B 590 broadcom wifi active but cannot be switched on. Fn F5 switches airplane mode :(

My B590 from June 2014 was delivered with W8 but my dealer exchanged it for 7 home premium on purchase date and with that my wifi always worked fine.
I got 8.1 on a stick in case I wanted to upgrade which I now did (and already regret, what a piece of MS junk!).
Problem: the usual Fn F5 switches airplane mode on/off and the switch for wifi which is located beneath is always GREYED and OFF. Bios checks OK, Wifi is on, driver is installed OK and update say latest driver already installed.
I tried to go back to the W7 driver but I cannot change the driver - even if I de-install the original driver the installation of the new one breaks at the last stage. I have also d/l the latest from lenovo but that only comes as exe file, I can not manually extract the inf file from it.
what to do?

If not:
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

Then:
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Wifi connected but cannot get access to internet

I have my macbook pro with ma os x mountain lion10.8.2
bu I have a problem with connection
when you activate the wifi it show WIFI CONNECTED
But umpossible to get acces to internet, why?

Shutdown the computer.
Power off the router. Wait a while.
Power on the router. Wait until all the lights are lit properly.
Start up the computer. Try to connect to Internet.

Finally activated but cannot sync...

After trying 3 hours finally phone is activated, but...
it doesn't sync with itune.
It just give the same screen before 'accessing itune store' and nothing show up under iphone category in itune except "iphone".
Anyone have this sympton?

For example, if the main viewer mode is Stack mode, then the stack pick is green, the motion left and right cursors do nothing (beep), and multi-selection is not possible. While this is useful if you want to do stack operations, it's annoying if you don't, and it's not possible to switch to multi-select off without either going to the main viewer and changing it, OR (oddly) double clicking on a non stacked image and that goes to the main viewer AND changes it.
Ideally you should be able to switch main viewer mode even when you are in browser mode.

TC wifi ok, but cannot connect to HD of TC

I have had my TC now for just over a year without any problems. Since yesterday I cannot access the HD on the TC anymore. Wifi is working fine, green light is on and I have tried a reset (hold reset till amber light flashing) Is there anything else I can do to try to find my 2TB worth of space? Help

The Time Capsule disk should appear there. If in AirPort Utility you select the Disks panel, Disks tab, the window should show you first an entry for "Time Capsule Disk". If the "disclosure triangle" is open, you should see the drive itself. If you don't see that, try pressing your ear to the top of the Time Capsule to see if you can hear the disk spinning.

I am in France on vacation. My iPhone connects just fine but not my iPad. Wireless shows full strength on both but no Internet on iPad only. Already reset network connections and tried to forget network and try again. No luck.

2.0 complete and activated but cannot sync

I guess put me in the dumb and dumber category. . .really should have waited!
My phone is working and is 2.0, but I am unable to sync. When doing the restore I get "An error has occurred while restoring this iPhone (-36). All my notes, contacts, texts are there, but no music, movies or ringtones. I then try to sync and get "The iPhone cannot be synced the required file cannot be found.

I have a similar issue. I updated the other day, and now I can't even get my iPhone to appear in iTunes. I get the spinning beach ball of death.
When I unplug the phone, I get a message that says "the disk cannot read or written to" -- over top of the iPhone setup page with all the tabs. Rebooted the phone a couple times, nothing. Phone works fine, just can't get it onto iTunes to load my apps.
Works fine with iPhoto, though. BTW, how do I tell my system to stop booting iPhoto when I connect the phone? I'd prefer it started iTunes.

I hope you do use a password otherwise you have an unsecure wifi network which could be abused by other people

My airport is active but cannot be found by my MAC devices?

Hi there, I have the following issue. My airport express is active and found by my router. It also shows a green light. Unfortunately all of my MAC devices can't find it. The airport config utility indicates that the airport device can't be found. Is there someone who has an idea. I am still using IPv4 by the way.

Good wifi-signal, but cannot go online

This appears to be a common difficulty -- a search via Google produces an enormous number of queries.
All of the queries attract the same range of answers, but seemingly without producing any 'if-all-else-fails' answer.
Is there such an answer for those of us that have tried all of the standard recommendations without getting a result ?
Might the answer be 'It is time to invest in a new router ?' If so, which router might be recommended ?

Strong wifi connection but cannot connect to Internet after upgrade to ios5

After upgrade to ios 5, my iPad 2 connect to the wireless router just fine. However, it take forever to connect to a website. Following suggestion from someone, I switch my router off then on, it work. But after a day, the problem came back. Switch off and on the router solve the problem again..
This connection problem appear periodically since, it is very annoying.
Anyone know the reason for this connection problem and any solution?. thanks a lot.
