AW won't let me format in drawing mode. Why not?

So the Appleworks program on both my desktop and laptop computers is not working right suddenly. In the Draw mode it will not let me format the document. When you open up the format drop down menu and selcet document all the spaces are are blank--there are no margins, number of pages down/across, nothing. When you go to fill in one of these spaces with a number, you get a message that says "invalid number." My computer seems to be running slow. Do I have a bug?

If you're talking about AppleWorks running slow, then you have likely been hit by the Recent Items bug.
Sidekick, mentioned in Peggy's post will maintain a healthy Recent Items folder, but you can also clean it up yourself.
Go to Mac HD > username > Documents > AppleWorks User Data > Starting Points > Recent Items
Remove all or most of the items in this folder. You should notice a speed up the next time you launch AppleWorks.
The items in the Recent Items folder are aliases to every file you've Saved from AppleWorks. Removing them has no effect on the original files.

I'm having the same problem on my iPads, iPods and iPhones. All use the same apple I'd for the App Store.
Has been like this for a few days. Happening with updates, new apps and if I delete and try to re-download.

Try each of these in order until one works:
Open App Store and click on your Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept them, then do so.
Put the old ones into the Trash, temporarily. Open App Store and see if you can download them for free from their individual product pages. If asked to buy them, see the next option.
Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.
You will have to purchase them using your Apple ID.

My computer won't let me install a program. Says not enough space available when in fact it has 70 GB available. It selects Macintosh HD as the destination. It will not let me navigate to the Applications folder.

- Exactly what are you doing? You saying you are trying to syn it to new comnputer. When yuo sync it to a new computer iTunes will erase the iPod and replace its contents with what is i the iTunes library of the new computer.

IPod isn't recognized by iTunes and won't let Windows format it

I have an iPod classic that won't do much of anything. It won't turn on and rarely gets past the apple logo. It it does get past the apple logo though it asks as if you just bought it and asks your language and has nothing on it. If you go into settings though it says that all of the memory it used up. It also has the games on it but if you try to play them the iPod crashes. If I plug it into the computer iTunes won't recognize and and Windows will not format it.
I do not care about getting any of the previous data on the iPod back I just wish to use it again.

New iPhones don't come setup with an Apple ID/Password. What you're experiencing is called Activation Lock, & unless you know the original Apple ID/Password that was originally used to first activate this phone, you won't be able to reactivate it.
You can login to iCloud.com, from any computer, use Find My Phone to locate & erase the phone. But, you'll still need to know the original Apple ID/Password to reactivate it.

Of course it won't let you. You need to be running OS X Mavericks to run Safari 7.
Run "Software Update" and you'll get the latest version of Safari that's supported on Leopard. You can't use a newer version, as the OS doesn't support the APIs that newer versions of Safari require to run.

Help. Adobe won't let me cancel my subscription. Why?

I have tried everything to try to cancel my subscription. I go to where I can cancel it but the site tells me that I need to update my Internet Explorer. I have the latest version. I can't update to anything else. But all I want to do is have someone cancel my subscription. Why does Acrobat make this so hard to do?

I canceled my annual subscription last month. It took half an hour to find the chat person that could do this. There is no way to cancel online except chat. The cancel was at 1 pm and I received an email saying the subscription was canceled. Disk Utility won't let me format external drive to FAT32

Maybe this cannot be done or the answer is simple and I am missing it. I have a 1.5tb Maxtor drive hooked up via fw800. I want to have 120gb of this as Mac OS extended journaled to back up my internal drive via Time Machine. I want the other 1.38tb to be in FAT32 so I can share files between my windows and mac machines. I keep all of my external storage except for the backup partition in FAT32. I have never had an issue until I upgrades to Leopard and now when I click on the larger partition I only have the option for the 4 mac formats-- FAT32 is not available. I can format the entire 1.5tb to FAT32 but once I try and partition it only mac formats are available. I forgot to mention I just did the upgrade to 10.5.1 and the issue is still present.
How do I format the smaller partition as mac os extended journaled and the larger as FAT32? Any help is appreciated.

It may depend on the type of partition table scheme you are using (see bottom of page in disk utility for that says Apple Partition Map/APM, GUID Partition table/GPT or Master Boot Record/MBR partition map).
MS-Windows can read MBR scheme only (64 bit MS-Windows supports GPT, according to MS). If you have Apple Partition Map, your disk won't be usable on Windows. I suspect you have APM partition table and hence the disk utility is not giving the option for FAT32 format, since you can't use it under MS-Windows.
On the Mac side, all 3 schemes are readable (for bootability, you'll need APM on PPC Macs, GPT for Intel Macs). Time Machine doesn't need a bootable disk, but I'd suggest APM/GPT if you are using PPC/Intel macs respectively (but I'd think either will work for Time Machine, if you have a mix of Macs).
But here's the catch - Apple says Time Machine won't work with drives with MBR partition map (even though Macs are MBR-aware), so the issue for you is Time Machine's ability to use MBR drives. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306932
I suspect unless you are on an Intel Macs (OS X) and use only 64 bit MS-Windows (using GPT)/Itanium, using the same disk for TM and FAT32 sharing between Mac and Win worlds is not possible. Not the desirable answer.
If you do want to experiment, make a temporary setup and try it out on both Mac side and Windows side first (on all your machines), before making a "production" system. You can select the DISK (first line on Disk Utility for that disk, not second line) and click on Options at the left bottom (it might have to be erased first) and then select the type of partition scheme. Note formats like HFS+/FAT32 are a level lower in the hierarchy than partition map/table.

I'm frustrated.

Some flash drives have a failure mode in which they are irreversibly write-locked by the internal controller when it detects a write error. If the drive doesn't have a write-lock switch (most do not) and you can't erase it in Disk Utility, that's almost certainly what has happened. To be sure, test it with another computer, if possible.

Iphone won't let me play certain podcasts..Why Why Why???

HT4796 When I run migration assistant on my PC, I get a message saying windows mail is running and won't let me proceed. Windows Mail is not running. I checked Task Manager's applications, services and processes and found no references to Window's Mail.

Got a new iMac 27" for Christmas (well a little after) and tried using Migration Assistant to transfer some files. I can't get past a window on the PC that pops up indicating Quit Other Programs Before you can transfer your information, the following programs must be shutdown: Windows Mail Close these programs and run Migration Assistant again. If these programs do not appear to be running, restart your computer and try again.
I've rebooted. I've searched Task Manager - Applications, Processes and Services and there are no references to WMail. I don't or haven't knowingly used Windows Mail and Outlook isn't even installed on my PC. Does anybody know how to get around this without using external drives, USB flashdrives, etc.

Lots of fun.... The superdrive in my Macbook seems to have gone off kilter since my install. Now the CD-R won't work regardless of which operating system I use. Normal CD's and DVD's are fine, but any CD-R is taken as a blank disk.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

MAX won't let me set the duplex mode of my RT target

We  have a problem with speed in transfering data via
TCP/IP protocol from RT system (Pharlap) to Windows PC. For strings of length of 50 kByte it takes around 20 seconds to come to
PC, which is unacceptable for purposes of our real-time system. When runing the
same program and sending strings of the same lenght from  Windows LabView on
PC to another PC, things works fine. It seems that this issue with TCP
data transfer speed comes around only when we try to use intentional TCP
data sending in our program on Real Time target.   Labview on RT
target works OK, and refresh rates of online data from real-time target on front
panel are normal. Browsing NI discussion forums we learned that there is known
problem with RT 8186 controlers. RT 818x controllers working in Full-Duplex TCP
mode causes serious slowdown and data loss in TCP and FTP communicaton. As a
solution it is recomended to try working with Half-Duplex mode TCP.
The Problem:
So in order to change duplex mode of ethernet card on my
controller I go to MAX->Remote Systems and choose my
system. Then I go to Advanced Ethernet Settings of that system and from
drop-down menu of Media Mode choose 100Megabit/ Half-Duplex Mode (I have 4 modes
offered: 100 Megabit/Full Duplex, 100 Megabit/Half
Duplex, 10 Megabit/Full Duplex, 10 Megabit/Half Duplex . MAX then asks me to
reboot my RT system and I say OK. After the system reboots, when I look under
advanced TCP settings I can see that the mode is still 100 Mbit/ Full Duplex and
that it hasn´t changed. If I try to change mode to anything else offered than
100 Mbit/Full Duplex, there is no change after reboot.
So, the question is: How to force duplex mode of
controller to change? Is there anything I can write to one of .ini files to
change it, or do I need some other version of software
(drivers) maybe?
We are using configuration:
RT Controller NI PXI 8186
MAX 4.0.0.3010
LabView 7.1 Real-Time (on RT Controller)
NI Daq-mx 8.0.0
Intel 8254x Ethernet Driver 1.1.0.3.0 (on RT)

I do have to open some ports to set up my Apple TV because of the router I have (I was told this by Customoer Support) and I know what ports to open but there is a fixed number in the IP address section and I can't put in my Apple TV IP address exactly how it reads.
