AX not visible...sort of - Airtunes problem

In the last several weeks, I've been having Airtunes issues with my almost 2 year old AX. It runs version 6.3 firmware and I use it as a client for Airtunes only with a Buffalo router.
The green light is on. I can ping it. My router shows it is currently a connected DHCP client. However, iTunes can't see the remote speakers and the Airport Admin Utility doesn't see it.
Here's the weird part. If I rescan within the utility...nothing. If I choose other and put in the IP assigned to it (from the DHCP client table), there it is, free to configure in the utility. When I restart the AX via the utility, it shows up in the utility and iTunes can see it. It works for several hours, then it drops again.
There are no new 2.4 ghz devices in the house and interference robustness on the AX is "on".
Any thoughts?

Update to my previous question:
After some reflection, since I could ping the AX, I began getting suspicious that it was not the problem.
First, I've figured out that I lose my AX connection after I close the lid to the iBook and reopen it, even for a second. Therefore, sleep seems to induce the issue.
Second, after some serious screwing around to get a copy of the new Airport Utility for Windows, I loaded it to my XP machine. I'm now seeing that my XP desktop can see the AX with no problem, while my iBook cannot. That leads me to suspect a software update glitch with the recent security update for 10.3.9. The XP machine is hard wired to the router, the AX is set up wirelessly, as is the iBook.
This leads to a few new questions (recognizing that I'm not upgrading to 10.4 until I get a new laptop):
1. Does my software update hypothesis seem sound?
2. If so, can I roll back to where I was before that security update?
3. When the airport admin utility or iTunes is launched, is it the AX or the program (AAU or iTunes) that initiates the contact? If it's the latter, it seems more like a software problem on the computer side, rather than the AX side.
4. And to help build a corollary based on the answer to question 3, does AAU and the iTunes "Search for Remote Speakers" function rely on the same underlying piece of code?
My next task will be to slap a wireless adapter to my desktop to see if that has anything to do with anything.

I had trouble setting up my router and my airport extreme in the first place and I do not want to ruin anything so I thought I would ask help of the experts.
Here is the set up:
Cable modem connected to a Belkin router (F5D5231-4-APL) The router then splits the cable connection to my G4 desktop and to the Airport Express which wirelessly connects to my wife's laptop. It is from the G4 desktop that I am trying to use iChat.

I am having trouble with other people seeing my status. They report that I am not available even when I am. I can start and participate in text and video chats with them but I would like to fix the problem.
Here is what I have tried;
I have read about port forwarding but I do not have the guts to go all the way I did not set up a manual static ip address because I am not sure how to do it for the other computer connected via airport. I have a DHCP connection but it appears as if my computers ip address never changes (even after being turned off and restarted) so I went ahead and forwarded the appropriate ports to the IP. It did not fix the problem with my availability so I imagine I have to go all the way and set up a Manual IP on both machines

Hi Netktai,
It is not important how you get your Public IP from your ISP but more to do with the way your Local Net is set up.
The easiest set up is UPnP if you have it.
This allows multiple computers to have access to the ports. And be default your LAN IP can change and it will not matter.
This Page at Port Forward.com shows you how to set up Port Forwarding if you do not have UPnP.
Yours may have slightly different setting compared to the menus shown if the Firmware is newer. (it does not seem to be an exact match for the model number you gave).
It should at least tell you the default IP number to type into your Web browser.
IS your Airport set to Not Distribute Addresses ?
IF not your wife will be in a different subnet and you will not be able to test the Bonjour chat with her.

Hi..my problem slightly similar.
I created one new user, and didn't select anything from "Public Groups Assignment" and "Privilege Assignment" for him.
I expect the user will be a public user.
But, when he try to logged in the portal,
He cannot see all the PORTLETS related to database values..
All he can see just LINKS -that all in my portal right now beside the report from database that the user cannot see :)
So, what did i do wrong?

Airport Express B/G not visible on Airport Utility / Airtunes not working

Hi Everybody,
I'm just experiencing a Airport Express/Airtunes Problem! Everything was working fine. I setted up this 1/2 year old Airport Express B/G as the only device via ethernet cable next to my FritzBox DSL Modem to have a wireless network. I use it for Airtunes / Printer Sharing & Wireless Networking. 1 Week ago I visited my friend, who has a new Airport Express N and we tried to extend his my network thru My AX. As I got back home, I wasn't able to find my airport via airport utility, so i hard reseted it and reconfigured it as I told above. Everything was working fine for about one hour until the music stopped and until then this device could not be found via Airport Utility and iTunes doesn't offer me an option to play music via Airtunes anymore.
But the crazy thing is: I have Internet, Printer Sharing is possible & my roommate can play music via Airtunes using his Windows XP PC and even see the device via the utility.
I tried some settings with the networking security, but there appears no difference neither in iTunes than in the Utility.
Help much appreciated!

This morning a firewall security message showed up: Allow connections of myDNSresponder and Config...? I allowed all connections, it worked for maybe one hour and disappeared again. So I decided to set my firewall settings to "allow all incoming connections" which was set to "set access for specific services and applications.
Now everything works really fine with the airport express!

This behavior was described many times.
In every occurrence,the operating system was an uncompleted one resulting of the use of Software Update to update the operating system to 10.6.2, 10.6.3, 10.6.4, 10.6.5, 10.6.6, 10.6.7.
In such cases, the solace was to apply a combo updater.
As you are using 10.6.7, download and apply the combo 10.6.7 :

After that, run Software Update which will urge you to apply :

Value attribute not visible in runtime collection

Hi,
I have created some 2-3 value attributes (display only) in a standard model node for BTDOCFLOW (which also contains some display only fields). Put in the logic in their Getter methods and fields are getting displayed in UI with the values.
Now, my requirement is to display this table view (Assignment block) in default sorting based upon one value attribute and one model node attribute. But the problem here is, I am unable to find value node attribute at runtime in BTDOCFLOW collection at DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT. (Even display only standard context node attributes, which are not part of model node structure are not visible)
I have re-defined method GET_TABLE_LINE_SAMPLE with the value attributes, resulting in enhanced rv_sample line, but still the value attribute is not visible at runtime in the collection.
Can someone pl. tell me, how can I display my value attributes in collection along with model node attributes, so that I can do default sorting based upon one custom and one model node attribute.

Whne you define value attributes within the model attribute then the node becomes mixed instead of either value node or model node.
So you need to access the mixed node and then should access model attributes and value attributes separately.
Get your collection into a normal entity then assign the entity to mixed node

Pen Path not visible - Illustrator CS4

Hello all,
I am a relatively comfortable user of Illustrator - but just now I have encountered a problem whereby my pen path tool is not visible as I draw. When objects are selected with either the selection tool or direct selection tool the path outline is not made available to select. All I get is a generic bounding box with the selection tool - with the direct selection tool I get nothing.
I have scoured the user preferences for some hidden setting - all I can think is that I've mashed the keypad in some wierd and wonderful way that has made this suddenly happen.
Any pointers or help would be much appreciated.

Airport Express green, but not found in Itunes10 - Bonjour problem?

my AX is connected to my network (join a network) and connected to speakers to use as remote speakers on iTunes (airtunes). Connection works great, status is green. I have 2 windows pc's on the network: XP and Vista.
As long as iTunes was shipped with Bonjour 1.0 this was no problem.
From iTunes version 8, when Bonjour 2.0 was introduced, the Airport was not visible anymore in iTunes, and also not in Airport Utility. Strange fact however: the AX seems to work fine (green light) and I can view the configuration in Airport Utility via 'Configure Other...' and entering the ip address on my local network. all options are set correctly for Airtunes.
I believe this is a bonjour related problem, as until now, the fix was to uninstall Bonjour 2.0 and install an old version (1.0.6)
iTunes10 however does not seem to work with Bonjour1.0
So I'm at a loss: my AX is not visible in iTunes, not in XP, not in Vista.
Other things I tried:
* disable firewall completely: no luck
* reset airport express and reconfigured (all GREEN light and visible via configure other, but not found in a scan of Airport Utility when using bonjour2.0
* open port 5353 TCP/UDP in my router (D-Link DI-524) for the AX: no luck
Anyone having the same issue?

I have exactly the same problem. Extremely annoying. Before, I could fix it by re-installing Bonjour after each iTunes-upgrade. But after version 10, that doesn't work any more. Or rather, I can see the AX in Airport Utilities, but it doesn't show up in iTunes. (Weird thing is, it works fine on my other computer, both run Windows Vista).
I guess one answer would be to roll back to an earlier version of iTunes?
Is Apple aware of this issue? It must be a bug in Bonjour. It's been around a long time now. Please fix it!

Images not visible in applet

Dear all
I have this applet for which i designed a toolbar.This toolbar has image icons that display some of the more used controlls. When i test it inside Eclipse i can see if perfectrly. But when i load it inside a browser i get some unexpected behaviour. The images for the image icons that are supposed to be in the tool bar are not visible. I checked the console output but it doesnt give me any permission errors. In the policy file that i placed in the same directory as the .html file i said to give all permisions.
Is there anything i am missing? (My images are in a diferent subdirectory then the ones where the class files are)
I know it is some sort of permission problem but dont know how to work it out. I tried by creating a signed applet too. But i think there must be something i am doing wrong.

This is the code i am using to set the image for the button:

The result i get is the button with all the functionality but it is totaly grayed out without the image. So i am guessing the image does not get loaded.
And the second instance where i am getting the images is :

I am using the second case to load some images and cursors.

1.     Need to check the status of already visible Opportunities (how it is like: open or in process or release)
2.     Need to check the Priority part of already visible Opportunities (how it is like: high or medium or low)
3.     If it has Questionnaire need to check Probability chance of success of visible Opportunities and compare your not visible OPPT,
With these reasons we can find out where exactly the problem is running,
