B2B Account Self Registration

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to provide b2b account self registration on the B2B log on screen. I knew that this is not a default functionality provided by SAP.
I would like to know if there is any work around for this. Can I use Channel Partner registration with B2B?
Please let me know if you have configured/customized any similar solution.
Many Thanks,
Srinivasu

  • Partner Self-registration in Oracle B2B 10g

    Hi B2B team,
    Wanted to confirm from you if there is any provision for Partner self-registration in Oracle B2B 10g. We are on the latest patch. I am not aware of this functionality but wanted to get this confirmed from the product team.
    Also, we will require a server restart when a new TP comes onboard in Oracle B2B 10g isnt it? Is my understanding correct or is there something we can do to overcome this?
    Regards
    Kavitha

    Kavitha,
    Drop a mail to B2B product dev team/PM to know more on this part. As far as I know there is no such facility in 10g. Yes, bounce may be required in case of certificate changes involved.

    Did you set the organization, before approving the Task. The Approver needs to specify an OIM organization in which to create a user.

    We are in the middle of an ISE deployment.  We are currently on version 1.2, Patch 3.  One of our use cases for ISE is Guest Access.  I am trying to understand more about self registration functions in ISE.  What are the capabilities? Can a user access a self registration page, enter credentials such as an email address, or phone #, and receive an email or text message with the guest account credentials?

    yes Guest can acess self registration page and enter his name company email phone etc...and do self registration and can get the credentials via mail and sms

  • ISE 1.2 Self Registration

    Hi
    I have set up self registration on an ISE 1.2 and am using a customised portal.
    Everything works OK except for one annoying element.
    Although I have assigned a time profile of 30 days as a test - the self registered accounts always expire after 5 days.
    Any ideas about this?
    Regards
    Roger

    Hi Roger,
    I have done this before and don't recall having issues. Can you post some screenshots of the ISE guest configuration and time profiles screens?
    Also, what patch are you on?

  • Help using Self-registration feature in 9.0.2

    I have set up self-registration, selected Approval Required & then Configured it. As a member of a group that I created I cannot reject a users request to create their own account. I can do this successfully as the 'portal' user. My error is the following:
    (WWS-00000)
    Unexpected error encountered in wwsec_oid.delete_entry (50: Insufficient access) (WWC-41417)
    What privileges do I need to add to my group so that I can accept or reject users requests? Thanks!

    It seems that you are trying to deploy JPDKv2 portlets on Apache which is fundamentally wrong. Portlets developed using JPDKv1 are deployed on Apache
    while those developed using JPDKv2 are deployed on OC4J.
    You can dowload the latest JPDKv2 from
    http://otn.oracle.com/software/htdocs/devlic.html?http://download.oracle.com/otn/other/PDK.zip The downloaded pdk.zip contains full details of deploying portlets developed using JPDKv2.
    If you want to leverage the Apache infrastructure, you will need to make ur Portlet JPDKv1 compatible & then deploy it
    on Apache. You can visit
    http://portalstudio.oracle.com/servlet/page?_pageid=2743&_dad=ops&_schema=OPSTUDIO It contains articles that should help you get started with JPDKv1.
    Hope this helps.

  • ISE guest self-registration Client Limitation per day

    I deployed ISE with guest self registration on the Web Portal.
    I want the guest (ex: AndroidPhone with Mac address: xx:xx) to be able to get 1 hour of internet access per day.
    I know that using Time profile I can limit the guest to 1 hour of access, but how can I give the guest access each day.
    Requirements:
    --- I want to make this phone create only one account. ( How can I limit his mac address from creating new accounts when his account will expire in one hour)?
    --- After 1 day, I want to give the same phone access (I dont mind if it is a new account or the same account as the day before)
    How can we make this happen? Otherwise, everytime the account expires, the phone will be able to auto-register with a new account.
    Thank you

  • Self-registration and the WWSSO_API_USER_ADMIN package

    I am using the wwsso_api_user_admin package to build a self registration JPDK portlet for my client to be run on the Portal Welcome page and I have a few questions. Just so you know, I am using Oracle 8.1.7.1.1 and Oracle Portal 3.0.9.8.2 all running on Win 2000.
    1. The package spec ssoumgt.pks is not clear as to which warning codes and exceptions can be returned or raise from create_user. All the other procedures in that package have explicit comments about which warnings and/or exceptions can possibly occur, but create_user does not. It makes sense that it would return OK_SO_FAR and DUP_USERNAME, but are there any other return codes and/or exceptions?
    2. The package spec ssoumgt.pks also states that the create_user procedure "will raise an exception if a dupicate user is created." During my unit testing, I only recieve a DUP_USERNAME warning when I try to register a username twice. Is there a similar exception, and if so, what causes it to be raised? The phrase in the spec also makes it sound like the duplicate username is created anyway before the exception or warning is returned. I suspect that the package has change, but someone forgot to update the comments in the package spec. Can you clarify this?
    3. In Portal, under Login Server Administration, I have set the Login Server configuration to disallow passwords to be the same as the user name and required passwords to contain at least one numeric digit and one character. However, these restrictions are not enforced by the create_user procedure in the wwsso_api_user_admin package. I can even supply a NULL password and the account is created in the login server. Is this a bug or am I not getting something?
    Thanks,
    Dennis

    are you working with 9iAS portals?
    portal_sso (or portal30_sso) schema was used to be in the 9iAS system. in the 10g family, it was replaced by orasso which resides in the infrastructure db.

  • Self registration request and approval process

    We are looking to implement self-registration with a bit of workflow when we move to Portal 10.1.2 A system where a user requests access, their request is approved (or denied) by another person and then an account is created with appropiate permissions.
    We are currently using an Excel spreadsheet e-mailed back and forth, we have begun designing the process with standard forms and reports in it's own schma, but the last piece will still need to be manual (creating the account).
    Does anybody know of a way to automate this process of account creation?
    Does Application Server 10.1.2 self-registration have similar capabilities? if so, where could I look to learn what it can do?

  • Cisco ISE users self-registration Time Zone

    Hello, everyone!
    I'm configuring ISE Guest portal and I wonder why I need to choose time zone while in self-registration? Where is it used? And how can I disable this parameter from the self-registration page?

    Time profiles provide a way to give different levels of time access to different guest accounts. Sponsors must assign a time profile to a guest when creating an account, but they cannot make changes to the time profiles. However, you can customize them and specify which time profiles can be used by particular sponsor groups. Beginning with Cisco ISE 1.2 time profiles are referred to as the account duration in the Sponsor portal.
    Cisco ISE 1.2 includes these default time profiles, which replace the profiles available previously:
    DefaultFirstLoginEight—the account is available for 8 hours starting when the guest user first successfully connects to the Guest portal. This replaces the DefaultFirstLogin time profile.
    DefaultEightHours—the account is available for 8 hours starting when sponsors first create the account. This replaces the DefaultOneHour time profile.
    DefaultStartEnd—sponsors can specify dates and times on which to start and stop network access.

  • Portal authentication failing intermittently post self registration

    We are in the process of upgrading from EP6 to EP7 and have hit a critical authentication problem that is proving difficult to diagnose and resolve.
    Our self registration process leads straight into user logon:
    1) the user fills in the registration form with their user ID, password etc and selects Submit which creates the user ID in our R/3 user store
    2) the user is presented with text informing them that their registration has been successful and a Proceed button which when selected authenticates them with the portal with their newly created user ID
    Step 2) above is working intermittently in our EP7 system - sometimes the process works exactly as expected others an exception is raised (com.sap.security.core.logon.imp.UMELoginException: USER_AUTH_FAILED).
    It seems as though the cause is that the user creation process has not completed fully before the logon step.
    We tried implementing a wait step (10 seconds) following selection of the Proceed button which reduced the incidence rate of the problem but didn't cure it entirely.
    A possible contributing factor is hardware performance as we are testing the upgrade on an impact analysis system which is not as efficient as our live portal landscape.
    I've pasted the code which performs the authentication and extracts from the DIAGTOOL portal logs below which show the login module configuration (SAP standard I believe).
    Any help/advice what to try next would be greatly appreciated as we are running out of ideas.
    Thanks,
    Alan

    We tried implementing a wait step (10 seconds) following selection of the Proceed button which reduced the incidence rate of the problem but didn't cure it entirely.
    A possible contributing factor is hardware performance as we are testing the upgrade on an impact analysis system which is not as efficient as our live portal landscape.
    I've pasted the code which performs the authentication and extracts from the DIAGTOOL portal logs below which show the login module configuration (SAP standard I believe).
    Any help/advice what to try next would be greatly appreciated as we are running out of ideas.
    Thanks,
    Alan
    The following code performs the authentication and redirection to the portal user's home page:
    public void onRedirect(Event event) throws PageException {
                   getBean();
                   //Get resource bundle
                   ResourceBundle rbSetup =
                        ResourceBundle.getBundle(
                             "setup",
                             ((IPortalComponentRequest) this.getRequest()).getLocale());
                   ILogonAuthentication logonAuthentication =
                        UMFactory.getLogonAuthenticator();
                   HttpServletRequest req =
                        ((IPortalComponentRequest) this.getRequest())
                             .getServletRequest();
                   HttpServletResponse res =
                             (IPortalComponentRequest) this
                                  .getRequest())
                                  .getServletResponse(
                             true);
                   req.setAttribute(
                        ILoginConstants.LOGON_UID_ALIAS,
                        SelfRegBean.getLogonUid());
                   req.setAttribute(
                        ILoginConstants.LOGON_PWD_ALIAS,
                        SelfRegBean.getPassword());
                   Subject subject = null;
                   try {
                        subject = logonAuthentication.logon(req, res, AUTHSCHEME);
                        if (null != subject) {
                             res.sendRedirect(rbSetup.getString("REDIRECT_URL"));
                   } catch (LoginException e) {
                        SelfRegBean.setError(rb.getString(LOGIN_FAILED));
                   } catch (IOException e) {
                        SelfRegBean.setError(rb.getString(REDIRECT_FAILED));
    Full exception thrown when the authentication process fails:
