AVCaptureMovieFileOutput for record video

Hello all,
I am using AVCaptureMovieFileOutput for record video. Now i want to crop that video. For that i used AVCaptureVideoPreviewLayer & set frame. but recorded video is not crop.
Thank you...

Do you mean you want to use the iPod as an audio recorder?
Currently it is not possible as there are no compatible microphones.
There are a few in the works by other companies, but as of yet, they have no firm release date (Spring).

  • What wireless microphone works best with ipad for recording videos

I am wanting to purchase a wireless microphone for recording videos with my ipad version 8.2. Do anyone have a suggestion?

    Hi gentleone,
You likely have polarized sunglasses. If you turn your iPad from portrait to landscape (or vice versa) you'll be able to see your screen. I've experienced that with my sunglasses... The workaround to rotate it 90 degrees works for me
    Hope this answers your question!

  • Software for recording video with built in i-sight for new macbooks mbp?

Does any software exist that will allow a macbook or a macbook pro user to record video with their built in isight camera at the top of the screen? If so, let me know. I need to document countless hours of reading the forums...

iMovie will allow you to record from your built in iSight as well.
Lastly, Conference Recorder will allow you to record iChat video conversations. It can be found here: http://www.ecamm.com/mac/conferencerecorder/

  • Sound for recording video and audio not working

I have tried everything to get the sound to work.  I have reinstalled the audio driver.  When I go to soundrecording.exe to see if I can record sound it gives me a message "An audio recording device cannot be found."  Please help this is driving me crazy.

well, since people can hear you on a call, it's not a hardware problem with the microphone.
It appears to be something wrong with your recording apps -- the camera (in the case of video) and whatsapp.
    First attempt would be to:
    a) install another camera app with video capability and see if IT will record audio. and
    b) uninstall and reinstall whatsapp to see if that fixes the problem.
If that doesn't work, to a backup, then try a hard reset and re-install the apps one by one, confirming that recording works after each install.

  • Quicktime Pro recording video - dimensions presets

It appears that the QT Pro presets for recording video (all two options) depend in part on what maching you're using it on -
On my G5, the videos recorded are 320 X 240, which is fine for my purposes... but on my Powerbook (with which I'll be doing the actual recording), the videos are 240 X 180, which is too small for my purposes.
Has anyone discovered a way to change these settings? Or to "fool" QT Pro into thinking it's on a different machine so that it will allow for larger dimensions?
Failing that - any suggestions for other software to record 3-4 hour meetings using an iSight and a Powerbook? (I've tried BTV, but can't get the file size to quality ratio anywhere near as good as QT Pro, and BTV seems to create huge swap files or something that make several hours of recording impossible).
    G5 Dual 2Ghz; 12 AlBook; iPod 3rd Gen   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

Thanks, QuickTimeKirk... I've got SnapzPro and gave it a shot, having it record the QT Pro record window (without having QT record, of course)... but one of the things I like about using QT Pro itself is that it appears to do the capture and the compression all at once -- i.e. no post-processing needed. This is ideal because the plan is to copy the movie to a USB thumb drive for the client at the end of the session; waiting for a 3 hour video to save and convert/compress won't work (hence something like iVezeen, while good, won't do).
Anyway, I have managed to change the dimensions via the .plist file that applies to my Powerbook. The next thing I want to try to change (if possible) is the framerate - it doesn't really need to be as high as it is for our purposes, and would cut down size (and processing cpu usage?) if I could reduce it to 15 or 20fps. I can't find that setting anywhere in the .plist files though.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Scott

  • Audio from a recorded video

I record a video with my playbook and the only audio is pulsating static. My son's playbook is doing the same thing. Restarting it doesn't help. How do we fix this?

    Hello tdmjesmom,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.
Thank you for your question regarding static audio for recorded video on your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.
Does this occur on any newly recorded video? Have you also tried powering the device off and back on by holding the red power button for 10-15 seconds?

  • Batt life for recording  ?

How long does the Batt life last for recording video on the new Nano.
And are there any limitations to file sizes on the video ie 4gb +
    Ta
    Tom

i've tested long file recording and didn t make it to 2 gb.
I ve managed 1,6 before video stopped recording. I use the nano to film running sessions (and races) and got about 1h28 on average.
I wonder if anyone has managed to start recording video from apple remote control (from apple in-hear headphones for instance)? it would be then easy to break up sessions and later get the whole event.
I put the ipod on video record and then switch the HOLD button to avoid stopping the recording but I'd like to manage all event (like a marathon) without having to remove my headband (with nano attached as third eye)

    Welcome to Discussions, Sandolini
In addition to the info that Ralph has already provided, I offer one additional thought.
Ralph is my guru on iChat, so I am sure he can correct me if I am mistaken, but I believe that iChat 4 (the one in your posted Mac OS X 10.5.8 system info) adjusts camera frame rates and possibly video window size based on connection and processor speeds. I also seem to recall that the maximum video size for iChat 4 is 320x240.
iChat 4's video size/quality decisions are made based on the info from both ends of the video connection. If I am correct, different users could, therefore, experience different video data capture rates, possibly even when connecting to different chat contacts. These capture rates translate directly into different file sizes for recorded videos. In any case, most iChat 4 recordings (maximum size of 320x240) are likely to be considerably smaller (at least one-fourth to one-third smaller) than the 640x480 video iMovie captures from external iSight.
My suggestion is that you record a one minute test, if possible with the same video chat connection. If recording success will be a critical, one-opportunity-only event, you may wish to make several one minute tests to see if there is enough variability that you must account for it. Once you know the file size for a one minute recording, you can calculate ninety times that to find the maximum estimated space required for your ninety minute recording.
When determining your needed space, be sure you leave the extra space Ralph recommends.

  • I am after using my ipad for 2-3 hours to record video, it will be while traveling so I could do with being able to set it up so it just records while I drive. Is this possible?

Hello as stated I wondered if there is an app that I could use to record a journey that I will make, it will take aprox 3 hours I can charge my ipad up as I go so battery life is not a problem and I have quite a bit of room on my I pad. Is it possible?

Sure why not. The camera app will record videos and there are car chargers for the iPad that you can purchase. You will need some sort of stand to place the iPad into, but those are available as well. You might need to adapt the out of the box car stands to face in the direction that you want, but there are lots of them out there.
You should set the iPad to not go to sleep in Settings>General>Auto Lock>Never until you are done recording.

  • Mac Book Pro 13" LPTP-Photo Booth Recorded Video File won't find my video/movie that I recently recorded from Sun 9-1-13. Is there a way I can retrieve the files under the Time Machine or will I need to download something for iPhoto Booth?

I have been having the most difficult times with the use of iPhoto Booth for recording movie files of church services. It seems if I make a rename on the files, for some odd reason, I cannot find it in any of my Files Folders in Finder. I need to know is there a more simple way to retrieve movie files thru iPhoto Booth or is there something I may can download to fix this issue? Also, is there a way the videos can be flipped around to not a mirror image, but to a reverse camera? Please anyone who recognizes this problem, contact me ASAP. Thank you for your support!

You used the data.  Verizon can not see what it was sued for.  However your phone can see whats apps used the data.  go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle.  line the dates up with your cycle.  then there will be a bar graph below that   extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right.  after those are extended below that will be a list of apps,  there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

  • I work for a teaching hospital. We are using groups of 20 to 30 iPads for access to patient electronic records, video conferencing software, and other, HIPPA compliant apps. I need to be able to access the iPads to shut down and erase in case of loss.

I work for a teaching hospital. I have started a program to place Physicians and key support personnel on iPads for electonic medical records, video conferencing software, and other HIPPA compliant issue. I have a need to have one central program that can push out updates, other information, but most importantly, can erase the iPad in cases of loss or stolen. Can anyone direct me to such software.

The Mac mini does have somewhat powerful specs at top end.
Mac mini with OS X Server features a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor that delivers incredible speed and performance, thanks to innovations like Turbo Boost 2.0, Hyper-Threading, and an integrated memory controller. Add in 6MB of L3 cache, and you’ll find that Mac mini with OS X Server is packed with power.
