Awful reception can it be fixed?

I have awful reception in my apartment....It never effected me to much until now. I am a substitute teacher and rely on the sub system to call me to offer jobs. If I don't answer, or hang up on the sub system it calls the next person and I loose $140 just like that. This morning I got a call and the call got dropped before I could even sign in to hear the job. Sorry verizon can't pay my bill this month you lost me a job!
This also may loose me jobs in the future, this could have been a teacher requesting me personally. I am very angry and would like to know if there is any way to make my reception better in my apartment.
My parents home is worse then mine (they live about 4 mins away) if they don't answer their phones I just call the house because it means they are in one of a million dead zones in their home. I shouldn't be paying so much for no service!

Having reliable service is so crucial and I'm so sorry that the building has prevented our signal from being so strong. There has been some good feedback in this thread, but I wanted to provide a direct link to my suggestion. We have an accessory called a Network Extender that's like having a small tower inside your home. As mentioned it does require high speed internet such as DSL or Cable, but you may already have that.

YOu can't disable the camera - this feature came out with IOS 5.
You will have to set your passcode lock to immediately. settings - general - passcode lock.

Verizon Crew Causes Outage But No One Can Arrive to Fix for 2 more Days! UNACCEPTABLE

I have tried every other method of contacting Verizon and keep getting nothing but excuses. This morning a crew from Verizon knocked on our door to access our backyard in order to finally take down an old unused pole that has been there for months. We of course let them back there although we hadn't called yet to complain about someone taking down the pole bc we are not the type to complain. For months Phone, Internet and TV were all working fine, no issues, and were fine this morning as well... that is until the crew working on the pole finished what they were doing, and right when they were finishing up their work everything went down, Phone, Internet and TV. We called and did a live chat complaint immediately bc we figured since Verizon had literally just caused the problem they could come fix it. WRONG, they tell us 2 days before a tech can come to FIX VERIZON'S OWN MISTAKE!!!! So a Verizon crew has the time to come ruin our service but after being on hold and talking to someone on live chat we are told they are too busy to get back.
I have a 3 year old, a 1 month old and my Husband is an attorney that often needs to work from home at night and file time sensitive documents with the Courts and this is unacceptable. Tonight he had to go to a family members house to file documents due by midnight tonight and that is where I am able to send this message from now. We would not complain if it was weather related or something out of Verizon's control bc things happen...but this was literally caused by a Verizon work crew in a Verizon truck and now the only answer we get is wait 2 days. UNACCEPTABLE. Due to this action we went from customers who never complain to posting on this just to get some relief and an acceptable answer.

Go to //Applications/Adobe Photoshop [Version]/Presets/ Scripts/Stack Scripts Only/ and see if StackSupport.jsx is there. If it is not, uninstall and reinstall Photoshop to have it added back in. If it is there, first try recreating the Photoshop Preferences (hold down Command+Option+Shift while launching Photoshop).

If you previously synced to the computer then you may be able to recover use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:
Disabled Recovery-must use syncing computer.
Otherwise y will have to restore and thus erase the iPod
You can restore from backup
If not in backup then:
- If you used PhotoStream then try getting them from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
- Maybe from the restored iPod via How to perform iPad recovery for photos, videos

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

I was having this problem while still using Mavericks -- it started after a Mavericks update last spring. During the initial Yosemite beta runs over the summer, it seemed to be fixed, but after the official launch in October, I had all sorts of problems keeping connected. Its gotten a little better, but still happens to at least one of my devices every day. Weird that we still cannot figure out why the connection keeps dropping on some devices, but not others, and then the next day, one of the devices that didn't disconnect the previous day will disconnect, but the ones that did disconnect, stay connected. It's just sloppy, poorly written software for technology that isn't working the way it should. If you turn off Continuity and Handoff on all your devices, you will probably see that everything stays connected. With those turned off on all devices, TC stayed connected to everything for over a month. The day I turned Continuity back on, all the problems started again. It had something to do with the bluetooth version being used, the wifi routine, and Apple's AirPlay technology not quite getting along with each other.

A majority of the time, I go to watch videos on youtube the first two seconds of the video load and then the video freezes. I am not able to watch anything after that point. Can this be fixed at the genius bar?
