B/S Issue : Closed FY

Hi Folks, Need your expert advice...on the following issue :
We have done the Year end closing for FY 2009 for our assets in Jan 2010. But we have already reported out Balance sheet in Dec 2009 for FY 2009. Now, when we have closed the FY 2009 in Jan 2010, system postes some financial entries related to Depreciation difference between area 01 and area 02 on the balance sheet. Now the business thinks its not acceptable..as what we see in SAP for the BS 2009 contradicts what we have already reported to the authorities.. So, we need to change this situation in SAP...i.e. correct these postings ( or infact cancel these postings that have happened due to this depreciation difference between area 01 and area 02 in the Fy 2009 ) so that the BS 2009 shown in SAP would match what we have reported.
Now the real problem is that : THE ASSET FISCAL YEAR IS ALREADY CLOSED AND ALSO WE CANNOT MANUALLY POST ANY FI ENTRIES FOR THESE DEPRECIATION DIFFERENCE GL ACCOUNTS AS THEY CAN BE POSTED ONLY INTERNALLY. SOLUTION THOUGH OF : Now, We see that probable solution would be re run the Depreciation for FY 2009 again by opening period 12 2009 so that the depreciation differences calculated wrongly would be gone.( But is this kind of suggested or acceptable ). In the Other case, should we do an ASSET WRITE UP OR TRANSFER POSTINGS to negate the postings that have already happened. One more thing..I want to clarify is that : THE REASON THE DEPRECIATION DIFFERENCES OCCURRED BETWEEN AREA 01 and AREA 02 is because both of them had a different depreciation key in FY 2009( somehow they had diff. dep keys which was wrong as told to us by the business and they discoverd this situation in 2010 ). So, we corrected the Dep keys for the two areas in FY 2010 ....But for the FY 2009 , when we closed the FY 2009, the depreciation differences already got posted in the Balance Sheet.
REAL PROBLEM IS THAT WE WERE ABLE TO CORRECT THE DEPRECIAITION KEYS IN THE ASSETS, but WE WANT TO CORRECT THE WRONG POSTINGS THAT HAVE TAKEN PLACE IN FY 2009 ( i mean the Financial postings that took place.. the GL accounts that got posted are Acc. depreciation difference account and dep. difference account ). We also cannot manually reverse this FI entry , as these postings happeend automatically.. So i see..probable solution is reopen the FY 2009 and carry out a repeat dep run ?? Or do a ASSET WRITE UP OR TRANSFER POSTNGS FOR THESE GL ACCCOUNTS? I am not an expert myself but seek the guidance of the experts here to resolve our issue.. HP Probook 4540s - Windows 8.1 - Battery issues - Closing unexpectedly

Hello,
I have a 1 year old HP Probook 4540s that recently has the following problem.
When unplugged the laptop suddenly shuts down even tough the battery shows 29% still remaining.
I receive no notification from Windows or anything, it just shut downs like when the battery reaches 0%.
Then in order to start it again, I need to plug it in.
Is this a known issue ? I previously didn't have any battery problems and running the HP Assistant informs me that the battery is ok and it doesn't need replacemants.
Any idea how to fix this issue ? Basically the laptop is dead at 28%-29% battery life.

Issue closing mobile safari's top webpage

Hi everyone,
I'm a webdeveloper and I'm facign some problems using JavaScript.
I have a routine that opens the navigator and reconfigure it(remove some bars, resize the navigator and another small things), it runs ok when I use Safari for PC and for Mac, but the situation doesn't repeat in Mobile Safari for iPad.
When I try to run the same routine in iPad, the page blinks and close itself when I allow the pop-up manager to open the webpage, I read in the internet that some navigators don't allow to close the pages that aren't opened by script, for example(window.open("url")).
How can I handle it?
I tried to use this alternatives:
- window.close()
- self.close()
- this.close()
- top.close()
- self.window.close()
- function anyfunction(){
     window.open('', '_self', '');
        window.opener = 'x';
        window.close();

I have the same issue on my phone and I think it may due to the latest software upgrade. I use to be able to add a safari shortcut on my home page by hitting the "+" key and then tapping on "Add to Home Screen". However this function is no longer available on my phone. My wife's phone still has it because she has not upgraded her software yet. I have restored my phone as a new phone but that did not solve the problem either. Would appreciate any help from the forum.

In iSupplier Portal, it will call Workflow to send a notification for notifying buyers about the registration of supplier.
We can see the workflow process set(named: POSSPM1 : POS Supplier Registration and Profile Management) using Workflow Builder.
We are able to create a copy of a specific process and then modify the notification message, save as a new process.
BUT, we can't find where to setup the workflow to using the new process.
Is there any setting can help us to use the new process?
Or the process name is hard-code in OAF controller program??

Issue closing an app

I am not able to close my apps. Please help me.
When I double tap the home button I get all the apps that are running, I hold any one of the app I get the '-' sign on the apps. Now when I touch the '-' sign nothing happens.
This feature used to work before for me.
Can any one help me resolve this issue?

All apps available when double clicking the home button are not running. This is also a recently used apps selection.

Issue closing window

hi friends,
I have created a WD Java application for a UWL work item. The application opens in a popup window. I want to close the window once the action is performed in the window. From the other related threads I learn that the usual approach is to have a HTML with a javascript code to close the window and assign this as a source to an iFrame. This doesnt work for me. Could be because it runs in a portal environment. I dont know. Is it possible to open a child window from here and get the instance of the parent window?

Issue Closing the Dialog Window

Hi to all,
I am working on two applications.
After logging in to the first application by giving the username and password I can continue in the same application or I can switch to the second application.
Except the login page all other pages are coming in a new window as I have set the useWindow property to true for the Login button.
If Iam working on the same application and clicking on the Logout button Iam able to return to the parent window using the code
returnfromDialog(null,null)
but if Iam switching to the second application and clicking on the Logout button Iam unable to return to the parent window(ie the first application Login page ).
Can any one please help me out to solve this problem

CF Builder 2 slow on closing files issue

This is an old issue that still has not been resolved
When closing a file on CF Builder 2 it takes a long time for the file to close. This used to happen on Windows XP. I have a new PC with Windows 7 and reinstalled CF Builder 2 but the issue closing the file continues.
I have to do the following for that to stop.
Closed CF Builder
Renamed the file workspace\.metadata\.plugins\com.adobe.ide.editor.cfml\foldings\foldings.data
Started CF Builder
However, after few hours CF Builder 2 becomes slow again when closing the files.
Is there any fix for this issue other than the temporary solution above?

Charlie, thanks for your time and information responding to this issue. They were helpful to track down what the problem is.
Based on the information you gave me above I noticed the following.
Under the Progress View what I see when closing a file are messages related to building workspace as the picture below shows.
As for folding.data file, I followed your advice and opened in a text editor. The file content has, like you said, some binary data, but also contains the strings "file:" followed by the full path for the files that I closed. I looked at the size of it and it was 11k with about 11 lines. Then I started to open and close some file and noticed that CFBuilder was writing the names of all the files I close to the folding.data file, which increased the file size. Now the file has 14 lines and 14k. The previous folding.data files had size varying from 38k to 87k. I also note that the CFBuilder was not appending the most recent files to folding.data as the path for the most recent closed files were in the middle of the file content. It seems that CFBuilder was not only updating but re-creating the file with the previous content and the string with the new file path in a random fashion.
When I said that the closing of the files is initially faster and then gets slower, I meant to say that is faster when I delete the folding.data file and CFBuilder creates a new one. As CFBuilder starts updating the folding.data file it gets slower. After that it continues slow even in between CFBuilder sessions.So I think that might be a threshold related to the file size that makes the process of closing files slow.
I don't think the problem is related to memory as I already had the Show Heap Status view on display and even when there is not much use of memory closing the file is still slow.
At this point what it looks like is that the process of closing a file inside CFBuilder updates the folding.data file and when that file reaches a particular size, it takes some time to actually close the file as if CFBuilder was waiting for the folding.data file to be updated. What intrigues me is the fact that this behavior happened in w different PC's so it has to be something related to the setting of CFBulder in handling the closing of files.
I was wondering if there is some sort of setting related to closing files in CFBuilder.

MBP (13-inch, early 2011) goes into hibernation instead of safe sleep upon closing the lid (only when using battery power)

MBP details
13-inch MacBook Pro, early 2011 (model identifier: MacBookPro8,1)
Running Yosemite, OS X 10.10.1 (however, problem started while using Mavericks)
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB memory
Symptoms
* the MBP goes into hibernation instead of sleep upon closing the lid on battery power (i.e., when AC adapter is NOT connected)
-- problem does not occur when AC adapter is connected
* putting the computer to sleep by other means does not induce the problem; these other means include:
-- [i] option+command+Power,
-- [ii] Apple Icon --> Sleep,
-- [iii] in Terminal: pmset sleepnow
* the battery is NOT getting drained at all; if I close the lid on 87%, the battery is still at about 87% when I get the MBP back up and running
To be as clear as possible:
(1) MBP is on and in use (power source: battery); battery is at X%
(2) the lid is then closed
(3) the battery indicator light glows bright for about 10 seconds, then shuts off, and with it so does the MBP (all fans and sounds cease)
(4) opening the lid and pressing any key on the keyboard does nothing (the computer is not sleeping)
(5) to turn the MBP back on, I must hit the power button once; this brings up and the gray screen and loading bar indicative of returning from hibernation
(6) log in; battery is still at X%
Attempted Solutions / Fixes
There are Apple Discussions addressing similar MBP issues, many of which at least have work-arounds, if not full-blown solutions. However, I have tried many of the proposed work-arounds and solutions; nothing has solved my problem. Such attempted solutions include:
* made sure EFI/SMC firmware was up to date
* updated all software
* logged in as a different user
* booted in Safe Mode
* reset the PRAM
* repaired disk permissions using Disk Utility
* repaired additional disk permissions in recovery mode (a la this chron.com advice)
* ran the Apple Hardware Test multiple times (short test while plugged in, short test on battery, extended test while plugged in, extended test on battery)
* booted from an external known-good OS on USB drive
* reseated the RAM
* used MemTest to test the RAM's health (it was good)
* tested my battery's health with the app Battery Health (it is healthy!)
* booted my computer with one stick of the MBP's original RAM at a time (figured "why not?")
* booted my computer using other sticks of RAM
* checked my power management settings using PMSET in the terminal (e.g., pmset -g); tried various hibernation modes (e.g., sudo pmset -a hibernationmode X, where X=0,1,3, etc)
* searched/grepped through my power management logs and Console messages to look for googleable items (e.g., pmset -g log | grep WORD, where WORD=failure, sleep, etc); still have not found help online
* brought the MBP to a Mac Genius
-- he ran some further tests, but found nothing;
-- he re-installed my OS as a hopeful-hail-mary-just-maybe-last-ditch effort; the problem persisted!
-- we both agreed that we had ruled out a software cause
-- he offered me to leave my MBP to get fixed for a flat fee of $300.00 (which after a couple weeks of trying to figure this out is starting to sound more and more reasonable)
Given that it is likely not a software issue, what hardware might it be? By booting from an OS on an external drive, I think I've ruled out a bad hard drive or hard drive cable. Also, given that inducing sleep in any way other than closing the MBP's lid does not cause the problem, it seems there might be a wire (or something) in the hinge section of the MBP that gets moved when the lid is closed possibly causing some kind of short circuit...or something.
If someone with more experience interpreting Console messages, for example, can help, I'd be happy to provide some logs, or any additional information.

Ok, this is a crazy-simple, quasi-embarrassing fix, but I'll post it anyway just in case anyone is having a similar problem (for example, this guy: Changes to pmset being ignored).
Some time around late last August / early September (2014) this issue began happening for me (specifically, issue = closing lid while on battery power induces hibernation / shut down instead of sleep --- independent of hibernation mode). Maybe it was when I upgraded to Yosemite (not sure what the exact date of that was). As detailed in my original post, I frantically tried everything I could think of... At that time, however, I had quite a few presentations and posters to create and present at meetings and conferences, so I held off fixing it for a couple of months and returned to it this past week, where I tried a few more things listed above, but again to no avail...
This morning, I simply tried fudging around with all my power management settings again (via pmset in Terminal). The simplicity of the fix surprised me. But now that I understand it, I know it is likely the same fix for other threads I've read, such as the one above:
(TLDR in bold)
(1) Take note of your power management settings (Terminal: pmset -g custom)
(2) Is the "standby" flag set to 0? If so, set it to 1. Wa-la! Done.
This fix is crazy and embarrassing b/c I was so close to it for so long. I tried changing my hibernation modes multiple times (sudo pmset -a hibernatemode X, where X=0,1,3,25,etc). I read about manipulating other PMSET settings that helped other people with newer MBPs, like "autopoweroff" and "autopoweroffdelay" --- settings that I do not have on the MBP early 2011 (check your settings: pmset -g cap). And most amazingly of all, I even messed with the "standbydelay" setting, trying to make it so long that my computer should never go into hibernation... Yet, from what I can tell by looking over my notes, I never simply set "standby" from 0 to 1.
There are interesting questions that arise due to this fix. For example, why did this problem persist on clean installs of OS Yosemite? Is "standby" being set to 0 the Yosemite default? I'm not sure. If it is, then Kappy was right: this was normal behavior... It just wasn't always the normal behavior...at least not for my MBP. Normal behavior (hibernatemode 3) used to be (and now is again) that the MBP goes into safe sleep, and then only after an allotted amount of time will it go into full-blown hibernation.
NOTE: the "standby" and "standbydelay" PMSET settings are not available in some earlier MBP models (e.g., my brother has a 2010 and does not have these settings); so if you're having a similar problem with an earlier model, this fix might not be of any help to you.

Closing value negetive at mb5b

While checking day wise opening/reciept/issue/closing of diferent material at [MB5B], We found closing qty is negetive.
I have checked negetive stock indicator at material level and it's not set. For beter understanding kindly see the mb51 report for the perticular material.

In this case pgi has been done on 26th but posting date was 25th. My question is material was available on 26th but how could system allowed pgi on 25th. Is there any configuration problem?

Dear Kaushik
In normal circumstances, if stock is not available on a particular day, you will not be able to do PGI for the same date, if you have made the settings as "Negative stocks not allowed".
However, if you want to restrict users changing the "Actual GI Date" (due to this change only, the inventory value will get changed), apply the BADI definition name is LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC method name is CHANGE_DELIVERY_HEADER. Here you can write a code in such a way that the above said field cannot be predated with the help of ABAPer

Material Movements Issue

I have prob in Reporting total Stock o a given day.
the Pro is
We intialised the data using 2LIS_03_BX
and the movements through 2LIS_03_BF
and we are not using revaluations UM.
Now for Ex the query is asking for inputs
Material, Plant(Optional), Keydate for Data Selection.
based on the key date for user enters (Example 01.02.2009 to 16.02.2009) we need to get the closing stock on 16.02.2009 and opening stock on 01.02.2009.
We have field Zclosing in which we have closing stock for that material on the day of trasantion.
I have more than 1 STORAGE LOCATION for every plant. at the end i need to get plant wise subtotal for both the storage locations(eX

Use Valuated stock qty - 0VALSTCKQTY Key ffigure and restrict with 0CALDAY and give constant value
31.01.2009, for opening stock, because 31 Jan 09 closing stock is oprning stock for Feb 09.
And then for Closing stock Valuated stock qty - 0VALSTCKQTY and restrict it 0CALDAY and give Variable entry by user or for testing gibe constant value 16.02.2009 and check it.
Check the values with ECC in MB5B and becasreful while executing it i ECC. Select Storage Location/Batch Stock and give storage loaction and dates and execute it. And check it with BW report Opening and closing stock in MB5B give Date from 01.02.2009 to 16.02.2009

Nokia 822 People 'Listing' Issue

I am trying to sort my contacts in 'People' by Last Name, First without success. I have selected both 'Sort by Last Name', and 'Display names by Last, First' and the list still displays as 'First, Last'. I double-checked my entries to make sure they are correct (i.e. Last name is in fact in last name field). Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to 'fix' the issue by using Verizon's Backup Assistant Pro to back up my phone's contacts (PEOPLE) and then selecting each entry to be sorted 'Last Name , First Name' . This corrected the entries in the Backup Assistant app which then synced with my phone - correcting the entries on the phone. Thanks Verizon for a good tool. Consider this issue closed.
