Back action from XML Show Form to XML RenderList Form

Hi to all, I have this problem:
When I click on my news (renderlist form) i open in the same window my news detail (show form).
Now i stay in my dhow form... i must click on "back" image to return to my Renderlist form.
I set the hyperlink on my "back" image to "http://"portalname":50100/irj/portal/"my quick link".
Now when i click on "back" image i return to my renderlist form but i open another poral page with mastheade, ecc, ecc.
THIS IS MY PROBLEM
Help me if possible

How to get back from Show form to Render List form in XML Forms

Hi,
As we use the Hyperlink "Display" in RenderList form to go to Show form similarly what kind of hyperlink shoul we use in Show Forms to get back to RenderList Forms.
We did try out with the Back option but are not getteing the desired result.

Images in xml show form

Hey folks,
could somebody help me please?
I will put an Navigation built with images in my XML show form.
I bulid this in an other HTML-Editor and would like to copy it into the XML show form but the images arn´t shown.
In which directory I have to copy this images and how is the path for it?
Can somebody help me?

Hi,
I have the xsl File from the XML Formsbuilder. With this file the show form is built!
In the XSL I will put in HTML Code. This is not a problem.
But I will put in a picture!
Example:
a href="#kontakt" name="menue">img border="0" src="1.gif" width="200" height="25" alt="Kontakt/Kurzinfo"></img</a
But I don´t know the correct path for the image source!
I copied the image into the project folder etc/xmlforms/project-folder
But as I created a new form, the pictures are not showed.
This is my problem. In which folder I have to copy the images and how is the path?

Process flow between edit ,renderlistitem and show form in XML form builder

Hi Rajeev!
There is no process flow between those forms. They are seperate views of the same document, nothing more.
The Edit form is always used if you create or edit a xml document based on the form.
The renderlist item form is used if more than one XML document is shown, for example in a list.
The show form ist used if the document should be displayed in full, eg by clicking on an XML document in a list.
It is even possible to add more custom forms and display them. If you "preview" an XML document, you get the choice to display the document with all display forms available (default Renderlist item and Show). If you watch the URL when previewing a xml document you'll see an URL parameter selecting the form to show.

Form are different when save an exist form as XML then load from XML

Hi everyone,
Who have experience that save an exist form as XML file then load from XML, some controls position, size and color different with the source form.
I want to use the system wizard form style and I saved system form MRP Wizard as XML file, when I load form from XML, the form shows picture with different position, size, the rectangle control lost color and position also different with source form, because I want to get the line color in the form, the separate line implement using rectangle, please share your opinion how to save the form as XML more Accurate.

Hi Kathy
After loading a form over XML, we made the experince that in matrices link buttons will not appear everwehere they should. It's a tricky part and we made a work around by changing the columns order and then...the Link Buttons came up ok.

In XML Show Form display Creator FirstName and LastName ?

Hi all,
In XML Form Builder i want to display the creator FirstName and LastName ( Diamond Admin) in the Show Form.
For egs:
Logon ID: diamond_admin
Last Name: Admin
First Name: Diamond
In the EDIT Form By using $sap_user and also createdBy property i'm getting the creator name as diamond_admin but i want to display the FirstName and LastName (Diamond Admin).
2)In the EDIT Form i used the Label for Time Based Publishing(TBP)
Opening Date = TimeStamp control
Closing Date = TimeStamp control
In the RenderList Form i'm showing the Closing Date label its display the date and time.
Closing Date= 05/12/08 08:00:00 PM
But i requirement is to show the closing date only not time(Closing Date= 05/12/08) in the RenderListItem Form..
How to do this?Please help me...

When you are editing the Show Form, select the correct label in the form and in the property list area (bottom right) you have a property named "Display As". Select "Display Name" for the value.
Make sure that in your Data Model your property has the data type "user"
The "Display As" parameter should also work for your date problem as you can select "Short" to only display the date.

XML show form error

Hello All,
I am trying to develop an XML form wherein Edit form i have an HTML editor and in Show form i want to display the message that in edited in Edit form. But when i run the Show form, i text is displayed like this:
 Alert! Change This is an HTML editor 
Idealy it should only display "This is an HTML editor"
I have taken this as filed as a lable in show form and in edit form it is HTML editor.
What could be the reason..
Kindly help me solving this issue..

Course of action? Parsing 1000+ PDF forms into XML.

I am looking to automate the parsing of hundreds of PDF Forms into XML and then do some basic validation. The preferred method would be to drop all of the PDF's into a folder, run a script, and then the PDF's would go to their corresponding directory based on a XML validation test (easy to do once I get the PDF form into XML).
Now, I have googled all around the web looking for plug ins, scripts, or anything that might accomplish this. Everything that might have a chance of working seems very elaborate and expensive.
Can anyone recommend plausible, cheap, and quick course of action? Also, the machines that these files are on are very locked down with security, if that impacts your feedback.

The request command is a form server command? Where do i type the Request.Form("page.form.field"). I dont really understand your statement on "Use request on the receiving page to get data" Could you help me by explaining more?

Hi Raj,
You can do that way, but at times what happens is, if u try changing the extension while saving it saves as "Form.xml.srf" wherein, still its recognized as a srf file. So, you save it as an srf first, and then, change (rename) the extension from .srf to .xml

XML shows in Flash, but doesn't show on server?

Hello.
I have a Flash website with 5 sections (Featured Work, News, About Me, Services, Contact). All the sections works fine, both in Flash and on the server, if the content isn't loaded from XML. But in the News section i use XML for loading the news.
If i test my movie in flash, the whole site works fine, and the XML News works perfect. But if i test the movie in a virtual server (like MAMP) or if i test it on my own server, the news section doesn't show.
I can't seem to find the problem?

I tried pasting the trace(MT2.newsNum,Number(MT2.newsNum)) in both out and in the for loop, and i still get the same trace "5 5"
I'm not really sure what to do, so i'll just try explaining my whole site to you:
I have my "main.fla" with three layers with actionsscript:
- Navigation Actions
     - Has a for loop that creates 6 textfields with clickevents and SWFAddress that changes between 6 frames in a MovieClip (SubNavBar).
- Positioning Actions
     - Positions the textfield buttons, the navigation bar, and the sub navigation bar in the SubNavBar movieclip, and places my dynamic background.
- XML
     - I can't explain the XML layer, so i have attached it.
The SubNavBar MovieClip has 6 frames. The 1 is empty, so the site is clear at first. In frame 2, 4 and 6 there is a for loop like in the navigation layer, so these layers have a sub navigation bar, that once again changes between some frames in a movieclip.
In frame 3 their is the news code i pasted earlier, and in frame 5 there isn't anything yes, but it should just be graphics.

Export PDF Form to XML through VBScript

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to automate the export of an Adobe PDF Form to XML, either using the Adobe SDK/AcroExch.App or the PDF Test Toolkit.
I'm wanting to perform this action via a QuickTest Pro Script and thought there might be a funciton already written to perform this action, rather than having to automate the selection of Document>>Forms>>Export Data... from the Adobe Reader Menu and the Export Dialog.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Are you trying to edit the Adobe Test Toolkit ? If yes, I think it’s not easy to edit Adobe Test Toolkit. If you want to export PDF file to Microsoft XML file and Adobe is not working with you, than I will recommend you to try Classic PDF Editor which can easily export PDF files to Microsoft XML files. Classic PDF Editor also done many other type of file conversation like PDF to Doc, XML, PPT etc
If Classic PDF Editor solve your problem, must come back share your important views about this software.

PDF form with XML data connection comes up blank at run time

I am a newbie to ADOBE Livecycle 9, but am very proficient in C#. I would like to request for your guidance on the following issue.
We have a desktop application in C#, WPF, Sqlserver. The requirement is to launch a Livecycle form from the application for the user to read/edit/save data
I have done this much so far -
Downloaded trial version of Livecycle 9
Developed a interactive PDf form
Created an XML based data connection. Generated fields on the form using the fields from this connection.
Set the .XML file as preview source for the form
the controls on the form are boumd to the xml data source
In design mode, the form works fine, it displays my data correctly
I have created a WPF form with a button. On click of this button, I call the Process.Start(pdf-file-path). My pdf is launched properly
I have added a combo box to my WPF form. I select a parameter from this, then call a stored procedure which returns me a datatable depending on parameter passed
Using the returned datatable, I have used the datatable.writexml and datatable.writexmlschema to create my XML and XSD files. as mentioned above, this xsd is used to create the data connection for the PDF and the XML for the preview source
This is what I want to do -
Launch the PDF from my WPF form, pre-populated with the newly created XML data from my WPF form.
So basically, as the user changes the selection criteria from the combo box, the XML file data will change and the PDF file will be launched each time with new data.
The XSD format will always be constant
Problem -
My XML and XSD get created properly, my PDF launches, but it is empty
If I change my selection criteria and run the WPF application, and then open the PDF in design mode, it asks me whether it should refresh the XML source. This means that the PDF form is connecting correctly to the XML source
So why then, does the form come up empty at run time?
What link am I missing?
I have found some sites that help using Web applications, but nothing for desktop applications. It would be fantastic if you could point me to some help for developing Livecycle forms with C# / SQLServer

Oops, something happended with the above post. I will try again... I have tried your suggestion but I still get the same garbled XML (with data repeated and some values "cut in half". Here is what I get after decode-service and extract-to-XML-service. This is just the first barcode, the others are similar, sorry for the poor formatting, but I get a CDATA tage infront of the "istensen" value. I have tried using a custom .NET component (ClearImage) for reading the same form (with the barcode) I get the correct data out from the barcodes. So I guess something is wrong with the decode-service in Barcoded Forms ES when I use compressed XML. But I can conclude since the ClearImage component can read the barcodes that they are compressed correctly. Can you help me with getting further with this problem? Sincerely Kim
