B1TC (Business One Test Composer) is available!

B1TC (Business One Test Composer) is an automation
testing tool for B1. It provides a simple way to record
and replay scenarios for testing purposes, but it can
also be employed in many other use cases. It complements
B1DE and B1TE to form a complete set of development and
testing tools.
You can download it from SDN at
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20cc36a1-b156-2910-eeb5-ac489e306242.
As usual the setup comes with the source code as well,
under the SDN license schema. The setup contains all the
user documentation and also internal design details.
We have created a SDN Blog for B1TC at
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/5004. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
This blog lists the latest news and limitations found in
the current version of the tool. You can also use this
blog to give us feedback: we are interested in your
opinion!

Strange...
I have installed Intrastat addon in my machine and I started it.
I have B1 2005 SP01 PL12 and instrastat version is 6.80.01.30 (the last one I have found)
Are you working with the same versions?
If I try to record the same actions as you:
1. Click on Sales-A/R menu
2. Click on Sales Order menu
(it opens Sales Order form)
3. Stop recording
I can only see 3 lines (your first 3) and not the Set Matrix lines...
In the matrix columns for the UDFs I cannot see any Formatted search associated... if I press Shift + alt + F2 there is not FS.
The only explanation can be the B1 or addon version?
Or do you have an extra configuration?
Regards
Trinidad.

  • SAP Business One v8.8 (PL12) - Upgrading

    Hello Forum
this is my first post so apologies....
I am trying to establish a SAP B1 v8.8 test environment on a 'offline' server. I am encountering 2 issues when installing/upgrading...
    Original environment:
             HP ProLiant Server
             5gb RAM
             Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise Server
(Service Packed and Updated from Windows Update)
    Firstly,
SAP Server Tools / Server / Client will all install using a base of PL05, I can then upgrade this to PL10 (both of which were supplied by our Partner) - I operated on this PL level for a week or so with no trouble what so ever. Later I recieved PL12 on a disc from our Partner and went through the upgrade process from PL10 to PL12.
This failed showing 'Creatordll.DLL' error straight away when the process started to upgrade the SBO-COMMON database. I could see the Server Tools get upgraded first and then the SBO-Common database getting backed up and as soon as this has completed the error happens. The upgrade then rolls back (Restores) the SBO-Common and then stops advising also that the Server Tools will need a manual restoration.
MS Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package was the only reference that I could find on SDN so I followed the instructions here.
    Amended environment:
             HP ProLiant Server
             5gb RAM
             Windows 2008 Enterprise Server
             (Updated from Windows Update)
    Secondly,
When attempting to troubleshoot this problem, the directory "C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One Server " has only the B1_SHR available in Windows Explorer. When I check this against our LIVE environment using SAP B1 2007a the same directory has "B1_SHR \ DI API \ SAP Business One DI API \ B1iServer \ B1iSetup" listed.
When in the PL05 or PL10 environments SAP operates perfectly fine despite the fact that there is no other directories showing here. The base install and upgrade to PL10 completed without error so I had no need to investigate the SAP Business One directory until PL12 failed.
I'm hoping that someone in the Forums can help me out with these issues.
    Thanks

    Hi Garry,
I would suggest you to download the latest installation package on 8.8 PL10 which is available on the Service Market Place. In order to solve the issue with 'Creatordll.DLL' please follow the steps from the Note [1408662|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1408662]. Issue could be caused due to missing Microsoft ATL security patch.
    hope it helps,

  • Running SAP Business One on a 64-bit server

One of our clients wants to upgrade their server to a 64-bit server running Windows Server 2008.
What are the implications of this and do we also need to then use Microsoft SQL Server 2008?
I went to this web link: https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/smb/sbo/platforms and found some info, but the questions I still have is the following:
    1. If we upgrade to SQL 2008, do we have to buy licenses or can we also just get an installation from SAP with our software (if we've gone live over 2 years ago already on SQL 2000, then upgraded to SQL 2005).
    2. Can we still stay on SQL 2005 or is it better to use SQL 2008 and what is the implications?
I found the following on the link posted above:
Mar 11: SAP Business One 2007 now supports Microsoft® SQL Server 2008.
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is now fully supported by SAP Business One 2007 A (as of patch 47) and SAP Business One 2007 B (as of patch 10), including SAP-developed add-ons.
Jan 21: SAP Business One 2007 now supports Microsoft® Windows Server 2008.
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is now fully supported by SAP Business One 2007 A (as of patch 46) and SAP Business One 2007 B (as of patch 09), including SAP-developed add-ons. 64-bit and WTS support are still pending and will be announced when available.
What exactly does the bold part mean?
Any tips/hints on making this decision will be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Adele

    Hi Adele,
"64-bit and WTS support are still pending and will be announced when available" means that Windows 2008 64bit has not been tested working with SAP Business One yet. Thus not supported (yet).
    Same applies to W indows T erminal S erver 32bit and 64bit.

I am not sure if procedure as described in note [928839|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMSZ3PTU4ODAwMDAr)/bc/bsp/spn/smb_searchnotes/display.htm?note_langu=E&note_numm=928839] will apply. In order to get excact clarification I have asked the owner of the note to update it reagarding MSSQL 2008 licenses.

Yes, you can still stay on MSSQL 2005 and upgrade later to MSSQL 2008. The other way around will not work. MSSQL 2008 is currently supported only as of SAP Business One 2007 A PL47 or SAP Business One 2007 B PL10. • Business One in Clustered Environment

    Hey Guys,
I was wondering if anyone has any documentation with regards to running Business One in a clustered environment. We have a client who is asking questions about running Business One in this type of setup.
Are there any documents available on the SAP support site or anything that speak to this?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi!!
I tested a Dell solution for fault tolerance. This kind of machine makes an internal administration of the MAC Address and the disks, the power supplys, so, Windows never notes if one of the two machines, or net address cards or hard disks are down.
SBO works fine in this kind of machine.
I think that any enviroment where the MAC address is replicated and the Hard Disk can be swapped in hot, the Hardware key does not change, so, the license server will not have any problems to run in there.
    Hope this help.

  • Business One & Business Suite ( ERP ) Integration

    Hi,
I'm looking for the official alternatives from SAP regarding the integration of SAP Business One and SAP ERP ( 6.0 ECC ).
I know there is a SAP Business One version 2005 Integration for SAP Netweaver, but the question is if this alternative is standarized, works fine and if it requires custom development of any type or if it's just plug and play.
Is there any other documentation or experiences available with this alternative, or other alternatives available.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Lisa your answer!
I changed the company database in SLD -> B1If -> B1DI section. Tested the connection and everything is OK in the Integration Framework.
Tried in SBO client. At the login no problem, no error message, but the dasboard show this message:
    SAP B1iP detect an error:
    Emitted HTTP-Code
    500 - Internal Server Error
    Internal Reason
Did not supply an appropriate user-ID integer (Param6):
    Remonnendation
Check the correctness of your activity or environment or ask your system-administrator for further help.
I checked the dll and database version, there are OK, 880230.
Restarted the Integration service and try again, but could not connect the B1 dashboard.
Try the hungarian demo database which have B1i user, and I met same error messege than the test database.
Other important thing in the test database than I see. It has not B1i user, but has B1i1, B1i2....etc.. to B1i40.
Is this normal? I try to create B1i user and the B1 say: This user exist in database table.
    Have you got any idea?

  • Delete SAP Business One License to Install another kind of license

    Hi everyone,
In our company we are making some test in the SAP Business One 8.81 version.
In our test server we use to have 8.8 with professional license but now we are trying to test 8.81 with Starter Package License.
I delete everything from SAP 8.8 including the previous license, then we install SAP 8.81  but when I try to install the Starter Package License the system show a warning which say Cannot mix B1STARTER with other SAP License.
Can anyone help me with this?
I need to test this new kind of license but I don't know what to do to install it correctly.
    Thanks

    Hi,
All B1 licenses are available here :
    C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One ServerTools\License
you can delete all previous version licenses there. The file name is to delete is B1LicenseFile-00202xxxxx. After delete, you can import B1 starter license.
If not succeed, you must request new license of B1 8.81 to partner.

  • Installing B1 Test Composer

    Hi Trinidad
Thakns a lot for your first response.
Please find here my innitial Question:
I am Walter, a project manager from resource AG, a SAP consulting company in Switzerland.
Here in Switzerland we are using more SAP BestPractices. Nevertheless Iu2019m interested on the test Tool which was developed in the context of SAP B1.
    I have downloaded version 2.0 an 2.3.
With both Iu2019ve got some problems.
 V2.0: Error when starting to record: Error 80040154
     V2.3: is always asking for .NET V1.1. I have already V3.5
On the SAP Community Network I could find your content to Version 2.0 of the Test Composer.
Therefore Iu2019m hoping to get some support from you:
    I have Windows XP SP3, .NET 3.5 SP1, Visual Studio Express2008
Is there a chance to get this tool running, or what is your proposal?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
    Best regards.
    Now your answer:
SAP B1 Test Composer tool needs to be run together with SAP Business One version 2007, do you have SAP B1 installed in the same machine and running before you press record?
In SDN the latest version delivered is V2.0, where did you downloaded version 2.3?
Maybe you will need .NET Framework 1.1 as the installer was created with VS2005, you can just install it in your machine (even if you already have .NET 3.5).
Please find here my response to your answer:
We do not ha a B1 system. I was on the opinion, that B1 is a "normal" SAP R/3 and based on this, I was hoping to be able ro use the Test Composer also with a SAP BestPractices installation??????
The noxt point with the .NET 1.1!
As I mentioned, I have .NET version 3.5. Nevertheless, the installation tool ist asking for 1.1!
When I'm trying to install version1.1 I get the error, that a newer version already is installed on my machine!!!
Thanks a lot in advance for your support.
    Regards.
    Walter

    Hi Walter,
SAP Business One is an application that is not an SAP R/3 component. It is a standalone software application (connected to a database and specific license server for B1)
The Tools that we have developed for B1 cannot be used with other SAP ERP systems and then cannot be used with SAP Best Practices.
If you don't have SAP B1 installed in your machine you will not be able to run any of the tools published here for B1, sorry.
There is an application called B1i that allows to connect B1 systems to SAP R/3 information for Headquarters using R/3 and subsidiaries using B1. SAP R/3 components and B1 application are completely different and separated.
    Best Regards
    Trinidad.

  • Sample questions for Business One certification

    Hi
I am looking  some sample questions for SAP business one implementation consultant certification exam.
please Gurues , help me in this matter. I am going to write certification in next week
    thanks
    Preeti Sati

    Hi Preeti,
the test is not that easy, I found that I really had to read the questions carefully & the multiple-choice answers even more carefully. Some of the answers initially looked as if they were saying the same thing & I needed to look twice to discern the tiny difference. It's these tiny differences that made it difficult, in my opinion.
Generally, I thought it touched on most aspects of 2007, with particular emphasis on the enhancements from lower versions. But if you have a good understanding of the product, look at all the e-learning & also, very important, at the available ETS & documentation, you should do well.I found the e-learning a bit limited & definitely benefited from the other materials available on the SMP.
    Good Luck!
    All the best,

  • Crystal Reports Dynamic Parameters with SAP Business One

Okay, I've got this very strange issue with dynamic parameters in Crystal Reports connected to SAP Business One.
Let's start with the software versions:
    - Crystal Reports 12.3.0.601
    - SAP Business One 8.8 (8.80.231) SP: 00 PL: 13
    - Windows XP SP3
(SBO Server on Windows 2003 and SQL 2005)
What I'm about to describe is something I've tried in several reports and for which I created a very, very simple test report to see if it was reproducible in a very simple situation.
    - I connected to a Business One server through CR's SBO connection type. Logon is successful, tables are shown.
    - I pick OCRD and plac CardCode and CardName in the details section on the report. Previewing the report shows data.
    - I create a dynamic parameter on CardCode and in the Select Expert I select the CardCode field and define that that should be equal to the parameter.
    - I preview the report again. Now it asks me in such a parameter screen for logon credentials. It shows the server and database it tries to connect to and in the username it shows the SQL Server username I used to connect to the SQL Server in the first place. However, the password for that user is not accepted. I also tried to login with the Windows administrator user and with the SBO manager user, but no success with any attempt.
I also tried to add a static parameter and add all database values to the list. Same screen, different result:
    Crystal Reports 2008 wrote:
    Logon Failed.
    Error in File UNKNOWN.RPT:
Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. (rptcontrollers.dll)
(On a side note: the report is saved as report1.rpt)
Anyone else got similar issues and found a solution?

    Hi,
When you have fixed your crystal installation following the note posted earlier, please take a look at the [how to guide|http://service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700000882232009E.pdf] and also at the [e-learning|http://service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700001370262010E] about SAP Business One 8.8 and Crystal Reports.
There are so called "tokens" which you need to use instead of dynamic parameters.
Dynamic paramters don't work in SAP Business One 8.8, if they are not defined as a static paramter with token.
    Best regards,
    Darius
