Hi,
I have properly installed AVI Code Intercept studio and AVI Code Advisor.It is properly browse with no error but in each section its showing me message "You have installed Intercept Studio without a license key. Please click here to open license
management wizard." and when i opened it and browse and select license file its showing your "license file has been expired." Please extend it with an Advisor Evaluation Extension license" Tell me where can i get a new license file
or where i can download the license file.

I believe AVIcode 5.7 is not supported anymore. AVIcode feature is now part of SCOM 2012, it's called APM (Application Performance Monitoring).
You should contact Microsoft about licensing question.

Studio Installer has strange licensing error

Hi folks,
Our Crossgrades just arrived today. Just tried to install but I get the following error messages. As a longtime mac user I know what privileges are all about but there is nothing I can do to get the software to work:
"Licensing Error: The license file will not be written to disk becuase the user does not have enough priveledges."
Well certainly do have enough priviledges and I've also tried to repair them, I'm as uptodate with Os X updates as you can be.
After that message it does let me run the installer which seems to go all the way through. I then try launching one of the apps, it asks me for a serial again and I get this message.
"Licensing Error
This application cannot continue because the licensing data is corrupt."
So there we go. Come on apple sort out your installers! They've been getting messy recently!
Any help's appreciated.

**** this doesn't work for me, I have 5.1 studio (universal binery) but it's not an upgrade it's the full version ie: I haven't ever installed sudio before, I get the same licensing error and unfortunately don't yet have the:
Library/Application Support/ProApps/Final Cut Studio folder to trash, anyone have any ideas ? I called apple but they didn't really have a suggestion for me apart from taking my g5 in to them to take a look at, that's a little differcult for me.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I'm the admin account so I should have full privilages.

Thanks for your help. There were two issues in it:
1 - The Firewall and Antivirus program - stoped the firewall and exit anti virus
2 - In service manager when I gave the IP address of the machine instead of "local" and click Set it worked.
Finally, when I ran my web application it was connected successfully.
Suggestion: SAP Business One development team should update the scree of Service Manager. If you dont click on the "Set" button it doesnot start communication. Although you have imported the license file it still remains the same. The Import license File button and Connect button should remain disabled unless the Server Name and Port Numbers are set.

License Error on Final Cut Studio install

We just purchased Final Cut Studio 5.11 from the Mall of America Apple Store. After entering the serial number for Final Cut Studio, the Install screen moves on to the installation type, but gives me the following error,
"Licensing Error: The license file will not be written to disk because the user does not have enough privileges"
I have one account on this machine, which is the Administrator account, I am logged into it during installation, I even have a done a few things that made it ask me for my password, and this still comes up.
After encountering that error, i was still able to install the software, but none of the programs will run, each asking for name/company/serial, then telling me the liscense file is not found.

I can't seem to find the license file, i've looked under library, and application support.
I have checked on my permissions, and I have read&write permissions to my home folder, applications, system, and both library folders.
In the Final Cut forum it said people were having problems with upgrading. I had an old version of FCP that I thought I had deleted, but maybe that is causing problems? Should I somehow uninstall all FCS/FCP info and start over?

Renew License Error: Return Code 20

Hi All.
I have successfully installed NSP (ABAP) SneakPreview more than a month ago (30 days trial) and I got a new license key for next 90 days. The silly thing, I accidentally deleted all licene keys including temp license key in the SAP system while I was using tcode SLICENSE. Thus, I could not login to SAP system anymore, since there is a license error.
I have tried to backdated my laptop's system date, but it still does not work 9may be because I dont have any temp license).
Also the good old fashioned way failed first with the error message:
C:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386>saplicense -install
SAPLICENSE (Release 700) ERROR ***
ERROR: Can not set DbSl trace function

the saplicense fails during the step: connect to database.

Hi, i bought Final Cut Studio. Everything was ok until now.
I was downloading the last update for soundtrack pro, suddenly, when it finished downloading, i wanted to open the application and it asked me for name, and serial number. I did it.
But the application rejected it wit the next alert.
Licensing error, this application cannot continue
because the licensing data is corrupt.
Alert unable to license (code 223)
Please help me with this. i was working with it and i can't continue because of that.

I sorta had the same problem. I have been using Fianl Cut Studio ever since it first came out, what is that over a year and a half. I had an upgrade version. I had several different Final Cut Pro's before getting the full consumer Production Suite. I had Final Cut Pro 4 as a single version first before anything else. I have been updating through Software updates all along and then Wham.
Today I downloaded and updated the latest version for Soundtrack Pro. I thinks it's version 1.0.2.
After updating it asked me for my serial numbers. The only trouble is after putting in my Studio number for FCP and then going to the next serial number screen I noticed that it remembered my original version of Final Cut Pro 4 serial number which I bought before Studio. I haven't had that version in my computer for years. So when I put in the other serial numbes for DVD Pro 3 and Motion it says it's invalid.
I can't find the file that holds the serial number nor can I figure out how to get it to take my number for my Production Suite FCP.
I can't figure out why it asked for my serial numbers in the first place, none of the other updates did. I'm running FCP 5.0.4, DVD Studio Pro 4.0.2, Motion 2.0.1, etc. It's not like I haven't updated before.
So I ended up getting the same message about the corrupt licensing data as well.
That's it for me. Can't figure out how to make it work now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A licensing error has ocuured when using the Microsoft Expression Ultimate 4

yesterday I install Microsoft Expression Ultimate 4,then I install it .today I installed Microsoft Expression Ultimate 4,open it , it tells me "a licensing error has ocuured",then close ,why???

Honestly, I believe that this is an example of Trustworthy Computing where Microsoft has remove support for this application which may also include the licensing server which I am sure is or it has at one point been in use. Hence, anyone using that
program automatically shuts down the application.
I believe without Trustworthy Computing, we would be able to run the application in any case without closing upon downloading the validation code for your computer.
I think that Microsoft should repair the unsupported application at least to close in an open file state so that users who like to use expression studio can.

Final Cut Studio license invalid after upgrading to Leopard?

Hello,
After upgrading to Leopard 10.5.1, Final Cut Studio v5.1.4 and its companion apps like DVD Studio 4 do not recognize my FC Studio License as valid. I input the license key and it says:
"Licensing Error
This application cannot continue because the licensing data is corrupt."
I am a licensed user via the FC Studio Crossgrade since 2006 and all has been fine with Tiger before Leopard.
I have used Disk Utility to "repair permissions". I have removed the FC files from the Preferences folder to give it a clean start.
PERHAPS A HINT?:
So I tried to re-install FC Studio 5.1 from the FC Install DVD and I get this message after inputting the key:
"Alert
Licensing Error: The license file will not be written to disk because the user does not have enough privileges."
I have Administrator privileges on this account and I even tried to install it as 'root' and the same error occurs.
Is there a file that I need to change permissions on?

Hi,
Unfortunately there is also an issue with installing FCS2 on a brand new installation with Leopard and this licensing error.
"Alert Licensing Error: The license file will not be written to disk because the user does not have enough privileges."
This also occurs, apparently, that if you are logged in with an Active Directory user with Admin privileges it still will not let you install the product keys.
This is much the same as a problem with Adobe CS3 products, only the updates work when you are logged in with a local admin - not an Active Directory Admin.
Both these problems are really really annoying for those on corporate networks - such as myself.
For my problem, I had to log out as my AD account, login as a local admin and then install the software. .

Licensing Errors after recovering from Time Machine to an external Hard Drive

My internal HD failed and I'm temporarily using an external drive as my primary HD. I loaded all my data from my time machine backup onto the external drive temporarily until my new mac arrives (next week). Now, I'm getting licensing error code 150:30 when I try to open Photoshop. It says rebooting can fix it. It has not fixed the issue. Any recommendations? I need to work on some files now and am stuck.

Yes. This is very common. Photoshop must never be migrated or transferred, because the license is tied to the Mac and moving it breaks the license.
The cure is simple. Reinstall using your discs and don't forget to apply the updates. You will be starting at 11.0.0.

Adobe X Standard Licensing error

I am having trouble installing Adobe X Standard on windows 7 machines. I am putting it on a image. It is giving users the licensing error message and to uninstall and reinstall. After we uninstall and reinstall we don't get this message. I used the Adobe Customization wizard to create the install package. Anyone seen this issue before?

Create Image with MDT, Capture WIM, Deploy via SCCM OSD. (Note: Items installed via MDT use the SYSTEM account)
Replication Notes:
1)      If you are a local admin you do not experience the problem
2)      If you are a non-local admin and you open a PDF directly (without open Adobe and accepting the EULA first), you receive this error:
Configuration Error
                A problem has occurred with the licensing of this product. Restart your computer and re-launch the application.
                If this problem still occurs after restarting, contact Customer Support for further assistance, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.
                Error: 213:19
3)      If you login as a local admin, open adobe, accept the EULA, log off, login as user (non-admin), and open PDF file, everything then works correctly. (not an option on several thousand computers)
4)      It appears the transform isn’t applying the EULA portion correctly (on reference computer it definitely did), all other transform options are working correctly (Volume key, prod registration, and remove desktop icon) so the transform is being applied.
Let me know if I can provide any other information. We are able to replicate the issue consistently.

Getting Data Direct license error on Development Environment setup

I have setup UI development environment. But I am getting datadirect license error on Debug->F5 in Visual studio.
 
I get Database connectivity error. I checked PT config manager. It showed connection was good.
 
Looking at PTSPY I found thus error:

Thank you for posting this response. This hit me last year and I could not for the life of me remember what we did to address this. Your note saved me gobs of time :)
In that spirit... I'm including some notes we made on seeing this sort of error on the remote tier when using the native API (installing the automation server on the remote tier so the API is accessible to our native portlets). Ideally someone else finds value in this.
P.S. - ignore the preachy/information tone on bits of this. It's written for our internal documentation, so I had to do it up all classy-like :P
Error: "Datadirect license file not found at configured location: [license file directory goes here]\DDplm.lic"
This error will occur if you use certain portions of the native API on the remote tier. When you use the native API you typically install the "automation server" (job processing server) - this is more appropriately thought of as a "light" portal install where the underlying portal logic / process libraries are installed and registered on the server, but the user interface portions are not available (EX: no web interface).
When you install the automation server and portal cross-platform database libraries are installed to abstract out behavior specific to MS SQL, Oracle, etc. The automation server installer does not, however, install 100% of the files used by the portal - specifically, the license file(s) required by this cross-platform database library.
To resolve this issue you must do two things.

1. Copy the license files from the portal to the automation server
=========================================================
* "Share" or terminal service over to a portal server. Navigate to the following (or close to it) directory path to find the license files generated by the portal installer.
\\MyPortalServer\d$\Program Files\plumtree\ptportal\6.0\bin\
* Find the folder "assemblies" and locate the file "DDplm.lic"
* Copy the "assemblies" folder to your automation server, matching the path/location
EX: \\MyAutomationServer\d$\Program Files\plumtree\ptportal\6.0\bin\
* You should now have the following folders/files installed on your automation server
\\MyAutomationServer\d$\Program Files\plumtree\ptportal\6.0\bin\assemblies\DDplm.lic

* Open this file and find the entry for "database-connection:adonet-license-file-directory"

HTTP Error Code 400 Bad Request error when connecting to SQL db

I realized I should move this to a new post since it was a new question...
I am trying to connect to a distributed SQL database from CS4.
Let me show you how the connection is built... and then maybe someone can tell me what I am doing wrong...
First I go to the database panel:
I click on the '+' sign to add an MS SQL Server Connection:
That brings up the SQL Server Connection window where I am supposed to replace the placeholders with my server values:
After I enter the correct values and click test, I get the error (HTTP Error Code 400 Bad Request)... These values work from SQL Server Management Studio on the same PC.
Just as a side note... I tried one other thing that makes me think SOMETHING is wrong here:
If I choose as OLE DB Connection instead... and click the 'Build...' button and then enter the values in the Data Link Properties Window (OLE DB Provider for SQL Server, and then the connection info on the Connection tab) and then click Test Connection on the Data Link Properties window, it says my test succeeded. Then I click 'ok' which takes me back to the OLE DB Connection windows with the connection string pre-filled, and click test on THAT window and I get the same HTTP Error Code 400 Bad Request error...
Hopefully that is enough detail that someone can can tell me what I have broken?

Workshop Studio License-'Could not get Windows HostID' on Win 2003 ServerEE

BEA Workshop Studio license manager fails if "Active Directory" is enabled on Windows Server 2003 EE.
Error message:
-"License failed. Message: Could not get Windows Host ID."
Workaround:
- Quit Workshop/Eclipse
- Disable Active Directory
- re-launch Workshop Studio and click on "Help -> Workshop License" to activate the license. The license will be activated.
- Enable Active Directory

Did anyone ever detail this step "Disable Active Directory"? I've been looking up on Google and so far, all I've found is disabling replication.
Anyone?
