Avchd to dvd creator iorgsoft

Bought this yesterday - it won't let me do anything! It talks about a registration code on its support pages but I didn't get one from the App Store - I was just sent an order id which is useless.
It's a new version (2.0.2) which again does not appear on their support page.
My MacBook Pro is OSX 10.7.5
Any help greatly appreciated!

MAS versions of apps do not require serial numbers, registration codes, etc.

I am trying to find an app or software to burn iMovie 11 slideshow to a dvd.  I have a MacBook Pro with Mavericks.  There are a lot of DVD Creator apps at the App store. Looking for a recommendation of what to use and tips. Thank you.

I've been using "Burn" for years and it has been the only DVD burning software I have ever used for the mac. I have never needed to look at other apps. Unless you want something that has more bells and whistles such as Roxio's "Toast" : http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/toast/pro/overview.html
There are thousands of quality free apps out there for the mac that are not part of the App Store. All you have to do is read reviews online, do a little search, the Apple forums are full of recommendations from experienced users that have been here for years...

  • 16:9 export converts to 4:3 in DVD Creator

Please help!  I've run out of options.
I have created a 1-hour home video using the latest version of Final Cut Pro X ( Version 10.0.7).  All of the video was shot in 720 X 480 and I used the 16:9 format when I created my project.  I used the H264 codec selection when exporting my video to a .m4v format because otherwise I get a file that is close to 50 GB in size.  I saved the file to my desktop and it plays perfectly inside of Quicktime (Version 10.2) in a 16:9 format.
What I want to do is import that video into some type of DVD creator so that I can create menus and chapter selections with backgroud music etc.  Unfortunately, each time I try to do this the DVD creation software puts the video into a 4:3 format. I have tried using iDVD (my old standby with iMovie) and DVD Creator for Mac by Aimerisoft with the same results.  Since I am getting the same results from different DVD burning programs, I must be exporting the file incorrectly or it is some type of FCPX issue.
I have read on other forums that the exported file may not contain the metadata that these DVD creation programs need to display the video properly.  I have tried going through the instructions at this link (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2179), but this workflow does not work.
    I am using a 15" MacBook Pro running OSX Version 10.8.2.  I have a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi Luis,
Just for some background information, I was given a 16 GB SD card with video files in a .mpg format.  Here is the original file information:
I converted these clips to a .m4v format using VidConvert and deinterlaced them at the same time.  Here is the information for the files that I imported in FCPX:
Here are the settings for my project:
I have blacked out certain portions to protect people's names.
Any solutions to the loss of quality by exporting from FCPX using the DV codec is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • AVCHD to DVD revisited

I am shooting 1080i 29.97 AVCHD footage using the Sony NX5U.  I have followed the advice in this video for converting the footage to MPEG-2 for DVD authoring, but I'm not happy with the results:
    http://bellunevideo.com/tutvideo.php?tutid=10
Has anyone come up with a different way of going from AVCHD to DVD that works beter than this?
(I'm not criticizing Jeff Bellune's video.  I appreciate that he took the time to make the tutorial, and this may in fact be the best that can be done)
    J. D.

"Also, I'm curious - how were you viewing the MPEG2 DVD results when you decided the quality wasn't good enough?"
Funny you should ask this.  I was planning on waiting until tomorrow to respond to most of these suggestions because I am starting to wonder if it's my television that is the problem.  I am authoring a DVD with the Mpeg2 DVD file in Encore CS5, then burning the DVD and viewing it on a Viewsonic 20" widescreen TV from an upconverting DVD player with an HDMI cable (I've tried two different models of player).  I've already discovered that unless the sharpening on this TV is set to absolute minimum, the sharpening artifacts are very noticeable.  Even after this adjustment, I still see a thin halo around people with light-colored clothing against a dark background.  Also, the video is of a children's dance recital (yeah, I get the big time gigs, don't I), so there are a lot of artifacts when there is a lot of motion.  I've tried playing the footage straight from the camera to the TV via HDMI, and I don't see any of these problems.
I'm going to take my DVD home tonight and watch on a different widescreen TV.  I'll let you all know tomorrow if I see the same issues or not.
"If you want to try Pr again, make sure Use Maximum Render Quality is checked in the Export Settings dialog."
Interetsingly, the Premiere manual reads "Maximum Render Quality often makes highly compressed image formats, or those containing compression artifacts, look worse because of sharpening."  I've been using MRQ, but since AVCHD is a highly compressed format, maybe this shouldn't be used?  I tried converting a bit without MRQ checked, and it didn't seem to make much of a difference.

  • Can't burn a dvd even in DVD creator pro??? What's up?

I'm trying to burn a video that I made in iMovie. I open the app DVD Creator Pro- Burn DVD. Everytime I insert a blank DVD, iTunes opens up and says...
You’ve inserted a blank DVD. To burn items on the DVD, select the playlist that contains the items you want to burn, and then choose File > Burn Playlist to Disc.  If you haven’t yet created the playlist, choose File > New > Playlist, then drag items from your library to the playlist.
I don't have my Video saved in iTunes so why does my blank dvd open up there???
I tried burning it in my DVD Creator Pro, and I get an error every time.
    Thank you
    Cinda

Make sure that in the System/CDs & DVDs preference pane you don't have iTunes selected to open when you insert a blank DVD.

  • I need a good DVD creator app for Mac

I have been researching DVD creator apps in the App Store and I am really not finding anything good. A large majority (80%+) have poor reviews and the others either have no reviews or the positive reviews are very suspect like the creators friends and family wrote them. I mostly need this as I work on iMovie projects and would like to share them with people who don't do You Tube or prefer to watch movies/video on their DVD player. I guess I missed out when Apple offered iDVD as standard software. If I see a trend of replies mentioning the same app I will check it out. I don't mind paying for it, I just want it to work.

I've requested this post be relocated to an appropriate Mac forum, rather than the iPhone Accessories forum.

  • DVD Creator 2 Platinum randomly "flips" some avi files

When importing .avi files to edit, programme randomly "flips" some of the files. Some are flipped in the imported screen, but play correctly in preview, and similarly some images are flipped in the timeline screen but play correctly and vice versa.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled and spent a long long time looking at the InterVideo support and FAQs but nothing. Help......please.....

    What help do you expect??
Do you think this is a bug???
Im not a DVD Creator 2 Platinum expert but maybe its a feature?!
Try to contact someone from the InterVideo support. Maybe the InterVideo gusr known more about this issue and could explain why it happens

  • DVD Creator

I have a Mac OS X and it does not include idvd. I need to make DVDs that will play in a DVD player. Does anyone know of good software that is available to help me with this problem. I see there are some in the App store but I am not liking the reviews and I have been ripped off before with programs that freeze.

I've never used DVD Creator; however, iDVD can still be purchased at various online resellers such as Amazon, ebay, and others - simply look for iLife 11 retail disk, it contains iDVD and there really is no equivalent for it anywhere with its' customizable themes and menus. Here is one Google search result:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=ilife+11&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:e n-US:official&client=firefox-a#q=ilife+11&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=hmz&rls=org. mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=imvnsl&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=zkHIT7C0C6 nM2AWmuuXbDQ&ved=0CKQBEK0E&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=461a394effdaa70 c&biw=1165&bih=601
I would not even think about creating one of my "master pieces" without iDVD and purchased a retail copy just to have an install disk if I should need it.

  • Xilisoft dvd creator

I've downloaded xilisoft dvd creator 7 for mac to burn my iMovies since my mac book doesn't have idvd.  I can get it to burn the movie, but the music is totally out of sync with the pictures.  It's just fine when we watch the iMovie directly from my mac, but won't work when I burn a dvd to play on our home dvd player.  Any suggestions as to what could be going on?

Never heard of it. There is no adequate substitute for iDVD.
Why is there no iDVD on my new Mac? How do I get it and how do I install it?
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3673
To burn a DVD with iDVD from the latest version of iMovie, you have to export the movie using the Export button and select 480p as the size. Open iDVD and start a new project, then drag that exported movie file into the iDVD menu window, avoiding any drop zones you see.

  • Replacement for xilisoft dvd creator

Does anyone know if there is a good DVD Creator package in the app store that doesn't require X-11?
I just bought Xilisoft's DVD Creator 7.x and halfway through the creation it aborted and told me to install X-11. After doing some reasearch it seems Apple no longer support (or installs) X-11 on 10.8.x
Shouldn't the X-11 need have been listed under the requirments?

    Maybe this will help:

  • Is there a DVD creator that retains the chapter markers that have been denoted in iMovie project?

Is there a DVD creator that retains the chapter markers that have been denoted in iMovie project and automatically link them to menu buttons?
I understand that iDVD used to do this but it is no longer part of the iLife package on my new iMac. I dont want to buy a DVD creator where I have to recreat the chapter positions that i have spent so long positioning on the iMovie project.

Only iDVD does this correctly, but Apple no longer want you to burn video DVDs.
The current Apple thinking is that the entire world has access to fast broadband and wants to distribute home movies to friends and relatives via download (iCloud) rather than mailing them a DVD. The fact that in reality not all users do, has so far had no effect on this policy. If you scream and shout loudly enough down the phone Apple may send you a free copy of iDVD. That worked for some, but is now said to have been withdrawn by Apple. Also, you can complain bitterly here, perhaps suggesting that Apple could have provided a choice between using iCloud and burning DVDs:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/
Whilst Macs with a Superdrive continue to be able to burn video DVDs, the software for so doing, iDVD, is no longer included in the iLife bundle that comes with OS 10.7 Lion (which also omitted iWeb) or will come with OS 10.8 Mountain Lion. And it is no longer included in the iLife 11 from the online Apple Store: http://www.apple.com/ilife/. Your only solution is to look on Amazon or eBay and try to get an older version that includes iDVD.
However, the vastly more expensive FCPX can burn a DVD without iDVD or DVD Studio Pro involvement, but lack the themes etc of iDVD. Also, of course, there is Roxio Toast.

  • Missing HP CD Recovery CD-DVD Creator software

I am the original owner of a n7160m Media Center pc (circa 2001) which needs to be restored from the factory partition on the hard-drive.  Unfortunately, after a recent Windows update, the hard-drive (original) failed and the C-drive partition became currupted.  I am unable to find the original Recovery DVDs I created.  I cannot run the HP CD Recovery CD-DVD Creator software because it is on the corrupted partition.  I don't think it would work anyway since I already made discs previously.  The original Recovery partition still exists.  I was hoping there was another way to recover the factory state or recreate the Recovery discs.  Is the Recovery software available somewhere?
This has been my child's pc for several years and I'm trying to get it back in operation.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Once the recovery disks were created you cannot create them again.
Have you done a hard disk diagnostic?  If it is OK you may try doing a recovery from the recovery partition providing it is not corrupted.
To do a software recovery from the hard drive, turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key until "Windows is loading files..." displays on the screen. If your computer originally came with Windows XP or earlier, press F10 to enter recovery instead of F11.
If you need recovery disks and If you live in the USA/Canada, call HP at this number 1-800-334-5144, and see if you can still get a set of recovery disks.
For the worldwide site go here if outside USA/Canada
    http://welcome.hp.com/country/w1/en/support.html
I checked a couple of places other than HP and did not find them so try HP as noted above.

  • Is DVD Creator good for burning MP4 video to dvd to view on TV

Is DVD Creator by Aimersoft good for burning MP4 video to dvd to view on TV?

I tried the trial and found the theme/menu option too simple to interest me, so I deleted it. I use iDVD to add some pizzazz to my movies and then either burn it with iDVD or Roxio Toast. As for burning mp4: you might need to check on that - as far as I know, movies need to be in an mpeg-2 format to be able to play on a regular DVD player - the apps I use automatically create the correct format.

  • Anyone got any good AVCHD FOR DVD Presets they can share for AME CC Latest Version when exporting from Premiere Pro CC Latest Version?

Just wondering if anyone has for download or can share some templates or settings that I can use to create a One Stop Encode that will suit both AVCHD HD DVD Disc and be good as a Computer MP4 File for PC and Android Mobile Playback and maybe even good enough for Full Bluray Mastering.
Currently I am using mostly HDV 50i Material with a bit of 1080 30p and Mobile phone type MP4 files thrown in.
I typically Encode to for DVD SD and HD BD. However I would like to be able to take advantage of putting some of the short HD Video to AVCHD DVD-R Discs.
I understand that the maximum bit rate is gonna be 18mbs? for AVCHD on DVD but am unsure what Profile settings I need to be compliant and as I say if create a good one MP4 that will be good for all formats
whether it be AVCHD DVD, Blu-ray Disc and good for YouTube uploading with possibility of compatibility with some of the Android Mobile Phones and Tablets.
    Thanks in Advance

Agreed about the roses but alas my next project always calls. Actually, I think what happens is I give each project SO much love that when it comes to exporting, I've run out of time.

Semantics aside, I would love to be able to have it at least default to whatever option was last chosen. Or, perhaps I shouldn't use the word default again...I'd love it to simply remember my preferred setting. That's all.
