AVI vids not playing on integrated Intel but play on AMD

If i pull the power cord from my new Macbook Pro 15(2011) and Play most of my movie/video files (avi) regardless of quicktime player or VLC it shows a black screen with sound only.
If i put in the power cord and it auto switches to the AMD chip they play perfectly fine...
Anyone else seeing this behaviour? Any solutions or fixes?

can't think of any reason especially, but for whatever encouragement its worth my own MBP is working just fine with 5.1.2 and multiclips

IPod touch 4th gen, will not sync music or movies but plays everything else. This has been since 2 updates ago. We have reset, restored and done everything told but no good has come of it. The identical 1 we have has no issues. It is now on 6.1.5.

This 16gb model number is ME179BT/A if that makes any difference. It still plays apps and games with ease but will not download media from either the computer or iTunes store. We have restored and reset the thing but it will not work.
This has been playing up since October. It started with it refusing to switch on/off or do anything so I rebooted it then restored it but it didn't download any media. We have tried several times since to fix the issue but it just won't work.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know as the uncertainty of this device is killing me. What has happened to Apple??? We have all had Apple devices for over a decade but suddenly the whole thing has gone mad, constant updates and need to buy newer devices...... I think Samsung may be the better option the way rhis is going? We were always happy to pay the premium for the assurance of quality but that is no longer the case!
Please let me know if there is anything to be done with this so called media player??

My ipod is playing music out loud but will not play through

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem.

.avi video clip audio not working in premiere pro but play is windows media player

Using .avi video files. They play fine in windows media player. In premiere pro, the video plays fine, but there is no audio. When moved to a sequence, it builds an audio track, but it is silent. Any help is appreciated.

IPAD youtube videos will not play on "base" wifi but play on "4G" wifi

This problem affects my IPAD2 IPAD3, iphone 4s, iphone 4 with same presentation. All my devices on iOS 7.0.3 .. problem started a month ago about time first upgraded to iOS7 . my ISP at home upstream of my AP is ATT uverse .. ATT is also my provider of 4G wifi via my iphone .. on my home network I use a higher end watchguard router / firewall appliance and for wifi the watchguard AP200s
While connected to my home base wifi, I attempt to play youtube video (several different ways described below) the youtube opens and clearly finds the video but screen says “Playback error Tap to retry”
Next if I turn on the hotspot from my iphone and connect all ipads etc via 4G WIFI then exact same steps result in the video loading and playing NORMALLY … ?? dns issue
Summary of troubleshooting steps so far;
-my Microsoft surface tablet connected to base wifi .. if I run same exact link / video it runs perfectly .. so clearly the base wifi is ok with surface tablet and youtube videos ..
-all wired PCs etc at on network can run youtube videos with no issues ..
-ipad - deleted youtube app and reinstalled … same problem
-ipad - reset all settings .. same problem
-ipad - deleted all cookies and data on safari .. same problem
-ipad – turned cookies to accept all cookies … same problem
-ipad – deleted youtube app and forced to run from safari browser .. same problem
-ipad – manually added 8.8.8.8 as alternative dns to the base wifi .. same problem
-iphones have same behavior but the workaround is very easy here just turn off wifi .. forces down the 4G .. that works fine but for testing purposes I connect to base and all issues mentioned above on ipads are replicated
-rebooted / power cycled ATT RG, WG router, WG AP200s … no change (did this near beginning of troubleshooting)
Any ideas?

Ok I will answer my own issue .. sort of
Partially solved the problem. Seems there is a generalized problem with firewalls and the youtube / apple.
Adding an exception to the firewall for AV scanning allowed the youtube app to start working but accessing the youtube via safari still does not work. Also after adding the exception I had to delete and reinstall the youtube app.
Again before adding this exception .. if I connected to to wifi via my ATT cellular hotspot .. both the app and the safari youtube videos played correctly.

Video will not play on iPhone 3GS but plays on old edge iPhone

I apologize if this has already been answered, I looked several pages deep and did a search and found nothing that helped.
I synched my new iPhone 3GS (version 3.2.1) and added movies but they will not play, only the audio works. I can play them on my computer on iTunes and I can play them on my old iPhone (edge), but not on the new one.
Usually I see a block of green, and sometimes it is just black.
I am able to play YouTube videos in Safari.
I have tried the advance option to convert video to iPod or iPhone and it says it is already in the correct format. I have tried everything I could find in the forum and nothing.
Any ideas?

Does not play in IE 8 but plays in everything else

I've searched for similar issues but have not seen anyone else with the same case. I have a demo page testing Edge Animate as an interactive slideshow.
It works fine for me on all platforms tested (Mac and PC) using various browsers (FF , Chrome and IE8) but for the persons doing the review the presentation fails.
I've had them check other instances of Edge and fail is the same result.
Failing environment - Clients Computer (Windows XP)
FAIL (Blank screen where Edge display should be) with IE8 on Clients computer running Windows XP
SUCCESS on Clients computer using Google Chrome
I thought maybe it was the Publish settings as I like to use the raw files rather than Publish each change but even when Published:

We still get the condition where this Client sees only a blank page.
Anyone else run into similar cases?

IE8 is considered a down-level browser, and so will display whatever is on the down-level stage unless you've published with the Chrome Frame option on. In order to edit the down-level stage, you can either select the Down-Level stage button from the Stage's property panel or select View > Down-Level Stage.

I was trying to simulate the following scenario in SAP XI:
HTTP--> SAP XI --> (RFC/BAPI)SAP R/3
Let me clear what i did.
I have to call a BAPI using RFC adapter in XI to display some information on a request of some Http app.
1. I have Imported the RFC BAPI into IR.
2. I have created the XSD files for http Re and res messages.
3. I have created the XSLT mapping programs and put them in a zip file and imported into IR.
4. I have created a Interface mapping and assign the created messages and mapping programs.
5. In ID i have created a Business service for my web application.
6. Receiver determination created in Id and Interface determination and receiver agreement in ID and activated the changes.
7. I have tested the same by sending the request from my web application to xi plain http adapter as follows:

and in the result i have got the following error:
"System not configured as Integration Engine"
but i have tried it many times and some times it gives me correct results but after that the same error ios coming.
so can you tell me what could be wrong in the configuration of XI of what is the solution for this problem.

What is the version of XI you are using? If u are usign XI2.0, ur URL is correct. But if you are using XI3.0 then use service=<SENDERSERVICE>instead of
bs=<SENDERSERVICE> parameter in your URL.
bs is replaced by service in XI3.0
Your URL will be http://grserver:8000/sap/xi/adapter_plain?service=XIWS_web&namespace=urn%3Axi%3Asap%3Awebapp&interface=HTTP_out&qos=BE

HT3775 AVI files copied from PC to new iMac are not playing. Message is The document "Mural.avi" could not be opened. A required codec isn't available. As far as I know I have the moist recent version of quicktime. HELP! Please.

I cannot get the AVI files to play on my iMac. They were copied over from the PC and I can see them but when trying to open them I get the message "The document “Mural.avi” could not be opened. A required codec isn't available." As far as I know I have the most recent version og Qucktime.

Try installing Perian or VLC. Some AVIs require a codec which simply isn't available for Mac OS X.

I am trying to play an avi file on QuickTime but get the following message:
"The document “HTBX629F3061_X.2.avi” could not be opened. A required codec isn't available."
What should I do? The files were taken on a studio tour and played ok on their computers.

I canot change an .img (video) file to a .mov file. It ends in .img no other endings. It plays on my computer but not on my blue Ray player TV. It came from Finalcut Pro as a home movie. Any help?
