I am having problems uninstalling avg tune up,,,any help would be great...

I have an American Itunes account, but now I live in Japan. I want to download Japanese artists to my I-tunes, but it won't let me. Is there any way to move past this? My American I-Pod and it is connected with an American credit card.

I have both an i-Phone 4 and a classic i-Pod. I want to download Japanese music on I-Tunes, but it won't let me because they I have an American account. I cannot get a Japanese credit card because I am a foreigner, I would still like to use my American card.
Is there any way to get Japanese artists and songs, without deleting my I-Tunes account for America?

To Change the country iTunes store click on the flag at the bottom and click on the flag for your country.

If it is an Intel Mac Mini, you will need to set the Partition Map Scheme to "GUID Partition Table" and Format it Mac OS Extended (Journaled). If it is a PPC Mac Mini, you will need to set the Partition Map Scheme to "Apple Partition Map" and Format it Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Then reinstall the OS X on your Install Disc and Update it.
1. Boot from your install DVD or Bootable Clone and open Disk Utility.
2. Highlight the HDD in the list of drives and select the Partition tab.
3. Under Volume Scheme select 1 Partition and click on the Options... button.
4. Select GUID Partition Table in the drop down window and click OK.
5. Set the Format to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and click the Apply button.
6. Once that is done, then you can do a clean Install from your Install Disc.

Illustrator CC 2014 won't let me save.

When creating a document in Illustrator CC 2014 (PC version), it will not let me save when either using the drop down menu and/or using the quickkey. I also noticed I can not open a file when using the same methods. I have quit the program and also rebooted the computer and no luck. I had this problem before and I uninstalled and reinstalled, however seems the problem resurfaced. Any ideas? I am using a PC 64-Bit, OS Win7 Pro, 4Gig memory with Intel Core i7 CPU 1.73GHz

You may have a look at the list below; when you reinstall under such circumstances you should always use the Cleaner Tool, or strangenesses may linger, see 6).
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

IPod isn't recognized by iTunes and won't let Windows format it

I have an iPod classic that won't do much of anything. It won't turn on and rarely gets past the apple logo. It it does get past the apple logo though it asks as if you just bought it and asks your language and has nothing on it. If you go into settings though it says that all of the memory it used up. It also has the games on it but if you try to play them the iPod crashes. If I plug it into the computer iTunes won't recognize and and Windows will not format it.
I do not care about getting any of the previous data on the iPod back I just wish to use it again.

If you are having issues with your iPod Classic not being recognized by iTunes on your Windows machine, you may find the following article helpful:

ITunes won't let itself be started or reinstalled

I've been a very happy iTunes user for months, but about a month ago iTunes stopped working on my computer (Dell 8400, running Windows XP Pro). Every time I open the program, it prompts me to choose a language to use during the installation process. If I play along like I'm installing iTunes (even though I know perfectly well it's already there), when I get to the end of the process, whether I reboot the computer or not, I only get back to the "Choose a language" screen of the install.
When I try to uninstall, the computer tells me "A newer version of iTunes is already on your computer" and the uninstall shuts down.
What do I do? Thanks in advance for any help.

okay, let's try completely stripping out your itunes and QuickTime program files, and then doing a careful staged reinstall of QuickTime and itunes. there's instructions in this post (including what to do when your Add/Remove programs isn't functioning properly when you try to uninstall one of the programs):

New hard drive, won't let me use start up disk?

Just earlier today i switched out my macbook pro's hardrive for a new 750g 7200rpm scorpio black hdd by WD. Im pretty sure i installed it correctly, trying to instal the Mac osx, i hold alt while booting up, click on the cd saying mac boot disk or what not, but i get a message saying "please restart your computer" am i doing something horribly wrong here? I need that computer for school tomorrow :/ Thanks guys.

There is no install disc for OS X Lion 10.7.1.
So you must be using a Snow Leopard disc.
How old is your MBP?
If it came with Lion (10.7.x) installed when you bought it you can not install Snow Leopard on it.
If you have your olde drive reinstall that. Download a program to Clone the old drive to the new drive, SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner. Then install the new drive.

Adobe photoshop cc 2014 won't close window with unsaved file

Recently installed update to Photoshop via creative cloud. Photoshop works great but for some reason I am unable to close a window with an unsaved project. Pressing command-w or going to file close doesn't do anything. As soon as I save the file I can close the window or quit photoshop. Is this in the preferences? Please advice.

I'm having this same issue. Can't close an unsaved file that has been opened, even if it is completely unedited. When an unsaved file is present, I can't quit Photoshop, either.
I'm on OSX 10.7.5 (yes, I know...it's aged), Photoshop CC. Plenty of memory and disk space, so that's not the issue.

Airport disk won't let Windows 7 copy files

Dear readers,
I've got an Airport Extreme, with a PC (win7x64), Mac mini and USB disk (Lacie Porsche design 500Gb) connected (wired Gbit).
To get acces to the disk I already changed the Windows settings below. Now when I copy several files or 1 big file to the Airport-disk, Windows pops a message that the connection is lost (although I still see the disk in Explorer). I can chosse "skip" to skip the first file, after which the rest is copied perfectly.
The Synchronize tool "SyncToy" has no problem copiing any file to the disk.
So it seems Explorer has a problem initiating a connection needed for copiing in a first attempt, right? Perhaps SyncToy is more patient and waiting for a good connection?
Does anybody have a idea how to solve this?

security setting change, needed to make the disk visible:
Go to Start Menu
Search for: security
Click on Local Security Policy
Goto Local Policies> Security Options
Double Click on Network security: LAN Manager Authentication
Change level to: Send LM # LTLM Responses
Then, scroll down to Network security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP
De-select Require 128-bit encryption
Hit OK

Found a ...minor work around, though it's not really a solution.
Using the FastCopy app, I had no problem on copying/moving etc. Actually I managed to move more than 70GB without a single issue.
Now, as the Free Copy site (http://www.ipmsg.org/tools/fastcopy.html.en) (points out:
- Because Reading/Writing are processed with no OS cache at all, other applications aren't easy to become heavy.
- It runs lightly, because MFC is not used. (made by Win32 API and C Runtime only)
Maybe those two facts reveal the culprit for the annoyance.
Hopefully a better solution will come up soon.

CD unbootable won't let Imac to start

Hello evrybody,
I'm a new owner of a Imac, and I wanted to see how windows was running on this machine. So I used the Assistant Boot Camp and share my hard disk (100gigs for windows). Then the computer reboot and on a black screen I could read Device unbootable. Please insert a cd a press any key.
My problem is: How do I remove the current cd inside the Imac ?

I had a CD get stuck in mine when it was brand new and it wouldn't eject. Took it to the Apple Store, and as soon as he plugged it in, the disc came right out. The Tech basically told me that if it were to ever happen again, just to unplug the machine from the power cord for about half an hour, plug it back in, then turn on the power button and hold down the eject button on the keyboard, and that will release the disc. Hope this helps ;-)

Always remember to 'de-authorize' you computer when selling or sending for service. If sending for repairs you might not get the same mother board or HD back and some how this counts as an authorized computer against your count.

To change the iCloud ID on your phone, first save your photo stream photos to your camera roll (if not already there) by opening the my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photo thumbnails, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the changed ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your phone, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your phone when you sign back in.

I had a similar problem recently and using the "more like this" feature I discovered an answer. To a problem posed by Holo7, who like myself was a newbie on this platform, b noir proposed a solution to Holo7's problem that also worked with my problem. It involves downloading a version of MS Windows Instal Cleanup and using it to completely remove all traces of the old version.
If you look at my problem (follow OldGit66) and the link to Holo7's problem then you will find b noir's answer which I think may help you. I am new around here so you might want to wait for one of the higher status correspondents.
