Avoid to cache(save) swf files to temporary internet folder

Hello eveerybody,
Everybody said it is impossible to do this, but this site
http://www.kroketes.gr/gr.html doesn't save swf files
into the temporary internet folder.
Does sombody know how it is working?
Please help.
Thanks.

Hello sotoodeh,
it's nonsense, sorry but this site will be cached normally
e.g. by a firerfox browser. Maybe you are not aware, that there
maybe, more than one temporary internet files directory on your
system?
Just go again on this page, then search for start.swf on your
system. If you don't find it, than the fact that your system did
not cache the swf has nothing to do with the coding of the page but
your own system or browser properties...
There is absolutely nothing that prevents caching on this
site... the best way to prevent a browser to load content from
cache is to use a dynamic changing url, something like
http://mysite.com/flash.php?id=2&random=2385632873...
If you have something like this random value in the url, you
can force a browser to load everything again from the site and not
from cache... that's the best way I know to prevent LOADING from
cache, not caching itself... there are also meta tags for caching,
but it depends on the browsers settings if it follows meta
instructions like this...

  • How can I save a file in the Downloads folder and automatically have it opened?

Often, I'd like to download a file, save it to my Downlaods folder and have it opened right away.
Currently, you can only decide between the two options "open" or "save to...". There's seemlingly no way Firefox can do both at once.
I know I can download it, open the downloads manager and open it manually. But when working with over a dozen documents a day, that doesn't quite do the trick.
In Chrome, you only have to click twice: Once for downloading and once for opening it from the download bar on the bottom of the screen. You do not have to open a download manager.

Yeah, thanks but that's not what I was trying to ask.
I know that you can save and open a document by performing these three steps:
    1. Confirming to save a file to the Downloads folder
    2. Open the download manager by clicking the temporarily green arrow
    3. Clicking on the downloaded file
What I would like to know is whether or not it is possible to have Firefox open a saved file ''automatically''. At the moment, if I choose to open it automatically, it is only saved to my temp folder.
It would be great though if it was saved to my Downloads folder ''and'' opened with the respective program on my pc. Is there a way to do this?

I have just upgraded to OSX 10.6.8 and now I cannot open or save PDF files from the internet using either Safari or Firefox. I get a dialogue box saying the QuickTime plugin has failed. Can anyone help?

Is this what you downloaded: iTunes 10.7?
When the update fails what if any error report do you get, specifically? Please do this before trying again:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

  • When I try to save a file to an existing folder in Acrobat X Pro, none of my folder names are visible.

When I try to save a file to an existing folder, the folder icons are there, but no folder names. I have to manually click on each one to find the folder I'm looking for. I've had this issue for months. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Bill. Here's what I get when I try to "save as"

For writting u can user FileWriter or FileOutputStream.

  • How can I get Full PDF file in temporary Internet Files folder when a PDF is opened in IE?

when a URL displaying a PDF file(http://www.google.com/Test.pdf) in internet explorer is done, the PDF file is opened in Microsoft internet explorer itself. But I observe one thing. i.e., If the PDF file is created with acrobat distiller the the PDF file opened on IE is fully obtained in Temporary Internet files, and if the PDF file is created with other than acrobat distiller(i.e., created using other PDF tools), then if the same file, then only a part of PDF(10KB-50KB) is obtained in Temporary internet files folder, and remaining is obtained by Acrxxxx.tmp in C:\Documents and Settings\Current UserName\Local Settings\temp folder. why this is happening?
consider the total size of file as 1.5MB.
In my PC, I had Adobe reader 8.1 and IE6.

Yes, I was seeing the difference between PDFs that are linearized. I had unchecked that option, still I can't get the Full PDF in temporary Internet files folder.
Are there any more settings to be changed.
Why only for some files this is happening, What was the difference b/w the files which are fully obtained in temporary internet files folder and that are of not fully obtained.

  • How do I save my files to the correct folder?

When I try to save a file, it gives me the basic locations (desktop, documents, my files, idisk, etc., but if I want the file in a folder in documents, I can't get deep enough to highlight the file. It won't go farther than the documents folder. Is there a setting that I can change this? It is lame if I have to save a document to the desktop so I can find it, just to move it to the correct file that I want it in. Thanks for any help in advance.

Next to the field in the Save window where you enter the file name, there's a little rounded box with a down-pointing arrow.  Click that to show a full file browser that lets you navigate the entire file system.

  • How to change the path for a file download? Sometimes, I want to save a file in a specific folder in my hard disc and I don't know how to do it. Thanks.

There is a default folder for the download of files from the internet ("Descargas" or "Downloads"). But, what can I do if I wish to save the file in another location of the hard disk?
    Thank you.

Use about:config and filter on browser.download, you'll see them

  • Cannot re-save a file into the same folder

    Hi.
I have a odd issue where users are unable to resave their documents into the folder that they have opened them from.  The folders in question are their home folders to which each user has full permission to access. You cannot save over the original
file or even to the same folder and changing the filename makes no difference at all.  You can however save to a different folder within the users home folder.  I get an event 300 error/event when trying to save but no other errors other than a confirmation
box saying the file hasn't saved.
Has anyone else seen this before/
    Thanks
    Tom

It seems like a permission issue, can you save new files to the location anyway?
You can try clean boot to determine whether other programs are conflicting:

  • Saving a converted (save as) file to same the folder I'm in

I have over 1,000 AppleWorks files scattered about many different folders that I  want to convert to Pages or MS Word. I'd like to save the converted files in the same folder that the original file is in. I know how to do the conversion but when I save the file to be converted to Pages or Word the Save dialogue box uses my desktop as the default location. I have to scroll through multiple sub directories to get back to the folder I'm in. If I convert a second file in this folder the file will save to the same folder I'm in but if I open another folder I have to do the same thing all over again. Is there a way to make the folder I'm in the default location where files are saved from the beginning? I'm usingSnow Leopard 10.6.8

Firefox 11+ versions have support via <b>browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite</b> pref to disable to disable the feature to remember the download directory based upon the URL.<br />
The browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite pref doesn't exist by default (it is hidden).<br />
Create a new <b>Boolean</b> pref with the name <b>browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite</b> and set the value to false.
You may have the clear the "Site Preferences" via Clear Recent History to remove already stored data.

  • Trusted Local Flex swf files access to internet?

    Hi All,
We're developing a desktop game client using Flex and require
a local swf file to make loader calls to the Internet. I know about
the sandbox issues but have read that placing a text file such as
    myflexapp.cfg into the
    C:\windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashPlayerTrust directory can
let the Flash player know about swf files that are trusted. The
file myflexapp.cfg has the absolute path to the directory location
of my Flex generated swf file - which is the debug directory of my
Flex project. I also tried targeting the swf file explicitly rather
    than the entire directory.
When I test, the swf file continues to just quietly fail to
load any resources from the internet. Also, I do not get any
warning dialogs telling me that a swf file is trying to access the
internet and if I wish to allow it. Have I missed something? has
anyone had any success with using the Global Flash Player Trust
directory to allow a local Flex generated swf file access to the
internet? Also I cannot see the mms.cfg file in the
C:\windows\system32\Macromed\Flash directory as is described in the
Adobe Flex 3 Help chapter "Overview of permission controls".
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

  • From my email, how do I save a file to a specific folder on my computer. It keeps saving it in the downloads within Firefox.

I have a quickbooks back-up file from my CPA in my email which I need to save to a folder in mydocuments which Quickbooks can then open. Firefox saves it to a downloads folder and I never get the option to save it somewhere else on my computer. I can't figure out where the downloads file is on the computer.

{Ctrl + J} to open the Downloads window, right-click any of the files in there and select '''Open Containing Folder''' to open the folder that each of your downloaded files was placed in.
Tools > Options > General - under the Downloads section, you can check-mark '''"Always ask me where to save files"''' to get a dialog box from Windows Explorer file management for saving files manually.
The ''"Save files to"'' box shows the folder that Firefox uses to download file into when that other pref isn't selected.
You can also use '''"Save Link As..."''' if you right-click a hyperlink that you want to download (won't work where JavaScript is used to download files).

  • Save XMP file for an entire folder?

I have my automatic XMP saving turned off. Now I want to selectively be able to save my XMP files as needed. I thought that I used to be able to save the XMP files for all the photos in a folder at once. however, now it seems that I can only save the XMP file for only the actively viewed photo (regardless of how many in the folder are actually selected). Does anyone know how to do this?
(Aslo, what happens when there are mixed JPG and RAW files selected when I want to save the XMP data?)
    Thanks,
    Nick

    Nick,
CRTL+A will select all photos in a folder. The CRTL+S will do the xmp writing for all photos that need it. It goes pretty quickly. You can watch the progress bar in the upper left.
