Average amounts in a separate reating frame

I have a group report in which sum of two fields is calculated and the bottom. I have to caculcate the ratio of these two values and display the ratio of sum values as well. The report spans over the year. For every month i have the different ratio.
Now i a separate table i have to display the ratios of every month vertically and in a separate column alongwith each ratio column i have to display the average of current and last month. It is possible that report is being search for 3 months or less. How can i do this? How to pick the ratio of individual months?

Yes i tried but it is not possible with Matrix report.

Now like this i have the entires of Febraury till december. I have successfully developed the above mentioned report. The requirement is to display the Comission/Total Amount of each month in a separate table which is calculated above like
Month | Comission for the month | Cummulative Comission
Jan-06 1 %
Feb-06 1.1% Average (1%,1.1%)
How can i make this table based on the above mentioned calculated values. In the next step i have to draw the chart for Comission versus Cummulative Comission.

    How do I set up two separate text frames side-by-side as two columns, and create a separate table of contents for each?
    I need to create a two-language document with English on the left and a translated language on the right. Each language will also have separate illustrations and cross references to them in the text. Basically, I need to create two manuals in a single document.
    I'm doing this with Frame 7.1 if that makes any difference.

    To create the two separate text frames, simply use the Text Frame graphic tool on the Master Pages to draw tthe second frame. You will need to give the "Flow"  for this text frame a unique name. By default FM uses "A" for a flow name, but you can change this to be the name of the language.

    However, I would recommend that you first create separate documents for the English and translated versions. Then import the contents of those documents by reference (i.e. create text insets) in your combined document.
    Use the combined document as your publishing vessel and the separate documents as your editing/working environment.
    The only gotcha would be if you need to maintain side-by-side fidelity with each paragraph in the English and translated version. If so, then you should import by copy and then you'll hjave to manually adjust the paragraph spacings to stay lined up.

    I have a 12 spread (22 page) document that was originally created with a single column primary text frame in CS6. It contains text and anchored images throughout the doc. (images are anchored to the text frame).
    My client now wants each page split into 2 columns, but the columns need to have different widths - the left column needs to be narrower than the right. Although I can create 2 columns in a single frame, it's not possible to adjust the column widths separately, so I need to get them into 2 separate frames.
    Is there a way to convert a 2 column text frame into 2 separate text frames, so I can resize the column widths invididually?

    The doc size is 8.5"x11", with 1/2 " margins. I never mentioned anything about it being a book. (It's just a paper my client wrote and woud like a PDF of it). The reason for the uneven columns is he wants the images to be 4" wide. For some reason, he wasn't keen on just a single column with text wrapped around the pix. I proposed making a 3" left column threaded into a 4" right col with a .5" gutter between them and he wants it that way.

    Hi,
    as you don't have a separate keyfigure for this you need to create a restricted keyfigure. Identify the characteristic value that is relevant for a parked amount and restrict your amount by this value.

    Hi, I've been asked to write a report which lists the average time it takes for a helpdesk job to be closed. There isn't a closed date as such, the table column is simply an audit date/time which can be for various tasks.
    I need to use this column along with another which is an ID of the action. For example:

    The fps can be whatever you prefer - 24 versus 30 ... either is fine.
    I doubt you will be getting an answer regarding the average number of frames in a card animation.  Animations can vary between 1 (code based)) and thousands of frames.
    If you give a description of the animation you intend to create a guesstimate might be possible

  • I Can't separate text in frames from repeating

    I have been working on a Flash site for a while - and learning quite a bit over the past 2 years.  This is my first Flash design website and I can't see where I went wrong.
    At some point last year I removed subsequent frames and began duplicating the text to show symetry.  Now, my customer wants to add different information in the adjacent frames, but I can't remove the adjacent duplications.
    Example: 
    Frame 6 has text-A (Sample X in the PDF Image below)
    Frame 7 has text-A (Sample Y in the PDF Image below)
    Now I want Frames 6 and 7 to have different text - unlinked in all frames, and the final tween frame.
    When I edit either of the 8 Frames contents, the text changes for the adjacent frames.  Luckily, the first 2 tweens contain separate information, so those are not linked to these last 2 (Sampe X and Y).  How do I separate the frames so I can have different information, but I do want each Sample to contain the same text?  I DO NOT want Sample X and Sample Y to mimic each other.  Each tween is 4 frames in length, and each frame is duplicated.  However, I want Sample X separate from Sample Y.

    My example image identifies Sample X and Y as my current work.  What I am referring to is that the text inside the movie clip of Sample X and Sample Y are identical.  When I edit the text/content in the Movie Clip for Samply Y, it changes the text in X automatically.  I want them to be separated, so the content in each movie clip is different.
    If you visit the website http://www.playonkc.com/ and select Training, you can see the content.  When you click on the + bubbles on the right, if pulls up each months training.
    Somehow my .fla file contains linked months.  So inside each movie clip, the text for months July/August & Sept/Nov are linked.  When i edit the contents of one, the other changes.  How do I separate them, so they are independent of each other like Feb/Mar & May/June.
    It has to be either a Key Frame, or Frame edit, but when I just change the text contents of one frame, Flash automatically changes the text contents of the other Movie Clip (Sample X and Y below.)  They are linked together somehow....

    A calculated column won't work because a calculated column can only reference the individual item, not the entire list or a subset.
    You could do javascript to build this, but to me it's easier to just use Excel.

  • Table of contents and the order of multiple text frames flowing across pages

    I have a multi-page document,
    on each page, there are 2 text frames:
    - A text frame for containing a PAGE TITLE
    and
    - A text frame, flowing from one page to another containing: a MAIN TITLE, a SECTION TITLE, and flowing body copy (on page 1); and another MAIN TITLE, a SECTION TITLE, and flowing body copy; (on page 2)
    When I generate a TOC, using the Page, Main and Section Titles styles, the expected outcome would be:
    Page Title             1
       Main Title           1
    Section Title          1
    Page Title             2
       Main Title           2
    Section Title          2
    But because the Main title and Section titles are all within one flowing text frame and the content flows across multiple pages, and each of the Page Titles are within 2 separate text frames, the actual TOC generated is:
    Page Title             1
       Main Title          1
    Section Title         1
       Main Title           2
    Section Title          2
    Page Title             2
    ...where the TOC lists all the TOC items from the flowing text frame in one grouping first, then the individual free standing text frame title.
    QUESTION: Is the only way to automatically rectify this is to combine all the text into one flowing text frame? or is there another workaround?
    Have played with the left/right, top/bottom alignment of the individual text frames; also experimented with the object layering, to no avail..

    I ended up using a product called InFlow from EmSoftware.  The solution offers a plugin to InDesign that builds pages on the fly when there is overset text.  The setup is pretty minimual and it seems easy to use.  The only drawback that the plugin MAY have is that it does not remove the pages it built if the pages are not needed from record to record.  I could not test this myself since my test data did not test more then one record, but when I turned my proof set off, the pages that were built were still on screen.  It does seem to work well for what we are looking to do, so if anyone is looking for something that will build pages on the fly in situations where the "Dynamic Story Handling" is not available, I would suggest looking into this.

    In the example you give, I would put both sets of text in a single box with a blank spacer between them for the video which would then be layered over the top to appear in the middle.
    The video takes longer to download and may also be blocked by the users settings so having it separate allows my text to load (and appear) quickly even if the video encounters issues.
    I would only separate the two text sections if they are clearly different in style or content and that’s really only helpful if you want a phone and/ or tablet version of your pages… it makes your life easier then to have the text in separate containers when you want to sync them across the different layouts.

  • Problems when importing multiple files into key frames

    I'm creating an interactive flash application that uses hundreds of individual renders from a 3d modelling app.  The image file size is 800 x 600.  Each sequence that i import to the stage is around 120 images and each gets put into a separate key frame.  The problem is, often when I import batches of files into flash the program crashes and stops responding. The problem gets worse after each succesful import ie. after importing the first lot of files, its unlikely that the second lot of files will import.
    Interestingly, I dont have this problem on my pc.  So I can  do all the importing on my pc, but when I try and compile the swf file my pc does not create a file and sometimes crashes.  So I am having to import on my pc and compile the swf on my mac.
    Anyone else having similar problems? is there a better way of going about this?

    flash is limited to 16,000 frames.
    use several swfs and load them into a main swf.
