Azure preview portal won't load
Since yesterday, when loading the Azure preview portal, I get the following result:http://i.imgur.com/KTXBUOw.png
So far, I tried it on Chrome (mac+win), Safari (mac) and Firefox (windows), across 2 different internet connections. (always on the same macbook though) I also cleared cookies, cache etc.
Any idea what's going on? At first I thought it was some kind of outage, but since it's going on for 2 days and I cannot find info about it, I guess it's on my side.
Hi All,
First, please check your browsers and devices, The preview portal will run great on modern PCs, Macs, and tablets. Mobile phones are not currently supported. The latest versions of the following browsers are supported:
Internet Explorer (10 and up)
Safari (7 and up)
Chrome (Latest)
Firefox (Latest)
Safari 6 and lower is not supported. If you're using OS X, you can either use Chrome, Firefox, or upgrade to OS X Mavericks to get Safari 7.
If your issue has nothing to do with
the above, please try to connect with Azure support in azure preview portal.
Hope this could help you.
Best Regards,
Jambor

How long before user returns chart in azure preview portal
Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to add "How long before user returns" chart from VS Online AI dashboard to the azure preview portal. Any advice how to do that?
Thanks,
PVTry out these steps on Azure Preview Portal:
1. On Application Overview blade select Users chart
2. On opened Metrics Explorer blade select grid under charts
4. In "Group by" combobox select a property by which to group the average time before user returns.
3. In chart details select metric "Time between sessions (Avg)"

Updated to 2014-now preview files won't load
I render all my files, close Ppro and when I re-open the project, I get the red bars and have to re-render everything. Clearly I can't continue on this way and my research on this forum hasn't turned up an answer although I see that others have had the same problem. Ppro has been very stable for me on my Win 7 system up until this 2014.2 update.
This is a real show stopper for me. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks.I found the file and deleted it. I now get a cache directory choice window but the program still hangs on the intro screen. So, still no run.
Thanks. -
Application Insights for load testing in VS 2013, Azure Preview or Visual Studio Online?
I'm trying to get some clarification on which version of application insights to use to get performance counters from application insights for my azure cloud service for load and performance testing purposes.
So far, its not be clear what the differences between the two versions are, after deploying first the Azure Preview version, I attempted to set up performance counters using application insights but was shown an error because my visual studio online account
did not have an associated application insights instance.
Is it possible to get performance counters using AI for load testing using the Azure Preview version? If so, how? If not, is that planned as a new feature or will performance counters for VSO cloud based load testing have to be used when support for the
VSO version of application insights is eventually dropped?
Thanks,
LukeHi Alex, thanks for your response. I do have an Azure account, and have tinkered with AI in Azure Preview. My question was more about what the differences between the VSO and azure preview versions of AI are.
When I initially deployed AI to the azure portal and tried to run load tests from visual studio (cloud load tests, that is) I could not. Its possible I had made a mistake in configuring the azure version of application insights though. Strangely enough,
I actually do still see application insights data in the azure preview portal after I removed the newer AI version and installed AI 1.3.
To clarify my question, is it or will it be possible to run cloud based load tests (using visual studio online or another integrated service) against a azure web role deployed with application insights for azure and get performance counters of the system
under test via AI? To do that, will I also have an application insights application in the visual studio online account (similar to how I do now with the VSO version of AI), because that seems to be a requirement to load performance counters from application
insights within visual studio.
Thanks and sorry if I misunderstood your answer. -
Adding users to roles in the new preview portal (new RBAC feature) does not work
When I click the Invite Users/Add button for any of the 3 roles in the new preview portal, the page doesn't load and instead, it instantly redirects to an HTTP 520 error page. Can anyone please look into this and fix it? It's been this way since last week,
which is when I checked it out but it is quite possible it has been this way for longer.Hi,
It seems there are some issues in azure preview portal, please note this portal is in preview version, if you find some issues, please try to contact with azure experts, here is azure support channel:
http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/support/contact/, it is a good choice for you.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Preview Portal: SupportSubscriptionDetailBlade_UnknownSubscription notification
Hi,
This isn't a problem as such - more of a "heads up" in case it hasn't been reported.
For the last few days when we load up the preview portal we see a warning notification appear with the following text:
Title: SupportSubscriptionDetailBlade_UnknownSubscription
Message: SupportSubscriptionDetailBlade_UnknownSubscription
This appears if we hover over the Notifications button, or when we load the Notifications blade.
Thanks.Hi,
I couldn't reproduce this issue, if you have detailed steps to reproduce this issue, please post here or submit to azure preview feedback:
http://feedback.azure.com/forums/223579-azure-preview-portal , your suggestion are important for us to make the azure preview portal more better.

Bug in preview portal doesn't display database list in back up section
There seems to be a bug in the website back up option in the new portal. Even if you have connection strings defined it says:
"You don't have any databases defined in the connection strings for this website"
Unless I'm doing something wrong?Hi sir,
Do your try it on Azure manage portal (https://manage.windowsazure.com )? Azure preview portal currently is preview version and no support approach. So you can confirm this issue on manage portal. If it always
has this error, please feel free to let me know.

Will

Specs:
iMac 10.8.5
3,4 GHz Intel Core i7
32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Can't read or write some files, internet is failing, youtube won't load, security software I tried to install was in Slovenian, not dutch or english like in my systempreferences settings, pictures and files won't preview with spacebar and are randomly corrupted, when I entered something in the Youtube searchbar (when it was still working) it send me to a site with sexadds.
I tried restart my iMac and when I was logged back in, my dock preferences were reset.
Also tried to download some security software to check my Mac for malware, but when I did, I tried several, I got a notification that said something like 'dumpfiles (don't know if this is the right translation...) damaged'.
I'm taking screenshots from all the weird notifications I get and even three quarters off the screenshots I took in the last three hours are already unreadable.
It started this morning when I tried opening a Premiere Pro file on which I worked the night before.
When I tried opening it, it said the file was damaged and could not be openend.
I tried opening it with AE or importing the file in a new project but nothing helped.
When I tried looking for autosaves, this is the really weird part, there were none.
Even though there are autosaves from my other projects, this one was completely gone.
It looked like the day before never happened on my computer.
Also when I openend Premiere all the recent projects had been wiped.
So at first I thought it was a Premiere Pro failure.
But than, later on the day, I tried loading some RAW files from my compact flash card.
This is where I would get an error (error -36) which said some data cannot be read or written.
I tried importing the files with a view different technics, from dragging to importing via Lightroom and I succeeded with Image Browser.
But when I tried moving the files to an other folder the same error occurred.
While dealing with this issue I wanted to put on some soothing music on youtube.
This is when the next weird thing occurred: youtube wasn't completely loading in Chrome. I refreshed a view times, checked the internet connection and still no difference.
When I tried in Safari it did work but when I clicked enter on the searchbar in Youtube, a page with sexadds appeared (I didn't install AdBlock in Safari...).
I read about this 'phishing' where you are redirected to a site were a possible malware installment can take place...
I don't know if it's connected to any of the problems I've been having but I just never experienced this on a mac, I have been a Mac user for 10 years now.
On top of it all, internet started working worse and worse and now it's not even working at all. I had to fill in the password over and over, normally it remembers.
Just like my system preferences, all the preferences I had with Chrome where also reset.
Also somewhere in between I got this notification: Mac OS X must restore library to run programs. Type your password to allow.
To me this is all very weird and suspicious. I have clearly no idea what's going on. Could this be another sort of trojan horse or malware?
Some background info which could be helpful for solving this mystery:
two months ago the one year old Fusion Drive in my iMac just broke out of nowhere.
I got it replaced by a qualified apple repair store.
When I got my computer back, all the files where gone.
I got on the internet without AdBlock installed yet.
A game or whatever it was, can't clearly remember, got installed by accident.
I deleted it immediately.
Only two weeks later, I couldn't log in to my account. It didn't recognize my password and username.
So I brought my mac back to the store.
Here the repair guy said it was a minor thing and he just needed to reconnect my account. He also mentioned he found a downloaded game name Sparta and it probably had something to do with the error.
I asked him; could it be a virus? He replied no way.
I don't know why I couldn't be a virus, just because it's a mac doesn't mean it cannot be done.
So today I tried installing anti virus software (such as avast- was in a weird language looked like slovenian, clamxav - was in slovenian) but I couldn't install them.
PLEASE help me! I don't know what to do anymore, I work fulltime and I need my computer, I have no time to bring it in for repair, are there other perhaps easier ways?
Could this be the work of a virus or a malware? Or is it a disk permissions issue? It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:
http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/baddns.php
http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/hackedrouter.php
If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?
(Fair disclosure: I may receive compensation from links to my sites, TheSafeMac.com and AdwareMedic.com, in the form of buttons allowing for donations. Donations are not required to use my site or software.) -

Open Finder
Click on GO in menu and a list box drops down
Press the ALT key (This will show the Library folder int he drop down list box that appeared)
Click LIBRARY which opens another list of folders
Click CONTAINERS which will open the container folder and should show a Textedit and Preview folder.
DELETE both these folders
And that's it!! -
I'm running Mavericks, version 10.10.2. Preview won't load at all. I am able to get it to load when in test mode but not in my own user mode. What's up?
10.10.2 is Yosemite.
Do a backup.
Quit Preview.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Remove the following. You may not find them all. Restart and test.

Hey,
We have two boxes set up with 9iAS, one with infrastructure and the other with portal/wireless. when we try to access our portal box using http://<computer.domain>/pls/portal we get the 403 forbidden error w/ the message "You don't have permission to access /pls/portal/portal.home on this server.".
We have tried to reactivate all the services on the portal box as well as those of the infrastructure box using Enterprise Manager, but to no avail. Any recommendations?
BborieThere are a lot of files that won't load.
http://cmweb.pvschools.net/dsmsweb/Site/Students_files/Students.js
http://cmweb.pvschools.net/dsmsweb/Site/Media/winkingmascot3.gif
http://cmweb.pvschools.net/dsmsweb/Site/Studentsfiles/shapeimage5.png
are a few.
It's either the webpage or the webserver (FirstClass®) that has trouble serving the files. Based on the info [it looks like it favours MSIE|http://cmweb.pvschools.net>.
Check with FirstClass®. -
Management Portal unavailable - "cannot load management data for this resource type"
Noticing that with the exception of virtual machines, every resource type in the (non preview) Azure Management Portal is showing a sad pink icon and the help text "cannot load management data for this resource type."
So that's a near total portal outage for us. Anybody else experiencing this?
I've attempted to open a ticket with developer support but I'm not sure if that's the right channel.
BrianHi Brian,
Thanks for your posting!
From Dashboard shown (http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/status/#history), Currently, the Azure portal works fine in every regions.
So I suggest you can submit a tick via this channel:
http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/support/contact/
Also, you can click your right-top account name and select the "Microsoft Support" item to create free ticket.

ADFS SSO not working correctly on 'old' portal, but works fine on preview portal
We recently configured an AADSYNC and ADFS 'connection' between Azure and our on-premise environment.
When i log into the preview portal everything works fine, I'm being redirected to our ADFS proxy server and I get authenticated and logged into the portal.
However, when i try to login to the 'old' portal (manage.windowsazure.com), after entering my username i get redirected to a forms based webpage of our ADFS environment. When i enter my credentials there i get logged in to the portal so, however I houldn't
be getting a web based login page.
I am ofcourse trying this from the internal netwerk, the address of our ADFS server is being resolved to the ip address of the internal ADFS server (otherwise logging into the preview portal should also display the web based login page).
When i go to portal.office.com ADFS is also working fine, no web based login page is being displayed, so it's really just the manage.windowsazure.com portal thats acting strange.
(I'm trying all this from the same computer, in the same netwerk environment roughly at the same time, and this also happens on other systems and with other users).
Any ideas?I'm having the exact same issue. If you look at the AD FS server, you'll see a 164 event logged when you try to log in to the old portal. Something to the effect of:
Relying Party:
urn:federation:MicrosoftOnline
Exception details:
Microsoft.IdentityServer.Service.Policy.PolicyServer.Engine.InvalidAuthenticationTypePolicyException: MSIS7102: Requested Authentication Method is not supported on the STS
I have a case opened with Microsoft, awaiting a call back. This just started, and I don't understand AD FS enough yet to know what to change, or if I should. -
Can't create new Mobile App on preview portal
Hi all,
I'm really excited about the new Mobile App feature in the preview portal and want to get started on something. I went to the portal, clicked in to create a new Mobile App and entered the name and service plan then clicked create. The dots started blinking
and then nothing happened. I've tried it in Safari, Chrome, and IE with the same results. I've tried it with private and non-private browsing. My account is a Partner subscription that allows $100/month in Azure credits. Has anyone else had this problem? Any
idea how to mitigate it and get to coding my new mobile app? Thanks for any help!
jaredThe restriction has been removed. You should be able to use any valid name for your resource group now.
I was unable to create a mobile app using the defaults. I had to create a new service plan and Resource group.
Also, the docs on resource groups give me a 404. I have no idea what a resource group or service plan even are.
