Awesome, new default is floating

Seems like the new default layout for awesome is floating, and it's not too obvious how to change it back to tiling. For convenience I'm posting the solution here (taken from http://www.rlazo.org/blog/entry/2009/oc … g-layout/):
Change: tags[s] = awful.tag({ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 }, s)
to: tags[s] = awful.tag({ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 }, s, layouts[1])

Err.. missed that thread. Somehow I can never manage to find what I'm looking for using the forum search feature. Maybe I should start doing google searches with site:bbs.archlinux.org.
Thanks for the pointer.

  • Creation of New Default Rule in OPL8

    Hi,
In TC : OPL8, in cost accounting tab we maintain the default rule.
Can we create our own default rule?
The issue is we are using the CO-Product scenario in IS MILL. There the two default rules are PP5 and PP6. Both are Full settlement type.
But as we are using Cost Object Hierarchy, we cannot use the Full settlement type. So we want something similar to PP2 but having te features of PP5 or PP6.
Can we achieve this in any way by creating new default rule or how to acheive this.
    Regards
    Kami

    Hi
You can change it in OPL8 when you create New Order Type
Even if you dont change, it will be overwritten by PER when you use Cost Obj Hierarchy

  • Setting a New Default "Output To" Template in the Render Que Does Not Work

I'm trying to change the default "Output To" template in the Render Que to not show the timecode for a PSD file, but when I change the default template by clicking on "Custom" from the dropdown menu and using the checkbox to set a preset as the default in the "File Name and Location Template", nothing changes.  The next PSD item I add to the render que still uses the previous template (i.e. it adds the Frame) and doesn't honor the new default I just set.
Just submitted a bug report, as well.
    Using AE 2014.1.1 (13.1.1.3)
    Windows 8.1 Pro

I'm not surprised either of you is having problems creating a new output module and making it the default.  That's not where you do it.
Go to Edit>Templates>Output Module.  Make a new one.  Select one to use as a default.  Select a different one if you want a different default.  You can have a default for both stills and movies.  You can do the same thing for Render Settings.  It's the same basic drill.
Since this is basic AE 101-type stuff, I bet you'd get a lot out of these how-to's from the pros:

  • How do I get Firefox to recognize my new default printer as the old default printer is no longer connected?

I have installed a new default printer in my computer which is running Windows XP Pro. When I try to print from the browser it keeps showing the old printer which is no longer connected to the computer. Every other program has recognized the new default printer. The Control Panel indicates that the new printer is the default.

You can force Firefox into forgetting the old printer.
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # Locate the preference '''print.print_printer''', right-click on it and choose '''Reset'''
    # Restart Firefox

I created an alias precisely because I wanted to make it the new default name and then quickly realized it wasn't possible. How long after deleting the alias will it become available again so that I can create a new account with it?
I'm trying to make iCloud mail my primary email but I'm concerned that I may have lost the perfect email address forever.

I have the same problem. After our wedding I've created an alias ([email protected]) to my actual AppleID Account ([email protected]). Now I'd the idea to delete the alias and my actual AppleID to create a new AppleID with ([email protected]).
Is there really no possibilty to do this?
Thanks in advance for quick and positive feedback.

    Modified Paths:

    To Neoreborn:
If I understand right, Shale only provides some mock core JSF objects and extends JUnit so that you can do junit test to your java classes.
What I concern is to test Pages(JSP) rather than java classes. I want to assert component attribute values within all lifecycle including rendered HTML script. Currently, there isn't any good tools to do this kind of JSP Unit test, am I right?

  • Why does TextEdit revert to Helvetica 12 even after you set a new default font whenever you drop an image into an RTFD?

Anyone know a workaround for when TextEdit reverts to Helvetica 12 even after you set the new default to say Verdana 14 every time your drop an image into an RTFD? Kind of defeats the purpose! Is there a way around this? THANKS!

Among the alternatives not mentioned... Using a TiVo DVR, rather than the X1; a Roamio Plus or Pro would solve both the concern over the quality of the DVR, as well as providing the MoCA bridge capability the poster so desperately wanted the X1 DVR to provide. (Although the TiVo's support only MoCA 1.1.) Just get a third-party MoCA adapter for the distant location. Why the hang-up on having a device provided by Comcast? This seems especially ironic given the opinions expressed regarding payments over time to Comcast. If a MoCA 2.0 bridge was the requirement, they don't exist outside providers. So couldn't the poster have simply requested a replacement XB3 from the local office and configured it down to only providing MoCA bridging -- and perhaps as a wireless access point? Comcast would bill him the monthly rate for the extra device, but such is the state of MoCA 2.0. Much of the OP sounds like frustration over devices providing capabilities the poster *thinks* they should have.

  • Assign new default forms to list causes other content types forms to fail.

I have a list with multiple content types and I want to modify the forms.   I've created new forms but when I assign them as default and go back to the new item menu, no matter which item I select I get the new default form.  If I set the
NewForm.aspx back as default everything works.
How can I modify for one content type and ensure the forms are not affected?
By modify I mean I want to put a hyperlink on one of the forms but not the other.

Form libraries can be very painful if you can't foresee the direction that the form will be evolving over time.  I've run into times when users have been using a form for months - years, and then a sudden change is needed (such as a change in calculations)
that they want to show ONLY in new forms, and the old calculations (for the same calculated fields) to show up in the old form, and you can't have 2 different versions of the same form working on a library unless you use content types.
You also, however, need to plan for columns and column types because of limitations around the number of Int columns or date/time columns, etc... that are allowed in a list.  If you plan on using content types, I would say use a base content type (if
the content types will have the same fields) and then the fewer fields are different, the fewer columns are required on the library.  In different content types, you can use different forms, and then you can make different calculations within the forms
for the same field (if that is ever a requirement).
Its best to plan this out ahead of time, because switching strategy after running for a while can create monstrous headaches.

  • How to create a new default domain for Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3

I installed Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2 and deinstalled it. Then, I install Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3

I saw old version of ADF in the development list at http://localhost:7101/console
I want to delete this domain and create a new default domain.
    How to do that?

How to do that?It is not clear from your question which domain you want to re-create. The WebLogic server that is installed along with the JDeveloper installation can run in either integrated mode - each time you run or debug your application in JDeveloper, or in standalone mode - in this case you start the server outside of JDeveloper and deploy onto it.
_1. For the integrated domain:_ One way to force JDeveloper to re-create the integrated WLS domain is by removing or re-defining the JDeveloper user directory. The location of the user directory is accesed via the JDEV_USER_DIR environment variable.
_2. For the standalone domain:_ You will need to run the WebLogic domain configuration wizard. It is called config.cmd (Windows installation) or config.sh (for Linux) and can be found in the wlserver_10.3\common\bin directory under the JDeveloper installation directory (MiddlewareHome).

  • Cant open new default iPhoto 11 library

Hi, I recently downloaded iphoto 11. It seems I now have two iphoto library's, a new 'default' one that wont open and a second one that does open but is missing a whole heap of photo's. What is going on and how do I open the library that I cant open?

Hi Leonie, from further examination, the 'default' library that wont open is located in users/pictures/iphoto library and is 42gb in size. When I try to open it it tells me that "iphoto library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iphoto. Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iphoto after the upgrade. The upgrade process for very large libraries may take and hour or more to complete".
I then press the URGRADE button from where another message appears - "iphoto unable to open this library" and only gives me the option to quit.
I can open the second library, which is located in "applications/iphoto library" (and is 11.89gb), by opening iphoto while pressing the option button. Interestingly, when i open this iphoto library, iphoto tells me three times "iphoto wants to use your confidential information stored in "publish.me.com" in your key chain" - whatever that means.
Thanks for your help as I am a bit lost with this and am not keen to lose 42gb of photos's.

  • [awesome] New to the tiling world

    Hey everybody,
After the surprises and joys of the basic Archlinux install, I first installed KDE4 as DE, because I was quite used to use it.
The I saw that KDE wasn't enough light to change my PC in a formula 1 car, so I searched. After that I installed Openbox, which has a great community here.

I did this from the only tutorial I saw.
It would be nice if you help me fixing the bugs and errors.

You are using way to many third party libraries at once for us to be able and point the finger at the problem. Which might not even be there, but turns out your personal theme is broken.
Idea: start simple and clean with a default rc.lua, then add one thing at a time, not 10 libraries from some tutorial

  • How do I set a new default font in CS6 for ALL documents

I've seen in many discussions on here how to change the default font for new documents, but no one has addressed the idea of how to make it so that you have a preferred default font that overrides Myriad for any document you open. Is that even possible? I receive files from many different sources and most people just stick with Myriad. I need to change that font constantly in documents to Helvetica Bold and want the type tool to just stay there unless I manually change it myself. Any ideas?

    mrsmeed,
You may follow the instructions here (follow the link with that name, and remember to work on the preference file with illy closed):
Working with the AIPrefs/Adobe Illustrator Prefs file
You may try with Helvetica-Bold (instead of just Helvetica for Helvetica Regular); as you can see there may be a bit of trial and error to find the exact name.
If you do, I should be thankful if you will report back so I can add the right name in that hint.

  • How can I set a new default app for .flac

    10.6.8
    This doesn't work:
To change the application that opens a document:
Select the document and choose File > Get Info.
Click the triangle next to “Open with” to expand the section.
Choose an application from the pop-up menu, or choose Other to locate a different application.
If  you want to use that application to open all documents of the same type  as the current document and created by the same application, click  Change All.
There is no "open with" section in "Get Info"
I  have seen an open with dialog when clicking a file but it's not now  happening. One app (Wave pad--- trial)was selected, trash that app and  another (Audacity) is now default. I was never asked. I can change one  at a time in Get Info (Select New Original) but can't find a Change All option.
    Any ideas?

If you do a Get Info (Control click and choose get info), you do not get a window like this with the choices I've circled?

  • Forms installation problem - how do I create a new default Oracle home?

I am new to Oracle so please forgive my utter ignorance. My impression of Oracle because of how an installation
has to be done is taking a nosedive. I thought Microsoft was bad with all the re-booting but the explanation that I
read in Anubhav Seth's post about installing Dev 6i before 8i and the suggestion (not a requirement) to format the
harddisk and reinstall Windows just leaves me with my jaw hanging open. I'm having a little trouble swallowing that
    one.
Here's my situation... I'm running 8i at home and I am using it for the Oracle courses that I am taking at a local
university. So 8i with its SQL*Plus has been all I have needed to date. Now we have a project to do that involves forms.
So I go to the OTN page for downloads and downloaded file 6irel2nt.exe which is 264 MB in size. This file, I assume,
has forms in it -- what else I don't know because things are not explained all that well on the web site or I don't know
where to look (which implies poor organization of the web pages).
I run the 6irel2nt.exe file and end up with 11,128 new files on my computer. That's nice. I run the setup file and a step or
two into it it complains that my 'Ora81' home is already being used and that I need to install it into another Oracle Home.
Now I'm trying to find out how I create another Oracle Home. I perform a search in GOOGLE on "creat default Oracle
home" and basically get nowhere. My $50+ "Oracle 8i A Beginner's Guide" from Oracle Press mentions Oracle Home
on one page (pg. 170) but is completely useless in this case. My $184 worth of Oracle University manuals (which
are really PowerPoint slides) is useless too. My next step will be to comb through the FAQs. All this because I cannot
believe that I have to totally uninstall one product to get another to install and then reinstall the first one. That is INSANE!
If I have gone way off track please feel free to blast me but if this is true then all I can say is that the folks at Oracle need
a lesson in KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)! Computers and computer software are supposed to make our lives simpler
not complicate the holy hell out of them. I'll get off my soapbox now. Sorry about the whining.

I ended up uninstalling 8i and then I installed Dev 6i (Forms) and then I reinstalled 8i. I had some problems
installing Dev 6i because of this error "path.vrf(86): Unbound variable 'path_too_long_prompt'". Right after this error
appears I get a dialog that states, "The Oracle Installer cannot update the system path variable to %new_path%
because it is too long. Please restrict your system path to 127 characters and make sure D:\Oracle\OraWin95\bin
    is included in your path."
The path D:\Oracle\OraWin95 was what I set up for this installation.
What I did to work around this problem was this...
    (1) Go to Start - Accessories - System Tools - System Information.
    (2) Click on the Tools menu
    (3) Select System Configuration Utility
    (4) Select the Autoexec.bat tab
    (5) I added D:\Oracle\OraWin95\bin to my PATH variable and unchecked the checkbox next to one of the several
lines that I have that build my PATH variable. (I have several PATH lines that simply add a path to the system
variable %path%). After the installation is complete you can go back and turn back on the paths that you had disabled.
After installing 8i I did have a problem connecting to the database. I got this error:
    Error: ORA-01034 Oracle not available
I believe this happened because I had forgotten to turn back on some of my PATH information that I mentioned
earlier. After checking one of my PATH variables and rebooting, this problem disappeared.
When reinstalling 8i and when the installation asks for an SID and you enter the SID you had used in the original
installation you may get a notice that says the SID already exists. I think this happens because the uninstall does not
clean up the registry totally, so I entered a different one. Later on, after the installation has been completed and you
are connecting to your database, you will be prompted to select an SID -- just make sure that you select the SID from
    the latest installation.
I should've mentioned first that in preparing for this whole ridiculous exercise I created a directory under my Oracle
directory that I was going to use as the new 'Oracle home.' So I guess that's all one has to do to create a new Oracle
home -- just have another directory ready to install 'stuff' into.
All in all, this a pretty asinine exercise. Oracle really needs to fix this mess. I honestly thought Microsoft was bad but
this takes the cake. I wonder if SQL Server is this screwed up.
