AVCHD long & transfer - juddering in viewer screen
I have no problems to get my AVCHD files in my Log & Transfer window in FCP 6, also I can preview them in the L&T viewer. However as soon as they are transferred and transcoded to ProRes the footage is juddering in the viewer screen.
Any idea what is going wrong? I have tried different 'easy setting' settings but without success.
I have burned the material on DVD but the same juddering appears on the TV as well.

Thank you for your reply, but could you be a little bit more specific (pardon my ignorance), you mean open the Quicktime file in finder?, I cannot find properties, the menu gives me preferences etc.
My apologies, I am just trying to get to grips with FCP and just found out that my .mov are juddering as well. What am I doing wrong?

This is my first new apple product. The viewing screen on my laptop has three long cracks along the sides and I have no idea why!

I can no longer get the column view since installing 12.0.1.26.
I can no longer get the column view since installing 12.0.1.26. The only thing my iTunes for PC will not display the column view of songs any more The only thing I have access to is the view that displays the album covers. I used the Help function, followed the procedure several times. When I click on the music icon, the icon flashes, but does not bring up a menu as shown in the "help" file.
1) reset the iPad. Hold power home button until screen goes black, apple logo appears-release
2) delete the app, reinstall.
3) wait for an update to the app -
With the new Yosemite update (10.10.3) I can no longer transfer my photographs into Adobe

My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
Anyways I digress.
So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

Intensive video games can cause some heating, but if it's just a video showing it shouldn't be a problem. An iPad 3 or iPad 4 is more likely to heat than the iPad 1 or iPad 2 due to the retina display.
Do you have to view the display the whole 8 hours? You may want to lower the screen brightness.
You will probably have to keep the iPad plugged into the wall charger.

Imovie viewer screen has no picture
The imovie viewer screen has no picture. Pressing the space bar does nothing. The bar in the thumb nails moves and the audio is working. Just no picture. On a Mac OS X 10.6.8. imovie 9.0.4. This is the first time I've used imovie. Downloading vieos for fun.
As long as the transparency is working the ratio doesn't seem to be an issue. Sorry I don't know about the circle pointer rather than another pointer.
You can create a transparent png file in Preview. Preview doesn't create new blank files so you want to start with a screenshot.
First go to iMovie and do CMD-Shift-4. You will see a crosshair cursor. You can release the CMD-shift-4 now. Now drag the crosshair cursor to select just the viewer of your iMovie project (this will give you the correct height/width ratio). While still holding down the mouse press the Control key and release.
Holding down the Control key while releasing the mouse copies the screenshot to the Clipboard.
Now go to Preview. Go to File and select New from Clipboard (or press CMD-N). This will look like a screenshot of a frame of your movie. CMD-A to select all and then press delete. Now you have a blank, transparent canvas to work with.
Click the Edit button to show the Edit tools. Click the line button on the toolbar to add an arrow, adjusting the color and line width to your liking.
File > Export. Export the file as a png file. Alpha should be checked.

I notice a line that comes and fades on the view screen of my Zen Touch. Is this the sign of a faulty player? It's been happening for weeks.
You may have a problem with the video chip.
Here is how to tell...
Shutdown your machine. Hold down the shift key. Poweron. Bootup will be longer.
Wait awhile while you harddrive is being checked.

Running in Safe mode leaves out some video drivers. Which results in your machine not using advanced video hardware. As luck would have it, you can run the safe mode video drivers in normal mode.

There is nothing in your two previous posts to suggest you have been using FCP for a long time, in fact, the language you used indicates the opposite. Your use of the term "programme" suggests there is a translation issue which is not m problem, it's yours. All I can do is attempt to get you clarify what you're really trying to do.
You're not happy? Push the report button. One does not acheive the status of being a Level 7 participant around here without upsetting a few people along the way.

I have a new ipod shuffle but can't see where I can see what album I am playing as it doesn't have a viewing screen, it has a solid front and back with a circle with the various forward and back and volume controls.I am missing something!
What you see is what you get. The shuffle is a compact unit designed to play tracks at random from the selection you put on it. It isn't possible to search out and play specific tracks, nor get visual feedback of what is currently playing. You can have the device give feedback by VoiceOver if that is of any use to you.

I have had a 3GS for 2+ years. After upgrading to IOS 4 (now 4.3.5) I began having problems. In the past week, my screen went to the itunes logo and USB cable twice -- unprovoked -- just found it sitting there like that! I connected to itunes and it did restore from a backup but it is a major inconvenience. I am also searching for answers, but better back-up regularly!

How can I see the "attachment" icon in my inbox viewing screen?
All I want is to see which emails in my Inbox have attachments included in them. However, there is no icon in the Inbox viewing screen. I can only see it after I've opened email. Does anyone have any advice on what customization I can use for this problem?

Try going to the menu bar in Mail, click on View/Columns, make sure that Attachments is checked (click it) It should put a column with a papper clip icon at the top of your in box. -

After lollypop upgrade I can no longer transfer files from LGg3 to windows8 computer using USB charge cord. Can I roll back to Kittcat?
That is definitely odd, grantcool. Let's help restore this important data transfer feature. To confirm, when you connect the USB cable to your phone and computer > Pull down the Notification Bar > Select USB Connected > Can you choose Media Sync (MTP) ?
