Avoiding server events of drop downs, table rows--serious discontent:Users

Hi All,
We have developed Timesheet, satffing request system, Visa Requisition System, Dash board using WEB DYNPRO for JAVA. Each application has UI elements->drop downs,Table.
<b> We are facing serious discontent from onsite users( US,Germany, UK etc..) who get lot of server events while using each UI element( mentioned above). "It is absolutely unfriendly" is the comments we are getting from users</b>.
<u>CAN'T WE AVOID THIS....by upgrading EP version(currently we are using 6.40) or some other way.....</u>
Please let us know how can we OVERCOME this issue...
Thanks in advance,
Gangadharayya.

Hi,
See if you can find the "CompatibilityMode" property for the table. Set this property to "nw04plus" value. This should eliminate your issue.
Hope this helps.

  • Workflows table is not showing up in Data Manager drop down table list

    Hi,
I am able to see Workflows table in Console but not able to see it Data Manager drop down table list in record mode for selection.
Even not allowed to create another workflow table.
    Thanks for any tips/clue
    -reo

    Reo,
You will not be able to create another workflow table. There is only a single workflow table that will hold all the workflows you create through the Data Manager.
As Vito mentioned, please make sure to load the corresponding MDMWorkflow component on the client machines running the Data Manager that you wish to create and view workflows from.
Once the workflow component is installed you should see it as a new tab in the Data Manager. You will need Visio to create workflows.
    Thanks,

    Hi Justin Hill,

I did coding like below to get it work:
my coding is like this in GET_P :
    CASE iv_property.
    WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_onclick.
    -> event
    rv_value = 'SR_CNT'. "#EC NOTEXT
    ENDCASE.
once u did like this, completely logoff from Web Ui then login again to get it reflected....

  • Website has many drop-down menus. Once selected, user updates the page based on selections. Unable to select more than 1 option at a time. Is there a setting to fix this? I was able to do before, but after reinstall, it has stopped.

This occurs on any website with active menu drop-downs. I am able to select the 1st drop-down, but must then load the page and do the next drop-down. I used to be able to make every selection at once and then reload the page to reflect all of those options.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

  • Drop down list properties availble for user in card / document

The need is to define some custom properties for documents in the document directory and to let the user fill up the properties using a drop down list (using the edit option for the card)For example we wuold like to add a properties name departmentwith the following values related to it : Department A , Department B ... so the user should be able to choose from a list. Plumtree offers in the main property setting to define a drop down type for the property and to assign values to it, but from our understanding/findings - these are not accessible to the user but only for admin purposes (defining properties to document types ).Is our understanding correct ?Perhaps someone has already addressed this issue and developed some connection between the drop down values and the edit card page to make the values available to the user ?

    Hello,
Have you check that user permission on both lists? Also ask him to try in different browser or in different machine.
It seems problem with user machine or browser or permission. Please check and let us know

  • OBIEE 10g dropping pivot table rows in Compound Layout

I have a report with 8 pivot table views in the compound layout. In one of the pivot table views, two of the rows do not appear when viewing it in the compound layout. It also doesn't show most (but not all) of the metric values in the 4th metric column in the compound layout. However if you edit this view you will see all the rows and all the values. Furthermore, if you remove the second pivot table from the compound layout, the first pivot table displays everything correctly. No other pivot table removal has this effect. There is no obvious reason why two rows should be dropped from the view only in the compound layout. They don't appear to have anything in common but different from all the others. I can also remove the other 6 pivot table views and this all still happens. I've completely rebuilt the report and it still happens.
    This is 10.1.3.4.1.
Interestingly, in the environment where this is happening, <ReportAggregateEnabled>false</ReportAggregateEnabled> is set in the instanceconfig.ini. If I move the report (copy the XML) to another environment with this set to TRUE, these problems go away, though it's not terribly clear why. Unfortunately it's not as simple as setting this variable to TRUE because the entire production environment is already running with it set to FALSE and switching this will likely cause other problems.
    Any thoughts? Thank you.

All the additive metrics have an explicit SUM on them in the Criteria section. The metrics in the Criteria section that are of the form metric1/metric2 are set to DEFAULT.
In pivot table 1 and 2, the aggregation rule on the metrics are all DEFAULT and report-based totals are checked for all (if I uncheck I get a group-by error).
The two pivot tables are using two different sets of metrics (technically one is using metric1 and the other is using metric1*(-1) to reverse the sign).
I really suspect there is a weird aggregation bug here that the ReportAggregateEnabled setting seems to resolve. I'm hoping to switch that to TRUE in the env. where this is not working and see if it fixes it.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

  • When will the "Bookmark this page" selection be returning to the bookmark drop down? No, seriously! We want it back!

The removal of the "Bookmark this page" selection was a huge mistake. None of the answers really solve the issue. Click the star and then click it again so you can edit the bookmark then move it to the folder you want, or install this add-on to manage your bookmarks. The real fix for this issue is simply to put the selection back. People want simple and when they have something that works well they don't want it to change just because the programmer wanted to do it differently. So when will this functionality be returning?

    * If you click the ★ Star Icon once, the bookmark ends up in the Unsorted Bookmarks folder.
    * If you double-click the ★ Star Icon, you get to pick where to place the bookmark.
    * If you right-click (or Ctrl+click on a Mac) an empty area of the web page and choose Bookmark This Page, the bookmark ends up in the Bookmarks Menu folder and you get to pick where to place it.
    * If you press Ctrl+D (Mac: Command+D), the bookmark ends up in the Bookmarks Menu folder and you get to pick where to place it.
    * You can click and drag the site icon (usually a globe or a padlock) on the left side of the address bar onto either the Bookmarks Toolbar, the Bookmarks Sidebar (Ctrl+B; Mac: Command+B), or the Library (Ctrl+Shift+B; Mac: Command+Shift+B; Linux: Ctrl+Shift+O).
The following add-on makes bookmarking easier in various ways. Among other things, it's able to remember the last used folder.
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/add-bookmark-here-2/
I see no reason to believe menu items that were deemed clutter will be reintroduced — especially when there are multiple ways to perform the action in question.

    Hello,
I have the problem I can't import ISO files to my ressources because in the import mask the Server Pool Name Drop Down is empty. In the Virtual Machine Templates mask the Server Pool Name is available and I have already one VM running with a oracle template.

Has anyone an idea what the problem could be?

  • Drop down selection for a column in Table Control

    Hello,
I have a table control where data is displayed. The user can fill data in one of the column and save. We want to have a drop down in that column where user can select a value. This column is a qunatity field.
Please guide how it can be done.
    RR

In SE51 screen editor, double-click on the editable field and set the dropdown listbox at listbox. As I don't think that you have domain value or table value for this field, set the field value list to "A" from program.
Then in the PBO use the FM VRM_SET_VALUES to fill the list of allowed values. do this in a module called in the LOOP AT WITH CONTROL which fills the table control from the program data. (use a name like TC_XXXX_CHANGE_FIELD_ATTR)
I'm not sure SE51 will allow you to use a quantity field in a listbox, so use a character field (check also right justified box on dynpro field attrinutes window), in VRM_SET_VALIUES parameters and in initial filling of the screen field use a WRITE xx UNIT yy to fill the screen field. Then a MOVE should perfect correctly when filling actual database/abap field by a move statement.

  • Drop down field in ALV values not getting changed

    Hi All.
I have created an  drop down by key in ALV and I am initialising and filling the values in drop down in Modify view.
When I am executing the application for the first time the values fill in fine in the drop down. However based on user selection the value in drop should changed. Keep in mind all the rows added in ALV should show the same values in drop down.
Now the issue is when ever user changes the value but the drop values which were set initially does not changes.
In other words if user selects supplier A the values for all rows in drop down shows as
    A
    B
    C
But if user selects supplier B the values for all rows in drop down should changed to
    X
    Y
    Z
unfortunatley it still shows values as A,B,C .
I have checked while debugging and values are changed based on condition but when I set them back in ALV using set_attribute_value_set it does not shows the new values.

    Hello Shakthi,
The easier option would be to convert the DropDownByKey to DropDownByIndex. If you still want to proceed with DropDownByKey then you need to initialise the ALV data again.  do the following
    1. after changing the attribute-value_set, call the ALV interface controller method SET_DATA and pass the instance of the context node.
    2. reintiliase all the ALV settings like edit mode, converting the column editor to DropDownByKey etc....
This will ensure the new attribute value set is reflected in the ALV component.

  • CSS sheet covers up date drop down, and other Date field issues

Portland needs a little help once again.
My CSS stylesheet object acts like it has a higher "zIndex" then the date dropdown on an inputField.  This causes me to only see half the calendar or none of it.  Anyone else seen this and how did you get around it.
Also, When I test my BSP page the date drop downs, tables, etc all look great.  However when the BSP page is rendered on an iView in EP6.0 they look terrible.  Colors change, etc.  What is happening here and how do I get around it.
    Much Thanks in Advance,
    Anthony

  • How to set a Default Value in the drop down on Account Creation ?

    Hi,
i have to set a default value in the drop down as soon as a User in a particular business role clicks on New Account. I have written the following code in do_prepare_output method. • Drop-down list in editable ALV

    Hello all,
Does anyone know how to display the values instead of the internal values when using the alias table to specify a drop-down list in an editable ALV grid ?
Apparently the BC_ALV* examples have the same problem.
    thx
    Pieter

    Hi,
These links will help you to implement a drop down list...
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/9f/dbabe435c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm
    Also refer the pgm:
    RSDEMO_DROPDOWN_LISTBOX
    BCALV_TEST_GRID_F4_HELP
Also take a look the SAP example program BCALV_TEST_GRID_EDITABLE.  It has a working Drop Down List Box.
You have to fill a table of type lvc_t_drop. In this you set a handle and value for every item you want to have in a all possible drop down lists. You will later connect a sub set of this data to your grid display data by joining on this handle. You can then send this table to your ALV grid using the method SET_DROP_DOWN_TABLE. You will also want to set the DRDN_FIELD in your field catalog to the field name in your data table that will contain the handle for the values in your drop down table you want to expose. You will need to add this field to your data table.
    Best Regards,
    Anjali
