  • Browser Back Button and form navigation

    Some times when you use browser back button and adf-taskflow navigation buttons, validation on form fails, witout having made any change even with enabled token validation.
    Reproduction steps on HR schema:
    1. Create QueryDepartment and EditDepartment Views and navigation rules in adfc-config.xml
    2 Create ADF view only table page for QueryDepartment selectable, and add navigation button to go to EditDepartment
    3. Create EditDepartment form with navigation buttons and button to navigate back to QueryDepartment
    test:
    1.Run QueryDepartment and select a department
    2.Go to Edit Department using navigation button
    3.Navigate to next department pressing the 'Next' button
    4.Navigate back using the Browser Back button.
    5.Try to navigate back to QueryDepartment using the navigation button.
    My result is validation error on DepartmentId field 'Error: JBO-25013: '
    Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

    Hi,
    maybe I don't get it, but as I understood you have problem with focus on select button. So why don’t you set focus onLoad on another element of your page?
    Something like onload=”$x(‘ELEMENT_NAME’).focus()”;

  • Had problem with bookmarks, history, back button and google links not working.

    For the last five days i've had problems with firefox. First, i noticed that it was running incredibly slowly and then that all the links in the google search were not working. Then i noticed that neither was the history, bookmarks or back button. I went on to facebook chat to ask for help. First, I was told to reinstall firefox, which didn't work. Then i was told to do a "clean" install where you rename the old firefox folder in the programs folder so that it makes sure when it's installed that everything is new and nothing is corrupted. That didn't work either. I then disabled my antivirus software and firewall to see if that was causing the problem. It was not. Then I installed an anti-malware program to remove any adware or spywar,e which it did remove from my computer, but it didn't solve the problem. The chat person was at a loss and I don't blame him/her because so was I.
    The reason I'm writing this is in case anyone else has the same problem. The only way I solved it was first by uninstalling and making sure to check the little box asking if you want all personal data and such associated with firefox also removed (which removes cookies as well) and then I finally thought to delete all the cookies from the rest of my computer also. Once all the cookies were gone and i had fully uninstalled firefox and personal data, I reinstalled it with a newly downloaded file and it is once again functioning properly. Hope this is helpful to anyone who's been ripping their hair out. :)

  • Flash site with Back Button and Favorites enabled

    I've search everywhere I can think and can't find the answer I need.
    I want the user to be able to bookmark or use a back button in internet explorer or any internet browser on a 100% flash-based site.
    For Example: http://www.mountaindewgamefuel.com/
    When you click on any of the link on the top menu, you will be re-directed to http://www.mountaindewgamefuel.com/#/signin if you're not signed in, but you stay on the same page, just the flash changes.
    And if you type something in the url after the /#/, like adobe: http://www.mountaindewgamefuel.com/#/adobe
    It goes and plays the transisiton and goes to a blank window with section.name as the title of that window, since "adobe" doesn't exsist.
    So my question is, How do I make this work Like Pepsi did? Thanks.

    KB956196's list of "products that this article applies to" includes IE6-10,
    but not IE11,
    and it also does not include Win8.1.
    The last review of that KB was Oct 15, 2013.
    Methinks MS should either
    update the article to include IE11, if appropriate, or
    create a new article that specifically applies to IE11.
    And perhaps TechNet Support folks could refrain from applying aged boilerplate answers that reference outdated and perhaps irrelevant KB articles, or explain knowledgably in their responses that, while the article appears to reference older versions, its
    steps are still appropriate to follow.
    I only mention this because, while there is a wealth of info and useful support at this site, everytime I look and try to specify what I'm using, inevitably and invariably more than half the hits on my query are for either outdated or totally irrelevant
    applications. Would that there were filter options (see Amazon searches, lefthand side of screen, where you can narrow things down considerably).
    I'll shut up now.

  • Latest security update stole my back button and my "new window"

    I am unable to go back a page because the back button that was in the upper right corner is not longer there. I have to close out completely to go back one page. I have a place called "New Window" but the area where for years I have typed in a URL is no longer there and there is no way to type anything without going to "Open a Location" which works but of course I still can not go back.

    Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Windows)
    * If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
    * If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

  • When I open a slde show in New Yahoo Mail I can't get back to Yahoo. When I click on the "back to Yahoo" button, the screen freezes with a gray cast over it and I have to use the back button and forward button to get back to my inbox.

    This problem started immediately after I upgraded to Firefox 9.0.1
    If I open my inbox in my New Yahoo Mail, then open an email with attachments and then open the attachments to "view as a slide show"....I can't close the slide show and return to the email by clicking on the "return to Yahoo" button. If you click on it, it returns to the first pic shown, and if you click on it again, the pics disappear and a gray haze appears over most of the screen but none of the features under the gray screen work. I have found that if I hit the back page and then forward page buttons, I can get back to my inbox eventually, but this is a terrible "pain in the ass"!

  • I hate the update of the bar. It has totally done away with being able to skip back several places in the browser; now I can only click the back button and go back one page at a time. I otherwise hate the new layout, too. How do I undo this?

    I can't choose a specific page to skip back to but must click the back button over and over to get back to where I want to skip to. The little headings "most visited," "getting started," "Youtube," etc. have changed. They look more colorful, but I hate how the home button is clear over to the right side of the page, etc. What was wrong with the way everything was before? I HATE this new update, and I didn't even want it.

    You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
    If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker

  • Suddenly, I have no back button and an extra tool bar

    When I came in this morning and opened Firefox 4.0b.11 I seem to have a rather odd set up. I have the normal top blue bar that I normally see on all windows applications, with the red x, minimize, maximize. Then below it, I see the blue bar that I shows up on my netbook, which has the ed x, minimize, maximize, and then an orange omni-menu. Under that, I have the File menu.
    I would like to make the blue bar in the middle, the one with the orange omni-menu go away.
    I also have lost all tracking with my back button. It just stays grey, and I can not go back with it, or right-click.
    ::edit:: my panorama is a mess too. It's putting all the windows out in space by themselves, duplicating containers without any function (plain boxes that behave as if they are not there). My windows are appearing black instead of with previews, when I open new tab in panorama, they don't show up, and it shows me the last panorama set I was in, until I manually go in and open a new tab in the browser window, then it jumps me into the other panorama set, and the tab I opened in panorama is there after that.
    ::edit:: my panorama windows are showing certain tabs, but when I enter into a tab, the actual tabs that are showing on my tab bar don't match.
    ::edit:: I've got no reload button either, or right click-reload, and the URL bar isn't showing the right URL when I switch tabs.
    I can reload tabs by right clicking on them still.
    Sorry, I've got to switch back to FF3.6 for the day; I'm a web developer and a lack of the refresh button kills productivity.

    It may be due to Firebug. Seeing as how you're a web developer, it's very possible you have this installed. The latest version, 1.7X a10, appears to cause everything you described. I downgraded to "a8" and that seems to have fixed everything.
    I also recreated a profile from scratch before trying this out, so I can't guarantee it's definitely Firebug.
    Similar issue: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/783078
    edit: If you go to the Firebug forums, you'll see this is now a known problem. http://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/detail?id=4012 for the issue tracker.

  • JSF seems not to support the use of the back buttons and html frames.

    Im having the following problem. I have a JSP which contains a button that register a listener. Here is part of the code:
    <h:command_hyperlink label="<%=engineBean.getId()%>" commandName="<%=engineBean.getId()%>">
    <f:action_listener type="helloDuke.CommandAction"/>
    </h:command_hyperlink>
    This action listener only forwards the request to other simple JSP.
    The problem appears in the following situation:
    1 I click in the button that generates the event that will be processed by helloDuke.CommnadAction listener.
    2 It forward to a second JSP page.
    3 This second page is rendered to the user properly.
    4 The user clicks in the browsers back button to return to previous page.
    Then if is the user clicks in first page button, the CommandAction listener was removed. You must click again in the button to forward to the correct page.
    The same happened if you are using html frames. If you have a frame with 2 pages and both pages register action listeners.
    The last loaded page cleans the actions listener of the other.
    Does anybody have any solution?.
    It seems JSF doesnt support the use of frames and I think that in some situation the frames are the solution to several problems.
    Any help will be really appreciated.

    Using the saveStateInClient=true produces a faulty output when using the command_button and an action_listener. The page that is rendered is totally useless: the button won't work, and due to the faulty rendering there's an output like: >com.sun.faces.saveStateMarker
    So, why is it, that pressing the button (not using the saveStateInClient option) will only work the second time, same thing pressing the backbutton. Pressing the reload button will toggle between two pages - the one before the session id is assigned and the one that it's supposed to show.
    Any guess will be greatly appreciated !!!!

  • Struts : checkbox status is unchanged if i use back button and uncheck it.

    hi
    I have a couple of checkboxes in a jsp page used in struts framework. I am using DynaValidatorForm as form bean with session scope, so it means the properties are mapped only in the struts-config.xml. the checkboxes' property names are checkbox1 and checkbox2.
    now the in the action class, i do:
    public ActionForward execute(ActionMapping mapping,
                ActionForm form,
                HttpServletRequest request,
                HttpServletResponse response)
         throws Exception {
              DynaValidatorForm dynaform = (DynaValidatorForm)form;
                                              System.out.println("1st checkbox value:"+ dynaform.get("checkbox1") );
                                              System.out.println("2nd checkbox value:"+ dynaform.get("checkbox2") );
    }Now if I check the first checkbox and press on submit button, the action class prints out:
    1st checkbox value: on
    2nd checkbox value: off
    this is as expected
    Now I click on the back button, then i uncheck the first checkbox and click on submit.
    the output is same as before, i.e.:
    1st checkbox value: on //wrong
    2nd checkbox value: off
    I expected it to be
    1st checkbox value: off
    2nd checkbox value: off
    That means if in a session if i check on checkbox 'on', and i go back and uncheck it, the uncheck is never stored, i.e. the property is never set to 'off' .
    Now if i check the second one, and click on submit, output is :
    1st checkbox value: on //expected off
    2nd checkbox value: on //correct
    now i go back and uncheck the 2nd checkbox (the first checkbox is already unchecked before), click submit and i get this output:
    1st checkbox value: on //expected off
    2nd checkbox value: on //expected off
    Please let me know what is happening. I expect the values of uncheck boxes to be 'off'
    thanks
    Tanveer

    The String[] thing is only useful when you have multiple checkboxes of the same name.
    What is the scope of the form bean? Request or session? If it's request, then that makes no sense. If it's session, then it does make sense because the same bean is being used, and as a result, the values are not really reset. And since HTML forms work by not submitting anything for unchecked checkboxes, then the server doesn't get anything in the request form data to know to change the checkbox to any other value.
    If you are using session scope, then make sure you have a good reason to. Otherwise, use request.

  • Back buttons and required fields...how to implement?

    Hello
    I would like some thoughts on the best approach to the following problem please.
    -You have a wizard, lets say made up of 2 pages.
    -Page 2 has some required fields.
    -User goes from page 1 to page 2 then wants to return to page 1 for whatever reason.
    -(Assuming they havent filled in the required components), what is the best way to let the user navigate back to page 1, without the system kicking in its required fields warnings etc..
    One option I have thought of is populating the fields myself, but this feels like a hack.
    Second option could be to edit the required=#{} of the required components when the back button is pressed?
    Any thoughts?
    JC.

    Good tip.
    ok, back to the main thread. immediate = true will result in any data the user entered being forgotten. The solution does by-pass the required rules, so its a mini result.
    Tomahawk does have a stateSave component.
    <t:saveState id="save" value="#{bean.xxx}" />
    And a JavaScipt listener component.. I'm thinking both or one of these could be used to remember/store the state..
    If anyone has any other solutions then please post.

  • Question about back button and Onload function in a jsp

    Hi All,
    I am having two jsp pages, say a.jsp and b.jsp. I had a javascript onload function which refreshes all the fields in a.jsp. When i enter some values in a.jsp, based on those values i will be getting the results in b.jsp. Now when i click the back button in b.jsp, it will go to a.jsp again. The problem i am facing is when i click this back button, because of the onload function in a.jsp all the fields in a.jsp are getting refreshed but i want the values which i entered previously in that page. Is there a way that i can do this such that the onload function will not run when i come to that jsp by clicking the back button.
    Also i would like to know why a.jsp is reloading when we click the back button in b.jsp and coming to a.jsp. Is this way how back button will function. I am not sure of it. Plz clarify my doubts..
    Thx.....

    Normally it is not advisable to use the browser back button rather if there is a need we should
    implement the back button functionality.
    For e.g
    In b.jsp
    <head>
    </head>
    <script language="Javascript">
    function fnBack()
      document.frmHeader.action = "a.jsp";
      document.frmHeader.submit();
    </script>
    <form name="frmHeader" method= "post">
    <input type="hidden" name="hdCheckFromB" value="Y">
    <p>
    <input type="button" name="btnBack" value="Back" onClick="javascript:fnBack();">
    </p>
    </form>
    </body>---------------------------------------
    Now , in a.jsp
    <%
    String strBackParameter = requst.getParameter("hdCheckFromB");
    %>
    // Now if strBackParameter is carrying a value "Y" , then we know its from B else body onLoad refresh-------------------------------------
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
