B2B Partner Integration Architecture

Hi All,
I have been through the documentation and I have not been able to understand the B2B partner integration solution of Oracle.
Oracle has talked about Oracle Application Server 10g Integration B2B with ebXML and EDI adapters is that the offering or am i missing something
Also, can somebody point me to documentation which details the architecture of the above App Server solution:
1. How does it provide the secure gateway communications between the enterprise and its external partners
2. How is it deployed AND
3. How does it manage data transformation (ebXML, EDI formats)

1. I wanted to know can the B2B gateways have all sorts of data transformation capabilities. For e.g. my external partner can send me unstructured data (let's say .csv) then can my B2B gateway convert that into any format that my backend systems understand (could be even flat files formats)?Being a packaged application, Oracle B2B supports all international standards. As far as I know, from Flat files to CSV files, you can send anything through B2B as B2B supports Custom Document protocol as well. 2. Also, what is the role of BPEL in B2B integration? How and where does that help an enterprise in the context of B2B gateway?BPEL is used for managing and governing Business Processes. B2B is the interface and BPEL is the back-end worker. Whenever you change / re-engineer a Business Process, you have to improve your data and process. B2B is something which deals with data (Document Protocol, Transport Protocol, Exchange Protocol, SSL) and BPEL holds processes which use and proess this data. B2B is not supposed to do any heavy business processing on the data received (however it can do validation and translation) so you need to have a back-end to perform these activities. Where and what is the current version of Appllication Integration for B2b. I see the version under applicaiton server 10.1.2. Is this the current version?

WLI Trading Partner Integration questions

Hello all,
I am currently working on an introductory article on WLI Trading Partner Integration. In an effort to make it relevant I want to ask anyone who is currently using/considering WLI for Trading Partner Integration if they have any questions on this topic.
The article will be technical and aimed at developers, so idealy I am looking for questions that probe subjects like the initial setup of trading partners, terms and definitions etc.
If anyone is interested helping to answer some of these questions I would like to hear from you too.

A bit more info. I created a new local trading partner and whe I try to add a new certificate for test use only I get the following message:
"Error while importing certificate new_test due to ASN.1: Lengths longer than 32 bits are not supported"
What would cause that? Is it a keystore configuration issue? A search on google and the weblogic console has found nothing.

SRM B2B - OCI integration.

We are implementing SRM B2B - OCI integration to a third party intenet order system. We are planning to use the add on component of SRM server in ECC6.0 ( integrated SRM server).

The ISA Development and extension guide talks about OCI. I've also seen a printout of some info from help.sap.com about how to use OCI but don't have a link to it unfortunately.

Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack on Oracle Service Bus

The paper on the Oracle web site from December 2008 titled "Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack on Oracle Service Bus" is an interesting read. The technology roadmap makes it clear the OSB is the future and current "old" ESB supported by AIA is going on the scrap heap. Now I know the OSB is not a supported platform for even the latest foundation pack so I wonder about why this paper was published. Is Oracle indicating foundation pack v 2.2.x support on OSB? Is it published as a "this is something to look forward to" type document? I honestly wonder since there are some pretty specific instructions on how to get it working and the authors are senior thought leaders for the AIA product.

2/04/08 Update - I see that with the AIA 2.3 release that Oracle Service Bus did not make the list of supported technology.

B2B-ESB Integration Error Text - 5084: XEngine error - Invalid data

Hi,
I am trying to integrate B2B with ESB.My requirement is that when i send an EDI XML file to B2B IP_OUT_QUEUE using a ESB process it needs to write an EDI file to a particular location.
For this I have defined a business Protocol as EDI X12 over Generic Exchange for an EDI 850 5020 document.I have defined my transport protocol as a File -1.0 in B2B for both Host Trading Partner and as well as the Remote Trading Partner.
Now when, I process the EDI XML file in ESB and send it to B2B i get an error in the Error Status Report.The following is the error.
Error Code as AIP-51505 and Error Text as 5084: XEngine error - Invalid data.

I am getting an validation error When i turn the validation on.I am getting an errorat MEA tag while doing the validation for EDI file.
Error Code:AIP-51505
Error Text:5034: Validator error - Extra data was encountered.

B2B - OSB Integration for RosettaNet Document

Hi,
I have the following requirement:
http://<<hostname:<<port>>/b2b/httpreceiver <-- OSB Business Service(BS) <-- OSB Proxy Service (PS)
The remote trading partner will be using the endpoint URL of the proxy service(PS) to post the RosettaNet message to our server.
The same set up is working fine for EDI messages.
But it is not working for inbound RosettaNet trxn. it is throwing Document Protocol identification error.
Please suggest.

I am new to B2B.I have created collaboration on both acme and globalchip servers using rosettaNet.i have deployed it and created agreement too on both servers.at last step while verifying the purchase order transactions,i have run the deq.sh on both servers.t1.trace file also generated but the trace file is empty.
Can u tell me why the trace file is empty and please let me know what steps i should follow next.

SAP MDM-BOBJ Integration architecture

Dear folks,
in one of the solution providing scenarios i need clarification on the architecture of BOBJ and MDM. i have been seeing in the documents that BOBJ server is falling in between source and MDM. However i feel it is more relevent to send a file from MDM to BOBJ and get the data enriched(Data quality) and send back to MDM. That means MDM is falling between source and BOBJ.
please provide some help on this.

We have the HR integratin running but always get the e-mail address in the BP under the section Communication and PPM always wants to use address-independent communication. I assume this is configuration but cannot figure out where.

SAP ha answered me that in theis system this functionality is working. They told me to enter these settings :
SPRO -->PPM --> Portfolio Management -->Base System interface -->SAP HCM integration --> SAP PPM system customizing for SAP HCM --> SAP Business Partner --> Activation Switch for functions
Flag : BUT000
            BUT020
            BUT0BK
            BUT100
I have flagged them and tested again and it is not working in my case, i send them back the message. I don't know if ot is due to another problem, You can test this solution.

Oracle soa suite provides the environment to make use of existing service by providing oracle adapters including Legacy,package and application adapters. futher which suituation and why need to use oracle AIA in order to make use existing resources. am little bit confuse both of this approach over integration.

when your integration is for integrating standard applications such as EBusiness uite,Siebel,SAP,Fusion Apps etc.For those application either the standard PIPs are available or at least industry specific or application specific EBOs are delivered by Oracle,then you can go for AIA.
For small integrations SOA suite is sufficient.

No. SharePoint can be used for many things but it is not built for doing any type of pub/sub messaging as you would see in products like MSMQ or MQSeries. You can use Microsoft Azure App Fabric for these types of applications.
