B110 wireless configuration lost every printer turn off

Every time I turn off the printer, the printer lost the wireless configuration, so I have to reconfigure the wireless network access every turn on, is there a way to save the setup?

I believe this is a bug in the firmware. Make sure your firmware is up to date (Setup > Preferences > Update Product) and wait for a fix.
Until then, just leave the thing on. It goes to sleep and uses very little power (almost the same as when it is turned off).

I have a WRT54GC, and our wireless connection to the x360 is lost anytime we turn off the PC.

I have a WRT54GC that is hooked properly to the cable modem (adelphia) according to all literature... but, our wireless connection to the x360 is lost anytime we turn off the PC, which shouldn't happen. The router is connected directly to the motor. modem. We can be on line on with the pc and x360 at the same time and we have the internet connection. But both connections will also free from time to time on us. The cable HSI was just installed and we are new to this. Any assistance would be great! I'm taking my laptop home this weekend to see if I can get on wireless with it. Also (sorry) all the lights are working as they should according to the router software, but when I put the cd in ran the wizard, it tells me it can't find the router connected to my pc. I'm going batty with this. Thanks.

Hi ... Mac address cloning is enabled on my router - so I guess that could be a problem, and the filmware version is 1.02.5 - we just installed this thing and haven't done any type of upgrades.
A little history - adelphia didn't connect properly - turning off the pc killed the wireless router connection and then if I hooked right into the cable modem from the pc, I didn't get a connection. So, we unplugged everything and started out fresh following the install wizard and the pc now sees the router. After that, my laptop didn't lose it's connection when the pc was shut down either. So ... the xbox was next. It seems that when we have the WEP enabled, the xbox 360 can not connect to xbox live. We did a media test first it passes the connection to the wireless network and takes the WEP key, but it fails when looking for the IP address. All DHCD information is enabled. So, we disabled the WEP and ran the console test - and it passed. We then did the media test and it obtained the IP address this time, but then failed the media connect (whatever the next test is). Not sure we actually need the media text or just the xbox live test.
I'd like to be able to use the WEP security, but we can't go live when it is enabled.
We are new to this, so appreciate any assistance!

MG 3250 new printer turns off automatically after a few seconds.

My printer was just bought yesterday, a new one. It could turn on at the beginning, but while I started to setup the wireless connection, I got a problem installing the driver on my laptop so I turned off the printer. After this the printer never turned on properly. Everytime I press the power button, the printer turns on for a few seconds, the scaner lights up and toner moves a bit, then it shuts itself down.
I totally have no idea what happened and have no clue whether it is the board issue or setting issue. The toner was stuck but I have fixed it, not helping with the turn off issue tho.

So I did call Apple. That was pointless since they had no idea what was wrong. I made an appointment with a Genius at the Apple store nearest to me. The associate who checked me in said his wife had the same problem (and discovered it while on an 8 hour flight, which stinks).
The genius who helped me was great. He had no idea what the issue was and hadn't heard of the issue before, so he took my phone into the back room and ran some diagnostics.
He found that there was nothing wrong with the hardware at all, but he noticed an error with my firmware.
He restored my phone (while my phone was plugged into itunes he held down the home and wake/sleep buttons. Then when the apple logo appeared he let go of the sleep/wake button but kept the home button pressed). This erased everything. I wasn't worried about that since all my contacts, apps, and music were backed up on my computer.
I guess he reinstalled the latest firmware and os update. He put a couple of albums worth of music on there too for me to test it. Problem solved.
It took an hour or two for me to get everything back onto my phone and in its proper place.
That was a pain, but worth it since I can now listen to music freely with no interruption.
The only thing I'm really ****** about is that my game data is all erased. Apparently when you back up your apps in itunes, it doesn't back up your progress/saves/scores in your games. I have about 30 games on my phone so this really, really *****. I guess I will just have to replay all the levels in Angry Birds, Peggle, Cut the Rope, etc. Lost a lot of progress in Infinity Blade which is pretty especially awful.
I just listened to about a half hour of music with no interruptions though, so I guess its a fair trade.

Printer turns off even though is connected on MacBook

Hi all,
I got my dad a MacBook to replace his Dell. A lot of complains aroused since the switch and managed to answer most to him. However, one I cannot figure out is the following.
When we had the Dell we left the printer connected to the laptop and the Printer remained ON at all times. Now with the MacBook the printer goes off after 5 minutes of the last print and we are forced to turn it on every time we need to print.
The printer, if it helps, is a HP deskjet 5550.

Hi Dibo,
It is possible that the printer and computers are connected to two different routers (networks). If the printer is connected to the same router as the computers, it could be connected to a guest SSID while the computers are connected to the main SSID.
One way to check is to compare the network settings reported by the printer on its network reports to the settings the computers use to connect to the internet.

Today I have purchased my first ever MAC. (IMAC 20/2.0/1GB/250GB/SD-GBR)
When I set this up I want it to work on my ethernet wired LAN, should I 'turn off' the Airport Express thing ?
I do not have wireless, and am not likely to have.
Any suggestions ?

Yeah, turn off your wireless. It won't stop you from connecting to your ethernet, macs search for available connections and connect to them in the order of priority you set in your networks preferences - but even if airport is highest, it will still find your ethernet and use that if no airport is available.
So you could leave it on and it would make no difference, but I say turn it off because airport uses power! Save the planet.

Epsom R2400 Printer - turning off color adjustment in CS3

Printing very well with R2400 in CS2 but.....
In Photoshop CS2 there was a button to allow Photoshop to control the color printing by selecting it and later to select 'no color adjustment' This worked out great.
In Photoshop CS3 I can also select Photoshop to control the color management but the images come out wrong. Cannot find ' no color adjustment button.' CS3 Help says "turn off color management for printer profile settings.' Where or how do I do this?

HI Ramon, After PRINT and in the Epsom R2400 dialogue box (layout page) there are only the following selections offered:
Color matching (nothing available to select)
Paper Handling
Paper Feed
Cover Page
Printer Features (use for my selections but no ability to to turn off color management)
Summary
In CS2 there was a color management Dialogue Box and I selected NO Color management and printed with confidence,
Am I missing something here? Do you use Match Print Colors?

Wireless button on dv7-1245dx turns off by itself

My wireless button turns itself off and the volume bar appears on the screen and the speakers click. Is there any way for me to bypass the wireless button with a function key? Because no matter how many times I try sometimes it wont turn back on.

Well, I have tried everything that you have indicated, including re-starting the eMac from the Tiger installer DVD and going to the Disc Utility and repairing the disc (nothing wrong) and repairing permissions-- lots needed corrections-- anyway, I still get the issue--- when I try to locate the eMac on the home netwrok, it looks like it hooks up for a second or so then I get a yellow triangle with an explanation mark in it saying the network is interrupted--and when I go into the system preferences the Personal File Sharing button is unchecked--- weird !!!
Ok, here are a couple of other interesting items-- when I go to the Go menu item and scroll down to the Network command, it will open a box for more than a split second the first time-- then not at all after that.
Secondly, when I do try to access the eMac, I do not ever get the little Connect to Server box asking for the short name and password to enter (??)-- also weird.
Any other suggestions--- this eMac was recently totally re-built-- new hard drive, new memory and new logic board-- (Seems I had a serious power surge in my office and it fried everything) -- I even had to re-install my printer and scanner software-- !!! Thanks for any suggestions.

Why does the printer turn off after a few hours of sitting idle?

After a few hours of no use the printer (HP 7510-e aAll-in-one series) turns itself off. To print I have to turn the printer on.

Have you tried a "DFU" mode restore as new, without restoring from a backup?
If my question leaves you lost let me know and I will explain but essentially it returns your phone to it's "Out of the box condition".
This method has worked for me an many others albeit not everyone.

Printer - turning off the print fax log

I have a Officejet pro 8600 e-all in one. Im wondering if there is a way for me to "shut off" the print fax log? I don't need this sheet to print every time I send a fax?

No, fax machine don't automatically clear the fax log.
Besides, the fax log usually doesn't stop the machine from receiving faxes, it uses a very small amount of memory. Typically, a fax machine stop receiving fax if you choose to save fax itself in memory, and the device run out of memory. What you have to in that case, is delete the saved faxes (and may be print them first or forward them to computer, if the fax machine is capable).

My HP Photosmart wireless ePrint will not print anything off my computer....

It will print a network test and says its connected to my wireless network. A box also will come up on the screen saying printing but then a box comes up that says unable to print. I have tried to restart my comp. I have ink (and paper lol) and nothing has worked. I have ran the trouble shooter as well as the utility tool. This printer is only a month old.... if that.

I wish I had better news, but if you've gone through all those steps and it didn't resolve the problem, you can replace the printhead and if that doesn't resolve the problem, you'll want to have the printer serviced.

Why is the iPhone 4 can be powered off when the phone is password protected? The find my phone is of very little use it a thief turns the phone off.

As soon as the phone is switched on again and logs into the mobile network, you can track it again, unless it has been restored.
Restoring and switching off the device can't be protected by a password.

Delete your network and let Windows auto-configure a new one. And seriously consider actually getting rid of Norton... Even when you shut down all the "visible" features, security programs still are active in the background and influence specific operations...
