Avoid the step of Co06.
Hai All,
As per client setup- Client produces the goods when he receives requirement from customer. ( but it not make to Order- its considering as Make to Stock, so that it can be sold to other customers also).
When creating SO- Mat-1- Order qtty = 100 EA.
where as in sch.line - req date will be flown - w/o confirm the qtty ( as there is no stock in inventory).
after save this SO.
this req will be shown in MD04-
based on this Production dept, produce the req & Update the stock in inv.
Now before dispatching the same,
either we have to Run "availability check " from change SO or we have to confirm req "thorugh CO06" -
otherwise we cant create delivery ,as the req has not confirmed in sch.lines ( which is std process).
Where as to perform CO06 - will become an additional step for them.
Is there any Option -to avoid / run in Background, whenever they update the stock in Inventory with respective Material??
In that case, you may have to develop a zee transaction in such a way that whenever production entry is made, the same should be transferred to sale order.
To achieve this, you can consider Table VBEP where you have two fields
- WMENG:::::::for order quantity
- BMENG::::::::for confirmed quantity
With this, there is no need to once again run rescheduling.
thanks

How to avoid the step Confirm item: confirm difference in LT12
Dear Experts,
I have a TO with qty to be confirmed = 200.
In LT12, I changed qty to 100 and attempted to confirm it so that I can only confirm 100 qty.
But confirm item: confirm difference window pops up and I need am forced to confirm the differences and the difference qty will be posted to storage type 999
I do not want post difference. I need to keep TO open and confirm what ever available qty
How to do this?
regards
ShashidharHi,
You can partially confirm a TO (with multiple line items), but not a TO line item. If I go to LT12, take the TO line item qty and decrease it to my "actual" qty, the diff field is automatically populated with the difference between the actual qty and the total qty. If I delete the diff qty, then the actual qty is again the total qty. Please try this. If you can confirm one TO line item in more than 1 confirmation step, then please share that with me for I would like to know how that works.
Cheers,

any database error can be avoided by monitor your database everyday .
It's possible to check daily that listener is running properly. Please, Don't mind can you provide the steps. The steps for what? Checking your listener? Just try to make a connection that uses it. For example.
sqlplus scott/tiger@orclBut believe me, once your listener and clients are configured, the listener will 'just run' and NOT be a problem. I've been an Oracle DBA since 1995 and I've only seen ONE listener failure. And that was only when a friend at another company called to ask about a problem HE was having. -

KMC Migration Tool stopped. How to restart avoiding the finished steps?
Hi,
I'm using KMC Migration Tool for upgrading EP 6.0 SP 2 (6.20) to EP NW04 SPS15 (6.40). We have experienced some network problems, and the process of DB migration has stopped between the end of the migration of task AP - completed suscesfully (the last step of the Migration the DataBase, many hours!!) - and the begining of the synchronization the fsdb Repositories (only a few minutes). When I tried to restart the process of DB migration, the KMC Migration tool tried restarting all the migration tasks from the begining of the DB Migration.
How to restart avoiding the finished steps? How can I avoid to repeat the migration of the DB from the begining, especially if it has executed suscesfully? Can I synchronize the FSDB repositories manually at the end of the EP migration? How can I do it?
If I had to restart the process, is it necessary to restore the target DB, or the process does not insert records from the last execution?
Many thanks for your help,
Best regards,Hi,
CM repositories in FSDB mode can have a manual backup before configuring the local root. The XML file provides the description of behaviors and persistence levels for the file system. To have a manual backup the auto sync has to be deactivated or else there will be a huge meta data loss.
what i feel is like you have to restore the DB before manual bacup(.if the Auto sync is activated). However, i dont think so that you can resume the migration.

I have tried all the steps as suggested by the community partners i.e. uninstall/reinstall itunes (number of times). If I plug my ipad 2 on my office PC which has itunes, it is recognised immediately. My lap top does not show 'NEW HARDWARE FOUND" as iPad. It just says new hardware found and shows scanner and camera hardware recognised. In my opinion there could be programme file which is having conflict with ipad 2 recognisation. I am surprised to find that APPLE has not yet come out with straightforward steps for stting up procedures to avoid this recognition issue. It is waste of time and causing lot of aggravation among iPad 2 purchasers.
Sounds like it could be your computer and not Apple. Sounds like some registry issues and/or other underlying problems.
What are your computer specs? Year? Manufacturer? RAM? Processor (type & speed, # of cores), OS (32 bit? 64 bit? Professional? Standard?) -

my question is i needs to avoid the port No. now and give normal url
now the url is https://<host>.<company>:50001/irj/portal
now want to change it to https://host.company/irj/portal
thanks,
KishoreHi Kishore,
Change the default portal URL to give the users a more user friendly URL. The following steps will show you how to modify the URL from the default port of 50000 to 80 which is the browser default. Also you will learn how to setup a redirect from the J2EE Engine so the user can find the portal without first inputting the /irj/portal to the URL.
Change the Port:
1.Switch to the J2EE Visual Administrator
2.Go to Cluster  Dispatcher  Services  HTTP Provider
3.Choose Ports
4.Change the Port number to 80 for http and 81 for ssl
5.Choos Update and Save.
Remove the irj/portal:
1.Go to Cluster  Server  Services  HTTP Provider
2.Enter /irj/portal in the Start Page text field
3.Choose Save Properties button
4.Restart the Service

i have reset my password and i dont have wifi to connect to my ipod and activate the steps in the i cloud process, now i want to know that will all my videos , photos and music will lost if i connect to my computer if storage and backup is in off mode
If iCloud Backup is set to Off in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, it means that your iPod will not automatically back up to iCloud, but will automatically back up to your computer when you sync. The only way you would risk losing data is if you have never synced with iTunes before. If that's the case, you have to take special precautions to avoid losing data, as outlined in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141.

What r the steps to print barcode in smartforms
hi experts,
can anybody tell me what r the steps to print barcode in smartforms.
with examples is appreciated.
points will be rewarded if helpful./people/javier.perez-ullivarri/blog/2007/12/03/create-barcode-in-abap-conversion-to-pdf
Creating Bar code:
-->From trans code - SPAD -> Full Administration -> Click on Device Type -> Double click the device for which you wish to create the print control -> Click on Print Control tab ->Click on change mode -> Click the plus sign to add a row or prefix say SBP99 (Prefix must start with SBP) -> save you changes , it will ask for request -> create request and save
--> when you go to SE73 if you enter SBP00 for you device it will add the newly created Prefix
-->Create a character format C1.Assign a barcode to the character format.Check the check box for the barcode.
-->The place where you are using the field value use like this
<C1> &itab-field& </C1>.
You will get the field value in the form of barcode.
Which barcode printer are you using ? Can you download this file and see.
http://www.servopack.de/Files/HB/ZPLcommands.pdf.
It will give an idea about barcode commands.
SAP Barcodes
-->Barcode solution consists of the following:
barcode printer
barcode reader
mobile data collection application/program
A barcode label is a special symbology to represent human readable information such as a material number or batch number
in machine readable format.
There are different symbologies for different applications and different industries. Luckily, you need not worry to much about that as the logistics supply chain has mostly standardized on 3 of 9 and 128 barcode symbologies - which all barcode readers support and which SAP support natively in it's printing protocols.
You can print barcodes from SAP by modifying an existing output form.
Behind every output form is a print program that collects all the data and then pass it to the form. The form contains the layout as well as the font, line and paragraph formats. These forms are designed using SAPScript (a very easy but frustratingly simplistic form format language) or SmartForms that is more of a graphical form design tool.
Barcodes are nothing more than a font definition and is part of the style sheet associated with a particular SAPScript form. The most important aspect is to place a parameter in the line of the form that points to the data element that you want to represent as barcode on the form, i.e. material number. Next you need to set the font for that parameter value to one of the supported barcode symbologies.

What are the steps to optimise ABAP code
What are the steps to optimise ABAP code, that is how to increase the performance of a code?
Hi
Welcome to SDN forum
1) Dont use nested select statements
2) If possible use for all entries in addition
3) In the where addition make sure you give all the primary key
4) Use Index for the selection criteria.
5) You can also use inner joins
6) You can try to put the data from the first select statement into an Itab and then in order to select the data from the second table use for all entries in.
7) Use the runtime analysis SE30 and SQL Trace (ST05) to identify the performance and also to identify where the load is heavy, so that you can change the code accordingly

Can anyone plz tell me the steps for performance tuning.
hello friends
what is performance tuning?
can anyone plz tell me the steps for performance tuning.Hi Kishore, this will help u.
Following are the different tools provided by SAP for performance analysis of an ABAP object
Run time analysis transaction SE30
This transaction gives all the analysis of an ABAP program with respect to the database and the non-database processing.
SQL Trace transaction ST05
The trace list has many lines that are not related to the SELECT statement in the ABAP program. This is because the execution of any ABAP program requires additional administrative SQL calls. To restrict the list output, use the filter introducing the trace list.
The trace list contains different SQL statements simultaneously related to the one SELECT statement in the ABAP program. This is because the R/3 Database Interface - a sophisticated component of the R/3 Application Server - maps every Open SQL statement to one or a series of physical database calls and brings it to execution. This mapping, crucial to R/3s performance, depends on the particular call and database system. For example, the SELECT-ENDSELECT loop on the SPFLI table in our test program is mapped to a sequence PREPARE-OPEN-FETCH of physical calls in an Oracle environment.
The WHERE clause in the trace list's SQL statement is different from the WHERE clause in the ABAP statement. This is because in an R/3 system, a client is a self-contained unit with separate master records and its own set of table data (in commercial, organizational, and technical terms). With ABAP, every Open SQL statement automatically executes within the correct client environment. For this reason, a condition with the actual client code is added to every WHERE clause if a client field is a component of the searched table.
To see a statement's execution plan, just position the cursor on the PREPARE statement and choose Explain SQL. A detailed explanation of the execution plan depends on the database system in use.
Need for performance tuning
In this world of SAP programming, ABAP is the universal language. In most of the projects, the focus is on getting a team of ABAP programmers as soon as possible, handing over the technical specifications to them and asking them to churn out the ABAP programs within the given deadlines.
Often due to this pressure of schedules and deliveries, the main focus of making a efficient program takes a back seat. An efficient ABAP program is one which delivers the required output to the user in a finite time as per the complexity of the program, rather than hearing the comment I put the program to run, have my lunch and come back to check the results.
Leaving aside the hyperbole, a performance optimized ABAP program saves the time of the end user, thus increasing the productivity of the user, and in turn keeping the user and the management happy.
This tutorial focuses on presenting various performance tuning tips and tricks to make the ABAP programs efficient in doing their work. This tutorial also assumes that the reader is well versed in all the concepts and syntax of ABAP programming.
Use of selection criteria
Instead of selecting all the data and doing the processing during the selection, it is advisable to restrict the data to the selection criteria itself, rather than filtering it out using the ABAP code.
Not recommended
Select * from zflight.
Check : zflight-airln = LF and zflight-fligh = BW222.
Endselect.
Recommended
Select * from zflight where airln = LF and fligh = 222.
Endselect.
One more point to be noted here is of the select *. Often this is a lazy coding practice. When a programmer gives select * even if one or two fields are to be selected, this can significantly slow the program and put unnecessary load on the entire system. When the application server sends this request to the database server, and the database server has to pass on the entire structure for each row back to the application server. This consumes both CPU and networking resources, especially for large structures.
Thus it is advisable to select only those fields that are needed, so that the database server passes only a small amount of data back.
Also it is advisable to avoid selecting the data fields into local variables as this also puts unnecessary load on the server. Instead attempt must be made to select the fields into an internal table.
Use of aggregate functions
Use the already provided aggregate functions, instead of finding out the minimum/maximum values using ABAP code.
Not recommended
Maxnu = 0.
Select * from zflight where airln = LF and cntry = IN.
Check zflight-fligh > maxnu.
Maxnu = zflight-fligh.
Endselect.
Recommended
Select max( fligh ) from zflight into maxnu where airln = LF and cntry = IN.
The other aggregate functions that can be used are min (to find the minimum value), avg (to find the average of a Data interval), sum (to add up a data interval) and count (counting the lines in a data selection).
Use of Views instead of base tables
Many times ABAP programmers deal with base tables and nested selects. Instead it is always advisable to see whether there is any view provided by SAP on those base tables, so that the data can be filtered out directly, rather than specially coding for it.
Not recommended
Select * from zcntry where cntry like IN%.
Select single * from zflight where cntry = zcntry-cntry and airln = LF.
Endselect.
Recommended
Select * from zcnfl where cntry like IN% and airln = LF.
Endselect.

data aquisitio.14.6.13.11am.vi 110 KBMany output tunnels of your stacked cases are set to "use default if unwired". The default value for a numeric is zero, meaning whenever one of thise cases execute, you'll end up with zero (bad value) instead of a data received from the instrument (good value). If you wire the data array across all cases, you can leave it unchanged in the cases where no data appears (simply wire the array across untouched), but append new values where you get actual data (in this particular situation if the outer case is true and the inner case is false).
You've been working on this for weeks now and have not followed any advice given here. If this challenges you so much, maybe programming is not what you should be doing.

Show settings of custom steps in the step settings pane
Hi,
I created some new steps and added to each an edit substep. So the user can customise the options.
After a while if the user wants to see the options again he has to click the edit button to know whats happening in the step this is very cumbersome and slow.
Now I am looking for a solution to avoid this. I had some ideas but either they are not good enough or i dont know how to do this.
1. show the properties in the description: -good idea but sometimes the description is a bit confusing and to short. (same with comments)
2. open a window when the user selects a step and close it when he deselects it. -I dont know how to realise this...
3. modify the step settings pane and show the properties directly instead of the edit button. -this is my favorite but how to realise?
hope somebody can help me with realising my ideas or has some new.
I am sure I am not the only one with this problem
Cheers FrankHi frankne,
I would store the the settings in the step itself.
When creating a StepType you can add variables or even containers to the type.
If you are developing in C/C++ or CVI just look at the CallExec StepType which is shipped with TS
If you select "Step" in the Variables Windows you see that all settings are done there.
If you are interrested about the source code:
ProgrammFolder\National Instruments\TestStand 4.0\Components\NI\StepTypes\CallExec
If you are interrested to see how powerful a user stepType could be visit:
