Avery Label Size

I have my template set to a particular size so that each
Avery label will be consistent (obviously). I'm running into
problems with the text output inching its way up so that each label
is not locking into its size (2 x 3.5).
Any suggestions? Is there a setting I should have set?

I figured it out. I hope it might help someone else that
can't see the obvious like me.

  • Can tables in Pages 5.5.1 be set up to fit Avery labels?

Can tables in Pages 5.5.1 be set up to fit Avery labels?  I've tried to adjust the margins and the cells to sizes listed on the package, but I can't get them to fit properly.  Also, when I try to copy information (return address with three lines of data) from one cell to another to fill in the page, the information ends up with one line each in three different cells.  How do I keep it all together?

I'm sure it can be done in Pages but I find it easier to use the Mac version of Avery Design & Print software which can be downloaded free from http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Help-Center/General-Help/Avery-Design--Print.ht m
It will import information saved in Excel or csv formats which you can do from Numbers or other spreadsheet software.

  • Is there a replacement for avery labels software in Lion

I just spent an hour battling one of the clumsiest pieces of software I've ever dealt with in three decades of computer use. Avery labels! Used to be a snap, under (gulp!) Windows, but now it's an unmitigated disaster.*
I have tried to use OpenOffice without much improvement; and I haven't found anything in Pages that really helps.
And it's not nice of me to bite my wife's head off when she asks me to do "a couple of labels for my latest submission." It's not her fault -- it's Avery's!
    * I cannot set one format for multiple labels -- neither justification nor size -- and have it stay from one label to the next. Often when I copy and paste an address (or in this instance, title, copyright date and size for a piece of art), Avery decides to change the size on me. But when I change it back to what I had originally set . . . it accepts that. Egad!
Also, I printed up a bunch of labels, saw some were no good. Decided I'd change them (even more than once) and print them below the existing ones. But on the same page? No way. Avery won't let me erase more than one at a time. Double egad!

Disregard this request.  I found the Lion version of AM in the \applications\utilities folder.
I have a similar problem.  The version of AM in my Applications folder does not work since upgrading from Snow Leopard.  When I click on the app file I get a screen splash saying "You can't use this version of the application Activity Monitor.app with this version of Mac OS X. You have Activity Monitor.app 10.5."  I did a finder search and this is the only version of AM.  When I downloaded OS 10.7.2 from the Apple Store there was no instruction to delete the old copy of AM prior to install.  I now have 10.7.5 and still no activity monitor.  Is there any way to download AM as a stand alone program?  Do I have any other options for reinstalling this valuable program?

  • How do I create avery labels 5160 on mac

How do I create avery labels 5160 on mac

I assume you mean to ask how to print in a format that will match Avery 5160 lables. You can do it with Tables or Text boxes. That's all there is to say without knowing what your content is and how it might change from label to label.
    Size:  2.625" x 1"
Labels per sheet: 30 (3 Across by 10 Down)
    Margins: Top 0.5" Bottom 0.5" Left 0.1875" Right 0.1875"

  • Printable side issues with Avery labels

I'm printing Avery labels on my HP Photosmart 6180.  Was printing them fine and then started giving me a "remove paper and re-insert with the printable side down, then press OK".  Printable side is down, won't work.  Using Word 2007.  Help only two pages to go!

    Hi jimv11,
I understand that you are having a problem with printing labels. I will try my best to help you resolve this. I researched this printer and in this document Load Paper for labels I found this information.
Labels (for printing from a software application only):
Always use letter or A4 label sheets designed for use with HP inkjet devices (such as HP inkjet labels).
Make sure that the labels are no more than two years old. Labels on older sheets might peel off when the paper is pulled through the HP All-in-One, causing paper jams.
Fan the stack of labels to make sure none of the pages are sticking together.
Place a stack of label sheets on top of full-size plain paper in the paper tray, label side down. Do not insert labels one sheet at a time.
You also need to make sure that in the print menu on the computer you are choosing advance and then choosing the correct paper type. There should be a choice for labels.
    I hope this helps

  • Avery Label offset

    Dear Apple users,
Ive started to use Address Book and found that one really cool feature is the ability to print contact information onto Avery labels. I have mainly two problems:
    1) The print output places the text to the left of the label by a couple of mm, I have selected the correct label size
    2) It does not give you the ability to print the label within a certain cell. This is annoying as my label is 7x2 cells and cannot reuse again.
I know its not my printer, as I used Microsoft Word for Mac 2008 and this worked perfectly. It even gave me an option to place the text within a certain cell.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers
    Paul

    Paul,
Here's a workaround (I finally went into Address Book to see how it prints labels):
I'm assuming that you are already familiar with the basic label setup. Go to the Print options, and select "Mailing Labels" from the "Style" dropdown. Then, on the "Layout" tab in the lower area, select "Avery Standard" from the "Page" dropdown, and the Avery number from the dropdown to the right of the "Page" dropdown. Note that after having done this, page layout data (margin sizes, gutter size, etc.) is shown below. Now, select "Define Custom..." from the "Page" dropdown. You will then be prompted for a name for your custom setting. The nice thing is that after having done this, the page layout settings below will all be editable, and they seem to be initialized at the values of the last label setting that you were looking at. So I'd assume that all you'd have to do at this point is change the left margin value to something that will result in the labels being printed properly. Then, when you need to print labels, use your own custom setting instead of the Avery one.
Let me know if this works for you.

  • How can I can I change an Appleworks business card to match an Avery Label?

I used the earliest Apple II's, and I loved Appleworks, being a member of the Appleworks Users Club through the days of Appleworks 6, which I still use on my Macbook with OS 10.6.8.  I enjoy the ease of creating business cards that it allows.  I have forgotten how to change the format to different Avery labels.
    Help

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad. If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

  • How can I create a new label using Pages and Avery Labels products?

    Contacts prints to Avery labels.
Otherwise just open the appropriate Word template from Avery's website, in Pages.

  • When printing mailing labels from Contacts how do I change the label size?

I want to print mutliple labels from a group in Contacts. I can print 20 labels per page but I want to print 14. I have tried every option in the pop up window but nothing lets me change the label size,

    Hi 786menzies,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that your print jobs from Photosmart 5520 seems very small.
The font size is controlled by the software program that the document was created in, for example any Microsoft Word document that you send to the printer the font size would have been chosen in Microsoft Word.  I've included two different documents on how to change the print settings; one for Mac and one for Windows 8.  These documents will show you the process on changing print settings if not the actual steps as you may not be using one of the operating systems mentioned.

  • I purchased Label Printer Pro 7, but it does not work. It crashes. Please recommend an address/shipping label program that works with Avery labels. Thanks.

I purchased Label Printer Pro 7, but it does not work. It crashes. I press print, and the program closes. I press save, and the program closes. I press print and the program closes. I have had an email exchange with Pabel Printer Pro 7, but the best they could offer was to go to Utilities and click on fixed permssions. I have done that several times, and the program still doesn't work.
Can you please recommend an address.shipping label program that works with Avery labels that I can purchase, and that is also simple to use?

  • How can I get templates for Avery Labels to use with Pages.

Prior to getting Pages I always used Word.  Word seems to bomb out on my new imac.  I need to be able to use Avery Labels, but I can't find a template for labels in Pages.  Suggestions?

Pages doesn't have label templates built in. You can use Word templates in Pages, but I do believe that Avery now has Pages templates although I only see "holiday" ones.
