Procurement for Public Sector
Generic Roles
Control Center User (cc_user)
Roles for Technical Purposes
SRM Portal Toolkit (com.sap.pct.srm.com.ro_srmportaltoolkit)
So I believe - You need to deploy SRM Core, Harmonized etc.

News iviews in business package for CRM

Hi ,
I have uploaded the standard business package for CRM . In the first workset for "Home" the page for "news" has ivews like
1) press releases referring to the path /sapcrmnews/Partnernews/PressReleases
2) partner news referring to the path /sapcrmnews/Partnernews/PartnerNews
3) success stories referring to the path /sapcrmnews/Partnernews/SuccessStories
etc ...
All of these iviews do not display the content and show an error message "Item not found . The item you are attempting to access is not available. Check that the name or link is correct. You might also check whether the associated repository is currently accessible."
When I go to the KM content I can only see the folder /sapcrmnews but the directory structure that these iviews are looking for cannot be located . Should not the directory structure required by these iviews get created automatically when the business package is uploaded ? If not then do we need to manually create the directory structure ? How does the content get displayed in the iviews for the standard business package ?

I could not able to see Imported Business Package

Hi
I am using Standard Business Package for SAP CRM4.0 60.2.3; it is stored in PCD -> Migrated Content
I customized the Business Package and stored the content in my folder and transported the Business Package to Local (on Desktop) and Server (in server: C:\usr\sap\J2E\SYS\global\pcd\Export).
I did not deleted the Standard BP from PCD/Migrated Content
After importing the Customized Business Package from local system i could not able to see the Business Package in PCD.
I could not able to see the Customized BP in PCD.. , Whether that Standard BP should be deleted before Importing
What is the Default location it stores after importing?
Plz help me to solve this issue its very urgent.

For Example In CRM BP there are set of Roles in that i took only Lead Manager Role and Stored that in my folder xyz as Deltalink and i also copied dependent object pertaining to that Role as Delta link.
In Transport Package i added all the dependent object and aswell the Role of Lead Management to that Package.
Before Exporting the Transport Package there is a option called (Include all objects on which the exported objects depend) i checked this option and Id of dependent objects i mensioned as ex: com.xyz
After doing this i transported my BP

Business Package for SAP Best Practices for Enterprise Portal

Hi,
We are implementing EP for ECC 5.0 and we have to web enable some FI transactions like FB50/fb60 etc. We want to use standard business package for this. The only business package that caters this requirement is "Business Package for SAP Best Practices for Enterprise Portal 60.1". When i checked the data source for this business package, the specification is for "SAP R/3 4.6B and above". Does this work for ECC 5.0 as well? In general does the R/3 specific business packages work for ECC versions? Please let me know. Thanks for the help. I promise rewards.

Business Packages for Endusers for CRM 7.0

Hello,
we are using EIC based on CRM 7.0. Now we want to give our endusers which are working on a portal system 7.0 the possibility beside open tickets via mails and via phone also to create tickets directly from the portal. As far as I understood the documentation I can install on the portal a Business Packages. Is there a standard Business Packages, which I can use?

we are now using a webform to let users create tickets. You can find the standard-webform on the crm system under
/sap/bsp/sap/crm_erms_sample. We have created an iview, role in the portal and added this bsp. afterwards we have started to change the standard webform.

There is NO separate BP for Portal specific for SNC (not available in list of business packages by SAP and SNC 7.0 Master Guide)
SAP SNC as Add-On to SAP NetWeaver or SAP SNC as Part of a Full SAP SCM Server Installation
In case of former -
You need the Netweaver Stack of usage type PI / BI based on the requirements.
It is possible to use SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) together with SCM Basis outside of an SCM server installation. (Technically, SAP SNC and SCM Basis are add-ons to SAP NetWeaver.) SCM Basis includes all master data and functions that are cross-application-relevant for several SCM applications. The master data includes, for example, locations and products; the functions include SAP Core Interface for master data integration or the Transport Load Builder.
You can set up in SNC Web UI in web browser mode / SAP Easy Access Menu.

Dear Friends,
Can any one of you please do let us know what is the standard business package for E-Recruitment?
We are using ECC6.0 without any enhancement packages. We are having a addon for E-Recruitment. Name of the addon is SAPK-60014INERECRUIT. We are using EP 7.0.
Do we need to deploy the business package in EP like we do for ESS/MSS or else is it only in R/3?

As per my knowledge there are no SAP provided Busssiness Pakage for eRecruitment,
in our organization we have created the portal content for eRecruitment module,
as we were also not able to get the required bussiness pakages.
