AVC H264 720p60 video with AC-3 asynchronous after exporting as AVCHD using Pre11

Dear community,
I am currently facing a problem concerning asynchronous video and sound after rendering AVC files including H264 codec at 720p60 and AC3 sound as well as multiple stereo tracks.
The video is recorded using Hauppauge Hauppauge HVR-5500HD to record DVB-C.
After editing (only cutting, no effects) and exporting as AVCHD 720p60, vbr 2pass, I get gradually increasing asynchronity. Some exports are at the beginning perfecty synchronous and get more and more asynchronous (until reaching a peak of approximately 5 minutes delay of video at a 2 hours export), others have the delay at the beginning and are perfecly synchronous at the end.
However, that issue doesn't occur with all souce files, only with some random ones! (Unfortunately the most!)
Here is the output of the souce video using MediaInfo (1 example out of many similar ones):

I think there could be a problem with the pre-settings!
As i did buy PrE11 only for editing this and similar videos I would be very pleased if someone could help me solve my issue.
(Please don't tell me that I should buy Adobe Premiere Pro or any other version as them are much too expensive for my purpose and as PrE11 should be capable to do that job.)
Best regards

Just tested your suggested codecs. Works fine (at least on a 51s clip).
Only disadvantage: WinTV v7 (shipped with the TV card) refuses to show any image (just black screen)!

From your question, you appear to be working with Premiere Elements 12. On what computer operating system are you running Premiere Elements 12, and have you updated from 12 to 12.1 yet. Please see the opened project's Help Menu/Update.
When you say share a video with Adobe Revel, are you referring specifically to taking your Premiere Elements 12 Timeline content through its Publish+Share/Private Web Album export choice or to some aspects of Adobe Revel in the Elements Organizer 12 that comes with Premiere Elements 12?
Please review the details and comments in my blog post on the topic of Adobe Revel features in Premiere Elements 12.

  • Premiere Elements 7 issues with slow playback, also after exporting

    Everyone,
I recently bought Premiere Elements 7 and I am running it on a sufficient computer (Dual core 2.4Ghz, 4 gigs of ram, 8800GTX gfx card).
This all runs on Windows XP, but when I put the video files in Elements. Premiere just plays back slowly.
Everything seems to move in slow motion.
Also after exporting, the video is in slow motion.
The audio on the other hand works fine.
The video files are .MP4 coming from a Sanyo Xacti HD1000 camcorder.

Thanks for your reply Grisetti, the funny thing is actually I also tried to work with the files on an Octo core which also didn't work.
Nevertheless, because that after exporting, so basically rendering, it is also out of sync and playing in slow motion. This is weird because no matter how fast or slow the computer, after rendering it shouldn't matter in the result.
The files are not AVCHD, they are already stored as MP4 files directly on the memorycard of the camera, and can just be copied and pasted onto the computer using a card reader.

  • Trouble with photos looking different after exporting to LR5

I am new to lightroom 5.  My photos do not look the same after exporting to CD or to a photo lab for printing.  I am exporting to my hard drive before burning to CD.  Can someone help?  I am starting with RAW or CR2 files before editing.

What export settings are you using. For jpegs I always choose color space as sRGB (unless the printer requests Argb) and then I set print  size, with resolution between 240 and 300 ppi. For glossy paper I choose a high sharpening setting.
It’s also possible to print a whole batch to jpeg files using the Print Module (see image below). You can then set an output value for brightening and contrast.
This can be useful as many people using uncalibrated monitors often find prints look darker than shown on their PC. When using for the first time it’s well worthwhile doing a test batch using different settings to see which gives you the best results.

  • Audio/Video slightly out of sync after exporting media and trying to watch on iPhone

    Hey adobe tech heads
So, I recently upgraded to the new Adobe Premiere Pro CC, from Premiere Pro and I have to say that there doesnt seem to be any difference to the normal functionalites. While I am merely a beginner, i suppose there are more complex features that i have yet to discover.
But let me get to the point of this discussion. I have been making a few fun videos for friends of mine of their childrens birthday parties and such. I have a Nikon D3200 which is a 24 megapixel camera for images and have been shooting 1080p for the video, which i think uses 25 frames per second. (Dont quote me on that one as i am still learning all this techno-jargon). I was, in the beginning, having a slight issue with choosing the correct sequence settings in the beginning, but eventually managed to figure out that for my Nikon, i was choosing the DSLR, 1080p, 25fps option. So far, all seemed to work well, everything synced up, rendering the files often, and creating a fun memory for the parents, of their childs birthday party.
Then is comes to exporting. I would just select "Media" and then "Export" which would bring up the Export Settings Menu. I would simply press the Queue button, and then in in the Queue section, i could choose to make a video file typically for Youtube in HD. Before posting this discussion, I did a quick youtube search, so not to waste all your time, and found this link of this guy who not only showed me that i dont need to Queue it up, and can direclty select Youtube HD from the Export Settings menu which i will try, but he also confused the #%^&$(*& out of me with all his bitrate settings talk (this part starts around the 3min and 32secs mark into his youtube tutorial) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2j5dnlDmos  (The reason I am showing you this is because now, i am not sure if this is what may cause my slow phone/tablet issue)
So here is my problem - Once i edit and export the file into the youtube 1080 25fps HD option, I open this new exported file on my pc and it works fine, perfectly synced and ready to share. Once i have uploaded it to Vimeo, which is my preferred social media network, it uploads fine, and on any normal pc/laptop, there is no problem and it runs just as smoothly as when it was edited. Although i noticed that the video seems to be playing at about half a second behind the audio when trying to show someone on any iPad/tablet or any mobile phone. I recently made this clip as a tester and to be able to show you awesome braniacs, because its kinda pissing me right off, that the video isnt perfectly syncing into the audio on the phones and tablets, but works just fine on a PC/Mac. I specifically made a point to match the images up to the beats of the songs, and if you watch where the little kid climbs up the indoor rockclimbing wall, this might help you understand my frustration. check the below link on your pc/mac, and then again on your phone and you will see what i mean. I even played them simutaneously together and you can see the delayed video on the phone/tablet than on the PC/Mac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated on how to fix this, as while its doing my head in, i am sure for you guys, a simply change on my lack of tech knowlege, will probably have us all smiling! Here is the clip -   https://vimeo.com/7105289
Thank guys. I look forward to your replies

First of all, when you export, you should see the dialog box that has information about the source video as well as the export. If you are shooting 25fps then you are not in the USA. If you are in the USA, look harder at your export settings.
But that isn't the problem you are facing.
Are you using the Vimeo app to play the videos on the iPad or are you just playing it in a browser? Use the app if you aren't now doing so.
I doubt that you are using anything other than AAC for your audio from what you have said about using the presets, but I have to ask. You are using AAC, right? That is what Vimeo prefers.
Have you tried turning the HD off in Vimeo to see if that clears up the problem? That will probably be fine on a smartphone. An iPad might see the difference though.
You are not going to be happy reading this Vimeo.com thread, but here it is anyway.
I don't even know what to make of this one.
In any case, you will read for yourself that you may want to change browsers on the mobile device.

  • Premiere Pro CC: audio and video is out of sync after export

Hi folks! I downloaded trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Captured gameplay with bandicam in Motion Jpeg Format (as advised) 30 fps and made a 40 minutes lenght clip. But there is an issue: in my project audio is synchronized with video, but when i export - it's lost (and i think to further we watch video, the bigger is the synch gape between audio and video, in increases gradually). I tried various formats, tried to use option "delete rendered files" prior to export, tried "match source" option, tried to choose various drives for exporting - nothing helps.
Help, how to solve this problem?

Handbrake is a free-download program that takes variable-frame-rate footage and converts it to constant frame-rate. VFR to CFR, if you will.
Going back to your reply to my first post, you noted there had been some kind of "hardlimit" to 30fps that you hadn't chosen. I'm guessing that would have made this track CFR, and what you've got instead is VFR. So you might try recording another bit after selecting that setting to hardlimit the frame-rate, and see if it works better through PrPro to export.
Next ... so, you've got a 30fps probably VFR video track, and it appears a WAV file is your audio ... was that produced by the Bandicam program while it was recording your program? Or is it from another source and you pasted it into your sequence?

  • Help with stuttering/jittering problem AFTER export

    Hi all,
I'll describe the problem, then the solutions I've tried. First, my system is a Dell Precision 690 3.0Ghz dual core, 2Gb ram, win XP pro service pack 3, Premiere CS4. I also updated to the latest nVidia drivers (8 Jan 09, ver 181.20) which fixed a separate crashing problem with CS4.
Here's the problem. My video in the timeline previews perfectly. No jittering, stuttering, or flickering. When I export my video, I always get some scenes jitter or stutter (the action in the scene jumps around back and forth). This generally occurs in the same places of a scene. I don't have any stills or freeze frames.
I've read some of the forum threads on flicker and stutter, but they mainly apply to a frozen frame, or picture. I've played with the following with no effect: anti-flicker, gaussian blur, increasing my bit rate, exporting to different formats (mpeg1, avi, wmv).
My frame rate is 29.97 drop frame. It wouldn't allow me to change my field order. Other settings are NTSC, multiplexer (Mpeg1) (I'm not sure what that does), multiplexer bit rate=variable, video bit rate tried at CBR= 3.0Mbps, and VBR1 (min=1, avg=3,max=4.5).
This is driving me crazy as my timeline preview is perfect. Please help!!!
Thanks very much in advance! Also, is CS3 less problematic than CS4?
    RickyRoma

    Ricky:
The successful export was based on a time consuming troubleshooting work-around.
This was a corporate video that was played at a fairly large meeting. Several months later other departments of the company wanted to use the same video, but with some shot changes that are relevant to their departments. In the meantime, we upgraded to CS4 and had to open the CS3 project with CS4 (We uninstalled CS3).
I narrowed down the jitter problem to a graduating Gaussian blur added to a PSD on Video layer 1 that had an image above it on Video layer 2 with a transparent background. Gaussian blur and fast blur cause unacceptable image shake when the timeline is rendered and the shaking exists in the exported AVI. Fortunately, I was able to overlay segments of the original CS3 exported avi over the shaking areas in the new CS4 project because those areas were not changed.
The overlay presented yet another minor problem. The aspect ratio of a widescreen NTSC video exported from CS3 is about 8 pixels wider than that exported from CS4. So I had to stretch the old CS3 overlayed avi segments to a place on the timeline where the aspect ratio change was not detectable.
*It is possible that one of the editors stretched the width of the CS3 avi. One person in the forum did confirm though that CS3 exported avi's with a slightly wider aspect ratio than CS4.
We had a few other weird problems with this converted from CS3, CS4 project:
1.) Certain still image transitions failed to work. They would appear normal until rendered. The exported avi would be missing the transitions.
I found a workaround... For whatever reason hitting the "reset" icon in the Effects Control pallet (keyframe added) fixed the missing transition problem.
2.) Some timelapse, scaled down P2 1080i footage on the timeline exported with an odd unintended effect. The sky with clouds would hold a few frames, then jump ahead. Kind of a stop-start effect that was not in the original footage.
    Didn't find a work-around.
3.) A still image at the end of the video shook violently in the export.
I fixed that by being able to overlay the original CS3 avi over this area.

  • Reporting Services with out national character after export to PDF

    Hello,
According to your description, it is contains non-English characters in your report. This problem occurs because the glyph IDs for some non-English characters have changed in some font files.
In Cumulative Update #1 for SQL Server 2008 is automatic full font embedding and subsetting for Unicode characters in Reporting Services 2008 PDF rendering. Please update SSRS 2008 to SSRS 2008 CU1 to resolve the issue.
There is a KB article about Incorrect characters appear in a SQL Server Reporting Services report after you export it to a PDF file, you can refer to it.

  • Problem with depositioned picture boxes after export or printing

I have created a template with 20 boxes (4x5) defined as placeholders for pictures. The alignment and margins between the boxes are set to be exactly equal (it's one millimetre actually). On the screen of my MBP everything looks good. But when I print or export the file the margins start to vary. What is to be done? I have tried grouping, but it doesn't help.
    Thanks for your support!

Changing the unit is not sufficient, it would be useful to check if the picts are really given the same coordinates.
Working with mm may give differences in these coordinates.
You may compress a sample document as a zip archive, attach this one to a mail and send them to my mailbox.
Click my bluename to get my address.
I would be able to look in the beast and, maybe, discover the wrongdoer.

  • Post ios5 update -- videos for ipad2 wont start after adding album art using get info

this never happened w ios4. before, i could manually add posters on my movies using get info. but now, everytime i add posters the movie wont start. i wanna enjoy my movie playlist complete with movie posters/ cover art. do you experience the same prob?

Just added new art to two albums in iTunes v7. One the old way (Google Images then a drag and drop) and the other asking iTunes to get it for me. Only the art that was added manually has moved over to the iPod, which is 5th Generation 30GB.
It's not the worst thing in the world seems as I never had that art before anyways. I'm sure an update will be out soon it is a .0 release and I imagine they is lots of things under the hoot getting us ready for OS X 10.5.

  • Can I turn greenscreen video into video with transparent background (instead of default black backgr

Can I turn greenscreen video into video with transparent background to  overlay on another video in another program.  probably export as avi.     I know I can in after effects  but comfortable with premiere.   basically want to turn the greenscreen from a black to transparent background  ppro cs6     windows
[ email address removed by forum host ]

Harm is correct. It would be better to edit in the program where you keyed out the green. However, if you really must ...
DPX is one file per frame. While you may not be able to open it from Windows, it is only because Windwos has not been told to open them in Photoshop.
The whole point of the DPX file is to have a visually lossless storage of your frames that is designed to be used between applications (just what you want to do): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Picture_Exchange
However, if you prefer to use another option that you are more comfortable with, you can use PNG.
    Or...
If you insist on a single video, use the Animation codec for Quicktime.
In any case, you need a picture format or video CODEC that can store an Alpha Channel.
    Or.....
Export the video with the black and use a Luma key in the next application.
    Or ...
Export the video with the black, and then export a video of just the alpha channel as a blabk and white image where black is transparent when used as a track matte, and then in the next application use the video of the alpha channel as a track matte.
Since you haven't said what the other application is or why you want to use it, we are having a little trouble offering a specific solution.

  • DV export problems with grid line noise on export

On exporting in Premier Pro CC I am seeing faint grid lines across the whole picture that are not in the project timeline or the source clips - in other words looks fine in the project but not when exported out. Looks a bit like moire pattern but much more regular dotted box pattern about 5-10 pixel regular box size across whole image in grid - very odd. The noise pattern is not on the source or from camera chip I don't think - although that's what it looks like when sharpness is too hard on camera settings or chip structure bleeds through.
Have been using sharp filter and preset colour balances but as I say look OK in timeline but not after export. Tried using with and without high quality render  - no difference.
I am using DV25 as the export format and I am working on a high end Mac Pro with the latest version of CC.
Very frustrating issue as ruins quality of output - any thoughts gratefully received!

    Hi Jim,
I have viewed in Quicktime 10 and in Final Cut 7 (where I sometimes go back to to use the Neat Video plug-in for noise reduction)

  • Quicktime 7.6.4 won't play h264 encoded videos on my 10.4.11 MacMini

    Hello:
This is my first post. I read through the forums and this seems to be the correct place to pose my question. If it's not, my apologizes.
I'm trying to find out why Quicktime 7.6.4 won't play h264-encoded video on my MacMini (G4 PPC). I'm running 10.4.11. I recently installed Perian 1.2.1 and it got some .avi files to play correctly, whereas before there was no sound. But the h264 files still get me a black screen, albeit with sound now. Some h264 files can be played in VLC Media Player (but that's a horrible player compared to Quicktime in my opinion, as it constantly drops frames and eats 100% of my processor time), but VLC even has the black screen problem on some h264 files as well.
I've also tried MPlayer OSX but that's really an alpha-type development and has a lot of bugs. Many movies it can't even open.
Sorry for the rambling, but again my question: Is there any way to play h264-encoded video in Quicktime 7.6.4 on my Mac?
Thanks in advance for your expertise and advice.

    Mr Ram,
There is a group of Quicktime specialists in Apple.com ⇒ Support ⇒ Discussions ⇒ Quicktime .
The more data you give us, the easier it is to help us help you to diagnose your problem. Your disk space would be very useful. Contrary to some, I advocate iDefrag to assist VLC and MPlayer, which you were a little hard on.
    GNU/Linux's free offerings
MPlayer was developed a decade ago, and I prefer it for viewing DVDs (for 'DVD Player') seems too dark. VLC (legally) copies many CRM-protected DVDs of yours, so you can play only the burned copy. When I'm having a problem playing a DVD, the VLC log tells me all: only perfect DVDs play well on VLC.
There are two ways of viewing everything.
    Streaming MPEG-4
+H.264/MPEG-4 AVC+ is a fancy codec based upon MPEG-4: it requires a powerful processor to de-compress it. I watched an MPEG-4 movie from a G3 iBook in 2005. It played flawlessly.
    Your Problem
Quicktime 7.X applications can not play +H.264/MPEG-4 AVC+ streams. It was a bug Apple never fixed. Frames are dropped because H.264 is so slow that it requires special hardware. You, I'm sad to say, don't have it.
To quote the Wikipedia on Quicktime: 'QuickTime 7 lacks support for H.264's Sample Aspect Ratio .[67] QuickTime X does not have this limitation; many Apple products (such as iTunes and Apple TV) still use the older QuickTime 7 engine.'
My Quicktime Pro on a PPC PowerBook is 7.6.4. You can either use a Linux transplant or upgrade to Quicktime X. Those more familiar with Macs may have better ideas for you.
    My best,
    Bruce

  • Colors are screwed up after export / import h264/avc

Assume we have created some raw colors with AE. And exported the file with h264/avc codec (see the picture).
I understand that exporting with chroma 4:2:0 can change the colors a little. It's ok. We play the file with local video player, RGB values are 1-2% away from original, it's not critical.
But what I don't understand is - why re-encoding the file to h.264/avc with Adobe Media Encoder as standalone application leaves all the colors 100% correct, but if I will import the file to Premiere or AE, colors are visibly screwed up?
Then export composition to h264/avc with the same settings as stand alone encoder and the colors are screwed up one more time by 1-2%!
Am I doing something wrong? How to keep the colors when importing?

Either the good old H.264 Gamma problem or simple quantization errors which you might probably avoid by working in 16bpc or 32bpc. Also keep in mind that AE can use color management and you may already see those differences when setting the comp viewer proofing to you monitor profile. Generally, though, such color issues are extremely difficult to track down. Things like your graphics hardware's acceleration features, VLCs selected decode method, color profiles and other color tweaks can influence this, both in mere perception of colors as well as actually skewing them. Start by working in higher bit-depths when re-importing files into AE and tippi-toe your way to the aforementioned color management stuff and so on...

  • No video with supported formate and mime type found

I am able to view videos on all but 1 website: http://www.start-american-sign-language.com/free-sign-language-asl1.html
When I view that page, the video box only shows the x with "no video with supported formate and mime type found" being displayed.
I have updated to the most recent palemoon (25.3.0) and have the following plugins installed
    DRM 9.0.0.4503
    Shockwave flash 16.0.0.305
    Silverlight 5.1.30514.0
    VLC Web Plugin 2.2.0.0
Windows media Player Dynamic Link LIbrary 3.0.2.629
I have cleared my cache and cookies, and am unable to view the video in question. If I go to https://www.youtube.com/html5, it indicates that I have an operable Webelement player and Web VP8, and all others are exclamation points.
Does anyone know why I can't watch the (mp4) video(s) in question? I have turned up no viable solutions using the forums or google.
    Thanks!

This happens when there is no support in your Windows XP version to play any of the media file formats that the website offers with the HTML5 media player (i.e. not a Flash player is used, but a video tag).
That are MP4 files with type="video/mp4"
    *VLC shows: Codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)
You might be out of luck on Windows XP and your only option would be to use an external media player and paste the links in its location field.
