B1400 non-root does not display/monitor temperature

I have root and non-root B1410 bridges. The root bridges will show temperatures in the GUI. The non-root do not. They show a WARNING: No Reading temperature monitoring is at 'INITIALIZE' state. What does this mean? I have not been able to find any reference. Other than root/non-root parms, I see nothing that is different in these configurations. They are in remote locations and temperature reporting is needed.

Photoshop window does not display unless connected to external monitor

I use a MBP connected it to an Apple Cinema Display used as an external monitor (not a dual display) when in my studio.
When I use Adobe Photoshop CS 5 without the monitor the image window does not display on the MBP. If I plug the external monitor in, the window is displayed correctly on the MBP. Photoshop is opening and "displaying" the image window offscreen. Nothing gets it back onscreen, except plugging in the external monitor.
I often use Photoshop away from my studio so this is a big problem. PShop is essentially unusable unless connected to an external monitor.
Is this a known issue?
Any workarounds?
Any ideas?
There is a previous discussion on this topic from January 2012, but it remains open and unanswered. Hoping there are some new ideas. Thanks for the help.

The MacOS still thinks the second display is available and valid -- so Photoshop puts the documents on the last used display and the OS doesn't give any errors.
Once the OS notices the change in display configuration, Photoshop should go back to the main display and force images and dialogs back to the main display.
Applications rely on the OS for the display configuration, and sometimes the OS gets confused or holds onto outdated configurations a bit too long...

RH7- Insert action does not display window to select the file.

I have a nightmare situation with RH7 with no clue to resolve. What are my options to fix this
I am having trouble with robohelp, selecting insert action does not display the pop up window. This prevents functions such as inserting images & files, importing files and creating hyperlinks to documents created in word, frame maker.
when I perform this action, the pop up window appears virtually but is not visible to make the selection and RH freezes.
I have to end the process or press esc to find some work around - so far none available
Please help.

Welcome to the community.
Have you recently gone from a dual monitor setup to a single monitor? When this happens, RH can sometimes keep tossing dialog boxes over where it thinks the second monitor is. I typically use a program called ForceWindowVisible (get it here) to push wandering dialogs back into view. Give that a try and see if it works. Hope this helps,

[Solved] nm-applet does not display in normal user's panel

I installed Arch Linux yesterday. Today, I am trying to get some of the refinements working. I installed OpenBox as a standalone window manager. I got several things working exactly the way I wanted as root, such as networkmanager, nm-applet, and pypanel. When I startx as root, the nm-applet is properly displayed in the pypanel.
Then I discovered that I could not run an X application as the normal user without first running "xhost +" as root. At this point, it dawned on me that I am not supposed to run startx as root, but as the normal user. Duh!
So, I thought I set up everything the same way for the normal user. When I startx as the normal user, OpenBox runs, nm-applet runs, and pypanel runs, but pypanel does not display the nm-applet icon. I can now run my X application as the normal user, so that is good.
My .config/openbox/autostart file is exactly the same for root and my normal user:

(sleep 3 && /usr/bin/nm-applet --sm-disable) &
nm-applet was started by this code, because ps -ef shows it running and owned by the normal user:

I have now switched to tint2 from pypanel, anyway. It is much cleaner and easier to use. At least in my opinion.

MENU item selection does not display drop down in ITS enabled transaction

Hello,
We are experiencing a strange behavior between two portal env.
1. DEV.
For example we have transaction MM01 display in the Portal via ITS (integrated). The end user can select the Menu Tab and the System Tab and the drop downs appear as expected.
2. Prod
Same scenario as above. Only this time, end user is unable to select the button. The Menu and System Tab dont appear greyed out but selecting it does not display the drop down.
Material, Edit GoTo Defaults are some of the links under the Menu tab for MM01.
Very confusing. And this is the behavior in Prod for all transactions. Any ideas on why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.
The architectural difference is that DEV has no Web Dispatcher versus Prod has the Web Dispatcher.
We are on EP 7.0

Thanks. Now, I realise this may cause dismay to some, but I have now solved the problem, and just wanted to share my experience with those even less savvy than myself. In Dreamweaver, the Spry css styles are arranged with little or no hint as to which style controls what. I found that there is a rule in the sub-menu styles that controls the little graphic arrows which indicate that there are dropdown subs under the tabs. I had removed these arrows to make way for my background images. However, the rules that control their positioning by percentage were still there, causing my images to display incorrectly. Of course, there was no way anyone could have spotted this and helped me as the fault was in the external spry css file, not the page code. So many thanks to vw2ureg for looking anyway. Regarding the page code, which you have flagged up, would you mind elaborating on what you see wrong here? I'm none the wiser. Many thanks again.

Video does not display when sending from Final Cut Pro to Motion

Suddenly, when sending an audio & video sequence to Motion, a new Motion file is created, and all my layers come in properly, but the video does not display.
The audio plays fine, and Motion clearly know that there are video tracks there, but it does not display them.
Additionally, when rendering the Motion file back in FCP, it turns in to black video.
I have previous sequences within the same project that were sent just fine, and are editable properly, but any new ones I try to create just come out black.
Help, please?

Do you have Motion mistakenly set to render out with an Alpha channel?
Double click your Motion clip in the Timeline. Go to Modify > Composite Mode in the menu bar and set the Alpha to "None/Ignore".

Preview does not display pdf properly

I have OS X 10.5.8 and Preview 4.2. Preview will not display a bank statement properly. Most of the content is missing. I initially thought this was the bank's fault, but the pdf statement displays OK on my work Mac using Adobe Acrobat Professional. On Preview, howerver, at work (OS X 10.4) it also does not display properly.
Can anyone suggest a fix, or does Apple read these discussions...? Thanks. Graham

"Preview is meant for previewing PDFs generated by OSX applications for printing.
OSX uses its own code to generate and display PDFs, not Adobe's code.
Adobe has been adding features to its PDF code that is used by some non-Apple software.
PDFs generated by such software may not display correctly with Preview, but will work with the latest Adobe Reader."

Fifefox 5 does not display web sites properly, firefox4 does

My website www.auraltronics.com has a javascript menu that does not display at all on my laptop W7 - 64bit, Firefox5, yet it displays properly on other browsers, such such as Chrome, and IE. Also it displays properly on my desktop running XP and Firefox4
On my laptop I also see font display issues at other websites such as Grassroots.org

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.

Image does not display have editing

I'm wondering if anyone is have this issue. On some of pictures after I make an edit (i.e. crop, spot/patch, etc). the image does not display. If I switch to full screen the updated image displays. When I switch back to the browser and viewer mode the image does not display in the viewer.
This problem certainly makes editing pictures quite difficult.
Any help would be great!!!

Karsten, thank you for your response, but the problem still seems to exist. I rebuilt my entire Aperture library then started to generate new previews. The rebuilt library and new previews work fine, however, again if I make an edit to the image and the apply the change the updated image does not display. If I resize the image in the viewer the image appears.
This seems to be a very weird problem.

OS 10.9 Finder sidebar suddenly does not displaying proper contents

OS 10.9 Finder sidebar suddenly does not display most items; only shows couple items I don't even want there. Can change what shows in first finder window but sidebar not responding to "Preference" changes. Screen shot is what it shows now. I downloaded a Yahoo widget and their widget player app today, could that cause this?

I did force quite finder--> no effect.
Finder uaed to list in "sidebar" each of the main folders in HD i.e Documents, Pictues, Downloads, Movies, Applications...(I get same window contents open if click on HD icon as when clikc on Finder). Now none of that.
Just now went back into preferences and unchecked everything in sidebar section. If I check for it to just show HD then everuything does show up but several windows to the right and HD icon is all that shows in sidebar but only if I first then click on (in order across the open windows: Users then geoffreylevens1 (system name).
If recheck items they do NOT show up in sidebar. See attached

Settings Manager box does not display

I recently uninstalled flash player and installed the latest version. Although flash player works fine, the Settings Manager box does not display. I only have this problem on Firefox 3.6.10, it works fine on IE 8. I am running Windows XP 32 bit.

I have tried uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling. I have also tried disabling AV and firewall.
Although I cannot see the SM box, I can right click on the white space to access the local settings. Turning off hardware accelleration did not help.

I can't really help, just want you to know you're not the only one with this problem. Just saw another thread with the same.. and well.. got the problem here as well.

Finder in Yosemite does not display files

since i upgraded to Yosemite i have been having a problem with finder displaying files. if i save a new file to my desktop it does not display until i logout and log back in. when i open any folder other than my desktop nothing is displayed. i just get a spinning wheel in the bottom right corner. if i list the folder in terminal all the files are displayed. i did not have any these issues with mavericks.

I'm getting the same result - both with 10.10 and with 10.10.1 Beta. The finder will display the main HD root, but nothing under it - except the Desktop. New files on the desktop require a log out-in cycle to appear.
Other apps that normaly have file system access also will not show second level files. Launchpad only shows "Loading Applications", so it looks to also not be able to access the apps directory.
Other drives do not have this problem - only the main system HD.
The dock also seems to lock up quite often...

Siebel Charts gets generated but does not display in the Web client

Siebel Chart is getting generated in NetChart4.6\Server\root\projects\Siebel.chart folder. However does not display on the Web client
There is either no error displayed on the front end...
Also note that Charts is installed on Windows environment and Siebel Server is installed on Linux Server

We would need to have traffic captured when you are actually executing actions. The tools like fiddler etc will help here to track the traffic.
I would suggest you open SR with MOS since it will need some analysis on network trace like fiddler. You can refer this thread in SR as well, so that once issue gets resolved thread will get updated with solution which will benefit others.

Text does not display in address bar or any windows I open

Text does not display when typing in address bar. When I open a window (eg Edit > Preferences) no text is displayed within that either.
Problem has persisted through Ubuntu 12.04 (possibly 11.10) to 13.04. Has also remained after re-installs, both through use of Software Centre, and through Terminal commands, and after running purge of all firefox content.
Running Firefox as root using gksu command also doesnt help.

Have finally solved,
1st checked default system fonts available using unity-tweak
Then went to ~.mozilla/firefox and found prefs.js file, deleted everything to do with fonts and families, saved and restarted.
The odd thing is how this file persisted despite removing and purging firefox.

MessageChoice does not display

I have created a tableLayout inside an existing seeded page, and inside that I've created a messageChoice. The messageChoice has a Picklist View Instance and Display and Value Attributes set, and the view instance is created and attached to a custom AM. The AM is attached to the tableLayout. There is a custom controller for the tableLayout region, which I have also specified on the container cellFormat for the messageChoice.
I have checked the vo -- it does return the rows I want when run in the BC4J tester. The rows are not for update -- just for populating the picklist.
The messageChoice does not display. I don't know why, I believe I've followed the directions in the dev guide. Perhaps one of you has an idea what might prevent this from coming up?
I did notice that even though the AM for the containing cellFormat item is my custom AM, when I look at the picklist under the debugger when executing the controller's processFormRequest, I find that the view object is attached to the page's AM, not the custom AM.
I also noticed that if I access the picklist as above, the "ViewUsageName" attribute is empty. I'm guessing that this is the root of the problem, but I don't know why it should be empty if the Picklist View Instance field is populated, nor do I know whether this is in fact the primary issue.
Do I have to do something in the root AM to make sure that my AM is instantiated? If so, can this be done somewhere declaratively? If not, at what point in the root AM code do I do that?
What else might I look at to ensure that my picklist is populated and renders?

- how did you add this table layout to the seeded page ?
- you donot have to attach the controller twice once on the tableLayout and the cellformat ?
- what are you using the controller for ?
Picklist View Instance and Display and Value Attributes is enough to populate the picklist. The ViewUsagename and ViewAttributeName is used to push the user selected value back in to any given datasource. If the tableLayout has a AM then the custom AM will be automatically nested to the rootAM.
