B8550 Printhead stuck - How do I get it repaired

I have a Photosmart B8550 which is out of warranty. It, itself is a replacement for the first one I had which went bad.
The printhead carraige is stuck on the right side, and I can't get it to move. It worked perfectly OK until this week.
I have tried every solution I can find on the HP site (and other sites found by web searches) and nothing works. They all end up as "service needed".
So I started searching for HP printer repair. I get to HP support and it looks up the warranty, and I can't get to chat or even send an email, or find a phone number to call (even if I was willing to pay). It basically sends me to this forum.
I have never been so frustrated by a manufacturer's website as I am with the HP Support site.
So my questions are:
1) Since other replies on this forum suggest that HP does not repair printers anymore (if I'm wrong, please let me know how to contact the right people) how can I get the internal cover off so I can see if there really is some paper or something stuck?
2) Is there an accessable latch somehere that didn't release, and is holding the cartridge carriage hostage? Are there any other "secret" procedures like a super-duper master reset that resets all the solenoids, relays, etc. to their default state?
3) Do you know of any third-parties who fix the B8550?

You are correct ... HP doesn't repair them. They'll offer you an "upgrade" but it costs more than the street price at many places.
I reluctantly went for the "upgrade" (actually a downgrade since I went from wide-format to letter-size) just so I could save my $100+ investment in the (relatively new) ink cartridges.
Once the new printer arrived, I used my Dremel tool to cut an access hole in the cover to get the cartidges out. After that, I tried to get the carriage to move. I don't know what is keeping the printhead from moving, but whatever it is, it was pretty well immovable. So the B8550 went to the e-recycle company and I have a full set of replacement ink.
Although the HP techs I finally spoke to were friendly and apologetic, it is really unfortunate that they are unable to effect a repair. One of the techs hinted that it would probably cost more than a new/refurb printer to do a repair.

Hold the "option" key on boot. Choose the system to boot.
Then "System Preferences > Startup Disk" to select Max OSX as your default system.
There is another "system preferences" in the Windows menu that is added by bootcamp to make it the default, but I do not know the details of that.

First things first if your iPhone cannot be recognised by your computer then you wont be able to get those photos off the iPhone.
In the event that it can be recognised you could import the photos to your PC/Mac. Follow the article below to do this:

As tonefox says, all iphones have ony one speaker on the bottom.

Workflows are stuck, how do I get them going again?

Hi all, we are on ECC 6.0 and we had a situation a few days ago whereby suddenly the wf-batch id was no longer able to communcate with the production system and all workflows stopped.
When I look at them via swia, it shows that they are in status "Ready". I don't know how I can "kickstart" the processes again so they will continue on running again from where they were interrupted. When I look at the workflow log for the last workitem, the message says "execution interrupted".
Any ideas on how I can get these going again in txn SWIA?

if problem is with WF-BATCH, then I think tell your basis to check the user-id.
I had a another issue with WF-BATCH, where I had to finally delete WF-BATCH and recreate it automatically from SWU3.

There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task:

I have the 60BG Video IPod, and I believe it needs repairs... A small while back, I was raking leaves while listening to music on it. I just turned it off in my pocket, so I didn't notice anything. Sometime during the next day, when I was going to watch a video, I noticed the screen is messed up. It just looks like someone burned a hole in the display, so nothing comes in correctly. The sound still works, just need to find my way to my sounds blindly... What I think I need to do is get Apple, or whomever, to reaplce the screen, but how do I go about doing so? I really doubt it's something covered in the warrenty, and I don't really care, I just want to be able to sent it in to get repaired... I want it back to being able to show videos and pictures, instead of it being a 60GB IPod Shuffle...

I live in Argentina. I bought a new iphone 3gs unlocked on January 20th, 2012, in Aventura Mall in Miami, Florida. I arrived in Buenos Aires last Saturday, 28th, turned it on, and it never worked. It shuts down, and freezes for long periods of time, strange things appear on the screen, basically, it DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.
I want to give it back, and get my money back, but there's no contact mail, or telephone I can call from Argentina. There are only 1-800 telephone numbers which I cannot use from here. Also, there is no official Apple Store or Repair Centre here in Buenos Aires.
I call to the Aventura Apple Store and a machine answers me, and does not re-direct my call to a repair centre or support centre.
I find no way to contact Apple regarding my problem. It seems I could only contact them if I lived in USA.
I can't believe I have bought an Apple product that does not work, and that I cannot claim to anybody. I have no way of asking for a replacement.

This is the way of Apple all over the world, Their toll free telephone numbers for AppleCare support are all country specific. Apple does not provide an international support number anywhere.

Considering that you're still running OS 10.5.8, that must be a pretty old MacBook. Instead of getting into an in-depth back and forth diagnostic discussion, I'd suggest bringing into an Apple Store for a checkout. Since repairs aren't cheap (if that's what's needed), you may end up simply replacing it. But does it not work even when plugged into the power adaptor?
