Azure Files - not useful (for me) in its present form
Not sure where to offer feedback for Azure Files so I thought I'd put it here.
Azure Files looks like an interesting technology but unfortunately doesn't suit my particular scenario. We have files sitting on a VM that we need to get into BLOB Storage so that they can be processed via a HDInsight cluster. I had hoped that Azure Files
would simply be an SMB interface over the top of existing BLOB Storage but it turns out that's not the case, its another area of storage entirely.
What I'd like is an SMB interface over BLOB Storage so that I could simply drop files into BLOB Storage using SMB. Either that or give HDinsight the ability to access files in File Storage as easily as as it currently accesses file in BLOB Storage.
Hope that is useful.
Hi,
Thanks for Posting here and that is helpful.
However, you may post your concern at http://feedback.azure.com/forums/217298-storage which is a feedback dedicated forum.

Shirisha Paderu.

I recently moved and had to disconnect my WD My Pro Edition II 2TB external drive I had been using for backup.
Its been several months (many upgrades to the iMac software during this time), and now when I try to reconnect the external dire (Use a firewire cable) it does not recognize the drive is there. I also tried "reloading" software from the Western Digital site, but after following all the instructions, it looks like my iMac doesn't support this software (I can't even locate it after I follow all the instructions.
Thnaks, for anyones ideas on how I can get this working again.....First of all, you do not really want to use their software; if you want a bootable clone, use either Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. If you simply want to drag and drop some files, you don't need software to do that. The important thing on any external drive is that you format/partition it correctly (Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and using GUID partition scheme).
Unfortunately, I don't know anything about WD drives or their software, so I don't have any idea what kind of backup you did. Having said that, it should still recognize the external even if it's outdated. Have you tried mounting it manually in Disk Utility? If you can get it to mount, you could (worst case scenario) just drag your stuff off onto your internal and then reformat the external. -
"XML File not found for the Container DataBindings.cpx" error after deploy
Hello,
I have a problem with my JSP-Javaproject. Local works all fine but when i deploy my project to a Oracle Aplication Server i allway get this XML-File-Not-found exception:
oracle.jbo.NoXMLFileException: JBO-26001: XML File not found for the Container DataBindings.cpx
In my EAR-File the DataBindings.cpx is at:

My web.xml:

</context-param>
My DataBindings.cpx:

</Application>
What can i do?
Thanks, steveAdding the dependency in the ViewController fixed this for me.
I'm using two AppModules in the controller and the second one wasn't being picked up.
I was able to fix this by:
Go to the Project Properties, select Dependencies, edit the Dependent Projects and Archives, find the model that's failing and add a tick in the Build Output box.
The model should now be picked up in the ViewController's DataBindings.cpx source file, though I did have to restart JDev for this to be picked up.

WL6.1 : Get '404 : File not found' for all WARs
I had some web applications deployed which were running perfectly. Now suddenly
, I get '404 - File not found' for any URL - including the server root, i.e. http://localhost/
I was able to access admin console using http://localhost/console. I checked the
config of each application & couldn't find anything wrong.
Finally I had to re-deploy the WARs to get some applications running.
However, I am still unable to get the Default Web App running - the one handling
server root path.. (I've checked the server config & it shows DefaultWebApp as
the default application).
Any pointers on what could be wrong / correction needed ?
TIA,

External swf file not using URLRequest
Good morning guys.
You can load an external swf file not using URLRequest? Since embed html code is setted as <param value="never" name="allowscriptaccess"/>
I have this problem and I need to load a swf skin
thank youare you loading a swf (done during runtime) or importing one (done during authortime)?
in either case, the allowscriptaccess parameter of the external swf (that your loading or importing) is irrelevant. allowscriptaccess is assigned in the main (loading or importing) swf's embedding html page and is used to control html/js access of the main and loaded swfs.
if you trust the swf you're loading, you can change allowscriptacess to always. if you're importing a swf, none of its actionscript will execute anyway so it doesn't matter whether its trusted or not. -
Can Adobe Premiere and Audition "Royalty Free" music files be used for "commercial" projects?
I apologize for not being able to find this answer on my own but can anybody please answer this: Can Adobe Premiere and Audition "Royalty Free" music files be used for "commercial" projects?
SusieBird
Are you using any version of Premiere Elements? Or, is it that you are really asking about some version of Premiere Pro and Audition?
If the latter, please refer to
Premiere Pro
Audition CS5.5, CS6 & CC
In the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum in which your thread has been posted, it has always been written by others (Bill Hunt, Steve Grisetti) that
Premiere Elements users can use Premiere Elements assets for commercial projects. I do not use Audition, so I cannot speak to the Audition situation.
We are a user to user forum here and not Adobe. The ultimate answers on this would be from Adobe itself to avoid what is written and what is written between
the lines.

Encode Video Files not working for avi files
Hi,
I've been trying to convert some .avi files to apple format using Lion's native 'Encode video files' function however keep getting a 'avconvert: source file not found for source file://fileparthhere avconvert: failed to create an export session. Check setup
I can't work out why as this has worked before in Lion and works fine for other video formats. The only thing I've done is remove Final Cut Express HD and can't add it again as I don't own it anymore
Suggestions? Is there a encoder to make this work or should it work anyway?
ThanksIf you click Yes the project file will be updated when you save it. That has nothing to do with the media.
Are the Lesson and Media folders still in the Book Files folder (or whatever it's called)?
Select one of the clips in the browser and use Edit>Item Properties. One of the first lines is Source. That gives you the file path for where your media is supposed to be located. What does it say? If nothing is there, use the File>Reconnect function and point the application to where the media is located. -

Ipod touch 2g not used for months, battery drained and taking way too long to charge
I had an ipod touch 2g that got wet a couple of months ago. They were inside a jacket pocket when the rain started pouring. After that, the screen only turn white when turned on. I just had the LCD replaced, but since i havent used it in months, the battery has been drained. I plugged it into my PC to charge for a couple of hours already, but its still not enough. The lowbatt icon is there, but iTunes still doesnt recognize it despite being plugged in for a few hours already.
Does it really take this long to charge an ipod touch that has been completely drained and not used for months? I'm worried there might be other problems besides the LCD when it got wet before. Should I have it checked again for battery charging problems? Or am i just being impatient?I tried charging it through the adapter, still got the same problem. So i had it checked again and the battery apparently also needed to be replaced. Haven't had any problems with it since then!

Any Ideas?Hi,
please explicitly "make" the project. One reason for this problem could be that the model.cpx isn't created properly. Select the model project and compile the complete project before deploying it. Sometimes it helps to clear the "class" directory of the project on teh file system before re-compiling

JBO-26001: NoXMLFileException
Cause: Could not open the named XML file for read.
The following is from Note 137429.1. Hope this helps.
Raja.
JBO-26001: NoXMLFileException
Cause: Could not open the named XML file for read.
Action: 1. Make sure that the file is present. In particular, if the file is to be found in a zip/jar file, make sure that the Zip/JAR file is included in the CLASSPATH.
2. This error is also reported if the name of the XML file does not match the object Name specified in the XML file. If the file system support case insensitive file names (e.g., Windows NT), make sure that the file name matches the object Name in the XML file in case-sensitive fashion.
3. For a .JPX file, this error is reported if the JPX file is missing the JboProject XML tag. Check the JPX file to make sure that the valid tag is in there.
4. One XML file may be extending another XML file (specified by the Extends element in this XML file). This error is reported if the base XML file is not found.
5. When loading the XML file for a package (JboPackage tag), this error is reported if some unexpected error occurs while loading a containee.
In all of the above cases, a more descriptive message may be printed on Diagnostic. If you are not seeing Diagnostic messages, you can run your application with Diagnostic turned on, as in "java -Djbo.debugoutput=console ...", to see Diagnostic messages. -
Following a software update, I can no longer access/authorise music purchased via iTunes from my old Apple ID, which I have not used for 8 years, and no longer have password. Any ideas how I can re-access/recover that music?

My Macbook Pro purchased Dec 2011 has suddenly become very slow after not using for 2 weeks (close to frozen). What is the problem and how to solve it?
Need Help Ye,
boot your MacBook Pro into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the Mac OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Is it still very slow?

Why is the Mac USB 2 port speed so much slower than PC? Transferring the same data from USB drives is up to 3 times slower, is this a MAC thing, or is there a bias to Firewire support?
